We introduce the generalized Heisenberg algebra $\mathcal{H}_n$ and construct realizations of the orthogonal and Lorentz algebras by power series in a semicompletion of $\mathcal{H}_n$. The obtained realizations are given in terms of the generating functions for the Bernoulli numbers. We also introduce an extension of the orthogonal and Lorentz algebras by quantum angles and study realizations of the extended algebras in $\mathcal{H}_n$. Furthermore, we show that by extending the generalized Heisenberg algebra $\mathcal{H}_n$ one can also obtain realizations of the Poincare algebra and its extension by quantum angles.
It is noted that the single-variable Heisenberg commutation relation contains the symmetry of the $Sp(2)$ group which is isomorphic to the Lorentz group applicable to one time-like dimension and two space-like dimensions, known as the $O(2,1)$ group. According to Paul A. M. Dirac, from the uncertainty commutation relations for two variables, it possible to construct the de Sitter group $O(3,2)$, namely the Lorentz group applicable to three space-like variables and two time-like variables. By contracting one of the time-like variables in $O(3,2)$, it is possible, to construct the inhomogeneous …
The Lorentz covariance of a non-linear, time-dependent relativistic wave equation is demonstrated; the equation has recently been shown to have highly interesting and significant empirical consequences. It is established here that an operator already exists which ensures the relativistic properties of the equation. Furthermore, we show that the time-dependent equation is gauge invariant. The equation however, breaks Poincare symmetry via time translation in a way consistent with its physical interpretation. It is also shown herein that the Casimir invariant PmuPmu of the Poincare group, which …
We deform Heisenberg algebra and corresponding coalgebra by twist. We present undeformed and deformed tensor identities. Coalgebras for the generalized Poincaré algebras have been constructed. The exact universal $R$-matrix for the deformed Heisenberg (co)algebra is found. We show, up to the third order in the deformation parameter, that in the case of $κ$-Poincaré Hopf algebra this $R$-matrix can be expressed in terms of Poincaré generators only. This implies that the states of any number of identical particles can be defined in a $κ$-covariant way.
We extend the Noether theory of invariants to the Poincare equations. We apply this extension to the Maxwell-Lorentz equations coupled to the Abraham rotating extended electron with the configuration space SO(3).

In this article we present a new C*-algebraic deformation of the Lorentz group. It is obtained by means of the Rieffel deformation applied to SL(2,C). We give a detailed description of the resulting quantum group in terms of generators - the quantum counterparts of the matrix coefficients of the fundamental representation of SL(2,C). In order to construct the most involved of four generators, we first define it on the quantum Borel subgroup, then on the quantum complement of the Borel subgroup and finally we perform the gluing procedure. In order to classify representations of the C*-algebra o…
We are focused on detailed analysis of the Weyl-Heisenberg algebra in the framework of bicrossproduct construction. We argue that however it is not possible to introduce full bialgebra structure in this case, it is possible to introduce non-counital bialgebra counterpart of this construction. Some remarks concerning bicrossproduct basis for kappa-Poincare Hopf algebra are also presented.
A Snyder model generated by the noncommutative coordinates and Lorentz generators close a Lie algebra. The application of the Heisenberg double construction is investigated for the Snyder coordinates and momenta generators. It leads to the phase space of the Snyder model. Further, the extended Snyder algebra is constructed by using the Lorentz algebra, in one dimension higher. The dual pair of extended Snyder algebra and extended Snyder group is then formulated. Two Heisenberg doubles are considered, one with the conjugate tensorial momenta and another with the Lorentz matrices. Explicit formu…
Algebra of quantum mechanics via classical phonons. II: Klein-Gordon dynamics, the Heisenberg formalism, the Dirac canonical commutation rule and the Poincare algebra through the continuous Poisson bracket formalism
Chiral fermions can be embedded into Souriau's massless spinning particle model by "enslaving" the spin, viewed as a gauge constraint. The latter is not invariant under Lorentz boosts; spin enslavement can be restored, however, by a subsequent Wigner-Souriau (WS) translation, analogous to a compensating gauge transformation. The combined transformation is precisely the recently uncovered twisted boost, which we now extend to finite transformations. WS-translations are identified with the stability group of a motion acting on the right on the Poincare group, whereas the natural Poincare action …
We present Lie-algebraic deformations of Minkowski space with undeformed Poincaré algebra. These deformations interpolate between Snyder and $κ$-Minkowski space. We find realizations of noncommutative coordinates in terms of commutative coordinates and derivatives. Invariants and tensors with respect to Lorentz algebra are discussed. A general mapping from $κ$-deformed Snyder to Snyder space is constructed. Deformed Leibniz rule, the coproduct structure and star product are found. Special cases, particularly Snyder and $κ$-Minkowski in Maggiore-type realizations are discussed.
A semi-simple tensor extension of the Poincaré algebra is given for the arbitrary dimensions $D$. It is illustrated that this extension is a direct sum of the $D$-dimensional Lorentz algebra $so(D-1,1)$ and $D$-dimensional anti-de Sitter (AdS) algebra $so(D-1,2)$. A supersymmetric also semi-simple $o(N)$ generalization of this extension is introduced in the D=4 dimensions. It is established that this generalization is a direct sum of the 4-dimensional Lorentz algebra $so(3,1)$ and orthosymplectic algebra $osp(N,4)$ (super-AdS algebra). Quadratic Casimir operators for the generalization are con…
We show a different modification of Poincare algebra that also preserves Lorentz algebra. The change begins with how boosts affect spacetime in a way similar to how they affect the momenta in kappa Poincare algebra, hence the term "dual kappa Poincare algebra". Since by construction the new spacetime commutes, it follows that the momenta co-commute. Proposing a spacetime co-algebra that is similar to the coproduct in the bicrossproduct basis of kappa Poincare algebra, we derive the phase space algebra using the Heisenberg double construction. The phase space variables of the dual kappa Poincar…
We construct realizations of the generators of the $κ$-Minkowski space and $κ$-Poincaré algebra as formal power series in the $h$-adic extension of the Weyl algebra. The Hopf algebra structure of the $κ$-Poincaré algebra related to different realizations is given. We construct realizations of the exterior derivative and one-forms, and define a differential calculus on $κ$-Minkowski space which is compatible with the action of the Lorentz algebra. In contrast to the conventional bicovariant calculus, the space of one-forms has the same dimension as the $κ$-Minkowski space.
We use factorisations of the local isometry groups arising in 3d gravity for Lorentzian and Euclidean signatures and any value of the cosmological constant to construct associated bicrossproduct quantum groups via semidualisation. In this way we obtain quantum doubles of the Lorentz and rotation groups in 3d, as well as kappa-Poincare algebras whose associated r-matrices have spacelike, timelike and lightlike deformation parameters. We confirm and elaborate the interpretation of semiduality proposed in [13] as the exchange of the cosmological length scale and the Planck mass in the context of …
