We provide a framework to study the interfaces imposed by Dobrushin boundary conditions on the half-plane version of the Ising model on random triangulations with spins on vertices. Using the combinatorial solution by Albenque, Ménard and Schaeffer ([2]) and the generating function methods introduced by Chen and Turunen ([8], [9]), we show the local weak convergence of such triangulations of the disk as the perimeter tends to infinity, and study the interface imposed by the Dobrushin boundary condition. As a consequence of this analysis, we verify the heuristics of physics literature that discrete interface of the model in the high-temperature regime resembles the critical site percolation interface, as well as provide an explicit scaling limit of the interface length at the critical temperature, which coincides with results on the continuum Liouville Quantum gravity surfaces. Overall, this model exhibits simpler structure than the model with spins on faces, as well as demonstrates the robustness of the methods developed in [8], [9].
Recent works have shown that random triangulations decorated by critical ($p=1/2$) Bernoulli site percolation converge in the scaling limit to a $\sqrt{8/3}$-Liouville quantum gravity (LQG) surface (equivalently, a Brownian surface) decorated by SLE$_6$ in two different ways: 1. The triangulation, viewed as a curve-decorated metric measure space equipped with its graph distance, the counting measure on vertices, and a single percolation interface converges with respect to a version of the Gromov-Hausdorff topology. 2. There is a bijective encoding of the site-percolated triangulation by means …
The spin-1/2 Ising-Heisenberg model on diamond-like decorated Bethe lattices is exactly solved with the help of decoration-iteration transformation and exact recursion relations. It is shown that the model under investigation exhibits reentrant phase transitions whenever a sufficiently high coordination number of the underlying Bethe lattice is considered.
We introduce a transfer matrix formalism for the (annealed) Ising model coupled to two-dimensional causal dynamical triangulations. Using the Krein-Rutman theory of positivity preserving operators we study several properties of the emerging transfer matrix. In particular, we determine regions in the quadrant of parameters beta, mu >0 where the infinite-volume free energy converges, yielding results on the convergence and asymptotic properties of the partition function and the Gibbs measure.
In [arXiv:1806.06668], we have studied the Boltzmann random triangulation of the disk coupled to an Ising model on its faces with Dobrushin boundary condition at its critical temperature. In this paper, we investigate the phase transition of this model by extending our previous results to arbitrary temperature: We compute the partition function of the model at all temperatures, and derive several critical exponents associated with the infinite perimeter limit. We show that the model has a local limit at any temperature, whose properties depend drastically on the temperature. At high temperatur…
We consider Boltzmann random triangulations coupled to the Ising model on their faces, under Dobrushin boundary conditions and at the critical point of the model. The first part of this paper computes explicitly the partition function of this model by solving its Tutte's equation, extending a previous result by Bernardi and Bousquet-Mélou to the model with Dobrushin boundary conditions. We show that the perimeter exponent of the model is 7/3 in contrast to the exponent 5/2 for uniform triangulations. In the second part, we show that the model has a local limit in distribution when the two comp…
The paper discusses the transformation of decorated Ising models into an effective \textit{undecorated} spin models, using the most general Hamiltonian for interacting Ising models including a long range and high order interactions. The inverse of a Vandermonde matrix with equidistant nodes $[-s,s]$ is used to obtain an analytical expression of the transformation. This kind of transformation is very useful to obtain the partition function of decorated systems. The method presented by Fisher is also extended, in order to obtain the correlation functions of the decorated Ising models transformin…
We study site percolation on Angel & Schramm's uniform infinite planar triangulation. We compute several critical and near-critical exponents, and describe the scaling limit of the boundary of large percolation clusters in all regimes (subcritical, critical and supercritical). We prove in particular that the scaling limit of the boundary of large critical percolation clusters is the random stable looptree of index 3/2, which was introduced in a companion paper. We also give a conjecture linking looptrees of any index in (1,2) with scaling limits of cluster boundaries in random triangulations d…
In this article we propose a general transformation for decorated spin models. The advantage of this transformation is to perform a direct mapping of a decorated spin model onto another effective spin thus simplifying algebraic computations by avoiding the proliferation of unnecessary iterative transformations and parameters that might otherwise lead to transcendental equations. Direct mapping transformation is discussed in detail for decorated Ising spin models as well as for decorated Ising-Heisenberg spin models, with arbitrary coordination number and with some constrained Hamiltonian's par…
We investigate the geometry of a typical spin cluster in random triangulations sampled with a probability proportional to the energy of an Ising configuration on their vertices, both in the finite and infinite volume settings. This model is known to undergo a combinatorial phase transition at an explicit critical temperature, for which its partition function has a different asymptotic behavior than uniform maps. The purpose of this work is to give geometric evidence of this phase transition. In the infinite volume setting, called the Infinite Ising Planar Triangulation, we exhibit a phase tran…
This paper extends results obtained by [15] for the annealed Ising model coupled to two-dimensional causal dynamical triangulations. We employ the Fortuin-Kasteleyn (FK) representation in order to determine a region in the quadrant of parameters $β,μ>0$ where the critical curve for the annealed model is possibly located. This is done by outlining a region where the model has a unique infinite-volume Gibbs measure, and a region where the finite-volume Gibbs measure does not have weak limit (in fact, does not exist if the volume is large enough). We also improve the region of subcritical behavio…
We investigate a Gibbs (annealed) probability measure defined on Ising spin configurations on causal triangulations of the plane. We study the region where such measure can be defined and provide bounds on the boundary of this region (critical line). We prove that for any finite random triangulation the magnetization of the central spin is sensitive of the boundary conditions. Furthermore, we show that in the infinite volume limit, the magnetization of the central spin vanishes for values of the temperature high enough.
We show that the introduction of triangulations with variable connectivity and fluctuating egde-lengths (Random Regge Triangulations) allows for a relatively simple and direct analyisis of the modular properties of 2 dimensional simplicial quantum gravity. In particular, we discuss in detail an explicit bijection between the space of possible random Regge triangulations (of given genus g and with N vertices) and a suitable decorated version of the (compactified) moduli space of genus g Riemann surfaces with N punctures. Such an analysis allows us to associate a Weil-Petersson metric with the s…
We give bijections between bipolar-oriented (acyclic with unique source and sink) planar maps and certain random walks, which show that the uniformly random bipolar-oriented planar map, decorated by the "peano curve" surrounding the tree of left-most paths to the sink, converges in law with respect to the peanosphere topology to a $\sqrt{4/3}$-Liouville quantum gravity surface decorated by an independent Schramm-Loewner evolution with parameter $κ=12$ (i.e., SLE$_{12}$). This result is universal in the sense that it holds for bipolar-oriented triangulations, quadrangulations, $k$-angulations, …
The XOR-Ising model on a graph consists of random spin configurations on vertices of the graph obtained by taking the product at each vertex of the spins of two independent Ising models. In this paper, we explicitly relate loop configurations of the XOR-Ising model and those of a dimer model living on a decorated, bipartite version of the Ising graph. This result is proved for graphs embedded in compact surfaces of genus g. Using this fact, we then prove that XOR-Ising loops have the same law as level lines of the height function of this bipartite dimer model. At criticality, the height functi…
Let $Q$ be a free Boltzmann quadrangulation with simple boundary decorated by a critical ($p=3/4$) face percolation configuration. We prove that the chordal percolation exploration path on $Q$ between two marked boundary edges converges in the scaling limit to chordal SLE$_6$ on an independent $\sqrt{8/3}$-Liouville quantum gravity disk (equivalently, a Brownian disk). The topology of convergence is the Gromov-Hausdorff-Prokhorov-uniform topology, the natural analog of the Gromov-Hausdorff topology for curve-decorated metric measure spaces. We also obtain analogous scaling limit results for fa…
The search for universality in random triangulations of manifolds, like those featuring in (Euclidean) Dynamical Triangulations, is central to the random geometry approach to quantum gravity. In case of the 3-sphere, or any other manifold of dimension greater than two for that matter, the pursuit is held back by serious challenges, including the wide open problem of enumerating triangulations. In an attempt to bypass the toughest challenges we identify a restricted family of triangulations, of which the enumeration appears less daunting. In a nutshell, the family consists of triangulated 3-sph…
In this paper we study the annealed coupling of an Ising model with 2-dimensional causal dynamical triangulation model. After a short review of previous results, we prove the existence of the so-called critical line and derive its analytical properties and asymptotics. In addition, relations between the model and its dual are investigated.
