Electric Charge Screening By Non-Minimal Couplings Of Electromagnetic Fields To Gravity

A case of non-minimal couplings between gravity and electromagnetic fields is presented. The field equations are worked out in the language of exterior differential forms. An exact charge screening class of solutions is given with a specific discussion on the polarisation and magnetisation of spacetime. The consequences of non-minimal couplings to gravity are examined.

Screening away the $H_0$ tension

This Essay explores consequences of a dark non-linear electromagnetic sector in a Universe with a net dark charge for matter. The cosmological dynamics can be described by a Lemaître model and understood thanks to a screening mechanism driven by the electromagnetic non-linearities that suppress the dark force on small scales. Gravitational and electromagnetic radiation from an electrically charged black hole in general nonlinear electrodynamics

We derive the equations for the odd and even parity perturbations of coupled electromagnetic and gravitational fields of a black hole with an electric charge within the context of general nonlinear electrodynamics. Electromagnetic Duality and the Electric Memory Effect

We study large gauge transformations for soft photons in quantum electrodynamics which, together with the helicity operator, form an ISO(2) algebra. We show that the two non-compact generators of the ISO(2) algebra correspond respectively to the residual gauge symmetry and its electromagnetic dual gauge symmetry that emerge at null infinity. Gravitational and electromagnetic radiation from binary black holes with electric and magnetic charges: Circular orbits on a cone

We derive the equations of motion of dyonic black hole binaries with electric and magnetic charges and explore features of static orbits. By using a Newtonian method with the inclusion of radiation reaction, we calculate the total emission rate of energy and angular momentum due to gravitational radiation and electromagnetic radiation for circular orbits.
