A monogenic function of two vector variables is a function annihilated by the operator consisting of two Dirac operators, which are associated to two variables, respectively. We give the explicit form of differential operators in the Dirac complex resolving this operator and prove its ellipticity directly. This open the door to apply the method of several complex variables to investigate this kind of monogenic functions. We prove the Poincaré lemma for this complex, i.e. the non-homogeneous equations are solvable under the compatibility condition by solving the associated Hodge Laplacian equations of fourth order. As corollaries, we establish the Bochner--Martinelli integral representation formula for this differential operator and the Hartogs' extension phenomenon for monogenic functions. We also apply abstract duality theorem to the Dirac complex to obtain the generalization of Malgrange's vanishing theorem and establish the Hartogs--Bochner extension phenomenon for monogenic functions under the moment condition.
In recent years, the study of slice monogenic functions has attracted more and more attention in the literature. In this paper, an extension of the well-known Dirac operator is defined which allows to establish the Lie superalgebra structure behind the theory of slice monogenic functions. Subsequently, an inner product is defined corresponding to this slice Dirac operator and its polynomial null-solutions are determined. Finally, analogues of the Hermite polynomials and Hermite functions are constructed in this context and their properties are studied.
Quaternionic Clifford analysis is a recent new branch of Clifford analysis, a higher dimensional function theory which refines harmonic analysis and generalizes to higher dimension the theory of holomorphic functions in the complex plane. So-called quaternionic monogenic functions satisfy a system of first order linear differential equations expressed in terms of four interrelated Dirac operators. The conceptual significance of quaternionic Clifford analysis is unraveled by showing that quaternionic monogenicity can be characterized by means of generalized gradients in the sense of Stein and W…
Spaces of spinor-valued homogeneous polynomials, and in particular spaces of spinor-valued spherical harmonics, are decomposed in terms of irreducible representations of the symplectic group Sp$( p)$. These Fischer decompositions involve spaces of homogeneous, so-called $\mathfrak{osp}(4|2)$-monogenic polynomials, the Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{osp}(4|2)$ being the Howe dual partner to the symplectic group Sp$( p)$. In order to obtain Sp$( p)$-irreducibility this new concept of $\mathfrak{osp}(4|2)$-monogenicity has to be introduced as a refinement of quaternionic monogenicity; it is defined …
Hermitian monogenic functions are the null solutions of two complex Dirac type operators. The system of these complex Dirac operators is overdetermined and may be reduced to constraints for the Cauchy datum together with what we called the Hermitian submonogenic system (see [8],[9]). This last system is no longer overdetermined and it has properties that are similar to those of the standard Dirac operator in Euclidean space, such as a Cauchy-Kowalevski extension theorem and Vekua type solutions. In this paper, we investigate plane wave solutions of the Hermitian submonogenic system, leading to…
We extend constructions of classical Clifford analysis to the case of indefinite non-degenerate quadratic forms. We define (p,q)-left- and right-monogenic functions by means of Dirac operators that factor a certain wave operator. We prove two different versions of Cauchy's integral formulas for these functions. The two formulas arise from dealing with singularities in distinct ways, and are inspired by the methods of [L, FL]. These results indicate the merit of these methods for dealing with singularities.
It is well-known that polynomials decompose into spherical harmonics. This result is called separation of variables or the Fischer decomposition. In the paper we prove the Fischer decomposition for spinor valued polynomials in $k$ vector variables of ${\mathbb R}^m$ under the stable range condition $m\geq 2k$. Here the role of spherical harmonics is played by monogenic polynomials, that is, polynomial solutions of the Dirac equation in $k$ vector variables.
