We consider the model of hard dimers coupled to two-dimensional Causal Dynamical Triangulations (CDT) with all dimer types present and solve it exactly subject to a single restriction. Depending on the dimer weights there are, in addition to the usual gravity phase of CDT, two tri-critical and two dense dimer phases. We establish the properties of these phases, computing their cylinder and disk amplitudes, and their scaling limits.

A restricted dimer model on a 2-dimensional random causal triangulation

We introduce a restricted hard dimer model on a random causal triangulation that is exactly solvable and generalizes a model recently proposed by Atkin and Zohren. We show that the latter model exhibits unusual behaviour at its multicritical point; in particular, its Hausdorff dimension equals 3 and not 3/2 as would be expected from general scaling arguments. When viewed as a special case of the generalized model introduced here we show that this behaviour is not generic and therefore is not likely to represent the true behaviour of the full dimer model on a random causal triangulation.

CDT coupled to dimer matter: An analytical approach via tree bijections

We review a recently obtained analytical solution of a restricted so-called hard dimers model coupled to two-dimensional CDT. The combinatorial solution is obtained via bijections of causal triangulations with dimers and decorated trees. We show that the scaling limit of this model can also be obtained from a multi-critical point of the transfer matrix for dynamical triangulations of triangles and squares when one disallows for spatial topology changes to occur.

An Analytical Analysis of CDT Coupled to Dimer-like Matter

Coupling of hard dimers to dynamical lattices via random tensors

We study hard dimers on dynamical lattices in arbitrary dimensions using a random tensor model. The set of lattices corresponds to triangulations of the d-sphere and is selected by the large N limit. For small enough dimer activities, the critical behavior of the continuum limit is the one of pure random lattices. Hypergeometric Systems in two Variables, Quivers, Dimers and Dessins d'Enfants

This paper presents some parallel developments in Quiver/Dimer Models, Hypergeometric Systems and Dessins d'Enfants. The setting in which Gelfand, Kapranov and Zelevinsky have formulated the theory of hypergeometric systems, provides also a natural setting for dimer models. Non-Compact Geometries in 2D Euclidean Quantum Gravity

This thesis discusses the worldsheet geometries in the (p,q) minimal model coupled to 2D euclidean Quantum Gravity with particular focus on non-compact geometries. Trees and spatial topology change in CDT

Generalized causal dynamical triangulations (generalized CDT) is a model of two-dimensional quantum gravity in which a limited number of spatial topology changes is allowed to occur. We solve the model at the discretized level using bijections between quadrangulations and trees. We present a systematic method to calculate the universal scaling functions for the critical Casimir force and the according potential of the two-dimensional Ising model with various boundary conditions.
