Meson transition form factors describe the coupling of photons and hadrons. They are an important input to the calculations of the light-by-light scattering contribution of the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon. At the BESIII experiment in Beijing, the transition form factors of pseudoscalar mesons are studied in their Dalitz decays, in their radiative production in $e^+e^-$ annihilation, and in their production in two-photon scattering. All relevant kinematic regimes are covered. An overview of the recent results and the status of the ongoing analyses is provided.

This report summarizes recent results of the BESIII experiment related to the glueballs and strangeonium-like states.
In this document we present the latest result on rare/forbidden decays for D mesons at the BESIII experiment. Based on 2.92/fb data taken at the center-of-mass energy 3.773 GeV with the BESIII detector, the flavor-changing neutral current process of neutral D decays into two gammas is searched using a double tag technique, while the decays of charged D decays into a charged kaon/pion plus two electrons/positrons are studied based on a single tag method. The resulting upper limits are still above the Standard Model predictions.

Based on these dataset, BESIII has made great effort on the study of the charmonium decays, some important of which have been reviewed in this proceeding. In addition, a searching for new physics through the $CP/P$ violation process is reported.

The analyses range from detailed studies of the common decays dynamics, observations of new radiative and Dalitz decays, and search for rare/…
Based on the data samples collected at the energies of $J/ψ$, $ψ(3686)$, $ψ(3770)$ and $ψ(4040)$ resonances with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII storage ring, we present charmonium decays in two aspects. One is the search for baryonic decays of $ψ(3770)$ and $ψ(4040)$, including $Λ\barΛπ^+π^-$, $Λ\barΛπ^0$, $Λ\barΛη$, $Σ^+ \barΣ^-$, $Σ^0 \barΣ^0$, $Ξ^-\barΞ^+$ and $Ξ^0\barΞ^0$. None are observed, and upper limits are set at the 90% confidence level. The other is the light hadron spectroscopy from charmonium radiative decays, including the spin-parity analysis of the $p\bar p$ mass-threshold …
Several states that couple to one light-meson and a heavy-charmonium are recently reported, including the $Z_c(3900)$ and $Z_c(4020)$. These states cannot be interpreted within the constituent quark-model of mesons, and are good candidates for a new form of quark matter, four-quark matter. A review of recent results on new charmonium-like states studied at BESIII is presented.
In recent years, lots of studies of charmonium decays have been performed at BESIII based on large data samples of $J/ψ$, $ψ(3686)$ and $ψ(3770)$. Recent results in searches for radiative transitions of $ψ(3770)$ and rare phenomena in charmonium decays, and studies of light hadrons structures and properties will be presented.
BESIII experiment has collected about 20 fb$^{-1}$ luminosity data between $\sqrt{s}=3.8$ and 4.7 GeV via $e^{+}e^{-}$ collision. In this talk, we present the recent $XYZ$ results at BESIII, including mass and width measurements of $Y(4220)$, search for $Y$ states with rare decay modes, isospin parity determination of $Z_{c}^{0}(3900)$ as well as the mass and width determination, and search for new decay modes of $X(3872)$.
Leptonic and semi-leptonic $D$ decays at BESIII contribute the most precise experimental measurement of $|V_{cs(d)}|$ and form factor $f_{D_{(s)}}$ in the world based on 2.93 fb$^{-1}$ and 3.19 fb$^{-1}$ data taken at center-of-mass energies $\sqrt{s} = 3.773$ and 4.180~GeV, respectively. The largest samples at the mass threshold of the charmed hardons $D_{(s)}$ also provide chances to extract form factors of some semi-electronic decays for the first time and together with the semi-muonic decays we could understand lepton flavour universality better.
Based on a data sample of $(448.1\pm2.9)\times10^6~ψ(3686)$ decays collected with the BESIII experiment, a search for the flavor changing neutral current transition $ψ(3686)\rightarrow Λ_c^+ \overline{p} e^+ e^- + c.c.$ is performed for the first time. No signal candidates are observed and the upper limit on the branching fraction of $ψ(3686)\rightarrow Λ_c^+ \overline{p} e^+ e^-$ is determined to be $1.7\times10^{-6}$ at the 90\% confidence level. The result is consistent with expectations from the Standard Model, and no evidence for new physics is found.

The Beijing Spectrometer (BESIII) collaboration uses $e^+e^-$ collisions in the tau-charm energy region to study a broad spectrum of topics. These include studies of light mesons and light baryons, studies of charmonium, including exotic mesons and baryons containing charmonium, studies of charmed mesons and baryons, studies of QCD and tau physics, as well as searches for new physics. The following is a Snowmass white paper that outlines the BESIII accomplishments and potential in each of these areas.
The study of mesons and baryons which contain at least one charm quark is referred to as open charm physics. It offers the possibility to study up-type quark transitions. Since the $c$ quark can not be treated in any mass limit, theoretical predictions are difficult and experimental input is crucial. BESIII collected large data samples of $e^{+}e^{-}$ collisions at several charm thresholds. The at-threshold decay topology offers special opportunities to study open charm decays. We present a selection of recent BESIII results. Branching fractions and the $D_{s}^{+}$ decay constant are measured …
BESIII has made great progress in taking data which is the largest data samples near the $Λ_{c}^{+}\barΛ_{c}^{-}$ threshold. We have measured the branching fraction of $Λ_{c}^{+}\to nπ^{+}$ to be $(6.6\pm 1.2_{\mathrm{stat.}}\pm 0.4_{\mathrm{syst.}})\times 10^{-4}$ with the statistical significance of 7.3 $σ$ firstly using $3.9\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ $e^{+}e^{-}$ collision collected with BESIII detector at six center-of-mass energies between 4.612 and 4.699 GeV. With the result of the branching fraction of $Λ_{c}^{+}\to pπ^{0}$ from Belle, the ratio of the branching fractions between $Λ_{c}^{+}\to n…
We present a selection of recent results from the BESIII collaboration, including both charmonium and $D$ meson physics. We first discuss the observation of a charged, charmonium-like state, the $Z_c(3900)$. Conventional charmonium topics include a search for lepton flavor violation, studies of $χ_{cJ} \to γγ$ decays, and mass and width determinations for the $h_c$, $η_c(1S)$, and $η_c(2S)$. We finish with results on the decay constant $f_D$ from $D^+ \to μ^+ ν$ and on form-factors in $D^0 \to K^- e^+ ν, π^- e^+ ν$.
We present here three analyses of semileptonic $D$-meson decays based on the 2.92 fb$^{-1}$ of data collected by the BESIII experiment in 2010 and 2011 at the $ψ$(3770) peak. For the decay $D^{+}\to K^{-}π^{+}e^{+}ν_{e}$, its branching fraction is measured over the whole $m_{Kπ}$ region and in the $\overline{K}^{*}(892)^{0}$ window, respectively. A partial wave analysis (PWA) is performed, indicating an \emph{S}-wave contribution of about 6\%. The \emph{S}-wave phase and the form factors are measured by the PWA and in a model-independent way. For the decay $D^{+}\to ωe^{+}ν_{e}$, an improved m…
The Flavor Changing Neutral Current decays(FCNC) is forbidden at tree level in the Standard Model (SM) and could only contribute through loops. Any direct observation beyond SM expectations could be a good probe of physics beyond SM. BESIII is a currently running tau-charm factory with the largest samples of on threshold charm meson pairs, directly produced charmonia and some other unique datasets at BEPCII collider. It has great potential to probe these FCNC decays from multiple channels. Here we review some of latest search results of FCNC decays from BESIII. We present the latest results of…
Hadron spectroscopy is one of the most important physics goals of BESIII. BESIII brings great opportunities to study the XYZ states of charmonium by directly producing the Y states up to 4.6 GeV. High statistics of charmonium decays collected at BESIII provide an excellent place for hunting gluonic excitations and studying the excited baryons. Recent results of light hadron spectroscopy and charmonium spectroscopy from BESIII will be reported.
Since the present $ω$ meson family has not been established, in this work, we carry out an investigation of the mass spectrum and Okubo-Zweig-Iizuka a allowed two-body strong decay of the $S$-wave and the $D$-wave $ω$ mesons, and make the comparison with the experimental data of these reported $ω$ states and the $ω$-like $X(2240)$ state observed by BESIII. By this study, we not only suggest the possible assignments to these observed $ω$ states under the framework of the $ω$ meson family, but also predict three $ω$ mesons ($ω(5S)$, $ω(2D)$ , and $ω(4D)$) which are still missing in experiment. A selection of results from electron-positron collisions at BESIII are reviewed. The results presented here illustrate the wide range of physics topics that can be studied using the Beijing Electron Positron Collider~(BEPC). At low collision energies, the cross section for $e^+e^-\to π^+π^-$ provides much-needed input into theoretical calculations of the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon, and the reaction $e^+e^-\to p\bar{p}$ provides access to the electromagnetic form factors of the proton. In the charmonium region, a large sample of $ψ^\prime$ decays can be used to measure new decay mode…
A brief report of some recent experimental developments concerning the $X$, $Y$ and $Z$ charmoniumlike mesons states and other puzzling states from the BaBar, Belle, BESIII and CDF experiments is presented.
The BESIII experiment at the electron-positron collider BEPCII in Beijing (China) is successfully operating since 2008 and has collected large data samples in the tau-mass region, including the world's largest data samples at the $J/ψ$ and $ψ'$ resonances. The recent observations of hyperon polarizations at BESIII opens a new window for testing CP violation, as it allows for simultaneous production and detection of hyperon and anti-hyperon pair two-body weak decays. The CP-symmetry tests can be performed in processes like e.g. $J/ψ\toΛ\barΛ$, $J/ψ,ψ'\toΣ^+\barΣ^-$ and $J/ψ\toΞ^-\barΞ^+$. For t…
Based on 2.92 fb$^{-1}$ of $e^+e^-$ collision data collected with the BESIII detector at $\sqrt{s}$ = 3.773 GeV, we measured the asymmetry $\mathcal{A}_{CP\to Kπ}$ of the branching fractions of $D^{CP\pm}\to K^-π^+$ ($D^{CP\pm}$ are the $CP$-odd and $CP$-even eigenstates) to be $(12.77\pm1.31^{+0.33}_{-0.31})\%$. $\mathcal{A}_{CP\to Kπ}$ is used to extract the strong phase difference $δ_{Kπ}$ between the doubly Cabibbo-suppressed process $\overline{D}{}^{0}\to K^- π^+$ and Cabibbo-favored $D^0\to K^- π^+$. By taking inputs of other parameters in world measurements, we obtain $\cosδ_{Kπ} = 1.03…

The study of hyperon decays at the Beijing Electron Spectrometer III (BESIII) is proposed to investigate the events of $J/ψ$ decay into hyperon pairs, which provide a pristine experimental environment at the Beijing Electron--Positron Collider II. About $10^{6}$--$10^8$ hyperons, i.e., $Λ$, $Σ$, $Ξ$, and $Ω$, will be produced in the $J/ψ$ and $ψ(2S)$ decays with the proposed data samples at BESIII. Based on these samples, the measurement sensitivity of the branching fractions of the hyperon decays is in the range of $10^{-5}$--$10^{-8}$. In addition, with the known center-of-mass energy and "t…
The light unflavoured meson $η/η^{\prime}$ decays are valuable for testing non-perturbative quantum chromodynamics and exploring new physics beyond the Standard Model. This paper describes a series of event generators, including $η/η^{\prime}\toγl^{+}l^{-}$, $η/η^{\prime}\toγπ^{+}π^{-}$, $η^{\prime}\toωe^{+}e^{-}$, $η\toπ^{+}π^{-}π^{0}$, $η/η^{\prime}\toπ^{0}π^{0}π^{0}$, $η^{\prime}\toηππ$ and $η^{\prime}\toπ^{+}π^{-}π^{+}π^{-}/π^{+}π^{-}π^{0}π^{0}$, which have been developed for investigating $η/η^\prime$ decay dynamics. For most of these generators, their usability has been validated in BESI…
In this paper, I report the preliminary results of the strong phase difference $\cosδ_{Kπ}$ between the doubly Cabibbo-suppressed process $\overline{D}{}^0\to K^- π^+$ and Cabibbo-favored $D^0\to K^- π^+$ at BESIII. In addition, the preliminary results of the $D^0$-$\overline{D}{}^0$ mixing parameter $y_\mathrm{CP}$ by analyzing $CP$-tagged semileptonic $D$ decays are presented. These measurements were carried out based on the quantum-correlated technique in studying the process of $D^0\overline{D}{}^0$ pair productions of 2.92 fb$^{-1}$ $e^+e^-$ collision data collected with the BESIII detect…
Recently, LHCb experiment announced a 3.5$σ$ evidence for direct CP violation in $D^0$ decay by looking at the difference between $A_{CP}(D^0\rightarrow K^+K^-)$ and $A_{CP}(D^0\rightarrow π^+π^-)$. This is the first evidence of CP violation in charm system, which may indicate new physics beyond the Standard Model. Motivated by this measurement, we review rare processes in charmonium decay, especially, the weak decay, $C$ or $P$ violated decay and lepton flavor violated decays. In case the new physics appears in charm sector, these rare decays of charmonium states will provide opportunity to s…
