We perform a systematic analysis of models with GeV-scale dark matter coupled to baryons and leptons. Such theories provide a natural framework to explain the matter-antimatter asymmetry of the universe. We find that only a few baryonic dark matter models are free from tree-level proton decay without explicitly imposing baryon number conservation. We enumerate those cases and provide a brief overview of their phenomenology. We then focus on a leptonic dark matter model for a more detailed discussion of the baryon asymmetry generation via leptogenesis, the symmetry restoration in the dark sector and the expected dark matter annihilation signals in indirect detection experiments.
The absence of dispersion effects of the SN~1987A neutrino pulse has been used to constrain novel long-range forces between neutrinos and galactic baryonic or non-baryonic matter. If these forces are mediated by vector bosons, screening effects by the cosmic neutrino background invalidate the SN~1987A limits and other related arguments.
We present a phenomenology study on central exclusive production of $W^+W^-$ boson pairs in proton-proton collisions at the Large Hadron Collider at 14 TeV using the forward proton detectors, such as the ATLAS Forward Proton or the CMS-TOTEM Precision Proton Spectrometer detectors. Final states where at least one of the $W$ bosons decay hadronically in a large-radius jet are considered. The latter extends previous efforts that consider solely leptonic final states. A measurement of exclusive $W^+W^-$ also allows us to further constrain anomalous quartic gauge boson interactions between photons…
We consider the leptonic asymmetry generation in the nuMSM via hadronic decays of sterile neutrinos at T<<T_{EW}, when the masses of two heavier sterile neutrinos are between pion mass and 2 GeV. The choice of upper mass bound is motivated by absence of direct experimental searches for singlet fermions with greater mass. We carried out computations at zero temperature and ignored the background effects. Combining constraints of sufficient value of the leptonic asymmetry for production of dark matter particles, condition for sterile neutrino to be out of thermal equilibrium and existing experim…
We point out that non-leptonic B decays driven by b-->ccbar s should provide a favourable environment for the production of hidden charm diquark-antidiquark bound states that have been suggested to explain the resonances with masses around 4 GeV recently observed by BaBar and BELLE. Studying their relative abundances in non-leptonic B decays can teach us novel lessons about their structure and the strong interactions. Through their decay into psi they can provide a natural explanation of the excess of B-->psi X observed for p_psi < 1 GeV. Other phenomenological consequences are mentioned as we…
We employ optimal renormalization group analysis to semi-leptonic $τ$-decay polarization functions and extract the strange quark mass from their moments measured by the ALEPH and OPAL collaborations. The optimal renormalization group makes use of the renormalization group equation of a given perturbation series which then leads to closed form sum of all the renormalization group-accessible logarithms which have reduced scale dependence. Using the latest theoretical inputs we find $m_s(2{\rm GeV}) = 106.70 \pm 9.36~{\rm MeV}$ and $m_s(2{\rm GeV}) = 74.47 \pm 7.77~{\rm MeV}$ for ALEPH and OPAL d…
We present a study of charmed hadron transverse momentum distribution from p+p collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}=200$ GeV using the PYTHIA Monte Carlo event generator. The PHENIX tuned PYTHIA parameter set based on electron measurements alone yields a $D$ meson $p_{T}$ distribution softer than the preliminary STAR experimental data from d+Au collisions scaled by the number of binary collisions. In order to match the STAR $p_{T}$ spectrum, the higher order QCD effects in PYTHIA have to be taken into account, and a fragmentation function of charm quarks much harder than the default Peterson function …
With the renewed distribution amplitudes of $Λ$, we present a reanalysis on the semi-leptonic decay $Λ_c\toΛ\ell^+ν$ by use of the light-cone sum rule approach with two kinds of interpolating currents. The form factors describing the decay process are obtained and used to predict the decay width. With the inclusion of up to twist-6 contributions the calculations give the decay width $Γ=(10.04\pm0.88)\times10^{-14}{GeV}$ for Chernyak-Zhitnitsky-type(CZ-type) current and $Γ=(6.45\pm1.06)\times10^{-14}{GeV}$ for Ioffe-type current. The Ioffe-type interpolating current is found to be better for th…
We studied the dimension-6 leptonic anomalous gauge couplings in the formulation of linearly realized gauge symmetry effective Lagrangian and investigated the constraints on these anomalous couplings from the existed experimental data including LEP2 and $W$/$Z$ boson decay. Some bounds of $O(0.1-10){\rm TeV}^{-2}$ on four relevant anomalous couplings are given by the Z factories. We studied the sensitivity of testing the leptonic anomalous couplings via the process $e^+e^-\rightarrow W^+W^-$ at future $e^+e^-$ linear colliders. We discussed different sensitivities to anomalous couplings at pol…
It is known that after Affleck-Dine baryogenesis, spatial inhomogeneities of Affleck-Dine field grow into non-topological solitons called Q-balls. In gauge mediated SUSY breaking models, sufficiently large Q-balls with baryon charge are stable while Q-balls with lepton charge can always decay into leptons. For a Q-ball that carries nonzero $B$ and $L$ charges, the difference between the baryonic component and the leptonic component in decay rate may induce nonzero electric charge on the Q-ball. This implies that charged Q-ball, also called gauged Q-ball, may emerge in our universe. In this pap…
We examine the nature of the unknown enhancement around 3 GeV observed by the BABAR collaboration in the $m_{p\bar p}$ spectrum of the $\bar B^0\to p\bar p D^0$ decay. Suspecting that the peak is a resonance, which can be neither identified as a charmonium state, such as $η_c$ or $J/ψ$, nor classified as one of the light-flavor mesons, we conclude that it corresponds to a glueball fitted as X(3020) with $(m_X,\;Γ_X)=(3020\pm 8,\; 107\pm 30)\;\text{MeV}$, which could be the first glueball state above 3 GeV. This state also appears in the $m_{p\bar p}$ spectrum of the $\bar B^0\to p\bar p D^{*0}…
In supersymmetric theories with R-parity breaking, trilinear couplings of two leptons to scalar sleptons are possible. In electron-positron collisions such interactions would manifest themselves through contact terms in Bhabha scattering and in annihilation to mu or tau pair Interpreting the high x, high Q2 DIS HERA events as charm squark production with squark masses of order 200 GeV, the formation of tau sneutrinos with a mass in the range close to the LEP2 energy or even in reach, is an exciting speculation which can be investigated in the coming LEP2 runs with energies close to 200 GeV.
This is a short review of the framework proposed in \cite{Goh:2009wg} which gives rise to indirect Dark Matter (DM) signals explaining the recent cosmic-ray anomalies and links cosmic-ray signals of DM to LHC signals of a leptonic Higgs sector. The states of the leptonic Higgs doublet are lighter than about 200 GeV, yielding large 2 tau and 4 tau event rates at the LHC. For the case of annihilations, cosmic photon and neutrino signals are constrained.
In $ν_μ \to ν_μ$ oscillations, we find that the effect of the CP phase $δ$ becomes large in the region $E<2$ GeV and $L>2000$ km. In this region, the change of the probability in this channel reaches about 0.4 due to the CP phase effect beyond our expectation in the case of large 1-3 mixing angle. Furthermore, the CP phase effect have almost same sign over the region $E>0.5$ GeV so that one may find the signal of CP violation by measuring the total rate only. As an example, we use an experimental setup and demonstrate that the allowed region is limited to one by combined analysis of $ν_e$ and …
We present a detailed analysis on the $B_c$ meson semi-leptonic decays, $B_c \to η_c (J/ψ) \ell ν$, up to next-to-leading order (NLO) QCD correction. We adopt the principle of maximum conformality (PMC) to set the renormalization scales for those decays. After applying the PMC scale setting, we determine the optimal renormalization scale for the $B_c\toη_c(J/ψ)$ transition form factors (TFFs). Because of the same $\{β_0\}$-terms, the optimal PMC scales at the NLO level are the same for all those TFFs, i.e. $μ_r^{\rm PMC} \approx 0.8{\rm GeV}$. We adopt a strong coupling model from the massive …
We propose that the leptonic cosmic ray signals seen by PAMELA and ATIC result from the annihilation or decay of dark matter particles via states of a leptonic Higgs doublet to $τ$ leptons, linking cosmic ray signals of dark matter to LHC signals of the Higgs sector. The states of the leptonic Higgs doublet are lighter than about 200 GeV, yielding large $\barτ τ$ and $\barτ τ\barτ τ$ event rates at the LHC. Simple models are given for the dark matter particle and its interactions with the leptonic Higgs, for cosmic ray signals arising from both annihilations and decays in the galactic halo. Fo…
In the littlest Higgs model with T-parity(LHT), we study the single production of vector-like top partner with the subsequent decay $T_{+}\to Wb$ in the leptonic channel at the $ep$ colliders. Focus on the LHeC ($ \sqrt{s} $ = 1.98 TeV) and FCC-eh ($ \sqrt{s} $ = 5.29 TeV), we investigate the observability of the single top partner production with the unpolarized and polarized electron beams, respectively. As a result, the statistical significance can be enhanced by the polarized electron beams. Under the current constraints, the search for $T_{+}$ in the $Wb$ channel at the LHeC cannot provid…
It has been proposed that a recent outburst of cosmic-ray electrons could account for the excess of GeV-scale gamma rays observed from the region surrounding the Galactic Center. After studying this possibility in some detail, we identify scenarios in which a series of leptonic cosmic-ray outbursts could plausibly generate the observed excess. The morphology of the emission observed outside of $\sim1^{\circ}-2^{\circ}$ from the Galactic Center can be accommodated with two outbursts, one which took place approximately $\sim10^6$ years ago, and another (injecting only about 10\% as much energy a…
The effects of strong color electric fields (SCF) on the baryon production at RHIC are studied in the framework of HIJING/BB (v2.0) model. The particle species dependence of nuclear modification factors (NMF) are analyzed for Au+Au collisions at 200A GeV. A doubling of the string tension leading to a modification of the strangeness suppression according to Schwinger mechanism is shown to provide an alternate explanation to coalescence models for the interpretation of the observed baryon and meson production at moderate $p_T$ and results in a predicted enhancement in the (multi)strange (anti)hy…
Using simple parametrizations of the thermodynamic freeze-out parameters extracted from the data over a wide beam-energy range, we reexpress the hadronic freeze-out line in terms of the underlying dynamical quantities, the net baryon density rhoB and the energy density epsilon, which are subject to local conservation laws. This analysis makes it apparent that rhoB exhibits a maximum as the collision energy is decreased. This maximum freeze-out density has muB=400-500 MeV, which is above the critical value, and it is reached for a fixed-target bombarding energy of 20-30 GeV/A.
According to the Multiple Point Principle our Universe is on the coexistence curve of two or more phases of the quantum vacuum. The coexistence of different quantum vacua can be regulated by the exchange of the global fermionic charges between the vacua, such as baryonic, leptonic or family charge. If the coexistence is regulated by the baryonic charge, all the coexisting vacua exhibit the baryonic asymmetry. Due to the exchange of the baryonic charge between the vacuum and matter which occurs above the electroweak transition, the baryonic asymmetry of the vacuum induces the baryonic asymmetry…
The alternative $[SU(3)]^4$ model of leptonic color and dark matter is discussed. It unifies at $M_U \sim 10^{14}$ GeV and has the low-energy subgroup $SU(3)_q \times SU(2)_l \times SU(2)_L \times SU(2)_R \times U(1)_X$ with $(u,h)_R$ instead of $(u,d)_R$ as doublets under $SU(2)_R$. It has the built-in global $U(1)$ dark symmetry which is generalized $B-L$. In analogy to $SU(3)_q$ quark triplets, it has $SU(2)_l$ hemion doublets which have half-integral charges and are confined by $SU(2)_l$ gauge bosons (stickons). In analogy to quarkonia, their vector bound states (hemionia) are uniquely sui…
The production and properties of the resonances with the strangeness S = +1 in the system of nK+ were studied in the reaction np -> npK+K- at the momentum of incident neutrons Pn = (5.20+/-0.12)GeV/c. A number of peculiarities was found in the effective mass spectrum of the mentioned above system. All these resonances have a large statistical significance. Their widths are comparable with the mass resolution. The estimation of the spins of resonances was carried out and the rotational band connecting the resonances masses and their spins was constructed.
The semi-leptonic baryonic $b\to s$ decay, $Λ_b\rightarrow Λ\ell^+\ell^-$, has been studied and new angular observables and asymmetries have been proposed which can test the presence of new physics beyond the standard model.
The quest for new heavy states is a critical component of the LHC physics program. In this letter, we study the search for pseudoscalar bosons produced in association with a $t\bar{t}$ pair. We consider the final state $t\bar{t} A \to t\bar{t} b\bar{b}$ with di-leptonic top pair signature, and reconstruct the boosted $A \to b\bar{b}$ candidate with jet substructure techniques, achieving a remarkable sensitivity over a broad range of pseudoscalar masses and Yukawa couplings. We apply this strategy to a Type-I Two-Higgs-Doublet Model, demonstrating its ability to probe a realistic, UV-complete e…
The latest CDF anomaly, the excess of dijet events in the invariant-mass window 120-160 GeV in associated production with a $W$ boson, can be explained by a baryonic $Z'$ model in which the $Z'$ boson has negligible couplings to leptons. Although this $Z'$ model is hardly subject to the Drell-Yan constraint from Tevatron, it is constrained by the dijet data from UA2 ($\sqrt{s} = 630$ GeV), and the precision measurements at LEP through the mixing with the SM $Z$ boson. We show that under these constraints this model can still explain the excess in the M_{jj} \sim 120 - 160 GeV window, as well a…
We revisit the production of leptonic asymmetries in minimal extensions of the Standard Model that can explain neutrino masses, involving extra singlets with Majorana masses in the GeV scale. We study the quantum kinetic equations both analytically, via a perturbative expansion up to third order in the mixing angles, and numerically. The analytical solution allows us to identify the relevant CP invariants, and simplifies the exploration of the parameter space. We find that sizeable lepton asymmetries are compatible with non-degenerate neutrino masses and measurable active-sterile mixings.
Using the density matrix equations (DME) for high scale leptogenesis based on the type I seesaw mechanism, in which the CP violation (CPV) is provided by the low-energy Dirac or/and Majorana phases of the neutrino mixing (PMNS) matrix, we investigate the 1-to-2 and the 2-to-3 flavour regime transitions, where the 1, 2 and 3 leptogenesis flavour regimes in the generation of the baryon asymmetry of the Universe $η_B$ are described by the Boltzmann equations. Concentrating on the 1-to-2 flavour transition we determine the general conditions under which $η_B$ goes through zero and changes sign in …
We study the possibility of using W pair production and leptonic decay of one of the W's at the ILC with polarized beams as a probe of the Littlest Higgs Model. We consider cross-sections, polarization fractions of the W's, leptonic decay energy and angular distributions, and left-right polarization asymmetry as probes of the model. With parameter values allowed by present experimental constraints detectable effects on these observables at typical ILC energies of 500 GeV and 800 GeV will be present. Beam polarization is further found to enhance the sensitivity.
We explore the possibility of CP violation in baryonic $Λ_b\to(Λ_c^+, p^+)π^+μ^-μ^-$ decays which are mediated by two Majorana sterile neutrino and are $|ΔL|=2$ lepton number violating processes. Appreciable CP asymmetry can be obtained if there are two on-shell Majorana neutrinos that are quasi-degenerate in mass with the mass difference of the order of average decay widths. We find that given the present constraints on the heavy to light mixing element $|V_{μN}|$, the $Λ_b\to p^+π^+μ^-μ^-$ and $Λ_b\to Λ_c^+π^+μ^-μ^-$ decay rates are suppressed but could be within the experimental reach at th…
We compare the non-photonic electron and $D^{0}$ meson $p_{T}$ distributions measured at RHIC with the PYTHIA Monte Carlo event generator in p+p collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}=200$ GeV. A delta fragmentation function much harder than the Peterson function, consistent with recombination scheme for charm meson formation, is needed to match the experimental data. Attempts to fit the non-photonic electrons at high $p_{T}$ show large uncertainties and the $B$ meson semi-leptonic decays may not be dominant for electron $p_{T}$ up to 8 GeV/c. Correlations of non-photonic electrons with charged hadrons …
This paper presents the result of a search for a narrow strange baryonic state in the invariant-mass distribution of $pK^0_S(\overline{p}K^0_S)$ in HERA II data (2003-2007). The search was performed in the deep inelastic scattering (DIS) data with photon virtuality, $Q^2$, between 20 and 100 GeV. The analysis in HERA II period has improvements over the previous ZEUS analysis in HERA I period (1996-2000). These consist of large statistics and improved particle identification performance by using both of the CTD $dE/dx$ and the MVD $dE/dx$ in this search. Contrary to evidence for such an exotic …
In light of the recent CDF report on the excess in the Wjj channel, we analyze (non)supersymmetric U(1)_B x U(1)_L model, interpreting the dijet peak as a leptophobic U(1)_B gauge boson. If this excess is confirmed, it has an interesting implication for the baryonic cold dark matter (CDM) in the model: there should be light CDM with a few GeV mass, and direct detection cross section at the level of a few x 10^{-2} pb.
Taking advantage of large top production rates at the LHC, the leptonic final states with J/psi are explored for a precise determination of the top quark mass. The top is partially reconstructed by combining the isolated lepton from the W with the J/psi from the decays of the corresponding b-quark. The method relies, to a large extent, on the proper Monte-Carlo description of top production and decay. The main emphasis is put on the expected systematics uncertainties. Mass measurement accuracy is dominated by the current understanding of theoretical uncertainties which result in a systematic e…
Three CP-violating phases of the $3\times 3$ lepton flavor mixing matrix $V$ are entangled with one another in the renormalization-group evolution from the seesaw scale ($Λ_{\rm SS} \sim 10^{14}$ GeV) to the electroweak scale ($Λ_{\rm EW} \sim 10^2$ GeV). Concerning the Dirac phase $δ$, we show that $δ=90^\circ$ at $Λ_{\rm EW}$ can be radiatively generated from $δ=0^\circ$ at $Λ_{\rm SS}$ in the minimal supersymmetric standard model, if three neutrino masses are nearly degenerate. As for the Majorana phases $ρ$ and $σ$, it is also possible to radiatively generate $ρ=90^\circ$ or $σ= 90^\circ$ …
We study in detail the mechanism of baryon and lepton asymmetry generation in the framework of the $ν$MSM (an extension of the Standard Model by three singlet fermions with masses smaller than the electroweak scale). We elucidate the issue of CP-violation in the model and define the phase relevant for baryogenesis. We clarify the question of quantum-mechanical coherence, essential for the lepton asymmetry generation in singlet fermion oscillations and compute the relevant damping rates. The range of masses and couplings of singlet leptons which can lead to successful baryogenesis is determined…

In this work, we perform a analysis of semi-leptonic and nonleptonic weak decays of heavy baryons: $Λ_{b},Ξ_{b},Ω_{b}$ and $Λ_{c},Ξ_{c},Ω_{c}$. For nonleptonic decay modes, we study only the factorizable channels induced by the external W-emission. The two spectator quarks in baryonic transitions are treated as a diquark and form factors are calculated in the light-front approach. Using the results for form factors, we also calculate some corresponding semi-leptonic and nonleptonic decay widths. We find that our results are comparable with the available experimental data and other theoretical …
It is shown that two physical phenomena are important for high excitations: (i) the screening of the universal gluon-exchange potential and (ii) the flattening of the confining potential owing to creation of quark loops, and both effects are determined quantitatively. Taking the first effect into account, we predict the masses of the ground states with $l=0,1,2$ in agreement with experiment. The flattening effect ensures the observed linear behaviour of the radial Regge trajectories $M^2(n)=m_0^2 + n_r μ^2$ GeV$^2$, where the slope $μ^2$ is very sensitive to the parameter $γ$, which determines…
A realistic medium- or long-baseline neutrino experiment may suffer from terrestrial matter effects which are likely to contaminate the genuine T-violating asymmetry between ν_α\to ν_βand ν_β\to ν_αoscillations. With the help of the commutators of lepton mass matrices in matter, we show that this kind of contamination is negligible for a variety of experiments provided the neutrino beam energy E and the baseline length L satisfy the condition 10^{-7} (L/km)^2 (GeV/E) << 1. The same observation is true for the CP-violating term of the asymmetry between ν_α\to ν_βand \barν_α\to \barν_βoscillatio…
We analyze e+e- yields from matter containing baryons in addition to mesons using a hydrodynamic approach to describe Pb+Au collisions at 158 A GeV/c. We use two distinctly different e+e- production rates to provide contrast. Although the presence of baryons leads to significant enhancement of e+e- emission relative to that from mesons-only matter, the calculated results fall below the data in the range 400 < M/MeV < 600. The calculated results are, however, only 1.3-1.5 standard deviations below the data, which may not be statistically significant.
One of the major motivations to search for a dark gauge boson of MeV-GeV scale is the long-standing muon g-2 anomaly. Because of active searches such as fixed target experiments and rare meson decays, the muon g-2 favored parameter region has been rapidly reduced. With the most recent data, it is practically excluded now in the popular dark photon model. We overview the issue and investigate a potentially alternative model based on the gauged lepton number or U(1)_L. The muon g-2 favored parameter region of the U(1)_L survives all the constraints that were critical in the dark photon case, yet…
Recently PAMELA released their first results on the positron and antiproton ratios. Stimulated by the new data, we studied the cosmic ray propagation models and calculated the secondary positron and antiproton spectra. The low energy positron ratio can be consistent with data in the convection propagation model. Above $\sim 10$ GeV PAMELA data shows a clear excess on the positron ratio. However, the secondary antiproton is roughly consistent with data. The positron excess may be a direct evidence of dark matter annihilation or decay. We compare the positron and anti-proton spectra with data by…
We present a novel mechanism for generating both the baryon and dark matter densities of the Universe. A new Dirac fermion X carrying a conserved baryon number charge couples to the Standard Model quarks as well as a GeV-scale hidden sector. CP-violating decays of X, produced non-thermally in low-temperature reheating, sequester antibaryon number in the hidden sector, thereby leaving a baryon excess in the visible sector. The antibaryonic hidden states are stable dark matter. A spectacular signature of this mechanism is the baryon-destroying inelastic scattering of dark matter that can annihil…
High-luminosity fixed-target neutrino experiments present a new opportunity to search for light sub-GeV dark matter and associated new forces. We analyze the physics reach of these experiments to light leptophobic dark states coupled to the Standard Model via gauging the $U(1)_B$ baryon current. When the baryonic vector is light, and can decay to dark matter, we find that the MiniBooNE experiment in its current beam-dump configuration can extend sensitivity to the baryonic fine structure constant down to $α_B\sim 10^{-6}$. This is significantly below the existing limits over much of the sub-Ge…
The interference effect between leptonic radiative corrections and hadronic polarization functions is calculated via optical theorem for $μ-$pair productions. It is achieved within the use of the last data for $σ_h(e^+e^-\rightarrow hadrons)$ from SND,CMD,CMD-2,BABAR and BESSIII experimental Collaborations. The paper takes into account specific experimental conditions and the result is compared with KLOE experiment for $μ^{-}μ^{+}$ production at $ϕ$ meson energy. Small, but non-negligible tension between theory and experiment is discussed.
We suggest the existence of a fundamental connection between baryonic and dark matter. This is motivated by both the stability of these two types of matter as well as the observed similarity of their present-day densities. A unified genesis of baryonic and dark matter is natural in models in which the baryon number is promoted to a spontaneously broken local gauge symmetry. This is illustrated in a specific class of SUSY models using the Affleck-Dine mechanism. The dark matter candidate in these scenarios is charged under the baryon gauge symmetry and must have a mass around the GeV scale to g…
Given an accelerator-based neutrino experiment with the beam energy E \lesssim 1 GeV, we expand the probabilities of ν_μ\to ν_e and \overline ν_μ\to \overline ν_e oscillations in matter in terms of two small quantities Δ_{21}/Δ_{31} and A/Δ_{31}, where Δ_{21} \equiv m^2_2 - m^2_1 and Δ_{31} \equiv m^2_3 - m^2_1 are the neutrino mass-squared differences, and A measures the strength of terrestrial matter effects. Our analytical approximations are numerically more accurate than those made by Freund in this energy region, and thus they are particularly applicable for the study of leptonic CP viola…
A GeV gamma-ray excess has possibly been individuated in Fermi-LAT data from the Galactic Center and interpreted in terms of Dark Matter (DM) annihilations, either in hadronic (essentially $b\bar{b}$) or leptonic channels. In order to test this tantalizing interpretation, we address two issues: (i) we improve the computation of secondary emission from DM (Inverse Compton and Bremsstrahlung) with respect to previous works, confirming it to be very relevant for determining the DM spectrum in the leptonic channels, so that any conclusion on the DM nature of the signal critically depends on this c…
We review the present status for the determinations of the light and heavy quark masses, the light quark chiral condensate and the decay constants of light and heavy-light (pseudo)scalar mesons from QCD spectral sum rules (QSSR). Bounds on the light quark running masses at 2 GeV are found to be: 6 MeV<(m_d+m_u)(2)<11 MeV and 71 MeV<m_s(2)<148 MeV. The agreement of the ratio m_s/(m_u+m_d)=24.2 from pseudoscalar sum rules with the one (24.4\pm 1.5) from ChPT indicates the consistency of the pseudoscalar sum rule approach. QSSR predictions from different channels for the light quark running masse…
