Different from the usual tetraquark assignment to charged $Z_c(3885)$ and $Z_c(4025)$ charmoniumlike structures, in this letter we propose a universal non-resonant explanation to decode these $Z_c$'s, which is based on a special dynamical behavior of $e^+e^-\to D^{(*)}\bar{D}^*π$. Our study shows that $Z_c(3885)$ and $Z_c(4025)$ are only the reflection from the $P$-wave charmed meson $D_1(2420)$ involved in $e^+e^-\to D^{(*)}\bar{D}^*π$. Obviously, the present work provides a unique perspective, which can be examined by future experiments like BESIII and BelleII.
Charmonium is a bound state of a charmed quark and a charmed antiquark, and a charmoniumlike state is a resonant structure that contains a charmed quark and antiquark pair but has properties that are incompatible with a conventional charmonium state. While operating at center-of-mass energies from 2 to 4.9 GeV, the BESIII experiment can access a wide mass range of charmonium and charmoniumlike states, and has contributed significantly in this field. We review BESIII results involving conventional charmonium states, including the first observation of M1 transition $ψ(3686) \to γη_c(2S)$ and the…
In this letter, we decode the newly observed charmoniumlike states, $Y(4320)$ and $Y(4390)$, by introducing interference effect between $ψ(4160)$ and $ψ(4415)$, which plays a role of resonance killer for $Y(4320)$ and $Y(4390)$. It means that two newly reported charmoniumlike states are not genuine resonances, according to which we can naturally explain why two well-established charmonia $ψ(4160)$ and $ψ(4415)$ are missing in the cross sections of $e^+e^- \to π^+ π^- J/ψ$ and $π^+ π^- h_c$ simultaneously. To well describe the detailed data of these cross sections around $\sqrt{s}=4.2$ GeV, our…
We investigate the processes $e^+e^-$$\to$$γJ/ψϕ$, $γJ/ψω$ and $π^0 J/ψη$ to search for the charmnium-like states with hidden $s\bar{s}$, such as $Y(4140)$, $Y(4274)$, $X(4350)$ and $X(3915)$. These processes will receive contributions from the charmed-strange meson rescatterings. When the center-of-mass energies of the $e^+e^-$ scatterings are taken around the $D_{s0}(2317)D_s^{*}$, $D_{s1}(2460)D_s$ or $D_{s1}(2460)D_s^{*}$ threshold, the anomalous triangle singularities can be present in the rescattering amplitudes, which implies a non-resonance explanation about the resonance-like structur…
The broad $1^{--}$ resonant structure around 1.5GeV observed in the $K^+ K^-$ mass spectrum in $J/ψ\to K^+ K^-π^0$ by BESII is interpreted as a composition of $ρ(1450)$ and $ρ(1700)$. Various tests are investigated.
After Y(4630) is discovered, theorists have given various explanations. We find that if Y(4630) is interpreted as the D-wave resonant state of $Λ_c \bar Λ_c$ system, the particle mass, decay width and all quantum numbers are consistent with experimental observations. We use the Bonn approximation to get the interaction potential of one boson exchange model, then extend the complex scaling method (CSM) to calculate the bound and resonant states. The results indicate that the $Λ_c \barΛ_c$ system can form not only the bound state of S wave, but also the resonant state of the high angular momentu…
It is emphasized that the $E_ν$ (neutrino energy) spectrum of the $ν_e$ survival probability in the Resonant Spin-Flavor Precession (RSFP) scenario has very desirable shape to reconcile all existing solar neutrino data. As the result, the RSFP scenario is shown to have rather broad allowed region to reconcile the data in the ($B,\ Δm^2$) plane, with $B$ being the magnetic field strength inside the Sun. The sensitivity of the allowed region on the different choices of the $B$ profile, and the time variations of the solar neutrino event rates in the RSFP scenario are also discussed in some detai…
We generalize the framework of chiral effective field theory to study the interactions of the isovector $D^\ast\bar{D}^{(\ast)}$ and $B^\ast\bar{B}^{(\ast)}$ systems up to the next-to-leading order, in which the long-, mid-, and short-range force contributions as well as the $S$-$D$ wave mixing are incorporated. Based on the Lippmann-Schwinger equation, we fit the invariant mass distributions of the elastic channels measured by the BESIII and Belle Collaborations. Our results indicate that the four charged charmoniumlike and bottomoniumlike states $Z_c(3900)$, $Z_c(4020)$ and $Z_b(10610)$, $Z_…
We study the visible photon production from the viscous dissipation of the dark matter (DM) fluid. The visible photon production depends on the magnitude of the dark matter viscosity and becomes important at the late times. We argue that for sufficiently large dark matter viscosity, the number of the resonantly converted visible photons becomes large which populates the Rayleigh-Jeans (RJ) tails of the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) radiation. Consequently, these excess visible photons possibly can explain the reported EDGES anomaly in the 21 cm signal. Further, we explore the parameter spa…
Most of the popular explanations of the observed anomalies in the semileptonic $B$-meson decays involve TeV scale Leptoquarks (LQs). Among the various possible LQ models, two particular LQs -- $S_{1}(3, 1, 1/3)$ and $U_{1}(3, 1, 2/3)$ seem to be most promising. Here, we use current LHC data to constrain the $S_{1}(3, 1, 1/3)$ and $U_{1}(3, 1, 2/3)$ parameter spaces relevant for the $R_{D^{(*)}}$ observables. We recast the latest ATLAS $ττ$ resonance search data to obtain new exclusion limits. For this purpose, we consider both resonant (pair and single productions) and non-resonant ($t$-channe…
New data for X(3872) production in B decays provide a separation between X production and decay, sharpen several experimental puzzles and impose serious constraints on all models. Both charged and neutral B decays produce a narrow neutral resonant state that decays to both J/ψρand J/ψω, while no charged resonances in the same multiplet are found. This suggests that the X is an isoscalar resonance whose production conserves isospin, while isospin is violated only in the decay by an electromagnetic interaction allowing the isospin-forbidden J/ψρdecay. A tetraquark isoscalar X model is proposed w…
We first present a non-resonant description to charmonium-like structure $Y(4360)$ in the $ψ(2S)π^+π^-$ invariant mass spectrum of the $e^+e^-\to ψ(2S)π^+π^-$ process. The $Y(4360)$ structure is depicted well by the interference effect of the production amplitudes of $e^{+} e^{-} \to ψ(2S) π^+ π^-$ via the intermediate charmonia $ψ(4160)/ψ(4415)$ and direct $e^+e^-$ annihilation into $ψ(2S)π^+ π^-$. This fact shows that $Y(4360)$ is not a genuine resonance, which naturally explains why $Y(4360)$ was only reported in its hidden-charm decay channel $ψ(2S)π^+π^-$ and was not observed in the exclu…
In a previous paper we suggested an explanation for the peak designated as $Z(4430)^+$ in the $ψ^\primeπ^+$ mass spectrum, observed by Belle in ${\bar{\!B}} \to {ψ^\prime} π^+ K$ decays, as an effect of $\bar{\!D}{}^{\,*0}D^{\,+} \to ψ^\primeπ^+$ rescattering in the decays ${\bar{\!B}} \to {D_{s}^{\,\prime -}} {D}$, where the $D_{s}^{\,\prime -}$ is an as-yet unobserved radial excitation of the pseudoscalar ground state $D_{s}^{\,-}$-meson. In this paper, we demonstrate that this hypothesis provides an explanation of the double $Z^+$-like peaking structures, which were studied by LHCb with muc…
A convincing explanation for the observed pulsar large peculiar velocities is still missing. We argue that any viable particle physics solution would most likely involve the resonant production of a non-interacting neutrino $ν_s$ of mass $m_{ν_s}\sim 20$--50 keV. We propose a model where anisotropic magnetic field configurations strongly bias the resonant spin flavour precession of tau antineutrinos into $ν_s$. For internal magnetic fields $B_{int} \gsim 10^{15}$ G a $\barν_τ$-$ν_s$ transition magnetic moment of the order of $10^{-12}$ Bohr magnetons is required. The asymmetric emission of $ν_…
Inspired by the recent observation of $χ_{c0}(3930)$, $X(4685)$ and $X(4630)$ by the LHCb Collaboration and some exotic resonances such as $X(4350)$, $X(4500)$, etc. by several experiment collaborations, the $cs\bar{c}\bar{s}$ tetraquark systems with $IJ^{P}=00^+$, $01^+$ and $02^+$ are systematically investigated in the framework of the quark delocalization color screening model(QDCSM). Two structures, the meson-meson and diquark-antidiquark structures, as well as the channel-coupling of all channels of these two configurations are considered in this work. The numerical results indicate that …
Resonant production of a light, narrow techni-rho, followed by the decay $ρ_T \rightarrow W+π_T(jj)$ has been proposed as an explanation of the Wjj excess observed by CDF. If the $π_T$ decays to $τ+ν/τ^+ τ^-$ rather than to jets, subsequent leptonic $τ$ decay leads to $\ell^+\ell^- νν\barν\barν$, a final state that will be picked up by standard model $WW^{(*)} \rightarrow \ell^+\ell^-$ + MET Higgs searches. We point out that, for the same range of technicolor parameters required to fit the CDF Wjj excess, the correlated $\ell^+\ell^-$ + MET technicolor signal can have strength comparable to th…
There are four models of tree-level new physics (NP) that can potentially simultaneously explain the $b \to s μ^+ μ^-$ and $b \to c τ^- {\barν}$ anomalies. They are the S3, U3 and U1 leptoquarks (LQs), and a triplet of SM-like vector bosons (VBs). Under the theoretical assumption that the NP couples predominantly to the third generation, previous analyses found that, when constraints from other processes are taken into account, the S3, U3 and VB models cannot explain the B anomalies, but U1 is viable. In this paper, we reanalyze these models, but without any assumption about their couplings. W…
