In this study, we investigate the light charged Higgs boson production via $pp \rightarrow H^\pm bj$ in the type-I configuration of the Two-Higgs Doublet Model (2HDM). In the viable parameter space, assuming either $h$ or $H$ is the SM-like Higgs boson observed at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), we focus on the bosonic decays $H^\pm \rightarrow W^\pm A/h$ and examine the final states arising from the above charged Higgs production and decay. We show here that the suggested signatures can have sizable rates, reaching the pb level, when the top quark is produced on-shell and $\tanβ$ is small.
Following the discovery of a Higgs boson, there has been renewed interest in the general 2-Higgs-Doublet Model (2HDM). A model with One Inert Doublet plus One Higgs Doublet (I(1+1)HDM), where one of the scalar doublets is "inert" (since it has no vacuum expectation value and does not couple to fermions) has an advantage over the 2HDM since it provides a good Dark Matter (DM) candidate, namely the lightest inert scalar. Motivated by the existence of three fermion families, here we consider a model with two scalar doublets plus one Higgs doublet (I(2+1)HDM), where the two scalar doublets are ine…
We make a phenomenological study of a model with two inert doublets plus one Higgs doublet (I(2+1)HDM) which is symmetric under a Z$_2$ group, preserved after Electro-Weak Symmetry Breaking (EWSB) by the vacuum alignment $(0,0,v)$. This model may be regarded as an extension to the model with one inert doublet plus one Higgs doublet (I(1+1)HDM), by the addition of an extra inert scalar doublet. The neutral fields from the two inert doublets provide a viable Dark Matter (DM) candidate which is stabilised by the conserved $Z_2$ symmetry. We study the new Higgs decay channels offered by the scalar…
We introduce a 3-Higgs Doublet Model (3HDM) with two Inert (or dark) scalar doublets and an active Higgs one, hence termed I(2+1)HDM, in the presence of a discrete $Z_3$ symmetry acting upon the three doublet fields. We show that such a construct yields a Dark Matter (DM) sector with two mass-degenerate states of opposite CP parity, both of which contribute to DM dynamics, which we call \textit{Hermaphrodite DM}, distinguishable from a (single) complex DM candidate. We show that the relic density contributions of both states are equal, saturating the observed relic density compliant with (in)d…
We present the complete set of continuous maximal symmetries that the potential of an $n$-Higgs Doublet Model ($n$HDM) should satisfy for natural Standard Model (SM) alignment. As a result, no large mass scales or fine-tuning is required for such alignment, which still persists even if these symmetries were broken softly by bilinear mass terms. In particular, the Maximal Symmetric $n$HDM (MS-$n$HDM) can provide both natural SM alignment and quartic coupling unification up to the Planck scale. Most remarkably, we show that the MS-2HDM is a very predictive extension of the SM governed by two onl…
The potential of $n$-Higgs Doublet Models ($n$HDMs) contains a large number of SU(2)$_L$-preserving accidental symmetries as subgroups of the symplectic group Sp(2$n)$. To classify these, we introduce prime invariants and irreducible representations in bilinear field space that enable us to explicitly construct accidentally symmetric $n$HDM potentials. We showcase the classifications of symmetries and present the relationship among the theoretical parameters of the scalar potential for; (i) the Two Higgs Doublet Model (2HDM) and (ii) the Three Higgs Doublet Model (3HDM). We recover the maximum…
Maximally Symmetric $n$-Higgs Doublet Models (MS-$n$HDMs)define very economic settings that enable sharp Higgs-sector predictions beyond the Standard Model (SM) potentially testable at high-energy colliders. The scalar potential of a MS-$n$HDM obeys an $\mathrm{Sp(2}n)$ symmetry, which is softly broken by bilinear scalar masses and explicitly by hypercharge and Yukawa couplings through renormalisation-group effects. The $\mathrm{Sp(2}n)$ also ensures natural SM alignment and allows for quartic coupling unification up to the Planck scale. As typical examples, we consider maximally symmetric rea…
A $ Z_3 $ symmetric 3-Higgs Doublet Model (3HDM) with two inert doublets and one active doublet (that plays the role of the Higgs doublet), the so-called I(2+1)HDM, is studied. We discuss the behaviour of this 3HDM realisation when one allows for a $ Z_3 $ soft breaking term. Such a symmetry enables the presence of a two-component Dark Matter (DM) scenario in the form of "Hermaphrodite DM", where the two inert candidates have opposite CP parity and are protected by this discrete symmetry from decaying into Standard Model (SM) particles. Furthermore, the two DM states are potentially distinguis…
We perform a comprehensive study of The Higgs potential of the two Higgs doublet model extended by a real triplet scalar field $Δ$. This model, dubbed $2\mathcal{HDM+T}$, has a rich Higgs spectrum consisting of three CP-even Higgs $h_{1,2,3}$, one CP-odd $A_0$ and two pairs of charged Higgs $H^\pm_{1,2}$. First, we determine the perturbative unitarity constraints and a set of non trivial conditions for the boundedness from below (BFB). Then we derive the Veltman conditions by considering the quadratic divergencies of Higgs boson self energies in $2\mathcal{HDM+T}$. We find that the parameter s…
We calculate an $s$-wave amplitude matrix for all the possible 2--to--2 body scalar boson elastic scatterings in models with three scalar doublets, including contributions from the longitudinal component of weak gauge bosons via the Equivalence Theorem Approximation. Specifically, we concentrate on the two cases with two[one] active plus one[two] inert doublet fields, referred to as I(1+2)HDM[I(2+1)HDM], under CP conservation. We obtain three analytically irreducible sub-matrices with the $3\times 3$ form and eighteen eigenvalues for the amplitude matrix as an independent set, where the same f…

Motivated by recent search results for the standard model (SM) Higgs boson at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), we revisit the Higgs phenomenology in the littlest Higgs model with T-parity (LHT). We present the signal strength modifier $μ$ respectively for the main search channels $qq' \rightarrow jjh\rightarrow jjγγ$, $qq'\rightarrow Vh\rightarrow Vγγ$, $qq'\rightarrow Vh \rightarrow Vbb$, $gg\rightarrow h \rightarrow γγ$, and $gg \rightarrow h \rightarrow VV$ in the LHT model. It is found that an enhancement factor of $1.09-1.56$ in $qq' \rightarrow jjh\rightarrow jjγγ$ channel can be obtaine…
To gain some sense about the likelihood of measuring the Higgs boson quartic coupling, we calculate the contribution to the triple Higgs production cross section from the subprocesses $q\bar{q}\to ZHHH$ and $q\bar{q}'\to WHHH$. Our results illustrate that determining this coupling, or even providing experimental evidence that it exists, will be very difficult.
We perform a combined analysis of two stringent constraints on two Higgs doublet model, coming from the recently announced CLEO II bound on $B(b \rightarrow s γ)$ and $Z \rightarrow b \overline b$ and from the recent LEP data on the ratio $Γ(Z\rightarrow b\overline b)\over{Γ(Z\rightarrow hadrons)}$. We include one-loop vertex corrections to $Z \rightarrow b \overline b$ in the model. We find that although the CLEO II bound serves as the strongest constraint present in the charged Higgs sector of the model, the current LEP value for $R_b$ may also provide a further constraint for $\tanβ<1$.
One of the possible modes suggested for detecting the Higgs particle is $pp\rightarrow ZZ\rightarrow\ell^+\ell^-ν\barν$, where the Higgs appears as a resonance on a Jacobian background. Unfortunately there are QCD background processes which mimic the final state and we are obliged to impose stringent kinematic cuts to remove them. However, in doing so we also remove a significant fraction of the signal. In this report we suggest a method, based on examining the distribution of the final state charged leptons, which could allow us to relax our cuts and thus salvage the signal.
We discuss off-shell contributions in Higgs decays to heavy gauge bosons $H\rightarrow VV^{(*)}$ with $V\in\lbrace Z,W\rbrace$ for a standard model (SM) Higgs boson for both dominant production processes $e^+e^-\rightarrow ZH\rightarrow ZVV^{(*)}$ and $e^+e^-\rightarrow ν\barνH\rightarrow ν\barνVV^{(*)}$ at a (linear) $e^+e^-$ collider. Dependent on the centre-of-mass energy off-shell effects are sizable and important for the understanding of the electroweak symmetry breaking mechanism. Moreover we shortly investigate the effects of the signal-background interference in $H\rightarrow γγ$ decay…
In the framework of the littlest Higgs model with T-parity(LHT), we investigate the double Higgs production processes $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrow ZHH$ and $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrow ν\barνHH$ at high energy $e^{+}e^{-}$ colliders. We calculate the production cross sections and find that the relative correction at the center-of-mass energy $\sqrt{s}=500$ GeV can maximally reach $-30%$ for the process $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrow ZHH$ and $-16%$ for the process $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrow ν\barνHH$ in the allowed parameter space, respectively. These large relative corrections can reach the detection range of the fu…
The latest LHC collaborations results on $σ_{H^{\pm}}BR(H^{\pm} \rightarrow τ^{\pm}ν)$ and $σ_{H^{\pm}}BR(H^{+} \rightarrow t\bar{b})$ are used to impose constraints on the charged Higgs $H^{\pm}$ parameters within the Two Higgs Doublet Model (2HDM). But it leaves $1.5 \leq tan β\leq 3$ window unexplored where the $BR(H^{\pm} \rightarrow W^{\pm}h)$ becomes sizable for $m_{H^{\pm}} > m_{t}$. In this manuscript $H^{\pm} \rightarrow W^{\pm}h$ is investigated with neutral Higgs boson decaying to a pair of b-quarks and the discovery prospects of charged Higgs boson is discussed. In particular, the …
Besides the loop contribution and the coupling changing, heavy Higgs decaying to 125GeV Higgs is another important effect in Higgs property measurement in the models that have extend Higgs sector. Such heavy Higgs decay effect contain more than one sources, such as $A\rightarrow Zh$, $H\rightarrow hh$, $A_2\rightarrow A_1h$, and $H_3\rightarrow H_1H_2$. Some of them will be promising in NMSSM Higgs sector searching. Higgs data fitting is performed with and without this heavy Higgs decay effect being included, and the final result demonstrate such effect is very important in Higgs data fitting …
In the framework of the Left-Right twin Higgs (LRTH) model, we consider the constrains from the latest search for high-mass dilepton resonances at the LHC and find that the heavy neutral boson $Z_H$ is excluded with mass below 2.76 TeV. Under these constrains, we study the Higgs-Gauge coupling production processes $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrow ZH$, $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrow ν_{e}\bar{ν_{e}}H$ and $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrow e^{+}e^{-}H$, top quark Yukawa coupling production process $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrow t\bar{t}H$, Higgs self-couplings production processes $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrow ZHH$ and $e^{+}e^{-}\rightar…
Recently, the ATLAS and CMS Collaborations reported the latest experimental upper limits on the branching ratios of the lepton flavor violating (LFV) 125 GeV Higgs boson decays, $h\rightarrow eμ$, $h\rightarrow eτ$, and $h\rightarrow μτ$. In this paper, we mainly investigate the LFV Higgs boson decays $h\rightarrow eμ$, $h\rightarrow eτ$, and $h\rightarrow μτ$ in the minimal supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model with local $\emph{B-L}$ gauge symmetry. At the same time, the corresponding constraints from the LFV rare decays $μ\rightarrow eγ$, $τ\rightarrow eγ$, $τ\rightarrow μγ$, and m…
We calculate the decay rate for inclusive $B \rightarrow τνX$ decays in a two Higgs doublet model using heavy quark expansion and operator product expansion. Combined with the recent measurement of Br($B \ra τνX$), we find a limit $\tan β< 0.58 m_H/\mbox{GeV}$ at 90\%\ C.L..
Adding a scalar singlet provides one of the simplest extensions of the Standard Model. In this work we briefly review the latest constraints on the mass and mixing of the new Higgs boson and study its production and decay at the LHC. We mainly focus on double Higgs production in the $hh \rightarrow b \bar{b} WW \rightarrow b \bar{b} \ell^+ ν\ell^- \barν$ decay channel. This decay is found to be efficient in a region of masses of the heavy Higgs boson of 260 - 500 GeV, so it is complementary to the 4$b$ channel, more efficient for Higgs bosons having masses greater than 500 GeV. We analyse this…
The most common search channel for heavy neutral Higgses in models with an extension of the Standard Model Higgs sector is $A/H^0\rightarrow ττ$, which becomes ineffective when new decay modes of $A/H^0$ open. In this paper, we analyzed two such channels involving charged Higgses in the final states: $A/H^0 \rightarrow W^\pm H^\mp$ and $H^0 \rightarrow H^+H^-$. With the consequent decay of $H^\pm\rightarrow τν$, we found that the limits for $σ\times{BR}(gg \rightarrow A/H^0 \rightarrow W^\pm H^\mp)\times {BR}(H^\pm \rightarrow τν)$ vary from 30 to 10 fb for $m_{A/H^0}$ between 300 and 1000 GeV…
We study the observability of non-standard top Yukawa couplings in the $pp\rightarrow t(\rightarrow \ell ν_\ell b ) h(\rightarrow γγ)j$ channel at 14 TeV high-luminosity LHC (HL-LHC). The small diphoton branching ratio is enhanced when the $\mathcal{CP}$-violating phase, $ξ$, of the top-Higgs interaction is non-zero. When the modulus of the top-Higgs interaction assumes the SM value, $y_t=y_t^{SM}$, we find that the signal significance reaches $2.7σ$ $( 7.7σ)$ when $ξ= 0.25π$ $(0.5π) $. Furthermore, the different couplings modify the polarisation of the top quark, and can subsequently be disti…
The spin of the $τ$ lepton in the semiletonic process ${\bar{B}}^0\rightarrow D^{+} τ^- {\barν}$ can be polarized in the direction which is normal to the reaction plane, if the charged Higgs boson exists and its coupling to quarks has a complex phase. We calculate this transverse polarization of the $τ$ lepton by using the experimentally measured $B$ to $D$ transition form factors.
We compute the contributions to rare top decays $t\rightarrow cZ$ and $t\rightarrow ch_1$ from the scalar sector in the 2HDM type III with CP violation, where $h_1$ is the Standard Model Higgs boson. The branching ratio for $BR(t\rightarrow c Z)$ and $BR(t\rightarrow c h_1)$ are obtained as a function of the model parameters. In particular, the $BR(t\rightarrow c Z)$ can increase its value up to $10^{-3}$ for $\tanβ= 1$ and masses for the additional Higgs bosons of $m_{h_2,h_3,H^\pm}\sim 0.5$ TeV. Meanwhile $BR(t\rightarrow c h_1)$ can reach values of the order of $\sim10^{-2}$. We constrain t…
We discuss the effects of mixing of scalars belonging to left-- and right--chiral MSSM super--multiplets on the process ${g}{g}\rightarrow \hnl \rightarrow \ga\ga$, which is a promising channel for the discovery of the lightest CP--even MSSM Higgs boson at the LHC and the SSC. The effects of the left--right scalar mixing are small in most of parameter space. However, there exist regions where the mixing is important. Due to mixing, there can be large enhancements of the cross section in a region of parameter space where the no--mixing approximation yields a value that is too low for experiment…
The observation that the $b \rightarrow sγ$ decay rate is close to the Standard Model value implies a large mass for the charged-Higgs boson in the Minimum Supersymmetric Standard Model, that nearly closes the $t \rightarrow b H^+$ decay channel. For $m_t = 150$ GeV, the parameter region $m_A \ltap 130$ GeV is excluded; this largely pre-empts LEP II searches and also partially excludes a region that would be inaccessible to MSSM Higgs boson searches both at LEP II and at SSC/LHC.
In LEP searches for the neutral CP-odd scalar $A^0$ of a multi-Higgs doublet model, experimenters have searched for $Z\rightarrow h^0 A^0$ (where $h^0$ is the lightest CP-even scalar). No model-independent limit on the $A^0$ mass can be deduced from present data if $m_{h^0}>m_Z$. In this paper, we compute the rates for $Z\rightarrow A^0 A^0ν\barν$ and $e^+e^-\rightarrow A^0 A^0 Z$. Assuming that no light CP-even neutral scalars exist, the branching ratio for $Z\rightarrow A^0 A^0ν\barν$ is found to be less than $1.4\times10^{-8}$. At higher $e^+e^-$ center-of-mass energies, $σ(e^+e^-\rightarro…
We study the constraint on the mass of the charged Higgs boson in the minimal supergravity model based on the recent measurement of the inclusive $b\rightarrow sγ$ decay. It is shown that the lower bound for the charged Higgs mass crucially depends on the sign of the higgsino mass parameter ($μ$). For $μ<0$, the bound exceeds 400 GeV when the ratio of two Higgs vacuum expectation values ($\tanβ$) is larger than 10. No strong bound is obtained for $μ>0$ due to cancellations between charged Higgs and supersymmetric particle contributions. For $3\lsim\tanβ\lsim5$, a charged Higgs lighter than 180…
In the most general two-Higgs doublet model with an approximate family symmetry and CP violation being originated solely from the relative phase of two vacuum expectation values, CP asymmetry in the decay $b\rightarrow sγ$ may arise from the CP violation of the charged Higgs boson interactions with fermions. This asymmetry may be larger than in the standard model and can lie between $10^{-2}$ and $10^{-1}$. The decay rate of $b\rightarrow sγ$ is allowed to be smaller or larger than in the standard model
In the framework of the flipped 3-3-1 model introduced recently [1], the lepton-flavor-violating (LFV) decay $μ\rightarrow 3e$ was predicted to have a large branching ratio (Br) close to the recent experimental limit. We will show that the Br of LFV decays of the standard-model-like (SM-like) Higgs boson decays (LFVHD) Br$(h\rightarrow e_ae_b)$ may also be large. Namely, the Br$(h\rightarrow μτ,eτ)$ can reach values of $\mathcal{O}(10^{-4})-\mathcal{O}(10^{-5})$, which will reach the upcoming experimental sensitivities. On the other hand, for LFV decays of charged leptons (cLFV) $(e_b\rightarr…
We study interference effects between resonant and nonresonant amplitudes for the $γγ\rightarrow W^+ W^-$ process at a backscattered photon-photon collider. We show that a Higgs boson with $M_H$ > 200 GeV is manifest as a resonant dip in the $W^+W^-$ invariant mass spectrum and we investigate its statistical significance.
Investigation of CP-even Higgs bosons decays $H \rightarrow μτ$ within constraints of $l_a \rightarrow l_b γ$ in a 3-3-1 model with inverse seesaw neutrinos
Inspired by the recent CMS $h \to μτ$ excess, we calculate the lepton flavor violating Higgs decay $h \to μτ$ in the littlest Higgs model with T-parity (LHT). Under the constraints of $\ell_i \to \ell_j γ$, $Z \to \ell_i \bar{\ell}_j$ and Higgs data, we find that the branching ratio of $h \to μτ$ can maximally reach $\mathcal O(10^{-4})$. We also investigate the correlation between $h \to μτ$, $τ\to μγ$ and $Z \to μτ$, which can be used to test LHT model at future $e^+e^-$ colliders.
The complete matrix element for $e^+e^-\ar b\bar bW^+W^-$ has been computed at tree--level and applied to $Z^0H^0$ production followed by $Z^0\ar b\bar b$ and $H^0\ar W^+W^-$, keeping into account all irreducible backgrounds, which are dominated by \ttb production, at the Next Linear Colliders. We find that, depending on the center of mass energies and on the search strategies, this channel can be useful for the study of the parameters of the Standard Model Higgs boson over the most part of the heavy mass range.
Consideration of the latest experimental data on the searches for extended sector of Higgs bosons produced at the LHC at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, allows for computer modeling of the properties of supersymmetric particles within 2HDM model. The experimental restrictions on model parameters accounted in FeynHiggs code that is implemented in SusHi program, gave us the possibility to calculate the cross sections and branching fractions for three mechanisms of production and decay of Higgs bosons: 1) pp$\rightarrow H\rightarrowττ$, 2) pp$\rightarrow A\rightarrow Zh\rightarrow llbb$, 3) pp…
In the framework of BLMSSM, the Higgs decays $h^0\rightarrow Zγ$ and $h^0\rightarrow m_VZ$ are studied where $m_V$ represents a vector meson($ρ, ω, ϕ, J/ψ, Υ$ etc.). Corrections to the CP-even and CP-odd $h^0γZ$ couplings occur via loop diagrams where new particles are involved. Actually both of them obviously influence the decay rates of $h^0\rightarrow Zγ$ and $h^0\rightarrow m_VZ$. Concretely, our obtained numerical result shows that the decay width of $h^0\rightarrow Zγ$ can be 1.3 times larger than the prediction of the Standard Model(SM). For the light mesons ($ρ,ω$), the corrections to …
The rare decay modes Higgs $\rightarrow$ four light fermions, and Higgs $\rightarrow$ single top-quark + three light fermions for $m_t<M_H<2m_t$, are presented, and phenomenologically interpreted. The angular correlation between fermion planes is presented as a test of the spin and intrinsic parity of the Higgs particle. In Higgs decay to single top, two tree-level graphs contribute in the standard model (SM); one couples the Higgs to $W^+W^-(\sim gM_W)$, and one to $t\bar t(\sim g_{top\;yukawa}=m_t/246\GeV)$. The large Yukawa coupling for $m_t>100\GeV$ makes the second amplitude competitive o…
We evaluate the feasibility of measuring the $Z$ polarization from a heavy Higgs signal in the decay channel $H\rightarrow ZZ \rightarrow \ell^+ \ell^-ν\barν$. Including gluon fusion production of the Higgs, continuum production of $Z$ pairs and the QCD background of single $Z$ production with a missing jet, we find that the average value of a new variable to measure the $Z$ polarization, as a function of transverse mass, will demonstrate the existence of a Higgs boson for heavy Higgs masses up to 800 GeV at the LHC with an integrated luminosity of 10$^5$ pb$^{-1}$.
As the U(1) extension of the minimal supersymmetric standard model, the $U(1)_X$SSM has new super fields such as right-handed neutrinos and three Higgs singlets. In the $U(1)_X$SSM, the lightest CP-even Higgs mass $m_{h^0}$ is researched through the Higgs effective potential with one loop corrections. We also calculate the Higgs decays $h^0\rightarrowγγ$, $h^0\rightarrow VV~(V=W,~Z)$, $h^0\rightarrow l\bar{l}Z$ and $h^0\rightarrow ν\barνZ$. The obtained results are reasonable, which are in favour of the study of the Higgs characteristic and the phenomenology of the $U(1)_X$SSM.
To solve the $μ$ problem and generate three tiny neutrino masses in the MSSM, the $μ$ from $ν$ Supersymmetric Standard Model ($μν$SSM) introduces three singlet right-handed neutrino superfields, which lead to the mixing of the Higgs doublets with the sneutrinos. The mixing affects the lightest Higgs boson mass and the Higgs couplings. The present observed 95\% CL upper limit on signal strength of the 125 GeV Higgs boson decay $h\rightarrow Zγ$ is 6.6, which still is plenty of space to prove the existence of new physics. In this work, we investigate the signal strength of the 125 GeV Higgs boso…
In the framework of the minimal $U(1)_{B-L}$ extension of the Standard Model, we investigate the Higgs boson production processes $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrow ZH$, $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrow ν_{e}\bar{ν_{e}}H$, $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrow t\bar{t}H$, $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrow ZHH$ and $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrow ν_{e}\bar{ν_{e}}HH$ at the International Linear Collider (ILC). We present the production cross sections, the relative corrections and compare our results with the expected experimental accuracies for Higgs decay channel $H\rightarrow b\bar{b}$. In the allowed parameter space, we find that the effects of the…
We analyse the $B \rightarrow τν$ decay in a generic two-Higgs doublet model satisfying the MFV hypothesis. In particular, we analyse under which conditions $\BR(B \rightarrow τν)$ can be substantially enhanced over its SM value, taking into account the constraints of $K \rightarrow μν$, $B \rightarrow X_s γ$, and $B_s \rightarrow μ^+ μ^-$. We find that for large $\tanβ$ values and Peccei-Quinn symmetry breaking terms of $\cO(1/\tanβ)$ a sizable ($\sim 50%$) enhancement of $\BR(B \rightarrow τν)$ is possible, even for $m_H \sim 1$ TeV.
Models beyond the Standard Model with extra scalars have been highly motivated by the recent discovery of a Higgs boson. The Two Higgs Doublet Model Type III considers the most general case for the scalar potential, allowing mixing between neutral CP-even and CP-odd scalar fields. This work presents the results of the study on the $t\rightarrow cγ$ decay at one loop level if neutral flavor changing is generated by top-charm-Higgs coupling given by the Yukawa matrix. For instance, a value for the branching ratio $Br(t\rightarrow cγ)\sim 10^{-6}$ for $\tanβ=2.5$ and general neutral Higgs mixing …
ATLAS and CMS have reported an excess in the flavor violating decay of the Higgs boson, $h \rightarrow μτ$. We show that this result can be accommodated through a mixing of the Higgs with a flavon, the field responsible for generating the Yukawa matrices in the lepton sector. We employ a version of the Froggatt-Nielsen mechanism at the electroweak scale, with only the leptons and the flavon transforming non--trivially under the corresponding symmetry group. Non--observation of charged lepton flavor violation (LFV) in other processes imposes important constraints on the model, which we find to …
We present a detailed analysis of the Higgs boson decays $h\rightarrow Z γ$ and $h\rightarrow m_V Z$ in the $U(1)_X$SSM, with $m_V$ denoting the meson ($ω,ρ,ϕ,J/ψ,Υ$). Using the effective Lagrangian method, we calculate the effective constants $C_{γZ}$ (CP-even) and $\tilde{C}_{γZ}$ (CP-odd) for the vertex $h γZ$, which are corrected by the new particle loop diagrams. Numerically, the ratio $Γ_{U(1)_X}(h\rightarrow Z γ)/Γ_{SM}(h\rightarrow Z γ)$ is between $1.02-1.35$. For the vector mesons $ω,ρ,ϕ$ and $J/ψ$, the ratios $Γ_{U(1)_X}(h\rightarrow m_V Z )/Γ_{SM}(h\rightarrow m_V Z)$ are mainly di…
We perform a combined analysis of two stringent constraints on the 2 Higgs doublet model, one coming from the recently announced CLEO II bound on $B(b \rightarrow s γ)$ and the other from the recent LEP data on $ε_b$. We have included one-loop vertex corrections to $Z \rightarrow b \overline b$ through $ε_b$ in the model. We find that the new $ε_b$ constraint excludes most of the less appealing window $\tanβ\lsim 1$ at $90\%$C.~L. for $m_t=150\GeV$. We also find that although $b \rightarrow s γ$ constraint is stronger for $\tanβ>1$, $ε_b$ constraint is stronger for $\tanβ\lsim 1$, and therefor…
Motivated by an anomaly in $R(D^{(*)})={\rm BR}(\bar{B}\rightarrow D^{(*)} τ^-\barν)/{\rm BR}(\bar{B}\rightarrow D^{(*)} l^-\barν)$ reported by BaBar, Belle and LHCb, we study $R(D^{(*)})$ in a general two Higgs doublet model (2HDM). Although it has been suggested that it is difficult for the 2HDM to explain the current world average for $R(D^{(*)})$, it would be important to clarify how large deviations from the standard model predictions for $R(D^{(*)})$ are possible in the 2HDM. We investigate possible corrections to $R(D^{(*)})$ in the 2HDM by taking into account various flavor physics con…
In the littlest Higgs model with T-parity, we study associated production of a Higgs and a single top quark at the 14 TeV LHC. We focus on the Higgs to two photons decay and the semileptonic top decay channel. By performing a fast detector simulation, we find that the $thj$ search in the selected channel can excluded the top partner mass $m_{T_{+}}$ up to 805 (857) GeV for case A (case B) at $2σ$ confidence level at 14 TeV LHC with the integrated luminosity $L= 3 \rm ab^{-1}$.
The identification of the intermediate-mass Higgs process $γγ\rightarrow H \rightarrow b\overline{b}$ will be one of the most important goals of a future photon linear collider. Backgrounds from the continuum $γγ\rightarrow c\overline{c}, b\overline{b}$ leading-order processes can be suppressed by using polarized photon beams in the $J_z = 0$ initial-state. The radiative processes $γγ\rightarrow c\overline{c} g, b\overline{b} g$ can mimic the two-jet topology of the Higgs signal and provide the dominant background in the $J_z = 0$ channel. Particularly problematic is the $γγ\rightarrow c\overl…
In this paper we shall focus on the effects of concrete models such as SM and Model III of 2HDM on the polarized and unpolarized forward-backward asymmetries of $\overline{B}\rightarrow \overline{K}_0^{*}(1430) \ell^+\ell^-$ and $\overline{B}\rightarrow \overline{K} \ell^+\ell^-$ decays. The obtained results of these decay modes are compared to each other. Also, we obtain the minimum required number of events for detecting each asymmetry and compare them with the number of produced $B\bar{B}$ pairs at the LHC or supposed to be produced at the Super-LHC. At the end, we conclude that the study o…
Latest CMS results on the upper limits on $σ_{H^\pm}$BR($H^\pm \rightarrow τ^\pmν)$ and $σ_{H^\pm}$BR($H^+ \rightarrow t\bar{b}$) for $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV at an integrated luminosity of 35.9 fb$^{-1}$ are used to impose constraints on the charged Higgs $H^\pm$ parameters within the Two Higgs Doublet Model (2HDM). The 2HDM is the simplest extension of Standard Model (SM) under the same gauge symmetry to contain charged Higgs and is relatively less constrained compared to Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). The latest results lead to much more stringent constraints on charged Higgs parame…
A new particle of mass around 125 GeV is known to have loop induced couplings to $gg$ and $γγ$. More specific to the Higgs interpretation are tree level couplings to $W$ and $Z$. A small but clean signal of the Higgs coupling to $W$ arises from associated production of a Higgs, with $H\rightarrowγγ$. We consider this signal in light of a large NLO enhancement of the irreducible background.
Models of electroweak symmetry breaking with extended Higgs sectors are theoretically well motivated. In this study, we focus on the Two Higgs Doublet Model with a low energy spectrum containing scalars $H$ and a pseudoscalar $A$. We study the decays $A\rightarrow HZ$ or $H\rightarrow AZ$, which could reach sizable branching fractions in certain parameter regions. With detailed collider analysis, we obtain model independent exclusion bounds as well as discovery reach at the 14 TeV LHC for the process: $gg\rightarrow A/H\rightarrow HZ/AZ$, looking at final states bbll, ττll and ZZZ(4l2j) for l …
In this work, we introduce an extra singlet pseudoscalar into the Type-III two Higgs doublet model (2HDM) which is supposed to solve a series of problems in the modern particle-cosmology. With existence of a light pseudoscalar, the $h\rightarrowμτ$ excess measured at CMS and as well as the $(g-2)_μ$ anomaly could be simultaneously explained within certain parameter spaces that can also tolerate the data on the flavor-violating processes $τ\rightarrowμγ$ and Higgs decay gained at LHC. Within the same parameter spaces, the DM relic abundance is well accounted. Moreover, the recently observed Gal…
Lepton flavor violating Higgs decays can arise in flavor symmetry models where the Higgs sector is responsible for both the electroweak and the flavor symmetry breaking. Here we advocate an $S_4$ three-Higgs-doublet model where tightly constrained flavor changing neutral currents are suppressed by a remnant $Z_3$ symmetry. A small breaking of this $Z_3$ symmetry can explain the $2.4\,σ$ excess of Higgs decay final states with a $μτ$ topology reported recently by CMS if the new neutral scalars are light. The model also predicts sizable rates for lepton flavor violating Higgs decays in the $eτ$ …
In this paper, we study the single top production in association with a Higgs boson in the $U(1)_{B-L}$ extension of the Standard Model at the LHC. We calculate the production cross sections of the processes $pp\rightarrow thX(h=H_{1},H_{2};X=j,b,W)$ in this model. Then we further study the observability of the process $pp\rightarrow tH_{2}j$ through $pp\rightarrow t(\rightarrow q\bar{q'} b)H_{2}(\rightarrow 4\ell)j$. We find that the systematic significance can be improved obviously, but it is still challenging for the 14 TeV LHC with high-luminosity to detect this signal.
