This is our regular research in the field of cyclic O-C changes and third components. In this article the results of four new stars investigation is described. These stars are: BD And, SV Cam, V0836 Cyg and XZ CMi. All of them have cyclic O-C curve with linear (BD And, SV Cam and XZ CMi) or parabolic trend (V0836 Cyg). We computed the mass transfer rate, minima possible mass of the third component and their errors for each of the researched stars.

A multi-epoch XMM-Newton campaign on the core of the massive Cyg OB2 association

Cyg OB2 is one of the most massive associations of O-type stars in our Galaxy. Long-term photometric and spectroscopic observations of the near-contact binary KR Cygni

We present the multi-color, five-year light curves and the first radial velocities of the near-contact binary system KR Cyg. We derived the masses of the components as 2.88$\pm$0.20 M$_{\odot}$ and 1.26$\pm$0.07 M$_{\odot}$ and the radii as 2.59$\pm$0.06 R$_{\odot}$ and 1.80$\pm$0.04 R$_{\odot}$. Analyses of the UBVR light curves and the radial velocities indicate that none of the components exactly fill their corresponding Roche lobes. Orbital period analysis of eclipsing Z Cam-type Dwarf Nova EM Cygni: Evidence of magnetic braking and a third body

Combining with our newest CCD times of light minimum of EM Cygni, all 45 available times of light minimum including 7 data with large scatters are compiled and the updated O-C analysis is made. The bestfit for the O-C diagram of EM Cygni is a quadratic-plus-sinusoidal fit. The secular orbital period decrease rate -2.5(\pm 0.3)x10^{-11} s s^{-1} means that magnetic braking effect with a rate of mass loss via stellar wind, 2.3x10^{-10}Msunyr^{-1}, is needed for explaining the observed orbital period decrease. A White Light Megaflare on the dM4.5e Star YZ CMi

On UT 2009 January 16, we observed a white light megaflare on the dM4.5e star YZ CMi as part of a long-term spectroscopic flare-monitoring campaign to constrain the spectral shape of optical flare continuum emission. Simultaneous U-band photometric and 3350A-9260A spectroscopic observations were obtained during 1.3 hours of the flare decay. The event persisted for more than 7 hours and at flare peak, the U-band flux was almost 6 magnitudes brighter than in the quiescent state. Mode identification in the high-amplitude δ Scuti star V2367 Cyg

We report on a multi-site photometric campaign on the high-amplitude $δ$ Scuti star V2367 Cyg in order to determine the pulsation modes. We also used high-dispersion spectroscopy to estimate the stellar parameters and projected rotational velocity. Time series multicolour photometry was obtained during a 98-d interval from five different sites. Long-lasting standstill and fading episode in the IW And star V507 Cyg

We studied the IW And star V507 Cyg using ASAS-SN data, ZTF data and our snapshot photometry. The star has been found to be in a long standstill in 2020 May-2022 March (and it still continues now). Such long-lasting standstills have been found in a few other IW And stars in the past literature. We found that this system was systematically fainter by 0.3 mag between 2018 March and 2019 January when it showed dwarf nova-type variations, including IW And-type states. Three Z Cam-Type Dwarf Novae Exhibiting IW And-Type Phenomenon

I found that V507 Cyg, IM Eri and FY Vul are Z Cam-type dwarf novae and they showed sequences of standstill terminated by brightening, in contrast to fading in ordinary Z Cam stars, followed by damping oscillation. A High Angular Resolution Survey of Massive Stars in Cygnus OB2: $JHK$ Adaptive Optics Results from the Gemini Near-InfraRed Imager

We present results of a high angular resolution survey of massive OB stars in the Cygnus OB2 association that we conducted with the NIRI camera and ALTAIR adaptive optics system of the Gemini North telescope. We observed 74 O- and early B-type stars in Cyg OB2 in the $JHK$ infrared bands in order to detect binary and multiple companions. The observations are sensitive to equal-brightness pairs at separations as small as 0.08 \arcsec, and progressively fainter companions are detectable out to $Δ$ K = 9 mag at a separation of 2 arcsec. Optical Studies of Twenty Longer-Period Cataclysmic Binaries

We obtained time-series radial velocity spectroscopy of twenty cataclysmic variable stars, with the aim of determining orbital periods P_orb. All of the stars reported here prove to have P_orb > 3.5 h. For sixteen of the stars, these are the first available period determinations, and for the remaining four (V709 Cas, AF Cam, V1062 Tau, and RX J2133+51) we use new observations to improve the accuracy of previously-published periods. Context: Nonthermal radio emission in massive stars is expected to arise in wind-wind collisions occurring inside a binary system. The spectacular evolution of Supernova 1996al over 15 years: a low energy explosion of a stripped massive star in a highly structured environment

Spectrophotometry of SN 1996al carried out throughout 15 years is presented. The early photometry suggests that SN 1996al is a Linear type-II supernova, with an absolute peak of Mv ~ -18.2 mag. Early spectra present broad, asymmetric Balmer emissions, with super-imposed narrow lines with P-Cygni profile, and He I features with asymmetric, broad emission components. The analysis of the line profiles shows that the H and He broad components form in the same region of the ejecta. The Orbit of the Close Companion of Polaris: Hubble Space Telescope Imaging 2007 to 2014

As part of a program to determine dynamical masses of Cepheids, we have imaged the nearest and brightest Cepheid, Polaris, with the Hubble Space Telescope Wide Field Planetary Camera 2 and Wide Field Camera 3. Observations were obtained at three epochs between 2007 and 2014. In these images, as in HST frames obtained in 2005 and 2006, which we discussed in a 2008 paper, we resolve the close companion Polaris Ab from the Cepheid Polaris Aa.
