We report on the determination of electron densities, and their impact on the outflow masses and rates, measured in the central few hundred parsecs of 11 local luminous active galaxies. We show that the peak of the integrated line emission in the AGN is significantly offset from the systemic velocity as traced by the stellar absorption features, indicating that the profiles are dominated by outflow. In contrast, matched inactive galaxies are characterised by a systemic peak and weaker outflow wing. We present three independent estimates of the electron density in these AGN, discussing the merits of the different methods. The electron density derived from the [SII] doublet is significantly lower than than that found with a method developed in the last decade using auroral and transauroral lines, as well as a recently introduced method based on the ionization parameter. The reason is that, for gas photoionized by an AGN, much of the [SII] emission arises in an extended partially ionized zone where the implicit assumption that the electron density traces the hydrogen density is invalid. We propose ways to deal with this situation and we derive the associated outflow rates for ionized gas, which are in the range 0.001--0.5 M$_{\odot}$yr$^{-1}$ for our AGN sample. We compare these outflow rates to the relation between $\dot{M}_{out}$ and $L_{AGN}$ in the literature, and argue that it may need to be modified and rescaled towards lower mass outflow rates.
We present the results from a systematic search and characterization of ionized outflows in nearby galaxies using the data from the second Data Release of the MaNGA Survey (DR2; > 2700 galaxies, z < 0.015). Using the spatially-resolved spectral information provided by the MANGA data, we have identified ~5200 Halpha-emitting regions across the galaxies and searched for signatures of ionized outflows. We find evidence for ionized outflows in 105 regions from 103 galaxies, roughly 7% of all the Halpha-emitting galaxies identified in this work. Our analysis allows us to study ionized outflows in i…
We study the kinematic properties of the ambient ionized ISM and ionized gas outflows in a large and representative sample of local luminous and ultraluminous infrared galaxies (U/LIRGs) (58 systems, 75 galaxies), on the basis of integral field spectroscopy (IFS)-based high S/N integrated spectra at galactic and sub-galactic, i.e. star forming (SF) clumps, scales. Ambient ionized gas. The velocity dispersion of the ionized ISM in U/LIRGs (<sigma> ~ 70 kms-1) is larger than in lower luminosity local star forming galaxies (<sigma> ~ 25 kms-1). While for isolated disc LIRGs star formation appears…
Post starburst E+A galaxies are systems that hosted a powerful starburst that was quenched abruptly. Simulations suggest that these systems provide the missing link between major merger ULIRGs and red and dead ellipticals, where AGN feedback is responsible for the expulsion or destruction of the molecular gas. However, many details remain unresolved and little is known about AGN-driven winds in this short-lived phase. We present spatially-resolved IFU spectroscopy with MUSE/VLT of SDSS J124754.95-033738.6, a post starburst E+A galaxy with a recent starburst that started 70 Myrs ago and ended 3…

We have identified ionized outflows in the narrow line region of all but one SDSS type 2 quasars (QSO2) at z<~0.1 (20/21, detection rate 95%), implying that this is a ubiquitous phenomenon in this object class also at the lowest z. The outflowing gas has high densities (n_e>1000 cm-3) and covers a region the size of a few kpc. This implies ionized outflow masses M~(0.3-2.4)x1e6 Msun and mass outflow rates M(dot)<few Msun yr-1. The triggering mechanism of the outflows is related to the nuclear activity. The QSO2 can be classified in two groups according to the behavior and properties of the out…
Whether high mass stars continue to accrete material beyond the formation of an HII region is still an open question. Ionized infall and outflow have been seen in some sources, but their ties to the surrounding molecular gas are not well constrained. We aim to quantify the ionized and molecular gas dynamics in a high mass star forming region (K3-50A) and their interaction. We present CARMA observations of the 3mm continuum, H41α, and HCO+ emission, and VLA continuum observations at 23 GHz and 14.7 GHz to quantify the gas and its dynamics in K3-50A. We find large scale dynamics consistent with …
Ionized outflows, revealed by broad asymmetric wings of the [OIII] line, are commonly observed in AGN but the low intrinsic spatial resolution of observations has generally prevented a detailed characterization of their properties. The MAGNUM survey aims at overcoming these limitations by focusing on the nearest AGN, including NGC 1365, a nearby Seyfert galaxy (D~17 Mpc), hosting a low-luminosity AGN (Lbol ~ 2x10^43 erg/s). We want to obtain a detailed picture of the ionized gas in the central ~5 kpc of NGC 1365 in terms of physical properties, kinematics, and ionization mechanisms. We also ai…
We present images at 6 and 14 GHz of Source I in Orion-KL. At higher frequencies, from 43 to 340 GHz, images of this source are dominated by thermal emission from dust in a 100 AU diameter circumstellar disk, but at 6 and 14 GHz the emission is elongated along the minor axis of the disk, aligned with the SiO bipolar outflow from the central object. Gaussian fits to the 6, 14, 43, and 99 GHz images find a component along the disk minor axis whose flux and length vary with frequency consistent with free-free emission from an ionized outflow. The data favor a broad outflow from a disk wind, rathe…
We report the discovery of an infrared (IR)-bright dust-obscured galaxy (DOG) that shows a strong ionized-gas outflow but no significant molecular gas outflow. Based on detail analysis of their optical spectra, we found some peculiar IR-bright DOGs that show strong ionized-gas outflow ([OIII]$λ$5007) from the central active galactic nucleus (AGN). For one of these DOGs (WISE J102905.90+050132.4) at $z_{\rm spec} = 0.493$, we performed follow-up observations using ALMA to investigate their CO molecular gas properties. As a result, we successfully detected $^{12}$CO($J$=2-1) and $^{12}$CO($J$=4-…

Low excitation radio galaxies (LERGs) are weakly accreting active galactic nuclei (AGN) believed to be fuelled by radiatively inefficient accretion processes. Despite this, recent works have shown evidence for ionized and neutral hydrogen gas outflows in these galaxies. To investigate the potential drivers of such outflows we select a sample of 802 LERGs using the Best & Heckman (2012) catalogue of radio galaxies. By modelling the [O III] $λ5007$ profile in Sloan Digital Sky Survey spectra of a sample of 802 LERGs, we determine that the ionized outflows are present in $\sim 1.5\%$ of the popul…
We present constraints on the molecular outflows in a sample of five Hyper-Luminous Infrared Galaxies using Herschel observations of the OH doublet at 119 μm. We have detected the OH doublet in three cases: one purely in emission and two purely in absorption. The observed emission profile has a significant blueshifted wing suggesting the possibility of tracing an outflow. Out of the two absorption profiles, one seems to be consistent with the systemic velocity while the other clearly indicates the presence of a molecular outflow whose maximum velocity is about ~1500 km/s. Our analysis shows th…
We investigate the ionized gas kinematics relationship with X-ray, radio and accreting properties using a sample of 348 nearby ($z < 0.4$) SDSS-FIRST-X-ray detected AGNs. X-ray properties of our sample are obtained from XMM-$Newton$, $Swift$ and $Chandra$ observations. We unveil the ionized gas outflows in our sample manifested by the non-gravitational broad component in [OIII] $λ$5007$\overset{\circ}{A}$. emission line profiles. From the comparison of the correlation of non-parametric outflow velocities (i.e., the velocity width, the maximal velocity of outflow and line dispersion) with X-ray…
NGC 7538 IRS 1 is a very young embedded O star driving an ionized jet and accreting mass with an accretion rate > 10^-4 Msun/year, which is quenching the hypercompact HII region. We use SOFIA GREAT data, Herschel PACS and SPIRE archive data, SOFIA FORCAST archive data, Onsala 20m and CARMA data, and JCMT archive data to determine the properties of the O star and its outflow. IRS 1 appears to be a single O-star with a bolometric luminosity > 1 10^5 Lsun, i.e. spectral type O7 or earlier. We find that IRS 1 drives a large molecular outflow with the blue-shifted northern outflow lobe extending to…
We present a detailed study of ionized outflows in a large sample of ~650 hard X-ray detected AGN. Using optical spectroscopy from the BAT AGN Spectroscopic Survey (BASS) we are able to reveal the faint wings of the [OIII] emission lines associated with outflows covering, for the first time, an unexplored range of low AGN bolometric luminosity at low redshift (z~0.05). We test if and how the incidence and velocity of ionized outflow is related to AGN physical parameters: black hole mass, gas column density, Eddington Ratio, [OIII], X-ray, and bolometric luminosities. We find a higher occurrenc…
The Ly$α$ line is an important diagnostic for star formation at high redshift, but interpreting its flux and line profile is difficult because of the resonance nature of Ly$α$. Trends between the escape of Ly$α$ photons and dust and properties of the interstellar medium (ISM) have been found, but detailed comparisons between Ly$α$ emission and the properties of the gas in local high-redshift analogs are vital for understanding the relation between Ly$α$ emission and galaxy properties. For the first time, we can directly infer the properties of the ionized gas at the same location and similar s…
Using data from the MOSFIRE Deep Evolution Field (MOSDEF) survey, we present a census of AGN-driven ionized outflows in a sample of 159 AGNs at $1.4 \le z \le 3.8$. The sample spans AGN bolometric luminosities of $10^{44-47} \mathrm{~erg~s}^{-1}$ and includes both quiescent and star-forming galaxies extending across three orders of magnitude in stellar mass. We identify and characterize outflows from the \hbeta, [OIII], \halpha ~and [NII] emission line spectra. We detect outflows in $17\%$ of the AGNs, seven times more often than in a mass-matched sample of inactive galaxies in MOSDEF. The out…
We present a systematic study of ionized gas outflows based on the velocity shift and dispersion of the [O III] λ5007 $Å$ emission line, using a sample of ~ 5000 Type 1 AGNs at z < 0.3 selected from Sloan Digital Sky Survey. This analysis is supplemented by the gas kinematics of Type 2 AGNs from Woo et al. (2016). For the majority of Type 1 AGNs (i.e., ~ 89%), the [O III] line profile is best represented by a double Gaussian model, presenting the kinematic signature of the non-virial motion. Blueshifted [O III] is more frequently detected than redshifted [O III] by a factor of 3.6 in Type 1 AG…
The role of feedback from Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN) in the evolution of galaxies is still not not fully understood, mostly due to the lack of observational constraints in the multi-phase gas kinematics on the ten to hundred parsec scales. We have used the Gemini Near-infrared Integral Field Spectrograph (NIFS) to map the molecular and ionized gas kinematics in the inner 900$\times$900 pc$^2$ of the Seyfert galaxy NGC1275 at a spatial resolution of $\sim$70 pc. From the fitting of the CO absorption bandheads in the K-band, we derive a stellar velocity dispersion of $265\pm26$ km s$^{-1}$, wh…
Spectral-timing techniques have proven valuable in studying the interplay between the X-ray corona and the accretion disc in variable active galactic nuclei (AGN). Under certain conditions, photo-ionized outflows emerging from central AGN regions also play a role in the observable spectral-timing properties of the nuclear components. The variable ionizing flux causes the intervening gas to ionize or recombine, resulting in a time-dependent absorption spectrum. Understanding the spectral-timing properties of these outflows is critical for the determination of their role in the AGN environment, …
We report molecular line observations in the CO J=3$\rightarrow$2, 6$\rightarrow$5 and 7$\rightarrow$6 transitions, made using the Atacama Pathfinder Experiment Telescope (APEX), toward the massive and dense core IRAS 16562$-$3959. This core harbors a string of radio sources thought to be powered by a central collimated jet of ionized gas. The molecular observations show the presence of high velocity gas exhibiting a quadrupolar morphology, most likely produced by the presence of two collimated outflows. The southeast-northwest molecular outflow is aligned with the string of radio continuum so…
We investigate the presence of extended ionized outflows in 18 luminous type 2 AGNs (11 quasars and 7 high luminosity Seyfert 2s) at 0.3<z<0.6 based on VLT-FORS2 spectroscopy. We infer typical lower limits on the radial sizes of the outflows R>=severalx100 pc and upper limits R<1-2 kpc. Our results are inconsistent with related studies which suggest that large scale R~several-15 kpc are ubiquitous in QSO2. We study the possible causes of discrepancy and propose that seeing smearing is the cause of the large inferred sizes. The implications in our understanding of the feedback phenomenon are im…
BOSS-EUVLG1 is the most ultraviolet (UV) and Ly$α$ luminous galaxy detected so far in the Universe, going through a very active starburst phase, and forming stars at a rate (SFR) of 955 $\pm$ 118 M$_{\odot}$ yr$^{-1}$. We report the detection of a broad H$α$ component carrying 25% of the total H$α$ flux. The broad H$α$ line traces a fast and massive ionized gas outflow characterized by a total mass, $\log(M_{out}[M_{\odot}]),$ of 7.94 $\pm$ 0.15, an outflowing velocity (V$_{out}$) of 573 $\pm$ 151 km s$^{-1}$, and an outflowing mass rate ($\dot{M}_{out}$) of 44 $\pm$ 20 M$_{\odot}$ yr$^{-1}$. …
The most luminous quasars (with bolometric luminosities are 1E47 erg/s) show a high prevalence of CIV λ1549 and [OIII]λλ4959,5007 emission line profiles with strong blueshifts. Blueshifts are interpreted as due to Doppler effect and selective obscuration, and indicate outflows occurring over a wide range of spatial scales. We found evidence in favor of the nuclear origin of the outflows diagnosed by [OIII]λλ 4959,5007. The ionized gas mass, kinetic power, and mechanical thrust are extremely high, and suggest widespread feedback effects on the host galaxies of very luminous quasars, at cosmic e…
Nuclear outflows driven by accreting massive black holes are one of the main feedback mechanisms invoked at high-z to reproduce the distinct separation between star-forming, disk galaxies and quiescent spheroidal systems. Yet, our knowledge of feedback at high-z remains limited by the lack of observations of the multiple gas phases in galaxy outflows. In this work we use new deep, high-spatial resolution ALMA CO(3-2) and archival VLT/SINFONI H$α$ observations to study the molecular and ionized components of the AGN-driven outflow in zC400528 ---a massive, main sequence galaxy at z=2.3 in the p…

Using a large sample of emission line galaxies selected from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey, we investigate the kinematics of the neutral gas in the interstellar medium (ISM) based on the Na I$λλ$5890,5896 (Na D) doublet absorption line. By removing the Na D contribution from stellar atmospheres, we isolate the line profile of the Na D excess, which represents the neutral gas in the ISM. The kinematics traced by the Na D excess show high velocity and velocity dispersion for a fraction of galaxies, indicating the presence of neutral gas outflows. We find that the kinematics measured from the Na D…
We aim to map the distribution and kinematics of molecular and ionized gas in a sample of active galaxies, to quantify the nuclear inflows and outflows. Here, we analyze the nuclear kinematics of NGC 1566 via ALMA observations of the CO J:2-1 emission at 24 pc spatial and $\sim$2.6 km s$^{-1}$ spectral resolution, and Gemini-GMOS/IFU observations of ionized gas emission lines and stellar absorption lines at similar spatial resolution, and 123 km s$^{-1}$ of intrinsic spectral resolution. The morphology and kinematics of stellar, molecular (CO) and ionized ([N II]) emission lines are compared t…
The Seyfert 1 galaxy NGC 7469 possesses a prominent nuclear starburst ring and a luminous active galactic nucleus (AGN). Evidence of an outflow in the innermost nuclear region has been found in previous works. We detect the ionized gas outflow on a larger scale in the galaxy using the archival VLT/MUSE and {\em Chandra} observations. The optical emission lines are modeled using two Gaussian components, and a non-parametric approach is applied to measure the kinematics of [O III] and $\rm Hα$ emitting gas. Line ratio diagnostics and spatially resolved maps are derived to examine the origin of t…
Active galactic nuclei (AGN) can launch outflows of ionized gas that may influence galaxy evolution, and quantifying their full impact requires spatially resolved measurements of the gas masses, velocities, and radial extents. We previously reported these quantities for the ionized narrow-line region (NLR) outflows in six low-redshift AGN, where the gas velocities and extents were determined from Hubble Space Telescope long-slit spectroscopy. However, calculating the gas masses required multi-component photoionization models to account for radial variations in the gas densities, which span $\s…
AGN-driven outflows are considered as one of the processes driving the co-evolution of supermassive black holes with their host galaxies. We present integral field spectroscopy of six Type 2 AGNs at z < 0.1, which are selected as AGNs without strong outflows based on the kinematics of [Oiii] gas. Using spatially resolved data, we investigate the ionized gas kinematics and photoionization properties in comparison with AGNs with strong outflows. We find significant differences between the kinematics of ionized gas and stars for two AGNs, which indicates the presence of AGN-driven outflows. Never…
We analyze Multi Unit Spectroscopic Explorer observations of nine low-redshift (z < 0.1) Palomar-Green quasar host galaxies to investigate the spatial distribution and kinematics of the warm, ionized interstellar medium, with the goal of searching for and constraining the efficiency of active galactic nucleus (AGN) feedback. After separating the bright AGN from the starlight and nebular emission, we use pixel-wise, kpc-scale diagnostics to determine the underlying excitation mechanism of the line emission, and we measure the kinematics of the narrow-line region (NLR) to estimate the physical p…
The Seyfert 2 galaxy NGC 5252 contains a recently identified ultra-luminous X-ray (ULX) source that has been suggested to be a possible candidate off-nuclear low-mass active galactic nucleus. We present follow-up optical integral-field unit observations obtained using GMOS on the Gemini-North telescope. In addition to confirming that the ionized gas in the vicinity of the ULX is kinematically associated with NGC 5252, the new observations reveal ordered motions consistent with rotation around the ULX. The close coincidence of the excitation source of the line-emitting gas with the position of …
Young radio AGN are pivotal for our understanding of many of the still-debated aspects of AGN feedback. In this paper we present a study of the interstellar medium in the compact, peaked-spectrum radio galaxy PKSB1934-63 using X-shooter observations. Most of the warm ionized gas resides within a circum-nuclear disk with a radius of about 200pc that is likely to constitute the gas reservoir from which the central black hole feeds. On the other hand, we find a biconical outflow of warm ionized gas with an estimated radius of 59+/-12pc. This matches the radial extent of the radio source and sugge…
We characterize the ionized gas outflows in 15 low-redshift star-forming galaxies, a Valparaíso ALMA Line Emission Survey (VALES) subsample, using MUSE integral field spectroscopy and GAMA photometric broadband data. We measure the emission-line spectra by fitting a double-component profile, with the second and broader component being related to the outflowing gas. This interpretation is in agreement with the correlation between the observed star-formation rate surface density ($Σ_{\mathrm{SFR}}$) and the second-component velocity dispersion ($σ_{\mathrm{2nd}}$), expected when tracing the feed…
We study the ionization structure of galactic outflows in 37 nearby, star forming galaxies with the Cosmic Origins Spectrograph on the Hubble Space Telescope. We use the O I, Si II, Si III, and Si IV ultraviolet absorption lines to characterize the different ionization states of outflowing gas. We measure the equivalent widths, line widths, and outflow velocities of the four transitions, and find shallow scaling relations between them and galactic stellar mass and star formation rate. Regardless of the ionization potential, lines of similar strength have similar velocities and line widths, ind…
We report ALMA and SMA observations of the luminous infrared merger NGC 3256, the most luminous galaxy within z=0.01. Both of the two merger nuclei separated by 5" (0.8 kpc) on the sky have a compact concentration of molecular gas, i.e., nuclear disks with Sigma_mol > 10^3 Msun pc^-2. The one at the northern nucleus is face-on while the southern nuclear disk is almost edge-on. The northern nucleus is more massive and has molecular arcs and spiral arms around. The high-velocity molecular gas previously found in the system is resolved to two molecular outflows associated with each of the two nuc…
Based on new near-infrared spectroscopic data from the instrument EMIR on the 10.4 m Gran Telescopio Canarias (GTC) we report the presence of an ionized and warm molecular outflow in the luminous type-2 quasar J150904.22+043441.8 (z = 0.1118). The ionized outflow is faster than its molecular counterpart, although the outflow sizes that we derive for them are consistent within the errors (1.34$\pm$0.18 kpc and 1.46$\pm$0.20 kpc respectively). We use these radii, the broad emission-line luminosities and in the case of the ionized outflow, the density calculated from the trans-auroral [OII] and […
We study the multi-phase feedback processes in the central ~3 kpc of the barred Sy 2 galaxy NGC 5643. We use observations of the cold molecular gas (ALMA CO(2-1)) and ionized gas (MUSE IFU). We study different regions along the outflow zone which extends out to ~2.3 kpc in the same direction (east-west) as the radio jet, as well as nuclear/circumnuclear regions in the host galaxy disk. The deprojected outflowing velocities of the cold molecular gas (median Vcentral~189 km s^-1) are generally lower than those of the outflowing ionized gas, which reach deprojected velocities of up to 750 km s^-1…
We investigate the ionized gas excitation and kinematics in the inner $4.3 \times 6.2$ kpc$^{2}$ of the merger radio galaxy 4C +29.30. Using optical integral field spectroscopy with the Gemini North Telescope, we present flux distributions, line-ratio maps, peak velocities and velocity dispersion maps as well as channel maps with a spatial resolution of $\approx 955$ pc. We observe high blueshifts of up to $\sim -650$ km s$^{-1}$, in a region $\sim 1''$ south of the nucleus (the southern knot, SK), which also presents high velocity dispersions ($\sim 250$ km s$^{-1}$), which we attribute to an…
This paper investigates the neutral gas phase of galactic winds via the Na I D$λλ5890,5895$Å feature within $z \sim 0.04$ MaNGA galaxies, and directly compares their incidence and strength to the ionized winds detected within the same parent sample. We find evidence for neutral outflows in 127 galaxies ($\sim 5$ per cent of the analysed line-emitting sample). Na I D winds are preferentially seen in galaxies with dustier central regions and both wind phases are more often found in systems with elevated SFR surface densities, especially when there has been a recent upturn in the star formation a…
We present the detection and morphological characterization of hot molecular gas outflows in nearby ultra-luminous infrared galaxies, using the near-IR integral-field spectrograph SINFONI on the VLT. We detect outflows observed in the 2.12 micron H$_{2}$ 1-0 S(1) line for three out of four ULIRGs analyzed; IRAS 12112+0305, 14348-1447, and 22491-1808. The outflows are mapped on scales of 0.7-1.6 kpc, show typical outflow velocities of 300-500 km/s, and appear to originate from the nuclear region. The outflows comprise hot molecular gas masses of ~6-8x10$^3$ M(sun). Assuming a hot-to-cold molecu…
The global influence of AGN-driven outflows remains uncertain, due to a lack of large samples with accurately-determined outflow properties. In the second paper of this series, we determine the mass and energetics of ionized outflows is 234 type II AGN, the largest such sample to date, by combining the infrared emission of the dust in the wind (paper I) with the emission line properties. We provide new general expressions for the properties of the outflowing gas, which depend on the ionization state of the gas. We also present a novel method to estimate the electron density in the outflow, bas…

We report the detection of an ionized gas outflow from an $X$-ray active galactic nucleus (AGN) hosted in a massive quiescent galaxy in a protocluster at $z=3.09$ (J221737.29+001823.4). It is a type-2 QSO with broad ($W_{80}>1000$ km s$^{-1}$) and strong ($\log (L_{\rm [OIII]}$ / erg s$^{-1})\approx43.4$) [O {\footnotesize III}]$λλ$4959,5007 emission lines detected by slit spectroscopy in three-position angles using Multi-Object Infra-Red Camera and Spectrograph (MOIRCS) on the Subaru telescope and the Multi-Object Spectrometer For Infra-Red Exploration (MOSFIRE) on the Keck-I telescope. In th…
We present the ionized gas properties of infrared (IR)-bright dust-obscured galaxies (DOGs) that show an extreme optical/IR color, $(i - [22])_{\rm AB} > 7.0$, selected with the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) and Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE). For 36 IR-bright DOGs that show [OIII]$λ$5007 emission in the SDSS spectra, we performed a detailed spectral analysis to investigate their ionized gas properties. In particular, we measured the velocity offset (the velocity with respect to the systemic velocity measured from the stellar absorption lines) and the velocity dispersion of the […
AGN feedback, acting through strong outflows accelerated in the nuclear region of AGN hosts, is invoked as a key ingredient for galaxy evolution by many models to explain the observed BH-galaxy scaling relations. Recently, some direct observational evidence of radiative mode feedback in action has been finally found in quasars at $z$>1.5. However, it is not possible to study outflows in quasars at those redshifts on small scales ($\lesssim$100 pc), as spatial information is limited by angular resolution. This is instead feasible in nearby active galaxies, which are ideal laboratories to explor…
We present new upgraded Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope (uGMRT) HI 21-cm observations of the ultra-luminous infrared galaxy IRAS 10565+2448, previously reported to show blueshifted, broad, and shallow HI absorption indicating an outflow. Our higher spatial resolution observations have localised this blueshifted outflow, which is $\sim$ 1.36 kpc southwest of the radio centre and has a blueshifted velocity of $\sim 148\,\rm km\,s^{-1}$ and a full width at half maximum (FWHM) of $\sim 581\,\rm km\,s^{-1}$. The spatial extent and kinematic properties of the HI outflow are consistent with the previ…
