On some aspects of spectral theory for infinite bounded non-negative matrices in max algebra

Several spectral radii formulas for infinite bounded nonnegative matrices in max algebra are obtained. We also prove some Perron-Frobenius type results for such matrices. In particular, we obtain results on block triangular forms, which are similar to results on Frobenius normal form of $n \times n$ matrices. Some continuity results are also established.

A Family of Maximal Algebras of Block Toeplitz matrices

Calculating max-eigenvalues and max-eigenvectors with jumps of matrices

The eigenvalue problem for an irreducible non negative matrix $A=[a_{ij}]$ in the max-algebra is the form $A \otimes x = λx$ where $(A \otimes x)_i = \max (a_{ij}x_j), x=(x_1,x_2, \dots, x_n)^t $ and $λ$ refers to maximum cycle geometric mean $μ(A) $. In this paper we exhibit a method to compute $μ(A)$ and max-eigenvector by using mutation of matrices. Since the order of power method algorithm is $O(n^3)$, the advantage of this paper present a faster procedure.

Algebras of block Toeplitz matrices with commuting entries

The maximal algebras of scalar Toeplitz matrices are known to be formed by generalized circulants. The identification of algebras consisting of block Toeplitz matrices is a harder problem, that has received little attention up to now. We consider the case when the block entries of the matrices belong to a commutative algebra $ \mathcal{A} $. After obtaining some general results, we classify all the maximal algebras for certain particular cases of $ \mathcal{A}$.

Adjoints and Formal Adjoints of Matrices of Unbounded Operators

In this paper we {\em discuss} diverse aspects of mutual relationship between adjoints and formal adjoints of unbounded operators bearing a matrix structure. We emphasize on the behaviour of row and column operators as they turn out to be the germs of an arbitrary matrix operator, providing most of the information about the latter {as it is the troublemaker}.

Inequalities for operator space numerical radius of $2\times 2$ block matrices

A mini-max problem for self-adjoint Toeplitz matrices

We study a minimum problem and associated maximum problem for finite, complex, self-adjoint Toeplitz matrices. If $A$ is such a matrix, of size $(N+1)$-by-$(N+1)$, we identify $A$ with the operator it represents on $P_N$, the space of complex polynomials of degrees at most $N$, with the usual Hilbert space structure it inherits as a subspace of $L^2$ of the unit circle.
