I discuss the possible effects of a finite density of localised near-zero Dirac modes in the chiral limit of gauge theories with $N_f$ degenerate fermions. Localisation of Dirac eigenmodes and confinement in gauge theories: the Roberge-Weiss transition

Ample numerical evidence from lattice calculations shows a strong connection between the confining properties of gauge theories at finite temperature and the localisation properties of the low-lying Dirac eigenmodes. Massive Nambu-Goldstone Fermions and Bosons for Non-relativistic Superconformal Symmetry: Jackiw-Pi Vortices in a Trap

We discuss a supersymmetric extension of a non-relativistic Chern-Simons matter theory, known as the SUSY Jackiw-Pi model, in a harmonic trap. We show that the non-relativistic version of the superconformal symmetry, called the super-Schrödinger symmetry, is not spoiled by an external field including the harmonic potential. It survives as a modified symmetry whose generators have explicit time dependences determined by the strength of the trap, the rotation velocity of the system and the fermion number chemical potential. Continuum Goldstone spectrum of two-color QCD at finite density with staggered quarks

We carry out lattice simulations of two-color QCD and spectroscopy at finite density with two flavors of rooted-staggered quarks and a diquark source term. As in a previous four-flavor study, for small values of the inverse gauge coupling we observe a Goldstone spectrum which reflects the symmetry-breaking pattern of a Gaussian symplectic chiral random-matrix ensemble (GSE) with Dyson index $β_D=4$, which corresponds to any-color QCD with adjoint quarks in the continuum instead of QC$_2$D wih fundamental quarks. Towards top-down holographic composite Higgs: minimal coset from maximal supergravity

Within the context of top-down holography, we study a one-parameter family of regular background solutions of maximal gauged supergravity in seven dimensions, dimensionally reduced on a 2-torus.
