In this paper we study the scattering amplitudes of $D^{0}D^{0}π^+$-$D^{*+}D^{0}$ coupled channels based on $K$-matrix within the Chew-Mandelstam formalism. The $D^{0}D^{0}π^{+}$ invariant mass spectrum of LHCb is fitted and the pole parameters of the $T_{cc}^+$ are extracted. The analysis of pole behavior suggests that the $T_{cc}^+$ may originate from a $D^{*+}D^{0}$ virtual state and is formed as a result of an interplay between an attractive interaction between $D^0$ and $D^{*+}$ and coupling to $D^{0}D^0π^+$ channel.
Doubly charmed mesons are studied within a quark model framework. We solve the four-quark Schordinger equation by means of a variational approach by using different interacting potentials. Our results point to the existence of a stable isoscalar doubly charmed four-quark meson with quantum numbers $J^P=1^+$.
We investigate the production cross sections, momentum distributions and rapidity distributions for doubly charmed baryons which according to the intrinsic heavy quark mechanism are produced nearly at rest. These events should be measurable at fixed-target experiments like STAR@RHIC and AFTER@LHC.
We evaluate exclusive semileptonic decays of ground-state spin-1/2 doubly heavy charmed baryons driven by a $c\to s,d$ transition at the quark level. Our results for the form factors are consistent with heavy quark spin symmetry constraints which are valid in the limit of an infinitely massive charm quark and near zero recoil. Only a few exclusive semileptonic decay channels have been theoretically analyzed before. For those cases we find that our results are in a reasonable agreement with previous calculations.
We speculate on a possible interpretation of events selected by the SELEX collaboration and stress an insufficient evidence for the observation of doubly charmed baryon.
We investigate the electromagnetic contribution to the charge symmetry breaking in the $Ξ_{cc}$ baryon masses using a subtracted dispersion relation based on the Cottingham formula, following the formalism developed in an analysis of the octet baryon mass differences. In the absence of experimental information on the structure of charmed baryons, we use parameters for the electromagnetic structure of the $Ξ_{cc}$ and the difference in its charge states obtained from lattice QCD and estimates of SU(4) symmetry breaking. We report a conservative estimate for the mass splitting of the doubly char…
We evaluate exclusive semileptonic decays of ground-state spin-1/2 doubly heavy charmed baryons. The decays are driven by a $c\to s,d$ transition at the quark level. Our form factors are consistent with Heavy Quark Symmetry constraints. The latter are valid in the limit of infinitely heavy quark mass at zero recoil.
We present a systematic investigation of the possible molecular states composed of a pair of doubly charmed baryons ($Ξ_{cc}Ξ_{cc}$) or one doubly charmed baryon and one doubly charmed antibaryon $(Ξ_{cc}\barΞ_{cc})$ within the framework of the one-boson-exchange-potential model. For the spin-triplet systems, we take into account the mixing between the ${}^3S_1$ and ${}^3D_1$ channels. For the baryon-baryon system $Ξ_{cc}Ξ_{cc}$ with $(R,I) = (\bar{3}, 1/2)$ and $(\bar{3}, 0)$, where $R$ and $I$ represent the group representation and the isospin of the system, respectively, there exist loosely…
The analysis of singly charmed hadrons has been extended to the case of doubly charmed baryons, $Ξ_{cc}^{++}$, $Ξ_{cc}^{+}$ and $Ω_{cc}^{+}$. Doubly charmed baryons are described as a system containing a heavy $cc$-diquark and a light quark, similarly as in a heavy-light meson. This leads to preasymptotic effects in semileptonic and nonleptonic decays which are essentially proportional to the meson wave function. Interplay between preasymptotic effects in semileptonic and/or nonleptonic decay rates leads to very clear predictions for semileptonic branching ratios and lifetimes of doubly charme…
We study the mass spectrum of baryons with two and three charmed quarks. For double charm baryons the spin splitting is found to be smaller than standard quark-model potential predictions. This splitting is not influenced either by the particular form of the confining potential or by the regularization taken for the contact term of the spin-spin potential. We consistently predict the spectra for triply charmed baryons.
Structure and production of doubly charmed tetraquarks T_cc (cc ubar dbar) are studied from the viewpoint of color configurations. Based on the diquark correlation, the tetraquark T_cc with I(JP)=0(1+) is considered to be stable against strong decay. We discuss that the mixing probability of color antitriplet and sextet cc components in T_cc is suppressed by 1/m_c^2, so the two configurations are separately realized in the heavy quark limit. Utilizing the nonrelativistic QCD framework, we evaluate the production cross sections of T_cc in electron-positron collisions. The momentum dependence of…
We have systematically investigated the magnetic moments of spin-$\frac{1}{2}$ doubly charmed baryons in the framework of the heavy baryon chiral perturbation theory. In this paper, one loop corrections with intermediate spin-$\frac{1}{2}$ and spin-$\frac{3}{2}$ doubly charmed baryon states are considered. The numerical results are calculated to next-to-leading order: $μ_{Ξ^{++}_{cc}}=0.35μ_{N}$, $μ_{Ξ^{+}_{cc}}=0.62μ_{N}$, $μ_{Ω^{+}_{cc}}=0.41μ_{N}$. Our results may be useful for future experiment and chiral extrapolation of the lattice QCD.
We extend the analysis of weak decays of heavy hadrons to the case of doubly charmed baryons, Ξ_{cc}^{++}, Ξ_{cc}^{+} and Ω_{cc}^{+}. Doubly charmed baryons are modeled as a heavy-light system containing a heavy cc-diquark and a light quark. Such a model leads to preasymptotic effects in semileptonic and nonleptonic decays which are essentially proportional to the meson wave function. Very clear predictions for semileptonic branching ratios and lifetimes of doubly charmed baryons are obtained.
We systematically investigate the possible molecular states composed of (1) two spin-$\frac{3}{2}$ doubly charmed baryons, and (2) a pair of spin-$\frac{3}{2}$ and spin-$\frac{1}{2}$ doubly charmed baryons. The one-boson-exchange (OBE) model is used to describe the potential between two baryons. The channel mixing effect is considered for the systems with the same quantum number $(I(J^P))$ but different total spin ($S$) and orbital angular momenta ($L$). We also study the channel mixing effect among the systems composed of various doubly charmed baryons if they have the same quantum number. Ma…
The high production rate and $\langle x_{F} \rangle > 0.33$ of the doubly charmed baryons measured by the SELEX experiment is not amenable to perturbative QCD analysis. In this paper we calculate the production of the doubly heavy baryons with the double intrinsic charm Fock states whose existence is rigorously predicted by QCD. The production rate and the longitudinal momentum distribution are both reproduced. We also show that the production rates of the doubly charmed baryons and double $J/ψ$ production observed by NA3 collaboration are comparable. Recent experimental results are reviewed. …
We propose to use the hadronic shape variables to test the assumption of ``local duality'' in the doubly-charmed B decays, $B\rightarrow X_{c\bar c s}$. We compute these shape variables at leading order in parton model, and discuss how they can be compared with the experimental values.
We study hadronic molecular states in a coupled system of $J/ψN - Λ_c\bar{D}^{(*)} - Σ_c^{(*)}\bar{D}^{(*)}$ in $I(J^P) = \frac{1}{2}(\frac{3}{2}^-)$ channel, using the complex scaling method combined with the Gaussian expansion method. We construct the potential including one pion exchange and one $D^{(*)}$ meson exchange with $S$-wave orbital angular momentum. We find that the both mass and width of the pentaquark $P_c(4380)$ can be reproduced within a reasonable parameter region, and that its main decay mode is $Λ_c\bar{D}^*$. We extend our analysis to a coupled system of $Λ_c D^{(*)} - Σ_c…
In this article, we construct the axialvector-diquark-axialvector-antidiquark type currents to interpolate the scalar, axialvector, vector, tensor doubly charmed tetraquark states, and study them with QCD sum rules systematically by carrying out the operator product expansion up to the vacuum condensates of dimension 10 in a consistent way, the predicted masses can be confronted to the experimental data in the future. We can search for those doubly charmed tetraquark states in the Okubo-Zweig-Iizuka super-allowed strong decays to the charmed meson pairs.
Inspired by the observation of the doubly charmed tetraquark state $T_{cc}^+$ at the LHCb Collaboration, we systematically study the $S$-wave interactions between a pair of charmed mesons ($D_{1},\,D_{2}^{\ast}$) in the $T$-doublet, where we adopt the one-boson-exchange model and consider both the $S$-$D$ wave mixing and coupled channel effects. Our numerical results suggest that the prime doubly charmed molecular tetraquark candidates are the $S$-wave $D_1D_1$ state with $I(J^P)=0(1^+)$, the $S$-wave $D_1{D}_2^{\ast}$ states with $I(J^P)=0(1^+,\,2^+,\,3^+)$, and the $S$-wave ${D}_2^{\ast}{D}_…
We study the spectra of the doubly charmed tetraquark states in a diquark-antidiquark model. The doubly charmed tetraquark states form an antitriplet and a sextet configurations according to flavor SU(3) symmetry. For the tetraquark state $[qq'][\bar c\bar c]$, we show the mass for both bound and excited states. The two-body decays of tetraquark states $T^{cc}[0^+]$ and $T^{cc}[1^{--}]$ to charmed mesons have also been studied. In the end,the doubly charmed tetraquarks decays to a charmed baryon and a light baryon have been studied in the SU(3) flavor symmetry.
The LHCb experiment at CERN has discovered a doubly charmed isoscalar tetraquark $T_{cc}$ with the quantum numbers of $c c \bar u \bar d$ and mass of about 3875 MeV/$c^2$, decaying to $D^0 D^0 π^+$ through the intermediate channel $D^{*+} D^0$. We present a study of its strange companions with the quantum numbers of $c c \bar q \bar s$, where $q = u, d$ and isospin violation is neglected.
In the framework of quark-hadron duality, the cross section values of charmonium and doubly charmed baryon production in $e^+e^-$-annihilations have been estimated at interaction energy $\sqrt{s}=10.6$ GeV. It has been shown that the approach under discussion allows to resolve some contradictions between the experimental data and pQCD predictions.
We present the energy spectra of the low lying doubly-charmed baryons using lattice quantum chromodynamics. We precisely predict the ground state mass of the charmed-strange Omega(cc) (1/2+) baryon to be 3712(11)(12) MeV which could well be the next doubly-charmed baryon to be discovered at the LHCb experiment at CERN. We also predict masses of other doubly-charmed strange baryons with quantum numbers 3/2+, 1/2-, and 3/2-.
The chiral effective meson-baryon Lagrangian for the description of interactions between the doubly charmed baryons and Goldstone bosons is constructed up to the order of $q^{4}$. The numbers of linearly independent invariant monomials of $\mathcal{O}(q^2)$, $\mathcal{O}(q^3)$ and $\mathcal{O}(q^4)$ are 8, 32 and 218, in order. The obtained Lagrangian can be used to study the chiral dynamics and relevant phenomenology of the doubly charmed baryons at complete one-loop level in future. For completeness, the non-relativistic reduction of the Lagrangian is also discussed.
Invited "News & Views" for the journal, SCIENCE CHINA: Physics, Mechanics & Astronomy, on a recently new search for the doubly charmed baryon $Ξ_{cc}^+$ at the LHC, which is done by the LHCb Collaboration, arXiv:1909.12273.
The feasibility of tetraquark detection is studied. For the cc\bar{u}\bar{d} tetraquark we show that in present (SELEX, Tevatron, RHIC) and future facilities (LHCb, ALICE) the production rate is promising and we propose some detectable decay channels.
This paper focuses on disagreement between theoretical predictions and experimental results of the production properties of Doubly Charmed Baryons. The kinematic dependencies were used to clarify the discrepancy between the SELEX data and the theory. The production ratio of the $Ξ_{cc}^+$ baryon in the SELEX kinematic region is presented. The recent experimental results are reviewed.
In this work we study the possible QCD exotic states in the doubly charmed baryon sector. Within chiral effective theory, it is predicted that several excited baryons result from the $S$-wave scattering of ground-state doubly charmed baryons ($Ξ_{cc}^{++}, Ξ_{cc}^{+}, Ω_{cc}^{+}$) and light pseudoscalar mesons ($π, K, η$). The excited doubly charmed baryons can be classified by the strangeness ($S$) and isospin ($I$) quantum numbers. Two of the excited states are clearly exotic, in the sense that they cannot be explained by the conventional baryons with three quarks, since their quantum number…
This paper focuses on disagreement between theoretical predictions and the SELEX results of the production properties of Doubly Charmed Baryons. The role of the intrinsic charm mechanism in the SELEX kinematic region is researched. The production ratio of the $Ξ_{cc}^+$ baryon in the SELEX kinematic region is presented. The recent experimental results are reviewed.
We study two- and three-baryon systems with two units of charm looking for possible bound states or resonances. All two-baryon interactions are consistently derived from a constituent quark model tuned in the light-flavor hadron phenomenology: spectra and interactions. The presence of the heavy quarks makes the two-body interactions simpler than in the light-flavor sector. Our results show a narrow two-body resonance with quantum numbers $(I,J^P)=(0,0^+)$. It is located 6.2 MeV below the $Σ_cΣ_c$ threshold and has a width of 4.7 MeV. The foregoing two-body state contributes to generate a $N Σ_…
Stimulated by the newly reported doubly-charmed tetraquark state $T_{cc}^+$ by LHCb, we carry out a systematic investigation of the $S$-wave interactions between the charmed meson ($D,\,D^{*}$) in $H$-doublet and the charmed meson ($D_{1},\,D_{2}^{*}$) in $T$-doublet by adopting the one-boson-exchange model. Both the $S$-$D$ wave mixing effect and the coupled channel effect are taken into account. By performing a quantitative calculation, we suggest that the $S$-wave $D^{*} D_{1}$ states with $I(J^{P})=0(0^{-},\,1^{-})$ and the $S$-wave $D^{*}D_{2}^{*}$ state with $I(J^{P})=0(1^{-})$ should be…
The finite size of doubly heavy diquark gives a positive correction to the masses of baryons calculated in the local diquark approximation. We evaluate this correction for the basic states of doubly charmed baryons to give quite accurate predictions actual for current searches of those baryons at LHCb: $m[{Ξ_{cc}^{1/2}}^{+}]\approx m[{Ξ_{cc}^{1/2}}^{++}]=3615\pm 55$ MeV and $m[{Ξ_{cc}^{3/2}}^{+}]\approx m[{Ξ_{cc}^{3/2}}^{++}]=3747\pm 55$ MeV.
The existence of doubly heavy flavor baryons has not been well established experimentally so far. In this Letter we systematically investigate the weak decays of the doubly charmed baryons, $Ξ_{cc}^{++}$ and $Ξ_{cc}^{+}$, which would be helpful for experimental searches for these particles. The branching fractions are studied under the factorization hypothesis for the short-distance contributions and considering the rescattering effect for the long-distance contributions which are significantly enhanced. Comparing all the decay modes, we recommend the processes of $Ξ_{cc}^{++}\to Λ_c^+K^-π^+π^…
In the present work, we investigate the scalar, axialvector and tensor doubly-charmed tetraquark molecular states without strange, with strange and with doubly-strange via the QCD sum rules, and try to make assignment of the $T^+_{cc}$ from the LHCb collaboration in the scenario of molecular states. The predictions favor assigning the $T^+_{cc}$ to be the lighter $DD^{*}$ molecular state with the spin-parity $J^P=1^+$ and isospin $I=0$, while the heavier $DD^{*}$ molecular state with the spin-parity $J^P=1^+$ and isospin $I=1$ still escapes experimental detections, the observation of the heavi…
Cabibbo-favored nonleptonic charmed particle decays exhibit large final-state phase differences in $\bar K π$ and $\bar K^* π$ but not $\bar K ρ$ channels. It is of interest to know the corresponding pattern of final-state phases in doubly-Cabibbo-suppressed decays, governed by the $c \to d u \bar s$ subprocess. An experimental program is outlined for determining such phases via measurements of rates for $D \to K^* π$ and $K (ρ, ω,ϕ)$ channels, and determination of interference between bands in Dalitz plots. Such a program is feasible at planned high-intensity sources of charmed particles.
In this article, we study the scalar-diquark-scalar-diquark-scalar-diquark type hexaquark state with the QCD sum rules by carrying out the operator product expansion up to the vacuum condensates of dimension 16. We obtain the lowest hexaquark mass $6.60^{+0.12}_{-0.09}\,\rm{GeV}$, which can be confronted to the experimental data in the future.
We prove a U-spin amplitude triangle relation among doubly Cabibbo-suppressed (DCS) charmed meson decays, $D^0\to K^+π^-, D^0 \to K^0π^0$ and $D^+_s \to K^0 K^+$, congruent to an isospin relation among corresponding Cabibbo-favored (CF) decays. U-spin breaking in relative phases between CF and DCS amplitudes affects time-dependent studies of $D^0-\od$ mixing. Comparison of final state phase patterns in DCS and CF amplitude triangles, which can shed some light on these phases, is carried out in a phenomenological framework incorporating resonance contributions.
The doubly charmed hadron production at B factories is of special importance for the study of the hadron structure and the color connections before hadronization. To suppress the combination background fluctuations of the reconstructed hadron mass spectra, we suggest a three-jet event shape trigger. After these three jets are identified by their energy and angular distributions, it is found that: 1) The background process $e^+ e^- \to c\bar {c} \to h's$ in consideration of the final hadron system $Λ_c^+K^-π^+ +X$ are significantly suppressed. 2) For the selected events, about half of the parti…
Using the quark-diquark approximation in the framework of Buchm\" uller-Tye potential model, we investigate the spectroscopy of doubly charmed baryons: $Ξ_{cc}^{++}$ and $Ξ_{cc}^{+}$. Our results include the masses, parameters of radial wave functions of states with the different excitations of both diquark and light quark-diquark system. We calculate the values of fine and hyperfine splittings of these levels and discuss some new features, connected to the identity of heavy quarks, in the dynamics of hadronic and radiative transitions between the states of these baryons.
Several observed states close to the $D\bar{D}^*$ and $D^*_{(s)}\bar{D}^*_{(s)}$ thresholds, as the X(3872) and some XYZ particles can be described in terms of a two-meson molecule. Furthermore, doubly charmed states are also predicted. These new states are near the $D^*D^*$ and $D^*D^*_s$ thresholds, % Therefore, if the previous XYZ are molecules, then, there should be doubly charmed mesons with $J^P=1^+$ around the $D^*D^*$ threshold. %For this reason, it is important to evaluate observables related to them. Because of the spin$=1$, they do not decay into $DD$. In this article we compute dec…
We have systematically investigated the spin-$\frac{3}{2}$ to spin-$\frac{1}{2}$ doubly charmed baryon transition magnetic moments to the next-to-next-to-leading order in the heavy baryon chiral perturbation theory (HBChPT). Numerical results of transition magnetic moments and decay widths are presented to the next-to-leading order: $μ_{Ξ_{cc}^{*++}\rightarrowΞ_{cc}^{++}}=-2.35μ_{N}$, $μ_{Ξ_{cc}^{*+}\rightarrowΞ_{cc}^{+}}=1.55μ_{N}$, $μ_{Ω_{cc}^{*+}\rightarrowΩ_{cc}^{+}}=1.54μ_{N}$, $Γ_{Ξ_{cc}^{*++}\rightarrowΞ_{cc}^{++}}=22.0$ keV, $Γ_{Ξ_{cc}^{*+}\rightarrowΞ_{cc}^{+}}=9.57$ keV, $Γ_{Ω_{cc}^{…
The three pentaquark states, $P_c(4312)$, $P_c(4440)$ and $P_c(4457)$, discovered by the LHCb Collaboration in 2019, can be arranged into a complete heavy quark spin symmetry multiplet of hadronic molecules of $\bar{D}^{(\ast)}Σ_{c}^{(\ast)}$. In the heavy quark mass limit, the $Σ_{c}^{(\ast)}$ baryons can be related to the doubly charmed tetraquark states of isospin 1, i.e., $T_{\bar{c}\bar{c}}^{(\ast)}$( $T_{\bar{c}\bar{c}}^{0}$, $T_{\bar{c}\bar{c}}^{1}$, $T_{\bar{c}\bar{c}}^{2}$), via heavy antiquark diquark symmetry, which dictates that the $\bar{D}^{(\ast)}Σ_{c}^{(\ast)}$ interactions are…
The doubly charmed baryon $Ξ^{++}_{cc}$ was observed by LHCb cooperation in 2017. The branching fractions of two-body doubly charmed baryon decays were predicted in the framework of rescattering mechanism, and some $SU(3)_F$ relations were investigated in the topological amplitudes. In this work, we study the correlation between topological diagram at quark level and rescattering triangle diagram at hadron level in the doubly charmed baryon decay. The completeness of our framework is confirmed from the fact that all the twelve possible structures of meson-baryon scattering appear once each in …
We present the ground and excited state spectra of doubly charmed baryons from lattice QCD with dynamical quark fields. Calculations are performed on anisotropic lattices of size 16^3 X 128, with inverse spacing in temporal direction 1/a_t = 5.67(4) GeV and with a pion mass of about 390 MeV. A large set of baryonic operators that respect the symmetries of the lattice yet which retain a memory of their continuum analogues are used. These operators transform as irreducible representations of SU(3) symmetry for flavor, SU(4) symmetry for Dirac spins of quarks and O(3) for spatial symmetry. The di…
We have systematically studied the strong and radiative decays of the low-lying $1P$-wave doubly charmed baryons. Some interesting observations are: (i) The states $Ξ_{cc}^*$ and $Ω_{cc}^*$ with $J^P=3/2^+$ have a fairly large decay rate into the $Ξ_{cc}γ$ and $Ω_{cc}γ$ channels with a width $\sim 15$ and $\sim7$ keV, respectively. (ii) The lowest lying excited doubly charmed baryons are dominated by the $1P$ $ρ$ mode excitations, which should be quite narrow states. They decay into the ground state with $J^P=1/2^+$ through the radiative transitions with a significant ratio. (iii) The total de…
The production of baryons containing two charmed quarks Xi_cc in hadronic interactions at high energies and large transverse momenta is considered. It is supposed, that Xi_cc-baryon is formed during a non-perturbative fragmentation of the (cc)-diquark, which was produced in the hard process of $c$-quark scattering from the colliding protons: c+c -> (cc) +g. It is shown that such mechanism enhances the expected doubly charmed baryon production cross section on Tevatron and LHC colliders approximately 2 times in contrast to predictions, obtained in the model of gluon - gluon production of (cc)-d…
The isospin breaking effect plays an essential role in generating hadronic molecular states with a very tiny binding energy. Very recently, the LHCb Collaboration observed a very narrow doubly charmed tetraquark $T_{cc}^+$ in the $D^0D^0π$ mass spectrum, which lies just below the $D^0D^{*+}$ threshold around 273 keV. In this work, we study the $D^0D^{*+}/D^+D^{*0}$ interactions with the one-boson-exchange effective potentials and consider the isospin breaking effect carefully. We not only reproduce the mass of the newly observed $T_{cc}^+$ very well in the doubly charmed molecular tetraquark s…
Until now, the first reported doubly charmed baryon $Ξ_{cc}^{+}(3520)$ is still a puzzle. It was discovered and confirmed by SELEX collaboration, but not confirmed by LHCb, BABAR, BELLE, FOCUS, or any other collaboration. In the present paper, by employing Regge phenomenology, we first express the mass of the ground state ($L$=0) doubly charmed baryon $Ω_{cc}^{*+}$ as a function of masses of the well established light baryons and singly charmed baryons. Inserting the recent experimental data, the mass of $Ω_{cc}^{*+}$ is given to be 3809$\pm$36 MeV, which is independent of any unobservable par…
We systematically study the $S$-wave doubly charmed baryons using the method of QCD sum rules. Our results suggest that the $Ξ_{cc}^{++}$ recently observed by LHCb can be well identified as the $S$-wave $Ξ_{cc}$ state of $J^P = 1/2^+$. We study its relevant $Ω_{cc}$ state, whose mass is predicted to be around 3.7 GeV. We also systematically study the $P$-wave doubly charmed baryons, whose masses are predicted to be around 4.1 GeV. Especially, there can be several excited doubly charmed baryons in this energy region, and we suggest to search for them in order to study the fine structure of the …
We have performed a detailed investigation of total lifetimes for the $Ξ_{cc}^{++}$ and $Ξ_{cc}^{+}$ baryons in the framework of operator product expansion over the inverse mass of charmed quark, whereas, to estimate matrix elements of operators obtained in OPE, some approximations of nonrelativistic QCD are used. This approach allows one to take into account the corrections to the spectator decays of $c$-quarks, which reflect the fact, that these quarks are bound, as well as the contributions, connected to the effects of both the Pauli interference for the $Ξ_{cc}^{++}$-baryon and the weak sc…
We present results for masses of spin-1/2 and spin-3/2 double-charm baryons in quenched lattice QCD, from an exploratory study using a non-perturbatively improved clover action at beta=6.2. We have studied local operators and we observe, after appropriate projections, a good signal for the ground states. We also present results for single-charmed baryons and spin-splittings for both double- and single-charmed states.
In this work, we evaluate the lifetimes of the doubly charmed baryons $Ξ_{cc}^{+}$, $Ξ_{cc}^{++}$ and $Ω_{cc}^{+}$. We carefully calculate the non-spectator contributions at the quark level where the Cabibbo-suppressed diagrams are also included. The hadronic matrix elements are evaluated in the simple non-relativistic harmonic oscillator model. Our numerical results are generally consistent with that obtained by other authors who used the diquark model. However, all the theoretical predictions on the lifetimes are one order larger than the upper limit set by the recent SELEX measurement. This…
