We study one- and two-body visibility measures under an optimization of common, i.e. global evolutions of a two-body system, and identify two different visibilities of two-body correlators, both behaving complementary to the usual onebody interference visibility. We show that only one of them satisfies the common inequality associated with a complementary relation, while the other one entails a contrary relation. This, however, can be understood in terms of entanglement between the constituents.

Demonstration of the Complementarity of One- and Two-Photon Interference

The visibilities of second-order (single-photon) and fourth-order (two-photon) interference have been observed in a Young's double-slit experiment using light generated by spontaneous parametric down-conversion and a photon-counting intensified CCD camera. Interference and complementarity for two-photon hybrid entangled states

In this work we generate two-photon hybrid entangled states (HES), where the polarization of one photon is entangled with the transverse spatial degree of freedom of the second photon. The photon pair is created by parametric down-conversion in a polarization-entangled state. Ramsey interferometry with atoms and molecules: two-body versus many-body phenomena

We discuss the frequency and visibility of atom-molecule Ramsey fringes observed in recent experiments by Claussen et al.[Phys. Rev. A 67, 060701 (2003)].
