Frequency comb generation through the locking of domain walls in doubly resonant dispersive optical parametric oscillators

In this letter we theoretically investigate the formation of localized temporal dissipative structures, and their corresponding frequency combs in doubly resonant dispersive optical parametric oscillators. We derive a nonlocal mean field model, and show that domain wall locking allows for the formation of stable coherent optical frequency combs.

Non-local and local temporal cavity soliton interaction in delay models of mode-locked lasers

Abstract Interaction equations governing slow time evolution of the coordinates and phases of two interacting temporal cavity solitons in a delay differential equation model of a nonlinear mirror mode-locked laser are derived and analyzed. It is shown that non-local pulse interaction due to gain depletion and recovery can lead either to a development of harmonic mode-locking regime, or to a formation of closely packed incoherent soliton bound state with weakly oscillating intersoliton time separation. Dark quadratic localized states and collapsed snaking in doubly resonant dispersive cavity enhanced second harmonic generation

We theoretically investigate the dynamics, bifurcation structure and stability of quadratic dark localized dissipative states arising in cavity enhanced second-harmonic generation. These states, formed through the locking of plane front waves, undergo collapsed homoclinic snaking and may exhibit oscillatory dynamics.
