Self-Organized Criticality paradigm is a plausible picture for hadron production. A power-law behavior of hadron transverse momentum spectra and an approximate scaling observed for different hadrons in high energy hadronic collisions are discussed.
In high energy nuclear collisions, production rates of light nuclei as well as those of hadrons and hadronic resonances agree with the predictions of an ideal gas at a temperature T = 155 +/- 10 MeV. In an equilibrium medium of this temperature, light nuclei cannot survive. We propose that the observed behavior is due to an evolution in global non-equilibrium, leading to self-organized criticality. At the confinement point, the initial quark-gluon medium becomes quenched by the vacuum, breaking up into all allowed free hadronic and nuclear mass states, without formation of any subsequent therm…
It is suggested that the colorless systems of interacting soft-gluons in large-rapidity-gap events are open dynamical complex systems in which self-organized criticality and BTW-clusters play an important role. Theoretical arguments and experimental evidences supporting such a statistical approach to deep-inelastic scattering are presented.

The electron, which has been pictured as an elementary particle ever since J.J. Thomson's e/m-measurement in 1897, and the relativistic motion of which is described by the Dirac equation, is discussed in the light of the recent progress made in Science of Complex Systems. Theoretical arguments and experimental evidences are presented which show that such an electron exhibits characteristic properties of spatiotemporal complexities due to Self-Organized Criticality (SOC). This implies in particular that, conceptually and logically, it is neither possible nor meaningful to identify such an objec…
We argue that atmospheric cascades can be regarded as example of the self-organized criticality and studied by using Levy flights and nonextensive approach. It allows us to understand the scale-invariant energy fluctuations inside cascades in a natural way.
In high energy nuclear collisions, production rates of light nuclei agree with the predictions of an ideal gas at a temperature $T=155 \pm 10$ MeV. In an equilibrium hadronic medium of this temperature, light nuclei cannot survive. In this contribution, we suggest that the observed behavior is due to an evolution in global non-equilibrium, leading to self-organized criticality and to hadron formation as an absorbing state phase transition for color degrees of freedom. At the confinement point, the initial quark-gluon medium becomes quenched by the vacuum, breaking up into all allowed free hadr…
It is proposed, that color-singlet gluon-clusters can be formed in hadrons as a consequence of self-organized criticality (SOC) in systems of interacting soft gluons, and that the properties of such spatiotemporal complexities can be probed experimentally by examing inelastic diffractive scattering. Theoretical arguments and experimental evidences supporting the proposed picture are presented --- together with the result of a systematic analysis of the existing data for inelastic diffractive scattering processes performed at different incident energies, and/or by using different beam-particles…
It is pointed out, that color-singlet gluon clusters can be formed in hadrons as a consequence of self-organized criticality (SOC) in systems of interacting soft gluons, and that the properties of such spatiotemporal complexities can be probed experimentally by examing inelastic diffractive scattering. Theoretical arguments and experimental evidence supporting the proposed picture are presented. As a consequence of the space-time properties of the color-singlet gluon clusters due to SOC in gluon systems, a simple analytical formula for the differential cross section for inelastic diffractive h…
