Operator growth in a quantum compass model on a Bethe lattice

The time evolution of local operators in quantum compass models is characterized by simplicity as it can be represented as expanding and contracting strings of operators. Here we present an analytical solution to the problem of growth of a local energy operator in a quantum compass model on a Bethe lattice. We find a linear increase in time of the average operator length and a diffusive spreading of the operator length distribution. By a moment method we evaluate the local energy autocorrelation function that shows a Lorentzian shape at low frequencies. Furthermore, by a stochastic method we visualize the expansion of the string cloud.

Growth models on the Bethe lattice

I report on an extensive numerical investigation of various discrete growth models describing equilibrium and nonequilibrium interfaces on a substrate of a finite Bethe lattice. An unusual logarithmic scaling behavior is observed for the nonequilibrium models describing the scaling structure of the infinite dimensional limit of the models in the Kardar-Parisi-Zhang (KPZ) class. Logarithmic entanglement growth from disorder-free localization in the two-leg compass ladder

We explore the finite-temperature dynamics of the quasi-1D orbital compass and plaquette Ising models. We map these systems onto a model of free fermions coupled to strictly localized spin-1/2 degrees of freedom. At finite temperature, the localized degrees of freedom act as emergent disorder and localize the fermions. Explosive percolations on the Bethe Lattice

Based on the self-consistent equations of the order parameter $P_\infty$ and the mean cluster size $S$, we develop a novel self-consistent simulation (SCS) method for arbitrary percolation on the Bethe lattice (infinite homogeneous Cayley tree). Agglomerative percolation on the Bethe lattice and the triangular cactus

We study the agglomerative percolation (AP) models on the Bethe lattice and the triangular cactus to establish the exact mean-field theory for AP. Using the self-consistent simulation method, based on the exact self-consistent equation, we directly measure the order parameter $P_{\infty}$ and average cluster size $S$. Universal fluctuation of the average height in the early-time regime of the one-dimensional Kardar-Parisi-Zhang-type growth

The statistics of the average height fluctuation of the one-dimensional Kardar-Parisi-Zhang(KPZ)-type surface is investigated. Guided by the idea of local stationarity, we derive the scaling form of the characteristic function in the early-time regime, $t\ll N^{3/2}$ with $t$ time and $N$ the system size, from the known characteristic function in the stationary state ($t\gg N^{3/2}$) of the single-step model derivable from a Bethe Ansatz solution, and thereby find the scaling properties of the cumulants and the large deviation function in the early-time regime. Lifshitz tails on the Bethe lattice: a combinatorial approach

The density of states of disordered hopping models generically exhibits an essential singularity around the edges of its support, known as a Lifshitz tail. We study this phenomenon on the Bethe lattice, i.e. for the large-size limit of random regular graphs, converging locally to the infinite regular tree, for both diagonal and off-diagonal disorder. The exponential growth of the volume and surface of balls on these lattices is an obstacle for the techniques used to characterize the Lifshitz tails in the finite-dimensional case. Surface growth on treelike lattices and the upper critical dimension of the KPZ class

Euclidean operator growth and quantum chaos

We consider growth of local operators under Euclidean time evolution in lattice systems with local interactions. We derive rigorous bounds on the operator norm growth and then proceed to establish an analog of the Lieb-Robinson bound for the spatial growth. In contrast to the Minkowski case when ballistic spreading of operators is universal, in the Euclidean case spatial growth is system-dependent and indicates if the system is integrable or chaotic. Replica Bethe Ansatz solution to the Kardar-Parisi-Zhang equation on the half-line

Free-energy distribution of the directed polymer at high temperature

We study the directed polymer of length $t$ in a random potential with fixed endpoints in dimension 1+1 in the continuum and on the square lattice, by analytical and numerical methods.
