On an extension of a global implicit function theorem

Openness Stability and Implicit Multifunction Theorems. Applications to Variational Systems

In this paper we aim to present two general results regarding, on one hand, the openness stability of set-valued maps and, on the other hand, the metric regularity behavior of the implicit multifunction related to a generalized variational system. Then, these results are applied in order to obtain, in a natural way, and in a widely studied case, several relations between the metric regularity moduli of the field maps defining the variational system and the solution map. Our approach allows us to complete and extend several very recent results in literature.

An implicit multifunction theorem for the hemiregularity of mappings with application to constrained optimization

The present paper contains some investigations about a uniform variant of the notion of metric hemiregularity, the latter being a less explored property obtained by weakening metric regularity. A Nash-Moser-Hörmander implicit function theorem with applications to control and Cauchy problems for PDEs

We prove an abstract Nash-Moser implicit function theorem which, when applied to control and Cauchy problems for PDEs in Sobolev class, is sharp in terms of the loss of regularity of the solution of the problem with respect to the data. The proof is a combination of: (i) the iteration scheme by Hörmander (ARMA 1976), based on telescoping series, and very close to the original one by Nash; (ii) a suitable way of splitting series in scales of Banach spaces, inspired by a simple, clever trick used in paradifferential calculus (for example, by Métivier). Implicit function theorem for nonlinear time-delay systems with algebraic constraints

In this note, we discuss a generalization of the well-known implicit function theorem to the time-delay case. We show that the latter problem is closely related to the bicausal changes of coordinates of time-delay systems. An iterative algorithm is proposed to check the conditions and to construct the desired bicausal change of coordinates for the proposed implicit function theorem. Moreover, we show that our results can be applied to delayed differential-algebraic equations (DDAEs) to reduce their indices and to get their solutions. Some numerical examples are given to illustrate our results.

On the isolated calmness property of implicitly defined multifunctions

The paper deals with an extension of the available theory of SCD (subspace containing derivatives) mappings to mappings between spaces of different dimensions. This extension enables us to derive workable sufficient conditions for the isolated calmness of implicitly defined multifunctions around given reference points.
