Oscillation modes of compact stars, in general, can serve as a fingerprint in determining the equation of state (EOS) of dense matter. In this study, we examine the impact of symmetry energy slope ($L$) on the oscillation frequencies of neutron stars (NSs) with nucleon-nucleon short range correlation (SRC) and admixed dark matter (DM) for the first time within the relativistic mean-field theory. By adjusting the $L$, we revise the EOS and coupling parameters in light of the SRC and DM effects, and construct the new sets. The results reveal that NSs containing SRC and DM inside are more likely to satisfy the observational constraints, and we find that smaller $L$ exhibits larger fundamental non-radial and radial frequencies, and that the effect on Large Separation (LG) is also mainly concentrated in the low-mass region. Moreover, we update the linear relationship between the non-radial frequency and mean density, and we further give empirical relations between non-radial and radial frequencies and tidal deformability at different $L$ for 1.4$M_{\odot}$ and 2$M_{\odot}$. These findings will enable us to more effectively confine the NS EOSs, in turn, also provide a strategy to place constraints on the $L$.
In this work, we study the effects of nuclear symmetry energy slope on neutron star dense matter equation of state and its impact on neutron star observables (mass-radius, tidal response). We construct the equation of state within the framework of covariant density functional theory implementing coupling schemes of non-linear and density-dependent models with viability of heavier non-nucleonic degrees of freedom. The slope of symmetry energy parameter ($L_{\text{sym}}$) is adjusted following density-dependence of isovector meson coupling to baryons. We find that smaller values of $L_{\text{sym…
We investigated compact stars consisting of cold quark matter and fermionic dark matter treated as two admixed fluids. We computed the stellar structures and fundamental radial oscillation frequencies for different masses of the dark fermion in the cases of weak and strong self-interacting dark matter. We found that the fundamental frequency can be dramatically modified and, in some cases, stable dark strange planets and dark strangelets with very low masses and radii can be formed.
We use a set of hadronic equations of state derived from covariant density functional theory to study the impact of their high-density behavior on the properties of rapidly rotating $Δ$-resonance-admixed hyperonic compact stars. In particular, we explore systematically the effects of variations of the bulk energy isoscalar skewness, $Q_{\mathrm{sat}}$, and the symmetry energy slope, $L_{\mathrm{sym}}$, on the masses of rapidly rotating compact stars. With models for equation of state satisfying all the modern astrophysical constraints, excessively large gravitational masses of around $2.5 \, M…

We investigate the $f$-mode oscillation of the dark matter admixed hyperon star within the relativistic Cowling approximation. The macroscopic properties are calculated with the relativistic mean-field equation of states by assuming that the dark matter particles are inside the star. The $f$-mode oscillation frequencies (only for $l=2$) are calculated with four different neutron star equation of states. We also check the effects of hyperons/dark matter and hyperons with dark matter equation of states on the $f$-mode oscillations varying with different astrophysical quantities such as mass ($M$…
The neutron star properties are generally determined by the equation of state of $β$-equilibrated dense matter. In this work, we consider the interaction of fermionic dark matter (DM) particles with the nucleons via Higgs exchange and investigate its effect on the neutron star properties with the relativistic mean-field model equation of state coupled with DM. We deduce that DM significantly affects the neutron star properties, such as considerably reduce the maximum mass of the star, which depends on the percentage of the DM considered inside the neutron star. The tidal Love numbers both for …

We investigate the impact of the neutron-star matter equation of state on the $f$- and $p_1$-mode oscillations of neutron stars obtained within the Cowling approximation and linearized general relativity. The $f$- and $p_1$-mode oscillation frequencies, and their damping times are calculated using representative sets of Skyrme Hartree-Fock and relativistic mean-field models, all of which reproduce nuclear systematics and support $2M_\odot$ neutron stars. Our study shows strong correlations between the frequencies of $f$- and $p_1$-modes and their damping times with the pressure of $β$-equilibr…
We consider torsional oscillations that are trapped in a layer of spherical-hole (bubble) nuclear structure, which is expected to occur in the deepest region of the inner crust of a neutron star. Because this layer intervenes between the phase of slab nuclei and the outer core of uniform nuclear matter, torsional oscillations in the bubble phase can be excited separately from usual crustal torsional oscillations. We find from eigenmode analyses for various models of the equation of state of uniform nuclear matter that the fundamental frequencies of such oscillations are almost independent of t…
In the crust of a neutron star, global torsional oscillations could occur in two elastic layers. The outer and inner layers are composed of spherical and cylindrical nuclei and of cylindrical holes (tubes) and spherical holes (bubbles), respectively, while between these two layers, a phase of slab-like (lasagna) nuclei with vanishingly small elasticity is sandwiched. In this work, we update systematic calculations of the eigenfrequencies of the fundamental oscillations in the inner layer by newly allowing for the presence of tubes. We find that the frequencies still depend strongly on the slop…
