A Structural Invariant On Certain Two-Dimensional Noetherian Partially Ordered Sets

If $(X, \le_X)$ is a partially ordered set satisfying certain necessary conditions for $X$ to be order-isomorphic to the spectrum of a Noetherian domain of dimension two, we describe a new poset $(\text{str } X, \le_{\text{str } X})$ that completely determines $X$ up to isomorphism. The order relation $\le_{\text{str } X}$ imposed on $\text{str } X$ is modeled after R. Wiegand's well-known "P5" condition that can be used to determine when a given partially ordered set $(U, \le_U)$ of a certain type is order-isomorphic to $(\text{Spec } \mathbb Z[x], \subseteq).$

On Two Dimensional Semi-Local Noetherian Spectra

In this article, we develop a technique to "split" certain types of partially ordered sets into simpler ones and use that technique to give a partial answer to a conjecture by R. Wiegand and S. Wiegand on the structure of semi-local, two-dimensional Noetherian spectra in their exposition on Noetherian prime ideals. Specifically, we show that very many two-dimensional posets with finitely many height two nodes that satisfy the necessary conditions of being the spectrum of a Noetherian ring, along with a very mild cardinality assumption, are in fact the spectrum of a Noetherian ring.

Quadratic Gröbner bases arising from partially ordered sets

The order polytope $\mathcal{O}(P)$ and the chain polytope $\mathcal{C}(P)$ associated to a partially ordered set $P$ are studied. In this paper, we introduce the convex polytope $Γ(\mathcal{O}(P), -\mathcal{C}(Q))$ which is the convex hull of $\mathcal{O}(P) \cup (-\mathcal{C}(Q))$, where both $P$ and $Q$ are partially ordered sets with $|P|=|Q|=d$. It will be shown that $Γ(\mathcal{O}(P), -\mathcal{C}(Q))$ is a normal and Gorenstein Fano polytope by using the theory of reverse lexicographic squarefree initial ideals of toric ideals.

Reflexive polytopes arising from partially ordered sets and perfect graphs

Mv-algebras And Partially Cyclically Ordered Groups

We prove that there exists a functorial correspondence between MV-algebras and partially cyclically ordered groups which are wound round of lattice-ordered groups. It follows that some results about cyclically ordered groups can be stated in terms of MV-algebras. For example, the study of groups together with a cyclic order allows to get a first-order characterization of groups of unimodular complex numbers and of finite cyclic groups. On algebras associated to partially ordered sets

We continue the study on sheaves of rings on finite posets. We present examples where the ring of global sections coincide with toric faces rings, quotients of a polynomial ring by a monomial ideal and algebras with straightening laws. We prove a rank-selection theorem which generalizes the well-known rank-selection theorem of Stanley-Reisner rings. Finally, we determine an explicit presentation of certain global rings of sections.

Primary decomposition over partially ordered groups

Over any partially ordered abelian group whose positive cone is closed in an appropriate sense and has finitely many faces, modules that satisfy a weak finiteness condition admit finite primary decompositions. Cohomology of partially ordered sets and local cohomology of section rings

We study local cohomology of rings of global sections of sheafs on the Alexandrov space of a partially ordered set. We give a criterion for a splitting of the local cohomology groups into summands determined by the cohomology of the poset and the local cohomology of the stalks. The face ring of a rational pointed fan can be considered as the ring of global sections of a flasque sheaf on the face poset of the fan.
