The experimental measurements on flavour physics, in tension with Standard Model predictions, exhibit large sources of Lepton Flavour Universality violation. We perform an analysis of the effects of the global fits on the Wilson coefficients assuming a model independent effective Hamiltonian approach, by including a set of different scenarios in which the New Physics contributions to the Wilson coefficients are present in one, two or three of the Wilson coefficients at a time. We compare the results of the global fit with respect to two cases: the Standard Model and the more general case in which New Physics modifies three independent Wilson coefficients. The last mentioned scenario is the favoured one for explaining the tension between Standard Model predictions and B-physics anomalies, but a specific more restricted scenario can provide similar goodness with a smaller set of free parameters. A discussion of the implications of our analysis in leptoquark models is included.
Higher order effects of the two-dimensional non-Abelian gauge theories, in which the vector-meson mass is generated by chiral anomalies, will be studied. The $β$ function and the topological nature of the non-linear $σ$ model in the action and unitarity of the theory will be discussed.
We consider an anomaly-free $U(1)'$ model with favorable couplings to heavy flavors in the Standard Model(SM), as motivated by $B$-meson anomalies at LHCb. Taking the $U(1)'$ charge to be $Q'=y(L_μ-L_τ)+ x(B_3-L_3)$, we can explain the $B$-meson anomalies without invoking extra charged fermions or flavor violation beyond the SM. We show that there is a viable parameter space with a small $x$ that is compatible with other meson decays, tau lepton and neutrino experiments as well as the LHC dimuon searches. We briefly discuss the prospects of discovering the $Z'$ gauge boson at the LHC in the pr…
The Standard Model decay rate of the $B_c$ meson is discussed together with a novel approach that uses experimental data in combination with an operator product expansion. In the new method differences of $B,\,D$ and $B_c$ meson decay rates are considered for which the free-quark contributions drop out, leading to a reduction of the theory prediction.
We consider the U(1)$_X$ model, which can induce the flavor violating couplings through vectorlike fermions and address the observed rare $B$-meson decay anomalies. To be consistent with all the other observations, both the associated gauge boson mass and the vectorlike lepton mass are bounded from above. We argue that the search for new vectorlike leptons is promising and provides a complement to the $Z'$ search. A detailed collider analysis shows that the model with the vectorlike lepton mass up to 1000 GeV could be tested at the future LHC.
The experimental measurements on flavour physics, in tension with Standard Model predictions, exhibit large sources of Lepton Flavour Universality violation. This note summarises an analysis of the effects of the global fits to the Wilson coefficients assuming a model independent effective Hamiltonian approach, by including a proposal of different scenarios to include the New Physics contributions. Additionally, we include an overview of the impact of the future generation of colliders in the field of B-meson anomalies.
We entertain the option of scalar leptoquarks to explain the anomalies in the semi-leptonic decays of $B$-mesons and the discrepancies in the lepton $(g-2)_l$'s including the recent results at Fermilab E989. The $R_{K^{(*)}}$ and $R_{D^{(*)}}$ anomalies can be accommodated by the specific couplings for triplet and singlet leptoquarks, respectively, subject to the bounds from $B\to Kν{\barν}$. We discuss the correlation between the leptonic signatures from leptoquarks such as $μ\to eγ$ and the electric dipole moment of electron and show that desirable neutrino masses can be generated dominantly…
Recently reported anomalies in various $B$ meson decays and also in the anomalous magnetic moment of muon $(g-2)_μ$ motivate us to consider a particular extension of the standard model incorporating new interactions in lepton and quark sectors simultaneously. Our minimal choice would be leptoquark. In particular, we take vector leptoquark ($U_1$) and comprehensively study all related observables including ${(g-2)_μ},\ R_{K^{(*)}},\ R_{D^{(*)}}$, $B \to (K) \ell \ell' $ where $\ell\ell'$ are various combinations of $μ$ and $τ$, and also lepton flavor violation in the $τ$ decays. We find that a …
We provide a combined explanation of the increasingly tantalizing $B$-meson anomalies, both in $R_{K^{(*)}}$ and $R_{D^{(*)}}$, in the Pati-Salam model with minimal matter content. This well-known model, based on the gauge group $SU(4)_{LC} \times SU(2)_L \times SU(2)_R$, naturally contains a variety of scalar leptoquarks with related and restricted couplings. In particular we show that the seesaw-motivated scalar leptoquark within the representation $(\overline{10}, 3, 1)$ and its right-handed parity partner $(\overline{10}, 1, 3)$ can solve both anomalies while making testable predictions fo…
The $ρ_2$ meson is the missing isovector member of the meson nonet with the quantum numbers $J^{PC}=2^{--}$. It belongs to the class of $ρ$-mesons such as the vector meson $ρ(770)$, the excited vector $ρ(1700)$ and the tensor $ρ_3(1690)$. Yet, despite the rich experimental and theoretical studies for other $ρ$-meson states, no resonance that could be assigned to the $ρ_2$ meson has been measured. In this note, we present the results for the mass and dominant decay channels of the $ρ_2$ meson within the extended Linear Sigma Model.
We explore the connection of the leptoquark solution to the recently reported $B$-meson anomalies with a mechanism of neutrino mass generation and a viable dark matter candidate. We consider a model consisting of two scalar leptoquarks and three generations of triplet fermions: neutrino masses are radiatively generated at the 3-loop level and, by imposing a discrete $Z_2$ symmetry, one can obtain a viable dark matter candidate. We discuss the constraints on the flavour structure of this model arising from numerous flavour observables. The rare decay $K\to π^+ν\barν$ and charged lepton flavour …
We present the color dipole phenomenology of diffractive photo- and electroproduction $γ^{*} N\to V(V') N$ of vector mesons ($V(1S) = ϕ^0, ω^0, ρ^0, J/Ψ, Υ$) and their radial excitations ($V'(2S) = ϕ', ω', ρ', Ψ', Υ'$). The main emphasis is related to light vector mesons. We discuss how the energy dependence of the color dipole cross section in conjuction with the node of the radial wave function of the $2S$ states can lead to an anomalous $Q^2$ and energy dependence of diffractive production of $V'(2S)$ vector mesons. The color dipole model predictions for $V(1S)$ light vector meson productio…
A possibility of explaining the anomalies in the semileptonic $B$-meson decay $B \to K^{*} μ\barμ$ has been explored in the framework of the gauged $U(1)_{μ-τ}$ symmetry. Apart from the muon anomalous magnetic moment and neutrino sector, we formulate the model starting with a valid Lagrangian and consider the constraints from the neutral meson mixings, the bounds on direct detection and the relic density of the bosonic dark matter candidate augmented to collider constraints. We search the parameter space, which accommodates the size of the anomaly of the $B \rightarrow K^* μ\bar μ$ decay, to s…
Significant deviations from the Standard Model are observed in semileptonic charged and neutral-current B-decays, the muon magnetic moment, and the extraction of the Cabibbo angle. We propose that these deviations point towards a coherent pattern of New Physics effects induced by two scalar mediators, a leptoquark $S_1$ and a charged singlet $ϕ^+$. While $S_1$ can provide solutions to charged-current $B$-decays and the muon magnetic moment, and $ϕ^+$ can accommodate the Cabibbo-angle anomaly independently, their one-loop level synergy can also address neutral-current $B$-decays. This framework…
In this work we study possible connections between $B$-meson anomalies and Kaon physics observables in the context of combined solutions with the singlet and triplet scalar leptoquarks $S_1$ and $S_3$. By assuming a flavor structure for the leptoquark couplings dictated by a minimally broken $U(2)^5$ flavor symmetry we can make a sharp connection between these two classes of observables. We find that the bound on $\mathcal{B}(K^+ \rightarrow π^+ νν)$ from NA62 puts already some tension in the model, while the present limits on $\mathcal{B}(K_L \rightarrow μ^+ μ^-)$ and $μ\to e$ conversion in n…
I will review simplified models with leptoquarks, which can explain recent anomalies in $B$-meson physics, and I will indicate the High-Luminosity LHC prospects for testing these theories, with a special focus to the efficient channel of pair leptoquark production in the $t\bar t$ plus missing energy final state.
Next-to-leading order corrections are an important aspect in the extraction of the Cabibbo- Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix elements $|V_{\text{cb}}|$ and $|V_{\text{ub}}|$ at $B$-factory experiments: virtual and real photons couple to all charged particles of the decay, alter the resulting decay dynamics and enhance the total decay rate. We present a phenomenologically motivated model and a Monte-Carlo implementation to study electromagnetic radiative corrections to differential and total decay rates for semileptonic $B$-meson decays into exclusive pseudoscalar and scalar final states and apply it t…
Several anomalies in the semileptonic B-meson decays such as $\mathcal{R}(D^{(*)})$ have been reported by $BABAR$, Belle, and LHCb collaborations recently. In this paper, we investigate the contributions of the charged Higgs bosons from the 3-3-1 models to the $\mathcal{R}(D^{(*)})$ anomalies. We find that, in a wide range of parameter space, the 3-3-1 models might give reasonable explanations to the $\mathcal{R}(D^{(*)})$ anomalies and other analogous anomalies of the B meson's semileptonic decays.
From only two elementary quarks ($ε_{u}(0) $ and $ε_{d}(0)) $ and the symmetries of the regular rhombic dodecahedron, using phenomenological formulae, we deduced the rest masses and the intrinsic quantum numbers (I, S, C, b and Q) of a quark spectrum. The five ground quarks of the four kinds of the deduced quarks are the five quarks of the current quark model. Then, from the quark spectrum, using sum laws and a phenomenological binding energy formula, we deduced a baryon spectrum. Finally, using the sum laws and a phenomenological binding energy formula, we deduce a meson spectrum from the qua…
We consider a simple extension of the Standard Model with flavor-dependent $U(1)'$, that has been proposed to explain some of $B$-meson anomalies recently reported at LHCb. The $U(1)'$ charge is chosen as a linear combination of anomaly-free $B_3-L_3$ and $L_μ-L_τ$. In this model, the flavor structure in the SM is restricted due to flavor-dependent $U(1)'$ charges, in particular, quark mixings are induced by a small vacuum expectation value of the extra Higgs doublet. As a result, it is natural to get sizable flavor-violating Yukawa couplings of heavy Higgs bosons involving the bottom quark. I…
We propose a model with flavor dependent gauged symmetries of $\displaystyle \prod_{i=1}^3 U(1)_{B_i-L_i}$ with $i$ the family indices. After formulating the renormalizable Yukawa Lagrangian, Higgs potential and kinetic term, we study the lepton sector based on a successful two-zero texture without introducing extra scalar bosons to avoid the dangerous Goldstone bosons. In particular, we discuss the muon related phenomenologies via additional neutral gauge bosons. In our numerical analysis, we explore the allowed parameter space, in which the anomaly of $B \to K^* \bar μμ$ can be explained.
We construct a phenomenological model which describes the dynamical chiral symmetry breaking (DCSB) of QCD vacuum and reproduces meson spectra. Quark condensates, the pion decay constant, and meson spectra are well reproduced by phenomenological interaction which consists of a linear confining potential, a Coulombic potential, and the 't Hooft determinant interaction. In this model, the 't Hooft determinant interaction plays a important role not to only η,η' mass difference, but other meson masses through DCSB.
Using phenomenological formulae, we deduce the masses and quantum numbers of the quarks from two elementary quarks ($ε_{u}$ and $ε_{d}$) first. Then using the sum laws and a binding energy formula, in terms of the qqq baryon model and SU(4), we deduce the masses and quantum numbers of the important baryons from the deduced quarks. At the same time, using the sum laws and a binding energy formula, in terms of the quark-antiquark bound state meson model, we deduce the masses and quantum numbers of the mesons from the deduced quarks. The deduced masses of the baryons and mesons are 98% consistent…
We discuss a possible interpretation of the f0(980) meson as a hadronic molecule - a bound state of K and bar K mesons. Using a phenomenological Lagrangian approach we calculate the strong f0(980) to pi pi and electromagnetic f0(980) to gamma gamma decays. The compositeness condition provides a self-consistent method to determine the coupling constant between f0 and its constituents, K and bar K. Form factors governing the decays of the f0(980) are calculated by evaluating the kaon loop integrals. The predicted f0(980) to pi pi and f0(980) to gamma gamma decay widths are in good agreement with…
Motivated by the recent experimental progress on the $R_{D^{(\ast)}}$ and $R_{K^{(\ast)}}$ anomalies in $B$-decays, we consider an extension of the Standard Model by a single vector leptoquark field. We study how one can achieve the required lepton flavour non-universality, starting from a priori universal gauge couplings. While the unitary coupling flavour structure, induced by the mass misalignment of quarks and leptons after $SU(2)_L$ breaking, does not allow to comply with stringent bounds from lepton flavour violating processes, we find that effectively non-unitary couplings, due to mixin…
In framework of the chiral perturbation theory we obtain the phenomenological relations between decay branches of rare radiative kaon to pion and leptons $K^+ \to π^+ l^+ l^-$ and $K^0_S \to π^0 l^+ l^-$ and meson form factors. The comparison of these results with the present day experimental data shows us that the ChPT relations for a charge kaon can determine meson form factors from already measured decay rates at high precision level. However, in the case of the neutral kaon decays $K^0 \to π^0 e^+ e^- (μ^+ μ^-)$ the formfactor data are known to a high precision than data on the differentia…
We discuss for some particular non supersymmetric theories a generalized symmetry that includes both the scale and axial transformations and leads to a single current that may contain also a pseudoscalar term. The method, inspired by the superconformal anomalies has important application for low energy effective models where it allows the introduction of a single complex glueball field with a scalar and a pseudoscalar component on the same footing with the complex meson nonets fields made of quarks. Both axial and trace and axial anomalies are satisfied in accordance to the meson structure and…
Using phenomenological formulae, we can deduce the rest masses and intrinsic quantum numbers (I, S, C, B and Q) of quarks, baryons and mesons from only one unflavored elementary quark family. The deduced quantum numbers match experimental results exactly, and the deduced rest masses are 98.5% (or 97%) consistent with experimental results for baryons (or mesons). This paper predicts some quarks [d_{S}(773), d_{S}(1933) and u_{C}(6073)], baryons [$Λ_{c}(6599)$, $Λ_{b)(9959)$] and mesons [D(6231), B(9502)]. PACS: 12.39.-x; 14.65.-q; 14.20.-c. Keywords: phenomenological, beyond the standard model.
We investigate models of a heavy neutral gauge boson Z' which could explain anomalies in B meson decays reported by the LHCb experiment. In these models, the Z' boson couples mostly to third generation fermions. We show that bottom quarks arising from gluon splitting can fuse into Z' as an essential production mechanism at the LHC, thereby allowing to probe these models. The study is performed within a generic framework for explaining the B anomalies that can be accommodated in well motivated models. The flavor violating b s coupling associated with Z' in such models produces lower bound on th…
We assume that the quark-flavor coefficients matrix of the semileptonic operators addressing the neutral-current B-meson anomalies has rank-one, i.e. it can be described by a single vector in quark-flavor space. By correlating the observed anomalies to other flavor and high-$p_T$ observables, we constrain its possible directions and we show that a large region of the parameter space of this framework will be explored by flavor data from the NA62, KOTO, LHCb and Belle II experiments.
The application of the tensor formalism of the heavy quark effective theory (HQET) at leading order to strong decays of heavy hadrons is presented. Comparisons between experimental and theoretical predictions of ratios of decay rates for B mesons, D mesons and kaons are given. The application of HQET to strange mesons presents some encouraging results. The spin-flavor symmetry is used to predict some decay rates that have not yet been measured.
Motivated by the recent LHCb announcement of a $3.1σ$ violation of lepton-flavor universality in the ratio $R_K=Γ(B\to Kμ^+μ^-)/Γ(B\to K e^+ e^-)$, we present an updated, comprehensive analysis of the flavor anomalies seen in both neutral-current ($b\to s\ell^+\ell^-$) and charged-current ($b\to cτ\barν$) decays of $B$ mesons. Our study starts from a model-independent effective field-theory approach and then considers both a simplified model and a UV-complete extension of the Standard Model featuring a vector leptoquark $U_1$ as the main mediator of the anomalies. We show that the new LHCb dat…
We calculate the nucleon strangeness $y_N$ in the chiral quark model and the meson cloud model. With the internal relation between the sigma term of $π$$N$ ($σ_{πN}$) and $y_N$, we present the results of $σ_{πN}$ in these two models. Our calculations show that $y_N$ from the chiral quark model is significant larger than that from the meson cloud model, whereas the difference of $σ_{πN}$ between the two models is relatively small. We also present the results of $σ_{K N}$ and $σ_{ηN}$, which could be determined by $σ_{πN}$ and $y_N$ from their definition in the current algebra, and find that the…
We fit the ${\cal CKM}$-matrix to all recent data with the following free parameters: three mixing angles, the CP-violating angle $δ$ in the Maiani parametrisation, the top quark mass $m_t$, and the product $f_B{\cal B}_{\B}^{1/2}$, where $f_B$ is the $B$-meson decay parameter and ${\cal B}_{\B}$ is the bag parameter. Our fits span a contiguous region in the $(f_B{\cal B}_{\B}^{1/2},\ \cosδ)$--plane, limited by $0.117\lsim f_B{\cal B}_{\B}^{1/2}/{\rm GeV}\lsim 0.231$ and --0.95 $\lsim$ $\cosδ$ $\lsim$ 0.70. The parameters $f_B{\cal B}_{\B}^{1/2}$ and $\cosδ$ are strongly positively correlated.
Motivated by flavor non-universality and anomalies in semi-leptonic B-meson decays, we present a general and systematic discussion about how to construct anomaly-free $U(1)'$ gauge theories based on an extended standard model with only three right-handed neutrinos. If all standard model fermions are vector-like under this new gauge symmetry, the most general family non-universal charge assignments, $(a,b,c)$ for three-generation quarks and $(d,e,f)$ for leptons, need satisfy just one condition to be anomaly-free, $3(a+b+c)=-(d+e+f)$. Any assignment can be linear combinations of five independen…
The QCD-based operator-product-expansion technique is systematically applied to the study of charmed meson lifetimes. We stress that it is crucial to take into account the momentum of the spectator light quark of charmed mesons, otherwise the destructive Pauli-interference effect in $D^+$ decays will lead to a negative decay width for the $D^+$. We have applied the QCD sum rule approach to estimate the hadronic matrix elements of color-singlet and color-octet 4-quark operators relevant to nonleptonic inclusive $D$ decays. The lifetime of $D_s^+$ is found to be longer than that of $D^0$ because…
Recent anomalies in $B\to K^{(*)}\ell\ell$ meson decays are consistent with exchange of a heavy $Z'$ vector boson. Here we try to connect such new physics to understanding the origin of flavor, by gauging generation number. Phenomenological and theoretical considerations suggest that the smallest viable flavor symmetry (not including any extra U(1) factors) is chiral ${\rm SU(3)}_L\times{\rm SU(3)}_R$, which acts only on generation indices and does not distinguish between quarks and leptons. Spontaneous breaking of the symmetry gives rise to the standard model Yukawa matrices, and masses for t…
We discuss applications of the perturbative QCD approach in the exclusive non-leptonic two body B-meson decays. We briefly review its ingredients and some important theoretical issues on the factorization approaches. PQCD results are compatible with present experimantal data for the charmless B-meson decays. We predict the possibility of large direct CP asymmetry in $B^0 \to π^{+}π^{-}$ $(23\pm7 %)$ and $B^0\to K^{+}π^{-}$ $(-17\pm5%)$. We also investigate the Branching ratios, CP asymmetry and isopsin symmetry breaking in $B \to (K^*/ρ) γ$ decays and look for the possible new physics contribu…
We interpret anomalies, deviations, from the standard model as being in fact due to effects not given by perturbation, because the top Yukawa coupling is after all so large that not by perturbation effects become important. Most of the anomalies found have the character of signaling violation of lepton universality. There are four lepton universality violating anomalies known at present, which we shall fit with one overall scale parameter to order of magnitude accuracy. One can look at the picture that we have found - due to the rather strong top Yukawa coupling - as a new sector of strongly i…
There are many phenomenological potentials using different techniques to describe the spectroscopy of the quarkonium systems like charmonium, bottomonium, Bc meson systems. In the present work, we choose a phenomenological potential (linear, Yukawa, and harmonic potentials) in the framework of the nonrelativistic Schrodinger equation with relativistic corrections using the Nikiforov-Uvarov (NU) method. We obtained the eigenfunction and eigenvalue comparing the results with the available experimental data. The results are in good agreement with the available experimental data.
We discuss the effect of $η$--$η'$ mixing and of axial current anomalies on various decay processes. We describe the 2$γ$ decays of $η$ and $η'$, the radiative decays of low-lying vector mesons as well as the decays $η\to 3π$, $J/ψ\toηγ$ and $J/ψ\toη'γ$ in one unified framework, in which they are related to the electromagnetic and strong axial current anomalies, respectively. We also discuss briefly the enhancement of $η'$ in $D_s$ decays and suggest a possible relation to gluon-mediated processes. The importance of the decays of the glueball candidates $f_0(1500)$ and $ f_0(1590)$ into $ηη'$ …

In this work, we study all the observed $a_2$ states and group them into the $a_2$ meson family, where their total and partial decay widths are calculated via the quark pair creation model. Taking into account the present experimental data, we further give the corresponding phenomenological analysis, which is valuable to test whether each $a_2$ state can be assigned into the $a_2$ meson family. What is more important is that the prediction of their decay behaviors will be helpful for future experimental study of the $a_2$ states.
We estimate the ground state masses of the heavy hybrid mesons using a phenomenological QCD-type potential. 0^{- -},1^{- -},0^{- +},1^{- +} and 0^{+ -} J^{PC} states are considered.
Several measurements of B-meson decay observables show deviations from Standard Model (SM) predictions, some of them hinting at violation of lepton flavour universality (LFU). I discusses how the anomalies in rare B decays can be explained by partial compositeness. Partial compositeness is a key ingredient of models with a composite Higgs boson and generically leads to violation of LFU. After presenting a simple model with partial compositeness that is able to explain the anomalies in rare B decays, the flavour phenomenology of a minimal UV completion of a composite Higgs model with partial co…
Diffractive meson production at HERA offers interesting possibilities to investigate diffractive processes and thus to learn something about the properties of the pomeron. The most succesful phenomenological description of the pomeron so far assumes it to couple like a $C = +1$ isoscalar photon to single quarks. This coupling leads, however, to problems for exclusive diffractive reactions. We propose a new phenomenological pomeron vertex, which leads to very good fits to the known data, but avoids the problems of the old vertex.
We apply a previously developed scheme to consistently include the twist-3 distribution amplitudes for transversely polarized rho meson in order to evaluate, in the framework of kT factorization, the helicity amplitudes for exclusive leptoproduction of a light vector meson, at leading order in alphaS. We compare our results with high energy experimental data for the ratios of helicity amplitudes T11/T00 and T01/T00 and get a good description of the data.
In this note, we discuss the impact of the recent Belle result on the various theoretical explanations of the $R_D$ and $R_{D^*}$ anomalies. The pure tensor explanation, which was strongly disfavoured by the measurements of $F_L^{D^*}$ and high-$p_T$ $p \, p \to τ\, ν$ searches before Moriond, is now completely allowed because of reduction of the experimental world-average. Moreover, the pure right-chiral vector solution (involving right-chiral neutrinos) has now moved into the $2σ$ allowed range of the LHC $p \, p \to τ\, ν$ searches. We also critically re-examine the bound on $\mathcal{B}(B_…
Meson-meson amplitudes are important on their own and also play key roles in analyses of heavy-meson and tau decays. In this work we propose a new phenomenological model suited to all $SU(3)$ mesonic two-body final state interactions up to energies around 2 GeV. It is aimed at replacing those entering the old isobar model, produced in the 1960's, long before the development of QCD. The only similarity between our new proposal and amplitudes used in the isobar model concern vector resonances in the elastic regime. In other situations, especially those involving scalar resonances and coupled cha…
We investigate a new constraint on new-physics interpretations of the anomalies observed in $B\to D^{(*)}τν$ decays making use of the lifetime of the $B_c^-$ meson. A constraint is obtained by demanding that the rate for $B_c^-\toτ^-\barν$ does not exceed the fraction of the total width that is allowed by the calculation of the lifetime in the standard model. This leads to a very strong bound on new-physics scenarios involving scalar operators since they lift the slight, but not negligible, chiral suppression of the $B_c^-\toτ^-\barν$ amplitude in the standard model. The new constraint renders…
Motivated by the result of the Muon g-2 experiment and the long-standing anomalies in semileptonic $B$ meson decays, we systematically build a class of minimal models that can address both experimental results thanks to the contributions of a set of new fields that include a thermal Dark Matter candidate.
Motivated by 3.9 sigma evidence of a CP-violating phase beyond the standard model in the like-sign dimuon asymmetry reported by DO, we examine the potential for two Higgs doublet models (2HDMs) to achieve successful electroweak baryogenesis (EWBG) while explaining the dimuon anomaly. Our emphasis is on the minimal flavour violating 2HDM, but our numerical scans of model parameter space include type I and type II models as special cases. We incorporate relevant particle physics constraints, including electroweak precision data, b to s gamma, the neutron electric dipole moment, R_b, and perturba…
In this paper, we investigate phenomenologically two-body weak decays of the bottom mesons emitting pseudoscalar and tensor mesons. Decay amplitudes are obtained using the factorization scheme in the improved ISGW II model. Branching ratios for the CKM-favored and CKM-suppressed decays are calculated.
We study transition form factors for radiative and rare semi-leptonic B-meson decays into light pseudoscalar or vector mesons, combining theoretical constraints and phenomenological information from Lattice QCD, light-cone sum rules, and dispersive bounds. We pay particular attention to form factor parameterisations which are based on the so-called series expansion, and study the related systematic uncertainties on a quantitative level. In this context, we also provide the NLO corrections to the correlation function between two flavour-changing tensor currents, which enters the unitarity const…
