We give an explicit solution to the problem of differentiation of hyperelliptic functions in genus 4 case. We describe explicitly the polynomial Lie algebras and polynomial dynamical systems connected to this problem.
In this work we give an explicit solution to the problem of differentiation of hyperelliptic functions in genus $4$ case. It is a genus $4$ analogue of the classical result of F. G. Frobenius and L. Stickelberger [F. G. Frobenius, L. Stickelberger, "Uber die Differentiation der elliptischen Functionen nach den Perioden und Invarianten", J. Reine Angew. Math., 92 (1882), 311-337] in the case of elliptic functions. An explicit solution in the genus $2$ case was given in [V. M. Buchstaber, "Polynomial dynamical systems and Korteweg-de Vries equation", Proc. Steklov Inst. Math., 294 (2016), 176-20…
Explicit hyperelliptic solutions of the modified Korteweg-de Vries equations without any ambiguous parameters were constructed in terms only of the hyperelliptic $\al$-functions over non-degenerated hyperelliptic curve $y^2 = f(x)$ of arbitrary genus $g$. In the derivation, any $θ$-functions or Baker-Akhiezer functions were not essentially used. Then the Miura transformation naturally appears as the connections between the hyperelliptic $\wp$-functions and hyperelliptic $\al$-functions.
Buchstaber and Mikhailov introduced the polynomial dynamical systems in $\mathbb{C}^4$ with two polynomial integrals on the basis of commuting vector fields on the symmetric square of hyperelliptic curves. In our previous paper, we constructed the field of meromorphic functions on the sigma divisor of hyperelliptic curves of genus 3 and solutions of the systems for $g=3$ by these functions. In this paper, as an application of our previous results, we construct two parametric deformation of the KdV-hierarchy. This new system is integrated in the meromorphic functions on the sigma divisor of hyp…
The field of meromorphic functions on a sigma divisor of a hyperelliptic curve of genus $3$ is described in terms of the gradient of it's sigma function. Solutions of corresponding families of polynomial dynamical systems in $\mathbb{C}^4$ with two polynomial integrals are constructed as an application. These systems were introduced in the work of V. M. Buchstaber and A. V. Mikhailov on the basis of commuting vector fields on the symmetric square of algebraic curves.
A recursion relation of hyperelliptic psi functions of genus two, which was derived by D.G. Cantor (J. reine angew. Math. 447 (1994) 91-145), is studied. As Cantor's approach is algebraic, another derivation is presented as a natural extension of the analytic derivation of the recursion relation of the elliptic psi function.
Equations of dispersionless Hirota type have been thoroughly investigated in the mathematical physics and differential geometry literature. It is known that the parameter space of integrable Hirota type equations in 3D is 21-dimensional and the action of the natural equivalence group Sp(6, R) on the parameter space has an open orbit. However the structure of the `master-equation' corresponding to this orbit remained elusive. Here we prove that the master-equation is specified by the vanishing of any genus 3 theta constant with even characteristic. The rich geometry of integrable Hirota type eq…
In the previous study, by using the two-flows Kowalevski top, we have demonstrated that the genus two hyperelliptic functions provide the Sp(4,$\mathbb{R}$)/$Z_2$ $\cong$ SO(3,2) Lie algebra structure. In this study, by directly using the differential equations of the genus two hyperelliptic $\wp$ functions instead of using integrable models, we demonstrate that the half-period addition formula for the genus two hyperelliptic functions provides the order two Sp(4,$\mathbb{R}$) Lie group structure.
In order to find higher dimensional integrable models, we study differential equations of hyperelliptic $\wp$ functions up to genus four. For genus two, differential equations of hyperelliptic $\wp$ functions can be written in the Hirota form. If the genus is more than one, we have KdV equation. If the genus is more than two, we have KdV and another KdV equations. If the genus becomes more than three, there appear differential equations which cannot be written in the Hirota form, which means that the Hirota form is not enough to characterize the integrable differential equations. We have shown…
In the previous work (J. Geom. Phys. {\bf{39}} (2001) 50-61), the closed loop solitons in a plane, \it i.e., loops whose curvatures obey the modified Korteweg-de Vries equations, were investigated for the case related to algebraic curves with genera one and two. This article is a generalization of the previous article to those of hyperelliptic curves with general genera. It was proved that the tangential angle of loop soliton is expressed by the Weierstrass hyperelliptic al function for a given hyperelliptic curve $y^2 = f(x)$ with genus $g$.
This is the second in a series of papers on the numerical treatment of hyperelliptic theta-functions with spectral methods. A code for the numerical evaluation of solutions to the Ernst equation on hyperelliptic surfaces of genus 2 is extended to arbitrary genus and general position of the branch points. The use of spectral approximations allows for an efficient calculation of all characteristic quantities of the Riemann surface with high precision even in almost degenerate situations as in the solitonic limit where the branch points coincide pairwise. As an example we consider hyperelliptic s…
We construct the explicit solution of the initial value problem for sequences generated by the general Somos-6 recurrence relation, in terms of the Kleinian sigma-function of genus two. For each sequence there is an associated genus two curve $X$, such that iteration of the recurrence corresponds to translation by a fixed vector in the Jacobian of $X$. The construction is based on a Lax pair with a spectral curve $S$ of genus four admitting an involution $σ$ with two fixed points, and the Jacobian of $X$ arises as the Prym variety Prym$(S,σ)$.
The sine-Gordon equation has hyperelliptic al function solutions over a hyperelliptic Jacobian for $y^2 = f(x)$ of arbitrary genus $g$. This article gives an extension of the sine-Gordon equation to that over subvarieties of the hyperelliptic Jacobian. We also obtain the condition that the sine-Gordon equation in a proper subvariety of the Jacobian is defined.
