The moduli spaces of compact and connected Riemann surfaces has been a central topic in modern mathematics in recent years. Thus their homological dimensions become important invariants. Motivated by the emergence mathematical counterparts of open-closed string theory, we give an estimate of rational homological dimension of Riemann suraces with possible boundary and marked points(can lie on both interior and boundary). We hope it will have applications in open-closed theory, for example, open-closed Gromov-Witten theory in the future.

Generating Functional in CFT on Riemann Surfaces II: Homological Aspects

We revisit and generalize our previous algebraic construction of the chiral effective action for Conformal Field Theory on higher genus Riemann surfaces. We show that the action functional can be obtained by evaluating a certain Deligne cohomology class over the fundamental class of the underlying topological surface. Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov-Bernard equations on Riemann surfaces

Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov-Bernard equations for twisted conformal blocks on compact Riemann surfaces with marked points are written explicitly in a general projective structure in terms of correlation functions in the theory of twisted b-c systems. Isomonodromic deformations of the sl(2) Fuchsian systems on the Riemann sphere

This paper is devoted to two geometric constructions related to the isomonodromic method. We follow the Drinfeld ideas and develop them in the case of the curve $X=\mathbb{P}^1\setminus\{a_1,...,a_n\}$. Elements of a global operator approach to the WZWN theory for compact Riemann surfaces of arbitrary genus $g$ are given. Tessellations of Moduli Spaces and the Mosaic Operad

We construct a new (cyclic) operad of `mosaics' defined by polygons with marked diagonals. Its underlying (aspherical) spaces are the sets of real points of the moduli space of punctured Riemann spheres, which are naturally tiled by Stasheff associahedra. We (combinatorially) describe them as iterated blow-ups and show that their fundamental groups form an operad with similarities to the operad of braid groups.
