We classify all scalar-flat toric Kähler 4-manifolds under either of two asymptotic conditions: that the action fields decay slowly (or at all), or that the curvature decay is quadratic; for example we fully classify instantons that have any of the ALE-F-G-H asymptotic types. The momentum functions satisfy a degenerate elliptic equation, and under either asymptotic condition the image of the moment map is closed. Using a recent Liouville theorem for degenerate-elliptic equations, we classify all possibilities for the momentum functions, and from this, all possible metrics.
Anti-diagonal toric generalized K$\ddot{a}$hler structures of symplectic type on a compact toric symplectic manifold were investigated in \cite{Wang2} . In this article, we consider \emph{general} toric generalized K$\ddot{a}$hler structures of symplectic type, without requiring them to be anti-diagonal. Such a structure is characterized by a triple $(τ, C, F)$ where $τ$ is a strictly convex function defined in the interior of the moment polytope $Δ$ and $C, F$ are two constant anti-symmetric matrices. We prove that underlying each such a structure is a \emph{canonical} toric K$\ddot{a}$hler s…
This is a sequel of \cite{Wang}, which provides a general formalism for this paper. We mainly investigate thoroughly a subclass of toric generalized K$\ddot{a}$hler manifolds of symplectic type introduced by Boulanger in \cite{Bou}. We find torus actions on such manifolds are all \emph{strong Hamiltonian} in the sense of \cite{Wang}. For each such a manifold, we prove that besides the ordinary two complex structures $J_\pm$ associated to the biHermitian description, there is a \emph{third} canonical complex structure $J_0$ underlying the geometry, which makes the manifold toric K$\ddot{a}$hler…
We construct new explicit toric scalar-flat K{ä}hler ALE metrics on weighted projective spaces of non-compact type, which we use to obtain smooth extremal K{ä}hler metrics on appropriate resolutions of orbifolds. In particular, we obtain new extremal metrics certain resolutions of weighted projective spaces of compact type.
We introduce a class of almost homogeneous varieties contained in the class of spherical varieties and containing horospherical varieties as well as complete symmetric varieties. We develop K{ä}hler geometry on these varieties, with applications to canonical metrics in mind, as a generalization of the Guillemin-Abreu-Donaldson geometry of toric varieties. Namely we associate convex functions with hermitian metrics on line bundles, and express the curvature form in terms of this function, as well as the corresponding Monge-Amp{è}re volume form and scalar curvature. We then provide an expression…
We give a classification of toric, Hermitian, Ricci flat, ALF Riemannian metrics in dimension 4, including metrics with conical singularities. The only smooth examples are on one hand the hyperKaehler ALF metrics, on the other hand, the Kerr, Taub-NUT and Chen-Teo metrics. There are examples with conical singularities with infinitely many distinct topologies. We provide explicit formulas.
We study finite energy classes of quasiplurisubharmonic (qpsh) functions in the setting of toric compact K{ä}hler manifolds. We characterize toric qpsh functions and give necessary and sufficient conditions for them to have finite (weighted) energy, both in terms of the associated convex function in R n , and through the integrability properties of its Legendre transform. We characterize Log-Lipschitz convex functions on the Delzant polytope, showing that they correspond to toric qpsh functions which satisfy a certain exponential integrability condition. In the particular case of dimension one…
We prove uniqueness and existence theorems for four-dimensional asymptotically flat, Ricci-flat, gravitational instantons with a torus symmetry. In particular, we prove that such instantons are uniquely characterised by their rod structure, which is data that encodes the fixed point sets of the torus action. Furthermore, we establish that for every admissible rod structure there exists an instanton that is smooth up to possible conical singularities at the axes of symmetry. The proofs involve adapting the methods that are used to establish black hole uniqueness theorems, to a harmonic map form…
The Chen-Teo gravitational instanton is an asymptotically flat, toric, Ricci flat family of metrics on $\mathbb{C}\mathbb{P}^2\setminus S^1$, that provides a counterexample to the classical Euclidean Black Hole Uniqueness conjecture. In this paper we show that the Chen-Teo instanton is Hermitian and non-Kähler. It follows that all known examples of gravitational instantons are Hermitian.
