Off-shell BRST-VSUSY superalgebra for D=4 BF theories in the superconnection formalism

We propose the superconnection formalism to construct the off-shell BRST-VSUSY superalgebra for D=4 BF theories. The method is based on the natural introduction of physical fields as well as auxiliary fields via superconnections and their associated supercurvatures defined on a superspace. We also give a prescription to build the off-shell BRST-VSUSY exact quantum action.

The Higgs Mass, Superconnections and the TeV-scale Left-Right Symmetric Model

We discuss the physical implications of formulating the Standard Model (SM) in terms of the superconnection formalism involving the superalgebra su(2/1). In particular, we discuss the prediction of the Higgs mass according to the formalism and point out that it is ~170 GeV, in clear disagreement with experiment. To remedy this problem, we extend the formalism to the superalgebra su(2/2), which extends the SM to the left-right symmetric model (LRSM) and accommodates a ~126 GeV Higgs. The Higgs Mass and the Emergence of New Physics

We investigate the physical implications of formulating the electroweak (EW) part of the Standard Model (SM) in terms of a superconnection involving the supergroup SU(2/1). In particular, we relate the observed Higgs mass to new physics at around 4 TeV. The ultraviolet incompleteness of the superconnection approach points to its emergent nature. The new physics beyond the SM is associated with the emergent supergroup SU(2/2), which is natural from the point of view of the Pati-Salam model. Bosonic Higher Spin Gravity in any Dimension with Dynamical Two-Form

We first propose an alternative to Vasiliev's bosonic higher spin gravities in any dimension by factoring out a modified sp(2) gauge algebra. We evidence perturbative equivalence of the two models, which have the same spectrum of Fronsdal fields at the linearized level. We then embed the new model into a flat Quillen superconnection containing two extra master fields in form degrees one and two; more generally, the superconnection contains additional degrees of freedom associated to various deformations of the underlying non-commutative geometry. Double Copy of Form Factors and Higgs Amplitudes: A mechanism of turning spurious poles in Yang-Mills into physical poles in gravity

We extend the double copy picture of scattering amplitudes to a class of matrix elements (so-called form factors) that involve local gauge invariant operators. Both the Bern, Carrasco and Johansson (BCJ) and the Kawai, Lewellen and Tye (KLT) formalisms are considered and novel properties are observed. One remarkable feature is that through the double-copy construction, certain spurious poles hidden in the gauge form factors become physical propagators in gravity. This mechanism also reveals new hidden relations for form factors which can be understood as a generalization of the BCJ relations.
