Some of the generalized dualities are known in the literature and many others are new to the best of our knowledge. The dualities are connected to the non-supersymmetric bosonization duality via mass deformations. For $N=1$, there are an infinite number of magnetic-dual theories.

Giveon and Kutasov have found the type IIA intersecting nonsupersymmetric meta-stable brane configuration where the electric gauge theory superpotential has a quartic term as well as the mass term for quarks. We generalize the Giveon-Kutasov duality for the 3d $\mathcal{N}=3$ $U(N)_{k,k+nN}$ Chern-Simons matter gauge theory with $F$ fundamental hypermultiplets by introducing $SU(N)$ and $U(1)$ Chern-Simons levels differently. We study the supersymmetric partition functions and the superconformal indices of the duality, which supports the validity of the duality proposal. From the duality, we can map out the low-energy phases: For example, confinement appears for $F+k-N=-n=1$ or $N=2F=k=-n=2$. We solve, for finite $N$, the matrix model of supersymmetric $U(N)$ Chern-Simons theory coupled to $N_{f}$ massive hypermultiplets of $R$-charge $\frac{1}{2}$, together with a Fayet-Iliopoulos term. We compute the partition function by identifying it with a determinant of a Hankel matrix, whose entries are parametric derivatives (of order $N_{f}-1$) of Mordell integrals. We obtain finite Gauss sums expressions for the partition functions. We compute the thermal free energy for all renormalizable Chern Simon theories coupled to a single fundamental bosonic and fermionic field in the 't Hooft large N limit. We use our results to conjecture a strong weak coupling duality invariance for this class of theories. Our conjectured duality reduces to Giveon Kutasov duality when restricted to {\cal N}=2 supersymmetric theories and to an earlier conjectured bosonization duality in an appropriate decoupling limit. We study Seiberg-like dualities for 3d N=2 theories with flavors in fundamental and adjoint representations. The recent results of Intriligator and Seiberg provide a derivation of an Aharony duality from a Giveon-Kutasov duality. We extend their result to the case of more general theories involving various masses for fundamental quarks and adjoint fields. We use localization techniques to study several duality proposals for supersymmetric gauge theories in three dimensions reminiscent of Seiberg duality. We compare the partition functions of dual theories deformed by real mass terms and FI parameters. We find that Seiberg-like duality for N=3 Chern-Simons gauge theories proposed by Giveon and Kutasov holds on the level of partition functions and is closely related to level-rank duality in pure Chern-Simons theory. We study the duality of $\mathcal{N}=1$ gauge theories in the presence of a massless adjoint field and massive quarks by calculating the superpotential using the Dighkgraaf-Vafa matrix model and by comparing with the previous result coming from Kutasov duality. The Kutasov duality method gives a result in which one instanton term is absent. The matrix model method confirms it and also show that the absence of the one instanton term is related to the masslessness of the adjoint field.

We revisit non-Abelian T-duality for non-semisimple groups, where it is well-known that a mixed gravitational-gauge anomaly leads to $σ$-models that are scale, but not Weyl-invariant. We study the patterns in the duality of a wide class of N=1 supersymmetric gauge theories in four dimensions. We present many new generalizations of the classic duality models of Kutasov and Schwimmer, which have themselves been generalized numerous times in works of Intriligator, Leigh and the present authors. We study scattering amplitudes in two-dimensional string theory on a black hole bakground. We start with a simple derivation of the Fateev-Zamolodchikov-Zamolodchikov (FZZ) duality, which associates correlation functions of the sine-Liouville integrable model on the Riemann sphere to tree-level string amplitudes on the Euclidean two-dimensional black hole. Kutasov--type duals of supersymmetric gauge theories had been studied only in the dual regime and the s-confining case. Here we extend the discussion to the case of less flavor, analogous to the case of quantum-modified moduli space in Seiberg duality. Unlike the Seiberg duality, however, we find that parts of the moduli space become superconformal, generalizing the so far isolated example of SU(2) theory with two doublets and a triplet. We also point out that the magnetic superpotential needs to be augmented by an additional instanton-generated piece when the magnetic group is SU(2).
