In the context of the $B-L$ Supersymmetric Standard Model (BLSSM), we investigate the consistency of a light Higgs boson, with mass around $90-95$ GeV, with the results of a search performed by the CMS collaboration in the di-photon channel at the integrated luminosity of 35.9 fb$^{-1}$ and $\sqrt s$ = 13 TeV.
We calculate Higgs decay rates into γγ and Zγ in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) and (B-L) Supersymmetric Standard Model (BLSSM) by allowing for contributions from light staus and charginos. We show that sizable departures are possible from the SM predictions for the 125 GeV state and that they are testable during run 2 at the Large Hadron Collider. Furthermore, we illustrate how a second light scalar Higgs signal in either or both these decay modes can be accessed at the CERN machine rather promptly within the BLSSM, a possibility instead precluded to the MSSM owing to the mu…
We investigate the predictions on the mass spectrum and Higgs boson decays in the supersymmetric standard model extended by U(1)_B-L symmetry (BLSSM). The model requires two singlet Higgs fields, which are responsible for the radiative breaking of U(1)_B-L symmetry. It predicts degenerate right-handed neutrino masses (1.7-2.2 TeV) as well as the right-handed sneutrinos of mass <~ 4 TeV. The presence of right-handed neutrinos and sneutrinos trigger the baryon and lepton number violation processes, until they decouple from the Standard model particles. Besides, the model predicts rather heavy co…
We study the scope of the Large Hadron Collider in accessing a neutral Higgs boson of the $B-L$ Supersymmetric Standard Model. After assessing the surviving parameter space configurations following the Run 1 data taking, we investigate the possibilities of detecting this object during Run 2. For the model configurations in which the mixing between such a state and the discovered Standard Model-like Higgs boson is non-negligible, there exist several channels enabling its discovery over a mass range spanning from $\approx 140$ to $\approx$ 500 GeV. For a lighter Higgs state, with mass of order 1…
We analyze the Lepton Flavor Violating (LFV) Higgs decay h -> tau mu in three supersymmetric models: Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM), Supersymmetric Seesaw Model (SSM), and Supersymmetric B-L model with Inverse Seesaw (BLSSM-IS). We show that in generic MSSM, with non-universal slepton masses and/or trilinear couplings, it is not possible to enhance BR(h -> tau mu) without violating the experimental bound on the BR(tau -> mu gamma). In SSM, where flavor mixing is radiatively generated, the LFV process mu -> e gamma strictly constrains the parameter space and the maximum value of B…
Motivated by a $\sim 3σ$ excess recorded by the CMS experiment at the LHC around a mass of order $\sim 137$ GeV in $ZZ\to 4l$ and $γγ$ samples, we analyse the discovery potential of a second neutral Higgs boson in the Supersymmetric $B-L$ extension of the Standard Model (BLSSM) at the CERN machine. We confirm that a double Higgs peak structure can be generated in this framework, with CP-even Higgs boson masses at $\sim125$ GeV and $\sim137$ GeV, unlike the case of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM).

Search for invisible final states produced at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) by new physics scenarios are normally carried out resorting to a variety of probes emerging from the initial state, in the form of single-jet, -photon and -$Z$ boson signatures. These are particularly effective for models of Supersymmetry (SUSY) in presence of $R$-parity conservation, owing to the presence in their spectra of a stable neutralino as dark matter candidate. We assume here as theoretical framework Supersymmetric ($B-L$) extension of the Standard Model (BLSSM), wherein a mediator for invisible decays can …
Upon assuming the $B-L$ Supersymmetric Standard Model (BLSSM) as theoretical framework accommodating a multi-Higgs sector, we assess the scope of the High Luminosity Large Hadron Collider (HL-LHC) in accessing charged Higgs bosons ($H^\pm$) produced in pairs from $Z'$ decays. We show that, by pursuing both di-jet and tau-neutrino decays, several signals can be established for $H^\pm$ masses ranging from about $M_{W}$ to above $m_t$ and $Z'$ masses between 2.5 TeV and 3.5 TeV. The discovery can be attained, even in a background free environment in some cases, owing to the fact that the very mas…
A second light Higgs boson, with mass of approximately 145 GeV, is predicted by non-minimal Supersymmetric models. This new particle can account for an apparent \sim 3 σexcess recorded by the CMS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) during Run 1. We show how this can be explained in a particular realisation of these scenarios, the (B-L) Supersymmetric Model (BLSSM), which also has other captivating features, like offering an explanation for neutrino masses and relieving the small hierarchy problem of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM).
Motivated by the tension between the Higgs mass and muon g-2 in minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM), we analyze the muon g-2 in supersymmertic B-L extension of the standard model (BLSSM) with inverse seesaw mechanism. In this model, the Higgs mass receives extra important radiative corrections proportional to large neutrino Yukawa coupling. We point out that muon g-2 also gets significant contribution, due to the constructive interferences of light neutralino effects. The light neutralinos are typically the MSSM Bino like and the supersymmetric partner of U(1)_B-L gauge boson (B'-ino)…
We study the effects of heavy Higgs bosons on the top-pair production process at photon linear colliders. The interference patterns between the resonant Higgs-production amplitudes and the continuum QED amplitudes are examined. The patterns tell us not only the CP nature of the Higgs bosons but also the phase of the $γγ$--Higgs vertex which gives new information about the Higgs couplings to new charged particles.
Within 2HDM, sizable deviations of the triple Higgs coupling and the two-photon Higgs width from their SM values can have a common origin. If SM-like scenario for the observed Higgs boson is realized, mentioned deviations can be either visible simultaneously or not observable at the LHC.}
We examine the potential for detecting and studying Higgs bosons at a photon-photon collider facility associated with a future linear collider. Our study incorporates realistic $\gam\gam$ luminosity spectra based on the most probable available laser technology. Results include detector simulations. We study the cases of: a) a SM-like Higgs boson; b) the heavy MSSM Higgs bosons; c) a Higgs boson with no $WW/ZZ$ couplings from a general two Higgs doublet model.
We calculate the cross section of Higgs boson pair production at a photon collider in the two Higgs doublet model. We focus on the scenario in which the lightest CP even Higgs boson ($h$) has the standard model like couplings to the gauge bosons. We take into account the one-loop correction to the $hhh$ coupling as well as additional one-loop diagrams due to charged Higgs bosons to the $γγ\to hh$ helicity amplitudes. It is found that the full cross section can be enhanced by both these effects to a considerable level. We discuss the impact of these corrections on the $hhh$ coupling measurement…
Analysis of the 125 GeV Higgs boson decay rates to two photons and Z plus photon in the Inert Doublet Model is presented. We study the constraints on the masses of the scalars (in particular the Dark Matter candidate) and their couplings to the Higgs boson, coming from the h -> γγdata and confront them with the WMAP measurements of the Dark Matter relic density.
Here we review potential of the Photon Collider for study of Higgs physics after discovery of the SM-like Higgs boson at the LHC. In general, the Photon Collider will fill in the LHC and ILC results, giving in some cases unique information which cannot be obtained at other machines.
A study of the measurement of the two photon decay width times the branching ratio of a Higgs boson with the mass of 120 GeV in photon - photon collisions is presented, assuming a gamma-gamma integrated luminosity of 80 fb^-1 in the high energy part of the spectrum. The analysis is based on the reconstruction of the Higgs events produced in the gamma gamma --> H process, followed by the decay of the Higgs into a bbbar pair. A statistical error of the measurement of the two-photon width times the branching ratio of the Higgs boson decaying into b-quarks is found to be 2.1% for one year of data …
We evaluate the partial widths for internal conversions in the Higgs decays to two photons. For the Higgs masses of interest at LHC in the range of 100-150 GeV, the conversions to pairs of fermions represent significant fraction of Higgs decays.
Little Higgs theory naturally predicts a light Higgs boson whose most important discovery channel at the LHC is the di-photon signal $pp\to h\to γγ$. In this work we perform a comparative study for this signal in some typical little Higgs models, namely the littlest Higgs model (LH), two littlest Higgs models with T-parity (named LHT-I and LHT-II) and the simplest little Higgs modes (SLH). We find that compared with the Standard Model prediction, the di-photon signal rate is always suppressed and the suppression extent can be quite different for different models. The suppression is mild ($\lsi…
We explore the Higgs-Z-photon coupling in the Minimal Composite Higgs Model with vector and axial resonances. The electroweak precision measurement, i.e. S and T, is estimated for this model. We calculate the signal strength for Higgs decay into Z-photon and notable enhancement is found in certain EWPT allowed parameter region.
The decay of the standard model Higgs boson into a single photon and a vector unparticle through a one-loop process is studied. For an intermediate mass Higgs boson, this single photon plus unparticle mode can have a branching ratio comparable with the two-photon discovery mode. The emitted photon has a continuous energy spectrum encoding the nature of the recoil unparticle. It can be measured in precision studies of the Higgs boson after its discovery.
We study the effect of heavy neutral Higgs bosons on the top pair production process at photon linear colliders. The interference patterns betwenn the resonant Higgs production amplitudes and the continuum QED amplitudes are examined. The patterns are sensitive to the phase of the photon-photon-Higgs vertex which is a good probe of new charged particles.
We study double Higgs production in photon-photon collisions as a probe of the new dynamics of Higgs interactions in the framework of two Higgs Doublet Models. We analyze neutral Higgs bosons production and decay in the fusion processes, $γγ\to S_iS_j$, $S_i=h^0, H^0, A^0$, and show that both $h^0h^0$ and $A^0A^0$ production can be enhanced by threshold effects in the region $E_{γγ}\approx 2 m_{H\pm}$. Resonant effects due to the heavy Higgs, $H^0$, can also play a role in the cross section enhancement when it is allowed to decay to two light CP-even $h^0$ or to two light CP-odd $A^0$ scalars.…
We present a comprehensive analysis on the MSSM Higgs sector CP violation at photon colliders including the chargino contributions as well as the contributions of other charged particles. The chargino loop contributions can be important for the would-be CP odd Higgs production at photon colliders. Polarization asymmetries are indispensable in determining the CP properties of neutral Higgs bosons.
We show that the $B-L$ Supersymmetric Standard Model with Inverse Seesaw (BLSSMIS) provides new Dark Matter (DM) candidates (lightest right-handed sneutrino and lightest $B-L$ neutralino) with mass of order few hundreds GeV, while most of other SUSY spectrum can be quite heavy, consistently with the current Large Hadron Collider (LHC) constraints. We emphasize that the thermal relic abundance and direct detection experiments via relic neutralino scattering with nuclei impose stringent constraints on the $B-L$ neutralinos. These constraints can be satisfied by few points in the parameter space …
The Standard Model (SM) of the electroweak has proven to be successful in describing all the available precision experimental data. However, the Higgs mechanism, responsible for the electroweak symmetry breaking in the SM, still remains one of the most important open questions of the theory. The effect of new operators that give rise to anomalous Higgs boson coupling to two photons (HAA) is examined in the two-photon processes AA -> H \to bb, AA,W+W-,ZZ at a high energy linear e+ e- collider (NLC).
This study investigates the potential of a photon collider for measuring the two photon partial width times the branching ratio of a light Higgs boson. The analysis is based on the reconstruction of the Higgs events produced in the gamma gamma -> h process, followed by Higgs decay into a b bbar pair. A statistical error of the measurement of the two-photon width times the b bbar branching ratio of the Higgs boson is found to be 1.7% with an integrated luminosity of 80 fb^-1 in the high energy part of the spectrum.
We study the production and signatures of doubly charged Higgs bosons in the process γγH^{- -} H^{++} at the e^-e^+ International Linear Collider and CERN Linear Collider, where the intermediate photons are given by the Weizs[a\ddot]cker-Willians and laser backscattering distributions.
The recent calculation of the next-to-leading order electroweak corrections to the decay of the Standard Model Higgs boson to two photons in the framework of the complex-mass scheme is briefly summarized.
We demonstrate a measurement of the Higgs boson mass by the method of energy scanning at photon-photon colliders, using the high energy edge of the photon spectrum. With an integrated luminosity of 50 $\rm{fb^{-1}}$ it is possible to measure the standard model Higgs mass to within 110 MeV in photon-photon collisions for m_h=100 GeV. As for the total width of the Higgs boson, the statistical error $ΔΓ_h/Γ_{h \rm{SM}}=0.06$ is expected for m_h=100 GeV, if both $Γ(h\toγγ)$ and $Γ(h\to b\bar{b})$ are fixed at the predicted standard model value.
In this review we demonstrate physics potential of a photon linear collider by studying the neutral Higgs-boson sector of the MSSM in which interesting CP-violating Higgs mixing could arise via radiative corrections.
We calculate the cross section of the lightest Higgs boson pair production at the Photon Linear Collider in the two Higgs doublet model. We focus on the scenario in which the lightest Higgs boson has the standard model like couplings to gauge bosons. We take into account the one-loop correction to the $hhh$ coupling as well as additional one-loop diagrams due to charged bosons to the $γγ\to hh$ helicity amplitudes. We discuss the impact of these corrections on the $hhh$ coupling measurement at the Photon Linear Collider.
We study single Higgs boson production in gamma gamma collisions proceeding via the hadronic content of the photon. These processes complement previous studies of pair and single Higgs production at e^+e^- colliders. For SM Higgs masses of current theoretical interest, the resolved photon contributions are non-negligible in precision cross section measurements. The charged Higgs cross sections are not competitive with the gamma gamma -> H^+ H^- process and at best might offer some information about quark-Higgs couplings. Finally, resolved photon production of the heavier Higgs bosons, H^0 and …
Feasibility of a measurement of the partial decay width of the intermediate-mass Higgs boson into two photons at a photon-photon collider is studied by a simulation. The QCD radiative correction for quark pair background processes is taken into account for the realistic background estimation. It is found that the two-photon decay width can be measured with the statistical error of 7.6 % with about one year of experiment. The impact of the measurement of the two-photon decay width to look for the new physics beyond is demonstrated.
We consider a three Higgs doublet model with an $S_3$ symmetry in which beside the SM-like doublet there are two fermiophobic doublets. Due to the new charged scalars there is an enhancement in the two-photon decay while the other channels have the same decay widths that the SM neutral Higgs. The fermiophobic scalars are mass degenerated unless soft terms breaking the $S_3$ symmetry are added.
The Higgs sector of the Standard Model and of the Two Higgs Doublet Extensions of SM, MSSM and the general 2HDM, can be tested in processes involving photons. A short review of the corresponding results is presented.
The CP properties of Higgs bosons can be probed through their s-channel resonance productions via photon-photon collisions by use of circularly and/or linearly polarized backscattered laser photons at a TeV-scale linear e^+ e^- collider. Exploiting this powerful tool, we investigate in detail the Higgs sector of the minimal supersymmetric Standard Model with explicit CP violation.
We investigate the sensitivity of the heavy ion mode of the LHC to Higgs boson and Radion production via photon-photon fusion through the analysis of the processes photon to photon photon, photon photon to b anti-b, and photon photon to g g in peripheral heavy ion collisions. We suggest cuts to improve the Higgs and Radion signal over standard model background ratio and determine the capability of LHC to detect these particles production.
We analyze the prospects of the Tevatron for finding a Higgs boson in the two photon decay mode. We conclude that the Standard Model (SM) Higgs boson will likely not be discovered in this mode. However, we motivate several theories beyond the SM, including the MSSM, that predict a Higgs boson with enhanced branching fractions into photons, and calculate the luminosity needed to discover a general Higgs boson at the Tevatron by a two-photon invariant mass peak at large transverse momentum. We find that a high luminosity Tevatron will play a significant role in discovering or constraining these …
We investigate the sensitivity of the heavy ion mode of the LHC to anomalous Higgs boson couplings to photons, H-photon-photon, through the analysis of the processes photon photon to b anti-b and photon photon to photon photon in peripheral heavy ion collisions. We suggest cuts to improve the signal over background ratio and determine the capability of LHC to impose bounds on anomalous couplings by searching for a Higgs boson signal in these modes.
In this study, the charged Higgs pair production is analyzed for the minimal extension of the standard model called two-higgs-doublet model. The process $γγ\rightarrow H^+H^-$ is calculated at the tree level for the ILC and the numerical analysis is presented for various parameters. The production rate of the charged Higgs boson pair as a function of center-of-mass (CM) energy and the differential cross section as a function of angle between photon and positive charged Higgs boson is presented. The cross section gets high at the low charged Higgs mass and low CM energies. The total integrated …
In this study, the direct pair production of the pseudoscalar Higgs boson at a photon-photon collision is analyzed in the context of two Higgs doublet model, taking account the complete one-loop contributions. In order to illustrate the effect of the new physics, four benchmark points scenarios, which are consistent with theoretical and current experimental constraints, are chosen in the type-I of THDM with an exact alignment limit. In these benchmark points, the CP even lightest Higgs boson ($h^0$) have the Standard Model like couplings to the gauge bosons. The effect of individual contributi…
The amplitude for Higgs decay to two photons is calculated in renormalizable and unitary gauges using dimensional regularization at intermediate steps. The result is finite, gauge independent, and in agreement with previously published results. The large Higgs mass limit is examined using the Goldstone-boson equivalence theorem as a check on the use of dimensional regularization and to explain the absence of decoupling.
We use the POMWIG Monte Carlo generator to predict the cross-sections for double diffractive higgs and di-photon production at the Tevatron and LHC. We find that the higgs production cross-section is too small to be observable at Tevatron energies, and even at the LHC observation would be difficult. Double diffractive di-photon production, however, should be observable within one year of Tevatron Run II.
We show how the well studied $γγ$ inclusive Higgs signal can be used at the Large Hadron Collider to test Gauge Mediated Supersymmetry Breaking scenarios in which a rather heavy Higgs boson decays into two light neutralinos, the latter yielding two photons and missing (transverse) energy
We study measurement of the CP property of the Higgs boson at a photon linear collider. One method where we take advantage of interference between Higgs-production and background amplitudes is proposed. A broad peak of the photon energy spectrum is helpful in observing the energy dependence of the interference effects. Numerical results for the process $γγ\to t \bar{t}$ are shown as an example.
We follow up on our discussion of the exact quark-mass dependence of the Higgs-gluon form factor at three loops in QCD (arXiv:2001.03008) and turn our attention to the closely related Higgs-photon form factor. Similarly to our previous work, we intend to examine the form factor for the decay of a Higgs-boson with variable mass into two photons at the three-loop level in QCD. The set of master integrals is known numerically due to prior work on the Higgs-gluon form factor and is exploited to obtain expansions around the threshold as well as in the high-energy limit. Our results may be utilised …
The Higgs production in the two-photon fusion process is investigated where one of the photons is off-shell while the other one is on-shell. This process is realized in either electron-positron collision or electron-photon collision where the scattered electron or positron is detected (single tagging) and described by the transition form factor. We calculate the contributions to the transition form factor of the Higgs boson coming from top-quark loops and W-boson loops. We then study the $Q^2$ dependence of each contribution to the total transition form factor and also of the differential cros…
The heavy neutral Higgs bosons H, A in the minimal supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model can be produced as single resonances at high-energy gamma gamma colliders. We have studied the prospects of the search for these particles in b\bar b and neutralino-pair final states. The Higgs bosons can be found with masses up to 70-80% of the initial e^\pm e^- collider energy for medium values of tan(beta), i.e. in areas of the supersymmetric parameter space not accessible at other colliders.
Production of the Standard Model Higgs-boson at the photon collider at TESLA is studied for the Higgs-boson masses above 170 GeV. By reconstructing WW and ZZ final states, not only the h to gamma-gamma partial width but also the phase of the scattering amplitude can be measured. This opens a new window onto the precise determination of the Higgs-boson couplings.
In most supersymmetric theories, charginos $\tildeχ^\pm_{1,2}$ belong to the class of the lightest supersymmetric particles and the couplings of Higgs bosons to charginos are in general complex so that the CP--violating chargino contributions to the loop--induced coupling of the lightest Higgs boson to photon pairs can be sizable even in the decoupling limit of large pseudoscalar mass $m_A$ with only the lightest Higgs boson kinematically accessible at future high energy colliders. We introduce a specific benchmark scenario of CP violation consistent with the electric dipole moment constraints…
By model independent way scalar and pseudoscalar neutral Higgs boson production with photon in the tree process $μ^+μ^- \to H^0 γ$ are considered. For the Standard Model and Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model cases numerical estimates are obtained. The model independent flavour changing Higgs bosons production in the tree processes $e^+e^-,μ^+e^- \to H^0_{fc} γ$ is also considered.
The various search modes for the Higgs bosons of the Standard Model (SM) and its Minimal Supersymmetric Extension (MSSM) at the International Linear Collider (ILC) will be summarized briefly. In particular, as a unique discovery mode the production of heavy neutral MSSM Higgs bosons for medium values of $\tanβ$ in photon collisions will be presented. Furthermore, $τ^+τ^-$ fusion into MSSM Higgs bosons in the photon mode will be shown to give access to the mixing parameter $\tanβ$ with a precision of better than 10% for large values of this parameter.
We consider the loop-induced production of a single Higgs boson from direct photon-photon scattering at a photon collider. A dedicated analysis of the total cross section and the relative strength of the effective $hγγ$ coupling is carried out within the general Two-Higgs-Doublet Model (2HDM) and the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM). We systematically survey representative regions over the parameter space, in full agreement with brought-to-date theoretical and phenomenological restrictions, and obtain production rates up to $10^4$ Higgs boson events per $500 fb^{-1}$ of integrated …
I review recent progress on the Higgs production in gamma gamma collisions at the photon mode of the Next Linear Collider (NLC). I mainly focus on two particular topics. The first topic is the Higgs-two photon vertex, which is sensitive to new physics, and can be considered a counter of the number of new heavy particles. I recall the results on QCD and electroweak two loop radiative corrections. The second topic is the heavy quark anti-quark pair production in gamma gamma collisions, which is the dominant background process for the Higgs production at m_H <150 GeV. We suggest a procedure for t…
The cross sections for the lightest neutral Higgs pair production at the one-loop level in photon-photon collisions are calculated in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model(MSSM). We find that the contributions to the lightest Higgs boson pair production cross sections arising from the genuine supersymmetric virtual particles dominate over that arising from the virtual particles in the two-Higgs-doublet model (2HDM) if there are mixing between the right- and left-handed stops, otherwise, the contributions from ones in the 2HDM are dominant. We present the detailed numerical results of the c…
