Following the path of minimalism in alternative theories of gravity, we construct the "Minimal Theory of Bigravity" (MTBG), a theory of two interacting spin-2 fields that propagates only four local degrees of freedom instead of the usual seven ones and that allows for the same homogeneous and isotropic cosmological solutions as in Hassan-Rosen bigravity (HRBG). Starting from a precursor theory that propagates six local degrees of freedom, we carefully choose additional constraints to eliminate two of them to construct the theory. Investigating the cosmology of MTBG, we find that it accommodates two different branches of homogeneous and isotropic background solutions, equivalent on-shell to the two branches that are present in HRBG. Those branches in MTBG differ however from the HRBG ones at the perturbative level, are both perfectly healthy and do not exhibit strong coupling issues nor ghost instabilities. In the so-called self-accelerating branch, characterized by the presence of an effective cosmological constant, the scalar and vector sectors are the same as in General Relativity (GR). In the so-called normal branch, the scalar sector exhibits non-trivial phenomenology, while its vector sector remains the same as in GR. In both branches, the tensor sector exhibits the usual HRBG features: an effective mass term and oscillations of the gravitons. Therefore MTBG provides a stable nonlinear completion of the cosmology in HRBG.
In this paper we study gravitational wave perturbations in a cosmological setting of bigravity which can reproduce the ΛCDM background and large scale structure. We show that in general gravitational wave perturbations are unstable and only for very fine tuned initial conditions such a cosmology is viable. We quantify this fine tuning. We argue that similar fine tuning is also required in the scalar sector in order to prevent the tensor instability to be induced by second order scalar perturbations. Finally, we show that due to this power law instability, models of bigravity can lead to a larg…
We propose a bigravity analogue of the $F(R)$ gravity. Our construction is based on recent ghost-free massive bigravity where additional scalar fields are added and the corresponding conformal transformation is implemented. It turns out that $F(R)$ bigravity is easier to formulate in terms of the auxiliary scalars as the explicit presentation in terms of $F(R)$ is quite cumbersome. The consistent cosmological reconstruction scheme of $F(R)$ bigravity is developed in detail, showing the possibility to realize nearly arbitrary physical universe evolution with consistent solution for second metri…
The bigravity models coupled with two scalar fields are constructed. We show that a wide class of the expansion history of the universe, especially corresponding to dark energy and/or inflation, can be described by a solution of the bigravity model. We discuss the stability of the solution and give the conditions for the stability. We also explicitly construct a model which gives a stable solution. By using the stable model, for an arbitrary evolution of the universe expansion, we construct the Brans-Dicke like model which reproduces the evolution.
In the Hamiltonian language we provide a study of flat-space cosmology in bigravity and massive gravity constructed mostly with de Rham, Gabadadze, Tolley (dRGT) potential. It is demonstrated that the Hamiltonian methods are powerful not only in proving the absence of the Boulware-Deser ghost, but also in solving other problems. The purpose of this work is to give an introduction both to the Hamiltonian formalism and to the cosmology of bigravity. We sketch three roads to the Hamiltonian of bigravity with the dRGT potential: the metric, the tetrad and the minisuperspace approaches.
We study cosmology in the bigravity formulation of the dRGT model where matter couples to both metrics. At linear order in perturbation theory two mass scales emerge: an hard one from the dRGT potential, and an environmental dependent one from the coupling of bigravity with matter. At early time, the dynamics is dictated by the second mass scale which is of order of the Hubble scale. The set of gauge invariant perturbations that couples to matter follow closely the same behaviour as in GR. The remaining perturbations show no issue in the scalar sector, while problems arise in the tensor and ve…
We revisit the question of viability of bigravity cosmology as a candidate for dark energy. In the context of the low energy limit model, where matter couples to a single metric, we study linear perturbations around homogeneous and isotropic backgrounds to derive the Poisson's equation for the Newtonian potential. Extending to second order perturbations, we identify the Vainshtein radius below which non-linear scalar self interactions conspire to reproduce GR on local scales. We combine all of these results to determine the parameter space that allows a late time de-Sitter attractor compatible…
The recently proposed chameleonic extension of bigravity theory, by including a scalar field dependence in the graviton potential, avoids several fine-tunings found to be necessary in usual massive bigravity. In particular it ensures that the Higuchi bound is satisfied at all scales, that no Vainshtein mechanism is needed to satisfy solar-system experiments, and that the strong coupling scale is always above the scale of cosmological interest all the way up to the early universe. This paper extends the previous work by presenting a stable example of cosmology in the chameleon bigravity model. …
Massive bigravity models are interesting alternatives to standard cosmology. In most cases, however, these models have been studied for a simplified scenario in which both metrics take homogeneous and isotropic forms [Friedmann-Lemaître-Robertson-Walker (FLRW)] with the same spatial curvatures. The interest to consider more general geometries arises, in particular, in view of the difficulty so far encountered in building stable cosmological solutions with homogeneous and isotropic metrics. Here we consider a number of cases in which the two metrics take more general forms, namely FLRW with dif…
We study dynamics of Friedmann-Lemaitre-Robertson-Walker (FLRW) spacetime based on the ghost-free bigravity theory. Assuming the coupling parameters guaranteeing the existence of de Sitter space as well as Minkowski spacetime, we find two stable attractors for spacetime with "twin" dust matter fields: One is de Sitter accelerating universe and the other is matter dominated universe. Although a considerable number of initial data leads to de Sitter universe, we also find matter dominated universe or spacetime with a future singularity for some initial data. The cosmic no-hair conjecture does no…
We reconstruct $F(R)$ gravity models with exponential and power-law forms of the scale factor in which bounce cosmology can be realized. We explore the stability of the reconstructed models with analyzing the perturbations from the background solutions. Furthermore, we study an $F(R)$ gravity model with a sum of exponentials form of the scale factor, where the bounce in the early universe as well as the late-time cosmic acceleration can be realized in a unified manner. As a result, we build a second order polynomial type model in terms of $R$ and show that it could be stable. Moreover, when th…
We generalize the scalar tensor bigravity models to the non-minimal kinetic coupling scalar tensor bigravity models with two scalar fields whose kinetic terms are non-minimally coupled to two Einstein tensors constructed by two metrics. We show that a broad class of expanding universes can be explained by some solutions of this model. Then, we study the stability issue of the solutions by means of imposing homogeneous perturbation on the equations of motion and extract the stable solutions.
In de Rham-Gabadadze-Tolley (dRGT) massive gravity and bigravity, a non-minimal matter coupling involving both metrics generically re-introduces the Boulware--Deser (BD) ghost. A non-minimal matter coupling via a simple, yet specific composite metric has been proposed, which eliminates the BD ghost below the strong coupling scale. Working explicitly in the metric formulation and for arbitrary spacetime dimensions, we show that this composite metric is the unique consistent non-minimal matter coupling below the strong coupling scale, which emerges out of two diagnostics, namely, absence of Ostr…
The recent discovery of a ghost-free, non-linear extension of the Fierz-Pauli theory of massive gravity, and its bigravity formulation, introduced new possibilities of interpreting cosmological observations, in particular, the apparent late-time accelerated expansion of the Universe. Here we discuss such possibilities by studying the background cosmology of the model and comparing its predictions to different cosmological measurements. We place constraints on the model parameters through an extensive statistical analysis of the model, and compare its viability to that of the standard model of …
In a Friedmann-Robertson-Walker (FRW) space-time background we study the classical cosmological models in the context of recently proposed theory of nonlinear minimal massive bigravity. We show that in the presence of perfect fluid the classical field equations acquire contribution from the massive graviton as a cosmological term which is positive or negative depending on the dynamical competition between two scale factors of bigravity metrics. We obtain the classical field equations for flat and open universes in the ordinary and Schutz representation of perfect fluid. Focusing on the Schutz …
We consider modified gravity which may describe the early-time inflation and/or late-time cosmic acceleration of the universe. In particular, we discuss the properties of $F(R)$, $F(G)$, string-inspired and scalar-Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet gravities, including their FRW equations and fluid or scalar-tensor description. Simplest accelerating cosmologies are investigated and possibility of unified description of the inflation with dark energy is described. The cosmological reconstruction program which permits to get the requested universe evolution from modified gravity is developed. As some extensi…
We investigate static and spherically symmetric solutions in the Minimal Theory of Bigravity (MTBG). First, we show that a pair of Schwarzschild-de Sitter spacetimes with different cosmological constants and black hole masses written in the spatially-flat Gullstrand-Painlevé (GP) coordinates is a solution in the self-accelerating branch of MTBG, while it cannot be a solution in the normal branch. We then illustrate how Schwarzschild-de Sitter solutions can become compatible with the normal branch when using different coordinates. We also confirm that the self-accelerating branch of MTBG admits…
We study the accelerating cosmology in massive $F(R)$ bigravity via the reconstruction scheme. The consistent solution of the FRW equations is presented: it includes Big and Little Rip, quintessence, de Sitter and decelerating universes described by the physical $g$ metric while the corresponding solution of the universe described by the reference $f$ metric is also found. It is demonstrated that in general the cosmological singularities of $g$ metric are not always manifested as cosmological singularities of the reference $f$ metric. We give two consistent ways to describe the Big and Little …
We explore trace-anomaly driven inflation in modified gravity. It is explicitly shown that in $T^2$ teleparallel gravity, the de Sitter inflation can occur, although quasi de Sitter inflation happens in $R^2$ gravity. Furthermore, we investigate the influence of the trace anomaly on inflation. It is found that in $f(T)$ gravity, the de Sitter inflation can end because it becomes unstable due to the trace anomaly, whereas also in higher derivative gravity, the de Sitter inflation can be realized and it will be over thanks to the trace anomaly for smaller parameter regions in comparison with tho…
We analyse the late time cosmology and the gravitational properties of doubly coupled bigravity in the constrained vielbein formalism (equivalent to the metric formalism) when the mass of the massive graviton is of the order of the present Hubble rate. We focus on one of the two branches of background cosmology where the ratio between the scale factors of the two metrics is algebraically determined. The Universe evolves from a matter dominated epoch to a dark energy dominated era where the equation of state of dark energy can always be made close to -1 now by appropriately tuning the graviton …
The possibility of matter coupling to two metrics at once is considered. This appears natural in the most general ghost-free, bimetric theory of gravity, where it unlocks an additional symmetry with respect to the exchange of the metrics. This double coupling, however, raises the problem of identifying the observables of the theory. It is shown that if the two metrics couple minimally to matter, then there is no physical metric to which all matter would universally couple, and that moreover such an effective metric generically does not exist even for an individual matter species. By studying p…
In the former part, we study the gravitational collapse of pressureless dust and find special solutions, where, in both the physical and fiducial sectors, the exterior and interior spacetime geometries are given by the Schwarzschild spacetimes and the Friedmann-Lemaître-Robertson-Walker universes dominated by pressureless dust, respectively, with specific time slicings. In the case where the Lagrange multipliers are trivial and have no jump across the matter interfaces in both the physical and fiducial sectors, the junction conditions across them remain the same as those in general relativity …
Bimetric gravity theories describes gravitational interactions in the presence of an extra spin-2 field. The Hassan-Rosen (HR) nonlinear massive minimal bigravity theory is a ghost-free bimetric theory formulated with respect a flat, dynamical reference metric. In this work the deformation quantization formalism is applied to a HR cosmological model in the minisuperspace. The quantization procedure is performed explicitly for quantum cosmology in the minisuperspace. The Friedmann-Lemaître-Robertson-Walker (FLRW) model with flat metrics is worked out and the computation of the Wigner functions …
We study the future cosmological singularities in the framework of massive gravity and minimal massive bigravity theory. In this regards, we consider the possible classes of finite-time future singularities such as sudden, big rip, big freeze and big brake singularities in the massive universe. In dRGT model with an open expanding universe we obtain the sudden singularity in the future at a finite-time which generally without taking account of any particular realistic equation of state, is not avoidable and except the fluid density, all dynamical physical quantities such as pressure approach t…
Massive bigravity, a theoretically consistent modification of general relativity with an additional dynamical rank two tensor, successfully describes the observed accelerated expansion of the Universe without a cosmological constant. Recent analyses of perturbations around a cosmological background have revealed power law instabilities in both scalar and tensor perturbations, motivating an analysis of the initial conditions, evolution, and cosmological observables to determine the viability of these theories. In this paper we focus on the tensor sector, and study a primordial stochastic gravit…
We perform a combined perturbation and observational investigation of the scenario of non-minimal derivative coupling between a scalar field and curvature. First we extract the necessary condition that ensures the absence of instabilities, which is fulfilled more sufficiently for smaller coupling values. Then using Type Ia Supernovae (SNIa), Baryon Acoustic Oscillations (BAO), and Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) observations, we show that, contrary to its significant effects on inflation, the non-minimal derivative coupling term has a negligible effect on the universe acceleration, since it …
We investigate cosmological scenarios with a non-minimal derivative coupling between the scalar field and the curvature, examining both the quintessence and the phantom cases in zero and constant potentials. In general, we find that the universe transits from one de Sitter solution to another, determined by the coupling parameter. Furthermore, according to the parameter choices and without the need for matter, we can obtain a Big Bang, an expanding universe with no beginning, a cosmological turnaround, an eternally contracting universe, a Big Crunch, a Big Rip avoidance and a cosmological boun…
We give a brief review of the non-minimal derivative coupling (NMDC) scalar field theory in which there is non-minimal coupling between the scalar field derivative term and the Einstein tensor. We assume that the expansion is of power-law type or super-acceleration type for small redshift. The Lagrangian includes the NMDC term, a free kinetic term, a cosmological constant term and a barotropic matter term. For a value of the coupling constant that is compatible with inflation, we use the combined WMAP9 (WMAP9+eCMB+BAO+ $H_0$) dataset, the PLANCK+WP dataset, and the PLANCK $TT,TE,EE$+lowP+Lensi…
We investigate dynamics of a flat FRW cosmological model with a barotropic matter and a non-minimally coupled scalar field (both canonical and phantom). In our approach we do not assume any specific form of a potential function for the scalar field and we are looking for generic scenarios of evolution. We show that dynamics of universe can be reduced to a 3-dimensional dynamical system. We have found the set of fixed points and established their character. These critical points represent all important epochs in evolution of the universe : (a) a finite scale factor singularity, (b) an inflation…
Quantum cosmology in the presence of a fundamental minimal length is analyzed in the context of the flat isotropic and the Taub cosmological models. Such minimal scale comes out from a generalized uncertainty principle and the quantization is performed in the minisuperspace representation. Both the quantum Universes are singularity-free and (i) in the isotropic model no evidences for a Big-Bounce appear; (ii) in the Taub one a quasi-isotropic configuration for the Universe is predicted by the model.
We study the effects of a generalized uncertainty principle on the classical and quantum cosmology of a closed Friedmann Universe whose matter content is either a dust or a radiation fluid. More concretely, assuming the existence of a minimal length, we show that the entropy will constitute a Dirac observable. In addition, 't Hooft conjecture on the cosmological holographic principle is also investigated. We describe how this holographic principle is satisfied for large values of a quantum number, $n$. This occurs when the entropy is computed in terms of the minimal area.
We study a scalar-tensor cosmological model where the Einstein tensor is non-minimally coupled to the free scalar field dynamics. Using FRW metric, we investigate the behavior of scale factor for vacuum, matter and dark energy dominated eras. Especially, we focus on the inflationary behavior at early universe. Moreover, we study the perturbation analysis of this model in order to confront the inflation under consideration with the observational results.
In the frame of the scalar field model with non minimal kinetic coupling to gravity, we study the cosmological solutions of the Chaplygin gas model of dark energy. By appropriately restricting the potential, we found the scalar field, the potential and coupling giving rise to the Chaplygin gas solution. Extensions to the generalized and modified Chaplygin gas have been made.
We investigate the consequences of non-minimal gravitational coupling to matter and study how it differs from the case of minimal coupling by choosing certain simple forms for the nature of coupling, The values of the parameters are specified at $z=0$ (present epoch) and the equations are evolved backwards to calculate the evolution of cosmological parameters. We find that the Hubble parameter evolves more slowly in non-minimal coupling case as compared to the minimal coupling case. In both the cases, the universe accelerates around present time, and enters the decelerating regime in the past.…
A Kantowski-Sachs model with a modified quantization prescription is considered. Such quantization rules, inspired by the so-called Generalized Uncertainty Principle (GUP), correspond to a modified commutation relation between minisuperspace variables and their conjugate momenta. For a wide range of the modification parameter, this approach differentiates from the standard results by the presence of a potential well in the corresponding Wheeler-DeWitt equation. This then produces the appearance of a set of wave functions, with corresponding discrete energy spectrum.
A scalar-tensor model with Gauss-Bonnet and non-minimal kinetic couplings is considered, in which ghost modes are eliminated via a Lagrange multiplier constraint. A reconstruction procedure is deviced for the scalar potential and Lagrange multiplier, valid for any given cosmological scenario. In particular, inflationary and dark energy cosmologies of different types (power-law, Little-Rip, de Sitter, quasi de Sitter) are reconstructed in such models. It is shown that, for various choices of the kinetic coupling terms, it is possible to obtain a viable inflationary phenomenology compatible with…
The FRW model with non-minimally coupled massive scalar field has been investigated in LQC framework. Considered form of the potential and coupling allows applications to Higgs driven inflation. Out of two frames used in the literature to describe such systems: Jordan and Einstein frame, the latter one is applied. Specifically, we explore the idea of the Einstein frame being the natural 'environment' for quantization and the Jordan picture having an emergent nature. The resulting dynamics qualitatively modifies the standard bounce paradigm in LQC in two ways: (i) the bounce point is no longer …
The Friedmann-Robertson-Walker (FRW) universe and Bianchi I,II universes are investigated in the framework of the generalized uncertainty principle (GUP) with a linear and a quadratic term in Planck length and momentum, which predicts minimum measurable length as well as maximum measurable momentum. We get a dynamic cosmological bounce for the FRW universe. With Bianchi universe, we found that the universe may be still isotropic by implementing GUP. Moreover, the wall velocity appears to be stationary with respect to the universe velocity which means that when the momentum of the Universe evol…
We investigate a very general class of cosmological models with scalar fields non-minimally coupled to gravity. A particular representative in this class is given by the non-minimal Higgs inflation model in which the Standard Model Higgs boson and the inflaton are described by one and the same scalar particle. While the predictions of the non-minimal Higgs inflation scenario come numerically remarkably close to the recently discovered mass of the Higgs boson, there remains a conceptual problem in this model that is associated with the choice of the cosmological frame. While the classical theor…
We show that the standard Hamiltonian of isotropic loop quantum cosmology is selected by physical criteria plus one choice: that it have a `minimal' number of terms. We also show the freedom, and boundedness of energy density, even when this choice is relaxed. A criterion used is covariance under dilations, the continuous diffeomorphisms remaining in this context, which are not canonical but conformally canonical transformations. We propose how to implement conformally canonical transformations in quantum theory. Removal of the infrared regulator yields independence of ordering ambiguities.
We review cosmology in non-minimal Yang-Mills/Maxwell theory, in which the Yang-Mills/electromagnetic field couples to a function of the scalar curvature. We show that power-law inflation can be realized due to the non-minimal gravitational coupling of the Yang-Mills field which may be caused by quantum corrections. Moreover, we study non-minimal vector model in the framework of modified gravity and demonstrate that both inflation and the late-time accelerated expansion of the universe can be realized. We also discuss the cosmological reconstruction of the Yang-Mills theory. Furthermore, we in…
We study inflationary cosmology and the late-time accelerated expansion of the universe in non-minimal Yang-Mills (YM) theory, in which the YM field couples to a function of the scalar curvature. It is shown that power-law inflation can be realized due to the non-minimal YM field-gravitational coupling which maybe caused by quantum corrections. Moreover, it is demonstrated that both inflation and the late-time accelerated expansion of the universe can be realized in a modified YM-$F(R)$ gravity which is consistent with solar system tests. Furthermore, it is shown that this result can be realiz…
Recently, the tachyon cosmology has been represented as dark energy model to support the current acceleration of the universe without phantom crossing. In this paper, we study the dynamics of the tachyon cosmology in which the field plays the role of tachyon field and also non--minimally coupled to the matter lagrangian. The model shows current universe acceleration and also phantom crossing in the future. Two cosmological tests are also performed to validate the model; the difference in the distance modulus and the model independent Cosmological Redshift Drift (CRD) test.
We study a tachyon model with non-minimal derivative coupling to gravity in the Friedmann-Robertson-Walker flat cosmology. We propose the special re-definition of the tachyon field which allows us to represent tachyon field equation formally coinciding with its usual form but with re-defined Hubble parameter. Two first integrals for the model equations are obtained that can essentially simplify both further analysis and analytical solving for the model. These integrals become the trivial identities in the case of minimal coupling. The effective energy density and pressure of the tachyon field …
We study the dynamical evolution of cosmological models with the Robertson-Walker symmetry with a scalar field non-minimally coupled to gravity and barotropic matter. For this aim we use dynamical system methods. We have found a type of evolutional path which links between all important events during the evolution, the cosmological singularity of finite time, inflation, radiation and matter dominating epoch and the accelerated phase expansion of the universe. We point out importance of finding the new generic solution called a twister solution for a deeper description of the evolution of the U…
The requirement that the laws of physics must be invariant under point-dependent transformations of the units of length, time, and mass is used as a selection principle while studying different generic effective theories of gravity. Thereof theories with non-minimal coupling of the dilaton both to the curvature and to the Lagrangian of the matter fields seem to represent the most viable low-energy [and low-curvature] description of gravity. Consequently, the cosmological singularity problem is treated within the context of string cosmology with non-minimal coupling of the dilaton to a barotrop…
Quantum cosmology is investigated in a de Sitter minisuperspace model with a quantized scalar field non-minimally coupled to curvature. Quantum states of the scalar field must satisfy the regularity condition, which requires that the probability of field fluctuations should not increase with their amplitude. We show that this condition imposes constraints on the allowed values of the curvature coupling parameter $ξ$. This is a surprising result, since the field dynamics depends only on the combination $m^2+ξR$, where $m$ is the field mass and $R = \mathrm{const}$ is the curvature, and does not…
NMDC-Palatini cosmology in slow-roll regime is of our interests. We present flat FLRW cosmological NMDC-Palatini field equations and acceleration condition. Late time trajectory is approximated. Chaotic inflation potential is considered here as it is viable in a range of positive coupling constant as constrained by CMB results. Phase portraits show that the NMDC-Palatini gives new saddle-point solutions. In $V \propto ϕ^2$ potential, the NMDC-Palatini effect enlarges the acceleration-allowed region from that of GR case.
In this work, we consider effects of the dynamical vacuum in quantum cosmology in presence of a minimum length introduced by the GUP (generalized uncertainty principle) related to the modified commutation relation $[\hat{X},\hat{P}] := \frac{i\hbar}{ 1 - β\hat{P}^2 }$ . We determine the wave function of the Universe $ ψ_{qp}(ξ,t)$, which is solution of the modified Wheeler-DeWitt equation in the representation of the quasi-position space, in the limit where the scale factor of the Universe is small. Although $ψ_{qp}(ξ,t)$ is a physically acceptable state it is not a realizable state of the Uni…
We derive a Higgs inflationary model in the context of holographic cosmology, where we consider a universe filled with a Higgs field non-minimally coupled to gravity in a slow-roll regime. The amplitude of density (scalar) perturbations is calculated. In this regard, we show that the background and perturbative parameters characterising the inflationary era are related to the standard one through corrections terms. We found that for the e-fold number $N\sim 58$, the spectral index,$n_{r}$, and the tensor-to-scalar ratio,$r$, values are $0.965$ and $0.021$, respectively, which are in agreement …
Within the scope of Bianchi type-$I$ cosmological model we have studied the role of spinor field in the evolution of the Universe. In doing so we have considered the case with non-minimal coupling. It was found that the non-diagonal components of the energy-momentum tensor of the spinor field, hence the restrictions on the space-time geometry remain the same as in case of minimal coupling. Since in this case the diagonal components of the energy-momentum tensor differ, the evolution of the corresponding universe also differs. For example, while a linear spinor field with non-minimal coupling o…
Inserting a varying Lambda in Einstein's field equations can be made consistent with the Bianchi identities by allowing for torsion, without the need to add scalar field degrees of freedom. In the minimal such theory, Lambda is totally free and undetermined by the field equations in the absence of matter. Inclusion of matter ties Lambda algebraically to it, at least when homogeneity and isotropy are assumed, i.e. when there is no Weyl curvature. We show that Lambda is proportional to the matter density, with a proportionality constant depending on the equation of state. Unfortunately, the prop…
Quantization in the minisuperspace of non minimal scalar-tensor theories leads to a partial differential equation which is non separable. Through a conformal transformation we can recast the Wheeler-DeWitt equation in an integrable form, which corresponds to the minimal coupling case, whose general solution is known. Performing the inverse conformal transformation in the solution so found, we can construct the corresponding one in the original frame. This procedure can also be employed with the bohmian trajectories. In this way, we can study the classical limit of some solutions of this quantu…
In this letter, cosmology of a simple NMDC gravity with $ξR ϕ_{,μ}ϕ^{,μ}$ term and a free kinetic term is considered in flat geometry and in presence of dust matter. A logarithm field transformation $ϕ' = μ\ln ϕ$ is proposed phenomenologically. Assuming slow-roll approximation, equation of motion, scalar field solution and potential are derived as function of kinematic variables. The field solution and potential are found straightforwardly for power-law, de-Sitter and super-acceleration expansions. Slow-roll parameters and slow-roll condition are found to depend on more than one variable. At l…
We investigate the validity of a \emph{minimal} cosmological model derived from the renormalizable Ho$\check{\textrm{r}}$ava action at low redshift scales by using different cosmological and statistical tests. Assuming pure attractive gravity, i.e., $λ>1/3$ in the Ho$\check{\textrm{r}}$ava action, we compare the Union 2.1 supernova type Ia data with the kinematics following from a model-independent approach. The two approaches, although compatible, lead to explicit cosmographic constraints on the free parameters of the Ho$\check{\textrm{r}}$ava action, which turn out to be in strong disagreeme…
