We define a family of pseudodifferential operators on the Hilbert space $L^2(\mathbf{Q}_p)$ of complex valued square-integrable functions on the $p$-adic number field $\mathbf{Q}_p$. The Riemann zeta-function and the related Dirichlet $L$-functions can be expressed as a trace of these operators on a subspace of $L^2(\mathbf{Q}_p)$. We also extend this to the $L$-functions associated with modular (cusp) forms. Wavelets on $L^2(\mathbf{Q}_p)$ are common sets of eigenfunctions of these operators.
This article consists to give a necessary and sufficient condition of the meromorphic continuity of Dirichlet series defined as $\sum_{x\in \mathbf{N}^n} \frac{a_{x}}{P(x)^s}$, Where $a_{x}$ is a $q$-automatic sequence of $n$ parameters and $P: \mathbf{C}^n \to \mathbf{C}$ a polynomial, such that $P$ does not have zeros on $\mathbf{Q}^{n}_{+}$. And some specific cases of $n=1$ will also be studied in this article as examples to show the possibility to have an holomorphic continuity on the whole complex plane. Some equivalences between infinite products are also built as consequences of these r…
Given a prime $p$, and $v_p(a)$ stand for the $p$-adic valuation of the element $a$ in a finite extension $K$ of $\mathbf{Q}_p$, or more generally the field $\mathbf{C}_p$ which is the complete field of the algebraic closure $\mathbf{Q}_p$ with respect to the $p$-adic absolute value, denoted by $\lvert \cdot \rvert_p$. Let $F$ and $G$ be two ($p$-adic) power series with no common roots. We aim to estimate the maximal value $S$ and the minimal value $s$ of the function $ϕ(x)=\min(v_p(F(x)), v_p(G(x)))$ over various domains, namely open and closed unit discs of $K$ or $\mathbf{C}_p$. To do this,…
We consider the problem of explicitly computing dimensions of spaces of automorphic or modular forms in level one, for a split classical group $\mathbf{G}$ over $\mathbb{Q}$ such that $\mathbf{G}(\R)$ has discrete series. Our main contribution is an algorithm calculating orbital integrals for the characteristic function of $\mathbf{G}(\mathbb{Z}_p)$ at torsion elements of $\mathbf{G}(\mathbb{Q}_p)$. We apply it to compute the geometric side in Arthur's specialisation of his invariant trace formula involving stable discrete series pseudo-coefficients for $\mathbf{G}(\mathbb{R})$. Therefore we e…
We study from an algebraic point of view the question of extending an action of a group \(Γ\) on a commutative domain \(R\) to a formal pseudodifferential operator ring \(B=R(\!(x\,;\,d)\!)\) with coefficients in \(R\), as well as to some canonical quadratic extension \(C=R(\!(x^{1/2}\,;\,\frac 12 d)\!)_2\) of \(B\). We give a necessary and sufficient condition of compatibility between the action and the derivation $d$ of $R$ for such an extension to exist, and we determine all possible extensions of the action to \(B\) and \(C\). We describe under suitable assumptions the invariant subalgebra…
We generalize our previous method on subconvexity problem for $\mathrm{GL}_2 \times \mathrm{GL}_1$ with cuspidal representations to Eisenstein series, and deduce a Burgess-like subconvex bound for Hecke characters, i.e., the bound $|L(1/2,χ)| \ll_{\mathbf{F},ε} \mathbf{C}(χ)^{1/4-(1-2θ)/16+ε}$ for varying Hecke characters $χ$ over a number field $\mathbf{F}$ with analytic conductor $\mathbf{C}(χ)$. As a main tool, we apply the extended theory of regularized integral due to Zagier developed in a previous paper to obtain the relevant triple product formulas of Eisenstein series.
We give a necessary and sufficient condition for the integrality of the Taylor coefficients at the origin of formal power series $q_i({\mathbf z})=z_i\exp(G_i({\mathbf z})/F({\mathbf z}))$, with ${\mathbf z}=(z_1,...,z_d)$ and where $F({\mathbf z})$ and $G_i({\mathbf z})+\log(z_i)F({\mathbf z})$, $i=1,...,d$ are particular solutions of certain A-systems of differential equations. This criterion is based on the analytical properties of Landau's function (which is classically associated with the sequences of factorial ratios) and it generalizes the criterion in the case of one variable presented…
We employ the spectral theory of Eisenstein series to prove that the Hardy sums, integer-valued analogs of the classical Dedekind sums, are uniformly distributed in $\mathbf{Z} / m \mathbf{Z}$ for any integer $m > 1$.
We build a one-variable $p$-adic $L$-function attached to two Hida families of ordinary $p$-stabilised newforms $\mathbf{f}$, $\mathbf{g}$, interpolating the algebraic part of the central values of the complex $L$-series $L(f \otimes \textrm{Ad}(g), s)$ when $f$ and $g$ range over the classical specialisations of $\mathbf{f}$, $\mathbf{g}$ on a suitable line of the weight space. The construction rests on two major results: an explicit formula for the relevant complex central $L$-values, and the existence of non-trivial $Λ$-adic Shintani liftings and Saito--Kurokawa liftings studied in a previo…

Let $π$ be a cuspidal automorphic representation of $\mathrm{GSp}_4(\mathbf{A_Q})$, whose archimedean component is a holomorphic discrete series or limit of discrete series representation. If $π$ is not CAP or endoscopic, then we show that its associated $\ell$-adic Galois representations are irreducible and crystalline for $100\%$ of primes $\ell$. If, moreover, $π$ is neither an automorphic induction nor a symmetric cube lift, then we show that, for $100\%$ of primes $\ell$, the image of its mod $\ell$ Galois representation contains $\mathrm{Sp}_4(\mathbf{F}_{\ell})$.
In the first part of this work, we have considered a moduli space $B_g$ classifying principally polarized abelian varieties of dimension $g$ endowed with a symplectic-Hodge basis, and we have constructed the higher Ramanujan vector fields $(v_{kl})_{1\le k\le l \le g}$ on it. In this second part, we study these objects from a complex analytic viewpoint. We construct a holomorphic map $φ_g : \mathbf{H}_g \to B_g(\mathbf{C})$, where $\mathbf{H}_g$ denotes the Siegel upper half-space of genus $g$, satisfying the system of differential equations $\frac{1}{2πi}\frac{\partial φ_g}{\partial τ_{kl}}=v…
We extend the usual notion of Petersson inner product on the space of cuspidal Jacobi forms to include non-cuspidal forms as well. This is done by examining carefully the relation between certain "growth-killing" invariant differential operators on $\mathbf H_2$ and those on $\mathbf{H}_1 \times \mathbf{C}$ (here $\mathbf H_n$ denotes the Siegel upper half space of degree $n$). As applications, we can understand better the growth of Petersson norms of Fourier Jacobi coefficients of Klingen Eisenstein series, which in turn has applications to finer issues about representation numbers of quadrat…
We define deformation rings for potentially semi-stable deformations of fixed discrete series inertial type in dimension $2$. In the case of representations of the Galois group of $\mathbf{Q}_p$, we prove an analogue of the Breuil-Mézard conjecture for these rings. As an application, we give some results on the existence of congruences modulo $p$ for newforms in $S_k(Γ_0(p))$.
An algebraic number field $K$ defines a maximal torus $T$ of the linear group $G = GL_{n}$. Let $χ$ be a character of the idele class group of $K$, satisfying suitable assumptions. The $χ$-toroidal forms are the functions defined on $G(\mathbf{Q}) Z(\mathbf{A}) \backslash G(\mathbf{A})$ such that the Fourier coefficient corresponding to $χ$ with respect to the subgroup induced by $T$ is zero. The Riemann hypothesis is equivalent to certain conditions concerning some spaces of toroidal forms, constructed from Eisenstein series. Furthermore, we define a Hilbert space and a self-adjoint operator …
We study Apollonian circle packings in relation to a certain rank 4 indefinite Kac-Moody root system $Φ$. We introduce the generating function $Z(\mathbf{s})$ of a packing, an exponential series in four variables with an Apollonian symmetry group, which relates to Weyl-Kac characters of $Φ$. By exploiting the presence of affine and Lorentzian hyperbolic root subsystems of $Φ$, with automorphic Weyl denominators, we express $Z(\mathbf{s})$ in terms of Jacobi theta functions and the Siegel modular form $Δ_5$. We also show that the domain of convergence of $Z(\mathbf{s})$ is the Tits cone of $Φ$,…
