The isospin doublet scalar field with hypercharge 3/2 is introduced in some new physics models such as tiny neutrino masses. Detecting the doubly charged scalar bosons from the doublet field can be a good probe of such models. However, their collider phenomenology has not been examined sufficiently. We investigate collider signatures of the doubly and singly charged scalar bosons at the LHC for the high-luminosity upgraded option (HL-LHC) by looking at transverse mass distributions etc. With the appropriate kinematical cuts we demonstrate the background reduction in the minimal model in the following two cases depending on the mass of the scalar bosons. (1) The main decay mode of the singly charged scalar bosons is the tau lepton and missing (as well as charm and strange quarks). (2) That is into a top bottom pair. In the both cases, we assume that the doubly charged scalar boson is heavier than the singly charged ones. We conclude that the scalar doublet field with $Y = 3/2$ is expected to be detectable at the HL-LHC unless the mass is too large.
We studied the signatures at the LHC of the electroweak SU(2) lepton doublet which embeds a doubly charged lepton. The doubly charged lepton pair and single production rates, which are different from the triplet case, are studied and all the detectable decay modes are considered. We also applied the same kinematic cuts as in triplet case to reduce the background at LHC and the needed integrated luminosities to find the doubly charged leptons with different masses are analyzed. We also suggested a method to distinguish the exotic lepton doublet and triplet.
We propose a new type of a three-loop induced neutrino mass model with dark matter candidates which are required for the neutrino mass generation. The smallness of neutrino masses can be naturally explained without introducing super heavy particles, namely, much heavier than a TeV scale and quite small couplings as compared to the gauge couplings. We find that as a bonus, the anomaly of the muon anomalous magnetic moment can simultaneously be explained by loop effects of new particles. In our model, there are doubly charged scalar bosons and leptons from isospin doublet fields which give chara…
We consider the extended Higgs models, in which one of the isospin doublet scalar fields carries the hypercharge Y=3/2. Such a doublet field $Φ_{3/2}$ is composed of a doubly charged scalar boson as well as a singly charged one. We first discuss a simple model with $Φ_{3/2}$ (Model I), and study its collider phenomenology at the LHC. We then consider a new model for radiatively generating neutrino masses with a dark matter candidate (Model II), in which $Φ_{3/2}$ and an extra Y=1/2 doublet as well as vector-like singlet fermions carry the odd quantum number for an unbroken discrete $Z_2$ symme…
Inspired by the observation of the doubly charmed tetraquark state $T_{cc}^+$ at the LHCb Collaboration, we systematically study the $S$-wave interactions between a pair of charmed mesons ($D_{1},\,D_{2}^{\ast}$) in the $T$-doublet, where we adopt the one-boson-exchange model and consider both the $S$-$D$ wave mixing and coupled channel effects. Our numerical results suggest that the prime doubly charmed molecular tetraquark candidates are the $S$-wave $D_1D_1$ state with $I(J^P)=0(1^+)$, the $S$-wave $D_1{D}_2^{\ast}$ states with $I(J^P)=0(1^+,\,2^+,\,3^+)$, and the $S$-wave ${D}_2^{\ast}{D}_…
The SU(3)$_L\otimesU(1)_N$ electroweak model predicts new Higgs bosons beyond the one of the standard model. In this work we investigate the signature and production of doubly charged Higgs bosons in the $e^-e^+$ International Linear Collider and in the CERN Linear Collider. We compute the branching ratios for the doubly charged gauge bosons of the model.
We study the neutral Higgs boson production at the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and the future $e^- e^+$ linear collider (ILC) in the two Higgs doublet model with CP violation. The CP-even and CP-odd scalars are mixed in this model, which affects the production processes of neutral Higgs boson. We examine the correlation of the Higgs production at LHC and ILC and provide a strategy to distinguish the model from the CP conserving model and to determine the parameters of the Higgs sector.
Stimulated by the newly reported doubly-charmed tetraquark state $T_{cc}^+$ by LHCb, we carry out a systematic investigation of the $S$-wave interactions between the charmed meson ($D,\,D^{*}$) in $H$-doublet and the charmed meson ($D_{1},\,D_{2}^{*}$) in $T$-doublet by adopting the one-boson-exchange model. Both the $S$-$D$ wave mixing effect and the coupled channel effect are taken into account. By performing a quantitative calculation, we suggest that the $S$-wave $D^{*} D_{1}$ states with $I(J^{P})=0(0^{-},\,1^{-})$ and the $S$-wave $D^{*}D_{2}^{*}$ state with $I(J^{P})=0(1^{-})$ should be…
In the first part of this thesis, we consider an extension to the Standard Model composed by a Massive Vector Doublet under SU(2)L and a Left-handed Heavy Neutral Lepton. We study the production of these exotic leptons with a Same Flavor Opposite Sign standard lepton pair, and jets. We establish limits on the parameter space considering previous searches in this final state. After the limit definition, we study a modification on the event selection criteria in order to increase the possibility of probing these new particles at the Large Hadron Collider. Finally, we perform a parameter scan con…
We consider a framework where the Standard Model is augmented by a second SU(2) scalar doublet and by a real scalar singlet that, protected by a Z2 symmetry, provides a particle Dark Matter candidate. We show that this setup allows for doubly blind spots at both collider searches for anomalies in the Higgs invisible decay width, and at direct Dark Matter detection. The blind spots originate from cancellations between interfering diagrams featuring different neutral scalar exchanges, and from cancellations driven by the two-Higgs doublet structure in the vertex coupling the singlet state with t…
We discuss the formulation of the general two-Higgs doublet model type III, which incorporates flavor changing neutral scalar interactions (FCNSI) and CP violation from several sources. CP violation can arise either from Yukawa terms or from the Higgs potential, and it can explicit or spontaneous. We discuss the case that includes CP violation with Yukawa textures to control FCNSI and evaluate the CP asymmetry for the decay h-> c-b+ W-, which may allow to test the patterns of FCNSI and CP violation, that arises in these models.
We extend some two Higgs doublet models, where the Yukawa couplings for the charged fermion mass generation only involve one Higgs doublet, by two singlet scalars respectively carrying a singly electric charge and a doubly electric charge. The doublet and singlet scalars together can mediate a two-loop diagram to generate a tiny Majorana mass matrix of the standard model neutrinos. Remarkably, the structure of the neutrino mass matrix is fully determined by the symmetric Yukawa couplings of the doubly charged scalar to the right-handed leptons. Meanwhile, a one-loop induced neutrinoless double…
The doubly charged Higgs bosons $Δ^{--}$ that are present in exotic Higgs representations can have lepton-number-violating couplings to $e^-e^-$. We discuss general constraints and phenomenology for the $Δ^{--}$ and demonstrate that extremely small values for the $e^-e^-\rightarrowΔ^{--}$ coupling (some 8 orders of magnitude smaller than the current limit) would produce observable signals for $Δ^{--}$ production in direct $s$-channel production at an $e^-e^-$ collider.
Although theoretically well-motivated as a minimal consistent Dark Matter (DM) model, the Inert Doublet Model (IDM) fell short in explaining the existence of DM in the intermediate mass region ($100-500$ GeV). We try to address this problem by introducing an additional vector dark matter. We show that the relic density of inert dark matter candidate can be enhanced significantly with new interactions in the intermediate mass region $100-500$ GeV in the multicomponent dark matter model when compared with the usual single component inert doublet model. We also show that we can get a reasonable e…
We show that the photon-photon fusion process contributes significantly to the pair production of doubly charged Higgs bosons at the LHC at a level comparable to the Drell-Yan production. We reinterpret the ATLAS lower limit of 570 GeV (420 GeV) on the mass of $Δ_{L}^{\pm\pm}$ ($Δ_{R}^{\pm\pm}$) arising from $SU(2)_L$ triplet (singlet) scalar by including the photon initiated process and derive a new lower limit of 748 GeV (570 GeV), assuming that $Δ^{\pm \pm}$ decays into $e^\pm e^\pm$ 100% of the time. We have also shown that the 5$σ$ discovery reach for ${Δ_{L}^{\pm\pm}}$ (${Δ_{R}^{\pm\pm}}…
We study double Higgs production at the future Linear Collider in the framework of the Two Higgs Doublet Models through the following channels: $e^+e^- \to Φ_i Φ_j Z$, $Φ_i=h^0, H^0, A^0, H^\pm$. All these processes are sensitive to triple Higgs couplings. Hence observations of them provide information on the triple Higgs couplings that help reconstructing the scalar potential. We also discuss the double Higgs-strahlung $e^+e^- \to h^0 h^0 Z$ in the decoupling limit where $h^0$ mimics the SM Higgs boson. The processes $e^+e^- \to h^0 h^0 Z$ and $e^+e^- \to h^0 H^0 Z$ are also discussed in the …
A scenario augmenting the well known Type-X Two-Higgs doublet model (2HDM) with an additional inert doublet is proposed. The Type-X 2HDM is known to offer a solution to the muon $g-2$ anomaly for a light pseudoscalar. We show that the proposed framework can accomodate a heavier pseudoscalar on account of two-loop Barr-Zee (BZ) contributions to muon $g-2$ stemming from the inert doublet. We subsequently explore an interesting $τ^+τ^- + $ missing transverse energy signal that can be used to probe the present scenario at the 14 TeV LHC.
We calculate the total cross-section for $γ^* γ^*$ collisions and for the process $e^+ e^- \to e^+ e^- + hadrons$ with two tagged leptons assuming dominance of the QCD pomeron exchange. We solve the BFKL equation including the dominant subleading effects generated by the consistency constraint which restricts the available phase-space of the emitted gluons to the region inwhich the virtuality of the exchanged gluons is dominated by their transverse momentum squared. Estimate of the possible soft pomeron contribution to the $γ^* γ^*$ cross-section is also presented. At very high CM energies $W$…

We study how effects of the CP violation can be observed indirectly by precision measurements of Higgs boson couplings at a future Higgs factory such as the international linear collider. We consider two Higgs doublet models with the softly broken discrete symmetry. We find that by measuring the Higgs boson couplings very precisely we are able to distinguish the two Higgs doublet model with CP violation from the CP conserving one.
This paper investigates the decays from heavy higgsino-like weak-doublets into Z, h bosons and missing particles. When pair-produced at the LHC, the subsequent Z, h to 2l, 2b decays in the doublet decay cascade can yield 4l, 2l 2b, and 4b + MET + jets final states. Mutual observation of any two of these channels would provide information on the the associated doublets' decay branching fractions into a Z or h, thereby probing the Goldstone equivalence relation, shedding additional light on the Higgs sector of beyond the Standard Model theories, and facilitating the discrimination of various con…
The spontaneous muonium-to-antimuonium conversion is one of the interesting charged lepton flavor violation processes. MACE is the next generation experiment to probe such a phenomenon. In models with a triplet Higgs to generate neutrino masses, such as Type-II seesaw and its variant, this process can be induced by the doubly-charged Higgs contained in it. In this article, we study the prospect of MACE to probe these models via the muonium-to-antimuonium transitions. After considering the limits from $μ^+ \rightarrow e^+ γ$ and $μ^+ \rightarrow e^+ e^- e^+$, we find that MACE could probe a par…
We discuss how the intensity and the energy frontiers provide complementary constraints within a minimal model of neutrino mass involving just one new field beyond the Standard Model at accessible energy, namely a doubly charged scalar $S^{++}$ and its antiparticle $S^{--}$. In particular we focus on the complementarity between high-energy LHC searches and low-energy probes such as lepton flavor violation. Our setting is a prime example of how high- and low-energy physics can cross-fertilize each other.
The limitations of the doublet-septet mixing models by the deviations of electroweak oblique parameters $ΔS$ and $ΔT$ are studied. In the minimal model, the mixture of the septet $η$ and the scalar doublet in the standard model (SM) is driven by a non-Hermitian dimension-7 operator. For a smaller bare mass of the septet, $ΔS$ gives a stringent constraint on the mixing angle $\sinβ$ between the CP-odd neutral parts of the SM Higgs doublet and $η$. In general, increasing the mass of the scalar septet $M_η$ will enhance the deviation of $T$ from the SM, whereas it decreases the magnitude of $ΔS$ …
We analyse the signal sensitivity of multi-lepton final states at collider that can arise from doubly and singly charged Higgs decay in a type-II seesaw framework. We assume triplet vev to be very small and degenerate masses for both the charged Higgs states. The leptonic branching ratio of doubly and singly charged Higgs states have a large dependency on the neutrino oscillation parameters, lightest neutrino mass scale, as well as neutrino mass hierarchy. We explore this as well as the relation between the leptonic branching ratios of the singly and doubly charged Higgs states in detail. We e…
A study of searching for doubly charged Higgs $(δ^{\pm\pm})$ is performed in two-Higgs-doublet extension of the type-II seesaw model. We find that a significant mixing effect between singly charged Higgs of Higgs doublet and of triplet is arisen from the scalar potential. The mixing leads to new production processes and decay patterns of doubly charged Higgs. With luminosity of 40 fb$^{-1}$ and collision energy of 13 TeV at the LHC, we show that $δ^{\pm\pm}$ with mass below $330$ GeV could be observed at the $5σ$ level. Moreover, for the luminosity of 300 fb$^{-1}$, the observed mass of $δ^{\p…
We consider a fermionic dark matter (DM) in the left-right symmetric framework by introducing a pair of vector-like (VL) doublets in the particle spectrum. The stability of the DM is ensured through an unbroken $\mathcal{Z}_2$ symmetry. We explore the parameter space of the model compatible with the observed relic density and direct and indirect detection cross sections. The presence of charged dark fermions opens up an interesting possibility for the doubly charged Higgs signal at LHC and ILC. The signal for the doubly charged scalar decaying into the dark sector is analyzed in multilepton fi…
In this work, we discuss the electromagnetic properties of the $S$-wave $Σ_c^{(*)}D^{(*)}$-type doubly charmed molecular pentaquarks, which have close relation to their inner structures. Both the $S$-$D$ wave mixing effect and the coupled channel effect are taken into account. We analyze the magnetic moments for the $S$-wave $Σ_c^{(*)}D^{(*)}$ molecular states, and extend our theoretical framework to study the transition magnetic moments and the radiative decay widths between the $S$-wave $Σ_c^{(*)}D^{(*)}$ molecules. We discuss the relations between the magnetic moments and the transition mag…
Two Higgs doublet extensions of the standard model, such as supersymmetry, predict the existence of charged Higgs bosons. We explore the reach for TeV-scale charged Higgs bosons through their associated production with top quarks, and their decay to boosted top jets and $μ_x$ tagged boosted bottom jets, at a 14 TeV CERN Large Hadron Collider and at a 100 TeV Future Circular Collider. In particular, we show the moderate $\tanβ$ "wedge" region of parameter space cannot be probed at the Large Hadron Collider for TeV-scale $H^\pm$ because the cross section is too small. However, a 100 TeV future p…

Inspired by the observations of three $P_c$ states, we systematically investigate interactions between an $S$-wave charmed baryon $\mathcal{B}_{c}^{(*)}=Λ_c/Σ_c/Σ_c^{*}$ and an anticharmed meson $\bar T=\bar D_1/\bar D_2^*$ with the one-pion-exchange potential model and the one-boson-exchange potential model, and search for possible new types of $P_c$ states with the structures of $\mathcal{B}_{c}^{(*)}\bar T$. Both $S$-$D$ wave mixing and coupled channel effects are considered. Our results suggest that in some $\mathcal{B}_{c}^{(*)}\bar T$ systems there are ideal candidates of new types of $P…

We discuss same-sign dilepton resonances in the simplified model approach. The relevant $SU(3}_Q^J$ quantum numbers are $1_2^{0,1,2}$. For simplicity, we only consider a spin 0 scalar, which is typically referred to as a doubly charged Higgs in the literature. We consider the three simplest cases where the doubly charged Higgs resides in a singlet, doublet or triplet $SU(2)_L$ representation. We discuss production and decay of such a doubly charged Higgs, summarize the current direct search limits, and obtain mass limits in the cases of singlet and doublet for the first time. We also present a…
We report a new constraint on the variation of the fine-structure constant based on the analysis of 15 Si IV doublets selected from a ESO-UVES sample. We find Δα/α= (+0.15+/-0.43) x 10^-5 over a redshift range of 1.59< z < 2.92 which is consistent with no variation in α. This result represents a factor of three improvement on the constraint on Δα/αbased on Si IV doublets compared to the published results in the literature. The alkali doublet method used here avoids the implicit assumptions used in the many-multiplet method that chemical and ionization inhomogeneities are negligible and isotopi…
We investigate unitarity bounds in the most general two Higgs doublet model without a discrete $Z_2$ symmetry nor CP conservation. S-wave amplitudes for two-body elastic scatterings of Nambu-Goldstone bosons and physical Higgs bosons are calculated at high energies for all possible initial and final states (14 neutral, 8 singly-charged and 3 doubly-charged states). We obtain analytic formulae for the block-diagonalized scattering matrix by the classification of the two body scattering states using the conserved quantum numbers at high energies. Imposing the condition of perturbative unitarity …
The present work introduces new scalar and fermionic degrees of freedom to the Standard Model. While the scalar sector is augmented by a complex scalar triplet and a doubly charged scalar singlet, the fermionic sector is extended by two copies of vector-like leptons. Of these, one copy is an $SU(2)_L$ singlet while the other, an $SU(2)_L$ doublet. We explain how this combination can offer a solution to the muon g-2 anomaly and also lead to non-zero neutrino masses. In addition, it is also shown that the parameter regions compliant with the two aforementioned issues can stabilise the electrowea…
It has recently shown that in supersymmetric left-right models with automatic R-parity conservation, the theory below the $W_R$ scale is given by MSSM with massive neutrinos and a pair of doubly charged superfields with masses in the 100 GeV range (with or without an extra pair of heavy Higgs doublets (M \geq 10 TeV) depending on the model). In this paper we study the unification prospects for such theories and their phenomenological implications for collider experiments. We study two versions of the theory, one with supersymmetry breaking transmitted via the gauge and another where the same o…
We consider two Higgs doublet models (THDMs) with both the Higgs potential and Yukawa interactions being aligned, which we call "double-aligned THDMs". In this scenario, coupling constants of the discovered Higgs boson to the Standard Model (SM) particles are identical to those of the SM Higgs boson, and flavor changing neutral currents via neutral Higgs bosons do not appear at tree level. We investigate current constraints and future prospects of the model by using measurements from flavor experiments and data of multi-lepton final states at LHC. Especially, we focus on the electroweak pair p…
We study the sensitivity of future electron-positron colliders to UV completions of the fermionic Higgs portal operator $H^\dagger H \bar χχ$. Measurements of precision electroweak $S$ and $T$ parameters and the $e^+e^- \to Zh$ cross section at the CEPC, FCC-ee, and ILC are considered. The scalar completion of the fermionic Higgs portal is closely related to the scalar Higgs portal, and we summarize existing results. We devote the bulk of our analysis to a singlet-doublet fermion completion. Assuming the doublet is sufficiently heavy, we construct the effective field theory (EFT) at dimension-…
We present a detailed study of the annihilation signals of the inert dark matter doublet model in its high mass regime. Concretely, we study the prospects to observe gamma-ray signals of the model in current and projected Cherenkov telescopes taking into account the Sommerfeld effect and including the contribution to the spectrum from gamma-ray lines as well as from internal bremsstrahlung. We show that present observations of the galactic center by the H.E.S.S. instrument are able to exclude regions of the parameter space that give the correct dark matter relic abundance. In particular, model…
The two principles of spontaneous CP violation and natural flavor conservation can be realized in the $SU(2)_{L}\times U(1)_{Y}$ model with two Higgs doublets. In particular, this model provides a consistent application to the CP violating parameters $ε$ and $ε'/ε$ in kaon decay and the neutron electric dipole moment. The masses of the exotic scalars are unconstrained in this model and probing these exotic scalars must be valuable at the present energy scales. Large CP violations may also occur in the heavy quark and lepton sectors.
We show the 13 TeV proton-proton collider simulation in a $ν$-two-Higgs-doublet-model ($ν$-THDM). The heavy charged Higgs bosons are produced in pairs through the electroweak processes and decay to the light sterile neutrinos. The light sterile neutrino further decays into a jet-like object with a muon in it. This helps us discriminate the signal from the backgrounds with the standard model jets.
We explore the challenging but phenomenologically interesting hierarchical mass spectrum of the Inert Doublet Model where relatively light dark matter along with much heavier scalar states can fully satisfy the constraints on the relic abundance and also fulfill other theoretical as well as collider and astrophysical bounds. To probe this region of parameter space at the LHC, we propose a signal process that combines up to two large radius boosted jets along with substantial missing transverse momentum. Aided by our intuitive signal selection, we capture a hybrid process where the di-fatjet si…
The Higgs Triplet Model (HTM) of neutrino mass generation predicts the existence of doubly charged Higgs bosons (H^{\pm\pm}). In the HTM a scalar eigenstate (H_2) is dominantly composed of the scalar field from the isospin doublet, and could be significantly heavier than H^{\pm\pm}. Such a scenario would allow the possibility of a large branching ratio for the decay H_2-> H^{++}H^{--}. From the production mechanism of gluon-gluon fusion, gg-> H_2, the above decay mode would give rise to pair production of doubly charged Higgs bosons (H^{++}H^{--}) with a cross section which could be significan…
Due to the very large mass of the top-quark, probing the flavor changing top-charm-scalar vertex is clearly very important. Fortunately the largeness of $m_t$ endows a unique signature to the resulting reaction i.e., $e^+e^-\to t\bar c (\bar t c)$ that should be helpful in identification of such events. A two Higgs doublet model, without natural flavor conservation, is used to give an illustrative estimate for the rate for these reactions.

We study a dark matter model with one singlet complex scalar and two Higgs doublets. The scalar potential respects a softly broken global symmetry, which makes the imaginary part of the singlet become a pseudo-Nambu-Goldstone boson acting as a dark matter candidate. The pseudo-Nambu-Goldstone nature of the boson leads to the vanishing of its tree-level scattering amplitude off nucleons at zero momentum transfer. Therefore, although the interaction strength could be sufficiently large to yield a viable relic abundance via thermal mechanism, direct detection is incapable of probing this candidat…
