The addition of $SU(2)_L$ triplet fermions of zero hypercharge with the Standard Model (SM) helps to explain the origin of the neutrino mass by the so-called seesaw mechanism. Such a scenario is commonly know as the type-III seesaw model. After the electroweak symmetry breaking the mixings between the light and heavy mass eigenstates of the neutral leptons are developed which play important roles in the study of the charged and neutral multiplets of the triplet fermions at the colliders. In this article we study such interactions to produce these multiplets of the triplet fermion at the electron-positron and electron-proton colliders at different center of mass energies. We focus on the heavy triplets, for example, having mass in the TeV scale so that their decay products including the SM the gauge bosons or Higgs boson can be sufficiently boosted, leading to a fat jet. Hence we probe the mixing between light-heavy mass eigenstates of the neutrinos and compare the results with the bounds obtained by the electroweak precision study.
The type-III see-saw model holding out a riveting rationale for the minuscule neutrino masses caters for a well-to-do phenomenology at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). Several searches targetting the triplet fermions have been performed at the LHC. Not only are the signals for the leptonic final states considered in these searches suppressed by the branching fractions of the Standard Model (SM) bosons, but they are also beset with considerably large SM backgrounds. Thus, these searches are deemed not to be sensitive enough in probing the triplet fermions much heavier than 1 TeV. To this end, w…
We perform a detailed study of scalar dark matter with triplet Higgs extensions of the Standard Model in order to explain the cosmic ray electron and positron excesses reported by AMS-02 and DAMPE. A detailed analysis of AMS-02 positron excess reveals that for different orderings (normal, inverted and quasi-degenerate) of neutrino mass, the hybrid triplet Higgs portal framework is more favored with respect to the single triplet Higgs portal for TeV scale dark matter. We also show that the resonant peak and continuous excess in DAMPE cosmic ray data can be well explained with the hybrid triplet…
In a Dark left-right gauge model, the neutral component of right-handed lepton doublet is odd under generalized R-parity and thus the lightest one serves as the dark matter (DM) candidate. The coannihilation of the dark matter with the singly charged Higgs triplet produces the correct relic abundance. We explain AMS-02 positron excess by the annihilation of 800 GeV dark matter into $μ^+μ^-γ$, through a t-channel exchange of the additional charged triplet Higgs boson. The DM is leptophilic which is useful for explaining the non-observation of any antiproton excess which would generically be exp…
We study the signatures of the triplet-quadruplet dark matter model at the LHC and future colliders, including the 100 TeV Super Proton-Proton Collider and the 240 GeV Circular Electron Positron Collider. The dark sector in this model contains one fermionic electroweak triplet and two fermionic quadruplets, which have two kinds of Yukawa couplings to the Higgs doublet. Electroweak production signals of the dark sector fermions in the $\text{monojet}+/\!\!\!\!E_\mathrm{T}$, disappearing track, and $\text{multilepton}+/\!\!\!\!E_\mathrm{T}$ channels at the LHC and the Super Proton-Proton Collide…
The 100th anniversary of Bruno Touschek's birth also marks 60 years since the first beams of electrons and positrons circulated in AdA, the first ever matter-antimatter collider built in Frascati National Laboratories following Touschek's visionary proposal of February 1960. A brief biography, an extensive bibliography, and a description of archives containing documents related to the life and science of the father of electron-positron physics are presented.
We study the collider phenomenology of the electroweak phase transition and electroweak baryogenesis in the framework of the effective field theory. Our study shows that the effective theory using the dimension-6 operators can enforce strong first order phase transition and provide sizable CP violation to realize a successful electroweak baryogenesis. Such dimension-6 operators can induce interesting Higgs phenomenology that can be verified at colliders such as the LHC and the planning CEPC. We then demonstrate that this effective theory can originate from vector-like quarks and the triplet Hi…
The signatures of heavy fermionic triplets ($Σ$) arising in scenarios like Type III seesaw model are probed through their direct production and subsequent decay at high energy electron-positron collider. Unlike the case of LHC, the production process has strong dependence on the mixing parameter ($V_{e,μ}$), making the leptonic collider unique to probe such mixing. We have established that with suitably chosen kinematic cuts, a 1 TeV $e^+e^-$ collider could probe the presence of $Σ$ of mass in the range of 500 GeV having $V_e=0.05$ with a few inverse femto barn luminosity through single produc…
Polarized and unpolarized observables in the process of the triplet photoproduction on a free electron, $γ+e\to e+e+e$, have been calculated in the laboratory system. These observables are calculated in the approximation when the Borsellino and $γ-e$ diagrams are taken into account. Using the method of the invariant integration over the produced electron-positron pair variables, the different distributions were obtained in the analytical form. We obtain the double distribution over the $q^2$ (the square of the four-momentum transfer to the recoil electron) and $Q^2$ (the created $e^+e^-$-pair …
We study associated Higgs production with a photon at electron-positron colliders, $e^+e^-\to hγ$, in various extended Higgs models, such as the inert doublet model (IDM), the inert triplet model (ITM) and the two Higgs doublet model (THDM). The cross section in the standard model (SM) is maximal around $\sqrt{s}=$250 GeV, and we present how and how much the new physics can enhance or reduce the production rate. We also discuss the correlation with the $h\toγγ$ and $h\to Zγ$ decay rates. We find that, with a sizable coupling to a SM-like Higgs boson, charged scalars can give considerable contr…
A gauged U$(1)$ extension of the Standard Model (SM) is a simple and anomaly free framework where three generations of Majorana type right-handed neutrinos (RHNs) are introduced to generate light neutrino mass and flavor mixings through the seesaw mechanism. We investigate such models at different hadron and lepton colliders via $Z^\prime$ induced Majorana type RHNs pair production. We derive bounds on U$(1)$ gauge coupling $(g^\prime)$ comparing the model cross sections with experimentally observed data for different $Z^\prime$ mass $(M_{Z^\prime})$ and RHNs mass $(M_N)$. Using these limits w…
On the numerical analysis of triplet pair production cross-sections and the mean energy of produced particles for modelling electron-photon cascade in a soft photon field
We consider the extension of the Standard Model (SM) with an inert Higgs doublet that also contains two or three sets of $SU(2)_L$ triplet fermions with hypercharge zero and analyze the stability of electroweak vacuum for the scenarios. The model represents a Type-III inverse seesaw mechanism for neutrino mass generation with a Dark matter candidate. An effective potential approach calculation with two-loop beta function have been carried out in deciding the fate of the electroweak vacuum. Weak gauge coupling $g_2$ shows a different behaviour as compared to the Standard Model. The modified runn…

Extending the Standard Model with right-handed neutrinos (RHNs) is well motivated by the observation of neutrino oscillations. In the type-I seesaw model, the RHNs interact with the SM particles via tiny mixings with the active neutrinos, which makes their discovery in the laboratory, and in particular at collider experiments in general challenging. In this work we instead consider an extension of the type-I seesaw model with the addition of a leptoquark (LQ), and employ a non-minimal production mechanism of the RHN via LQ decay, which is unsuppressed by neutrino mixing. We focus on relatively…
The DArk Matter Particle Explorer (DAMPE) has reported a measurement of the flux of high energy cosmic ray electrons plus positrons (CREs) in the energy range between $25$ GeV and $4.6$ TeV. With unprecedented high energy resolution, the DAMPE data exhibit an excess of the CREs flux at an energy of around $1.4$ TeV. In this letter, we discuss how the observed excess can be understood in a minimal framework where the Standard Model (SM) is supplemented by a stable SM singlet scalar as dark matter (DM) and type II seesaw for generating the neutrino mass matrix. In our framework, a pair of DM par…
