We analyze the possibility of the existence of a fully exotic pentaquark state $udsc\bar{b}$, which is made from the five different flavors participarting in the strong interactions. We investigate the coupled channel effects of the $B^{(*)} Ξ_c-B^{(*)} Ξ_c^\prime$ system through $t$-channel vector meson exchange to search for such states. A $B Ξ_c$ and a $B Ξ_c^\prime$ bound state are found to have binding energies of about $10-30$~MeV with $B_sΛ_c$ and $B_cΛ$ being the possible decay channels. Similarly, a bound state is formed in the $B^* Ξ_c$ and $B^* Ξ_c^\prime$ channels, respectively. These states could be searched for through the $pp\to B_cΛX$ or $pp\to B_s^{(*)}Λ_c X$ processes by the LHCb collaboration.
The discovery of three pentaquark peaks -- the $P_c(4312)$, $P_c(4440)$ and $P_c(4457)$ -- by the LHCb collaboration has a series of interesting consequences for hadron spectroscopy. If these hidden-charm objects are indeed hadronic molecules, as suspected, they will be constrained by heavy-flavor and SU(3)-flavor symmetries. The combination of these two symmetries will imply the existence of a series of five-flavor pentaquarks with quark content $\bar{b} c s d u$ and $b \bar{c} s d u$, that is, pentaquarks that contain each of the five quark flavors that hadronize. In addition, from SU(3)-fla…
Developing the calculation techniques to fivefold heavy hadrons, we perform the study of novel fully-heavy $QQQQ\bar{Q}$ pentaquark states by the QCD sum rule approach that is firmly based on the QCD basic theory. Numerically, masses of fully-heavy pentaquark states are calculated to be $7.41^{+0.27}_{-0.31}~\mbox{GeV}$ for $cccc\bar{c}$ and $21.60^{+0.73}_{-0.22}~\mbox{GeV}$ for $bbbb\bar{b}$, respectively. In experiment, these predicted all-heavy pentaquark states could be searched for in the $Ω_{QQQ}η_{Q}$ invariant mass spectrum.
The LHCb Collaboration has recently reported strong evidences of the existence of pentaquark states in the hidden-charm baryon sector, the so-called $P_c(4380)^+$ and $P_c(4450)^+$ signals. Five-quark bound states in the hidden-charm sector were explored by us using, for the quark-quark interaction, a chiral quark model which successfully explains meson and baryon phenomenology, from the light to the heavy quark sector. We extend herein such study but to the hidden-bottom pentaquark sector, analyzing possible bound-states with spin-parity quantum numbers $J^P=\frac12^\pm$, $\frac32^\pm$ and $\…
We study the five-quark system composed of $qqs\bar{Q}Q$ configuration ($q = u$ or $d$, $Q=b$ or $c$), in the framework of the chiral quark model. In consequence, a series of bound states with heavy flavors are predicted by precise five-body dynamical calculations. We found that taking color-octet structure into consideration always provides more bounding energy than color-singlet structure, and the more heavier quark prevents, the easier to form the bound states. We suggest $qqs\bar{b}b$ configuration is a compact $\bar{b}b$-pair surrounded by three other quarks, while $qqs\bar{b}c$, $qqs\bar…
The fully-charm and -bottom pentaquarks, \emph{i.e.} $cccc\bar{c}$ and $bbbb\bar{b}$, with spin-parity quantum numbers $J^P=\frac{1}{2}^-$, $\frac{3}{2}^-$ and $\frac{5}{2}^-$, are investigated within a Lattice-QCD inspired quark model, which has already successfully described the recently announced fully-charm tetraquark candidate $X(6900)$, and has also predicted several other fully-heavy tetraquarks. A powerful computational technique, based on the Gaussian expansion method combined with a complex-scaling range approach, is employed to predict, and distinguish, bound, resonance and scatteri…
In the paper, we construct eight color singlet-singlet type five-quark currents with distinguished isospins to study the $\bar{D}Ξ^{\prime}$, $\bar{D}Ξ_c^{*}$, $\bar{D}^{*}Ξ_c^{\prime}$ and $\bar{D}^{*}Ξ_c^{*}$ molecular states with strangeness via the QCD sum rules. Numerical results show that the central values of the pentaquark masses with higher (lower) isospin are slightly above (below) the thresholds of the corresponding meson-baryon pairs, and support assigning the $P_{cs}(4459)$ as the $\bar{D}Ξ_c^{*}$ molecular state with the quantum numbers $IJ^P=0{\frac{3}{2}}^-$. The other predicti…
We study the $S$-wave $DΞ$ bound state in the Bethe-Salpeter formalism in the ladder and instantaneous approximations. With the kernel generated by the hadronic effective Lagrangian, two open-charmed bound states, which quantum numbers are $I=0$, $J^P=(\frac{1}{2})^-$ and $I=1$, $J^P=(\frac{1}{2})^-$, respectively, are predicted as new candidates of hadronic pentaquark molecules in our formalism. If existing, they could contribute to the broad 3188 eV structure near the five new narrow $Ω_c$ states observed recently by the LHCb Collaboration.
We study baryo-charmonium [$η_{\rm c}$- and $J/ψ$-$N^*$, $η_{\rm c}(2S)$-, $ψ(2S)$- and $χ_{\rm c}(1P)$-$N$] and baryo-bottomonium [$η_{\rm b}(2S)$-, $Υ(2S)$- and $χ_{\rm b}(1P)$-$N$] bound states, where $N$ is the nucleon and $N^*$ a nucleon resonance. In the baryo-quarkonium model, the five $qqq Q \bar Q$ quarks are arranged in terms of a heavy quarkonium core, $Q \bar Q$, embedded in light baryonic matter, $qqq$, with $q = u$ or $d$. The interaction between the $Q \bar Q$ core and the light baryon can be written in terms of the QCD multipole expansion. The spectrum of baryo-charmonium state…

We discuss possible interpretation of five excited $Ω^0_c$ states within the Chrial Quark Soliton Model. We show that it is not possible to interpret all five $Ω^0_c$'s as parity minus excitations and argue that two narrowest states are pentaquarks belonging to the SU(3) representation $\overline{15}$.
We use the chiral quark-soliton model to interpret five excited $Ω_c$ states recently reported by the LHCb collaboration and confirmed by Belle. We briefly recapitulate the model and its application to light baryons. We then show how the model can be extended to the case of baryons with one heavy quark. We test the model against ground state heavy baryons and then examine possible excitations. We argue that it is not possible to accommodate all five $Ω_c$'s within five parity minus excitations predicetd by the model and propose to interpret two narrowest states split by 70 MeV as pentaquarks b…
Triggered by a recent announcement by the LHCb Collaboration of five excited $Ω^0_c$ resonances of small widths we propose an interpretation based on the Chiral Quark Soliton Model. We argue that three of the LHCb resonances are parity ($-$) excitations of the ground state SU(3) sextets, while the other two with the smallest widths are exotic pentaquarks that belong to the SU(3) $\overline{\mathbf{15}}$. We first briefly review the model and discuss the status of the putative $Θ^+(1540)$. Next we show how to generalize the model to the case of heavy baryons. We test this approach against the g…
We have studied the meson-baryon $S-$wave interaction, using coupled channels, in the isoscalar hidden-charm strange sector and $J^P = 1/2^-,3/2^-$ and $5/2^-$. We impose constraints of heavy quark spin symmetry in the interaction and obtain the non vanishing matrix elements from an extension of the local hidden gauge approach to the charm sector. The ultraviolet divergences are renormalized using the same meson-baryon-loops regulator previously employed in the non-strange hidden charm sector, where a good reproduction of the properties of the newly discovered pentaquark states is obtained. We…
