The observation of the two states $P_c(4380)$ and $P_c(4445)$ [Phys.Rev.Lett. 115 (2015) 072001] solids the existence of the pentaquark state in Nature. In this work, we study the spectrum of the pentaquark states including one or two heavy quarks based on the bound state approach by binding the heavy-light mesons to the nucleon as a soliton in an effective Lagrangian approach. By regarding the $H$ doublet and $G$ doublet as chiral partners to each other and coupling them to light mesons with a minimal derivative, the chiral partner structure of the pentaquark states is calculated. We find that the bound state approach prefers to arrange $P_c^+(4440)$ and $P_c(4457)$ into a heavy quark doublet $(\frac{1}{2}^-,\frac{3}{2}^-)$ so both decay to $J/ψp$ through the $S$-wave. The predicted spectrum shown in this work serves as a guide for the experimental hunting of more pentaquark states.
The Theta+(1540), recently observed at LEPS, DIANA and CLAS, is hypothesized to be an isotensor resonance. This implies the existence of a multiplet where the Theta++, Theta+ and Theta0 have isospin-violating strong decays, and the Theta+++ and Theta- have weak decays and so are long-lived. Production mechanisms for these states are discussed. The J^P assignment of the Theta is most likely 1/2^- or 3/2^-.
A systematic lowering in mass of strangeness ambiguous $pK^0_S$ peaks relative to the $nK^+$ is noted. We discuss how measurement of $γp\to Θ^+ K^0_S\to p K^0_S K^0_S \to pπ^+π^-π^+π^-$ in association with $γp\to Θ^+ K^0_S\to n K^+ K^0_S$ can help to clarify the nature of the narrow baryon state claimed in $p K^0_S$ invariant mass distributions. This can both establish the $Θ^+$ in a single experiment and also reveal, or place severe limits on, the existence of an associated $Σ_5$ pentaquark.
The discovery of three pentaquark peaks -- the $P_c(4312)$, $P_c(4440)$ and $P_c(4457)$ -- by the LHCb collaboration has a series of interesting consequences for hadron spectroscopy. If these hidden-charm objects are indeed hadronic molecules, as suspected, they will be constrained by heavy-flavor and SU(3)-flavor symmetries. The combination of these two symmetries will imply the existence of a series of five-flavor pentaquarks with quark content $\bar{b} c s d u$ and $b \bar{c} s d u$, that is, pentaquarks that contain each of the five quark flavors that hadronize. In addition, from SU(3)-fla…
In the framework of the color-magnetic interaction, we have systematically studied the mass splittings of the possible hidden-charm pentaquarks $qqqc\bar{c}$ ($q=u,d,s$) where the three light quarks are in a color-octet state. We find that i) the LHCb $P_c$ states fall in the mass region of the studied system; ii) most pentaquarks should be broad states since their $S$-wave open-charm decays are allowed while the lowest state is the $J^P=\frac12^-$ $Λ$-like pentaquark with probably the suppressed $η_cΛ$ decay mode only; and iii) the $J^P=\frac52^-$ states do not decay through $S$-wave and thei…
Within the chiral constituent quark model of Glozman and Riska, we discuss the stability of heavy pentaquarks, i.e. hadrons containing four light quarks and a heavy antiquark. The spin-dependent part of the Hamiltonian is dominated by the short-range part of the Goldstone-boson-exchange interaction. We find that these systems are not bound, having an energy above the lowest dissociation threshold into a baryon and a meson.
The exotic baryon $Θ^+$ (1540 MeV)$ is visualised as an expected (iso) rotational excitation in the Chiral Soliton Model. It is also argued as a Pentaquark baryon state in a constituent quark model with strong diquark correlations. I contrast the two points of view; the similarities and differences between the two pictures. Collective excitation, characteristic of Chiral Soliton Model points toward small mixing of representations in the wake of SU(3) breaking. In contrast, Constituent quark Models prefer near ``ideal'' mixing, similar to $ω- ϕ$ mixing.
The existence of the $J^p=1/2^+$ narrow resonance predicted by the chiral soliton model has been investigated by utilizing the new kaon photoproduction data. For this purpose, we have constructed two phenomenological models, which are able to describe kaon photoproduction from threshold up to W=1730 MeV. By varying the resonance mass, width, and $KΛ$ branching ratio in this energy range we found that the most convincing mass of this resonance is 1650 MeV. Using this result we estimate the masses of other antidecuplet family members.
We investigate the effect of chiral phase transition on the pentaquark $Θ^+$ mass and width at one-loop level of $NΘ^+K$ coupling at finite temperature and density. The behavior of the mass, especially the width in hadronic medium is dominated by the characteristics of chiral symmetry restoration at high temperature and high density. The mass and width shifts of positive-parity $Θ^+$ are much larger than that of negative-parity one, which may be helpful to determine the parity of $Θ^+$ in high energy nuclear collisions.
We investigate the magnetic moments of the baryon antidecuplet within the framework of the chiral quark-soliton model in the chiral limit in a ``\emph{model-independent}'' approach. Sum rules for the magnetic moments are derived. The magnetic moment of $Θ^{+}$ is found to be about $0.2\sim 0.3 μ_{N}$.
We present an analysis of the newly observed pentaquark $P_c(4312)^+$ to shed light on its quantum numbers. To do that, the QCD sum rule approach is used. The measured mass of this particle is close to $Σ_c^{++}\bar{D}^-$ threshold and has a small width, which supports the possibility of its being a molecular state. We consider an interpolating current in a molecular form and analyze both the positive and negative parity states with spin-$\frac{1}{2}$. We also consider the bottom counterpart of the state with similar molecular form. Our mass result for the charm pentaquark state supports that,…
We examine several assignments of spin and parity for the pentaquark Theta+ state (J^P=1/2^{+,-}, 3/2^{+,-}) in connection with known baryon resonances. Assuming that the Theta+ belongs to an antidecuplet representation which mixes with an octet, we calculate the mass spectra of the flavor partners of the Theta+ based on the SU(3) symmetry. The decay widths of the Theta+ and nucleon partners are analyzed for the consistency check of the mixing angle obtained from the masses. It is found that a suitable choice of the mixing angle successfully reproduces the observed masses of Theta(1540) and Xi…
Heavy baryon chiral perturbation theory for pentaquarks is applied beyond leading order. The mass splitting in the pentaquark anti-decuplet is calculated up to NNLO. An expansion in the coupling of pentaquarks to non-exotic baryons simplifies calculations and makes the pentaquark masses insensitive to the pentaquark-nucleon mass difference. The possibility of determining coupling constants in the chiral Lagrangian on the lattice is discussed. Both positive and negative parities are considered.
The structure of the pentaquark baryon $Θ^+$ is discussed in terms of a $K^+$-skyrmion binding where the skyrmion arises as a soliton in hidden local symmetry approach to low-energy hadronic physics which may be considered as a holographic dual to QCD. The "vector manifestation" of chiral symmetry encoded in the effective theory Wilsonian-matched to QCD is proposed to play an important role in the binding. Among the options available for understanding the pentaquark structure is the intriguing possibility that the $Θ^+$ is a Feshbach resonance generated by the solitonic matter that drives the …
We construct a chiral lagrangian for pentaquark baryons assuming that the recently found Theta^+ (1540) state belongs to an antidecuplet of SU(3) flavor symmetry with J^P = (1/2)^(+-). We derive the Gell-Mann-Okubo formulae for the antidecuplet baryon masses, and a possible mixing between the antidecuplet and the pentaquark octet. Then we calculate the cross sections for pi^- p -> K^- Theta^+ and gamma n -> K^- Theta^+ using our chiral lagrangian. The resulting amplitudes respect the underlying chiral symmetry of QCD correctly. We also describe how to include the light vector mesons in the chi…
In this work, we investigate the possibility of interpreting two nucleon resonances, the $N(1875)$ and the $N(2100)$, as hadronic molecular states from the $Σ^*K$ and $ΣK^*$ interactions, respectively. With the help of effective Lagrangians in which coupling constants are determined by the SU(3) symmetry, the $Σ^*K$ and $ΣK^*$ interactions are described by the vector-meson and pseudoscalar-meson exchanges. With the one-boson-exchange potential obtained, bound states from the $Σ^*K$ and $ΣK^*$ interactions are searched for in a quasipotential Bethe-Saltpeter equation approach. A bound state wit…
Using the SU(3) flavor symmetry, we construct the chiral Lagrangians for the light and heavy pentaquarks. The correction from the nonzero quark is taken into account perturbatively. We derive the Gell-Mann$-$Okubo type relations for various pentaquark multiplet masses and Coleman-Glashow relations for anti-sextet heavy pentaquark magnetic moments. We study possible decays of pentaquarks into conventional hadrons. We also study the interactions between and within various pentaquark multiplets and derive their coupling constants in the symmetry limit. Possible kinematically allowed pionic decay …
It is shown that the decay amplitude for the Jaffe-Wilczek type pentaquarks is not suppressed by chiral symmetry. On the other hand, pentaquarks of positive or negative parity built up of an antiquark and two chirally different diquarks in an $S$-state are stable in the limit of a strictly unbroken chiral symmetry. These states can decay only via the spontaneous breaking of chiral symmetry. However, this breaking is strong because of the sizeable magnitude of the quark condensate. Thus, chiral symmetry cannot be the cause of a tiny decay amplitude, even for pentaquarks which are stable in the …
In the framework of one-pion-exchange (OPE) model, we study the hidden-charm and charm-strange molecular pentaquark systems composed of a heavy baryon $(Σ_c, Σ_c^*)$ and a vector meson $(\bar{K}^*, \bar{D}^*)$, where the S-D mixing effect is considered in our calculation. Our result shows that the $Σ_c\bar{D}^*$ molecular state with $(I=1/2,J^P=3/2^-)$ and the $Σ_c^*\bar{D}^*$ molecular state with $(I=1/2,J^P=5/2^-)$ exist in the mass range of the observed $P_c(4380)$ and $P_c(4450)$, respectively. Moreover, we predict two other hidden-charm molecular pentaquarks with configurations $Σ_c\bar{D…
The photoproduction rate of pentaquark $Θ^+$ is calculated in a hot and dense medium. At high temperature and density, due to the restoration of chiral symmetry, photoproduction energy threshold is increased. Above the thresold the production cross section is strongly enhanced.
In this talk I report on a computation of the spectra of exotic pentaquarks and radial excitations of the low--lying ${1/2}^+$ and ${3/2}^+$ baryons in a chiral soliton model. In addition I present model results for the transition magnetic moments between the N(1710) and the nucleon.
The spectrum of heavy-hadron molecules is constrained by heavy-quark symmetry in its different manifestations. Heavy-quark spin symmetry for instance connects the properties of the ground and excited states of heavy hadrons, while heavy-antiquark-diquark symmetry connects the properties of heavy antimesons ($\bar{D}$, $\bar{D}^*$) and doubly heavy baryons ($Ξ_{cc}$, $Ξ_{cc}^*$). A prediction of these symmetries is that if the $P_c(4450)$ is indeed a $\bar{D}^* Σ_c$ bound state, then there should be a series of $\bar{D}^* Σ_c^*$, $Ξ_{cc} Σ_c$, $Ξ_{cc}^* Σ_c$, $Ξ_{cc} Σ_c^*$ and $Ξ_{cc}^* Σ_c^*$…
The assumption of strong diquark correlations in the QCD spectrum suggests flavor multiplets of hadrons that are degenerate in the chiral limit. Generally it would be unnatural for there to be degeneracy in the hadron spectrum that is not protected by a QCD symmetry. Here we show --for pentaquarks constructed from diquarks-- that these degeneracies can be naturally protected by the full chiral symmetry of QCD. The resulting chiral multiplet structure recovers the ideally-mixed pentaquark mass spectrum of the diquark model, and interestingly, requires that the axial couplings of the pentaquarks…
We briefly describe chiral soliton model description of baryons and predictions for exotic antidecuplet. We discuss successful phenomenology which triggered experimental searches and problems which arise in the formal limit of large Nc.
The recent experimental results of LHCb collaboration suggested the existence of pentaquark states with charmonium. To understand the structure of the states, a dynamical calculation of 5-quark systems with quantum numbers $IJ^P=\frac{1}{2}(\frac{1}{2})^\pm$, $\frac{1}{2}(\frac{3}{2})^\pm$ and $\frac{1}{2}(\frac{5}{2})^\pm$ is performed in the framework of chiral quark model with the help of gaussian expansion method. The results show that the negative parity states can be bound states while all of the positive parity states are the scattering states. The $P_c(4380)$ state is suggested to be t…
We estimate the mass and the width of pentaquark $Θ^*$ states in the 27-plet from chiral soliton models. The calculations show that the mass of $Θ^*$ is about 1.60 GeV and the width for the process $Θ^*\to {KN}$ is less than 43 MeV. We also discuss the search for the existence of $Θ^*$ states in physical processes.
The hidden charm pentaquark state $P_c(4450)$ observed recently by the LHCb collaboration may be of molecular nature, as advocated by some unitary approaches that also predict pentaquark partners in the strangeness $S=-1$ sector. In this work we argue that a hidden-charm strange pentaquark could be seen from the decay of the $Λ_b$, just as in the case of the non-strange $P_c(4450)$, but looking into the $J/ψηΛ$ decay mode and forming the invariant mass spectrum of $J/ψΛ$ pairs. In the model presented here, which assumes a standard weak decay topology and incorporates the hadronization process …
We reconsider the relationship between the bound state and the SU(3) rigid rotator approaches to strangeness in chiral soliton models. For non-exotic $S=-1$ baryons the bound state approach matches for small $m_K$ onto the rigid rotator approach, and the bound state mode turns into the rotator zero-mode. However, for small $m_K$, there are no $S=+1$ kaon bound states or resonances in the spectrum. This shows that for large $N$ and small $m_K$ the exotic state is an artifact of the rigid rotator approach. An $S=+1$ near-threshold state with the quantum numbers of the $Θ^+$ pentaquark comes into…
Spontaneous chiral symmetry breaking, mesons and baryons are illustrated in the language of the Dirac theory. Various forces acting between quarks inside baryons are discussed. I explain why the naive quark models typically overestimate pentaquark masses by some 500 MeV and why in the fully relativistic approach to baryons pentaquarks turn out to be light. I discuss briefly why it can be easier to produce pentaquarks at low than at high energies.
We propose a new type of structure for singly heavy baryons of $Qqq\bar{q}q$ in addition to the conventional one of $Qqq$. Based on chiral symmetry of the light quarks, we show that the $Qqq\bar{q}q$ baryon offers a novel picture for heavy quark spin-singlet and flavor-antisymmetric baryons. By making use of the effective Lagrangian approach, we find $Λ_c(2765)$ and $Ξ_c(2967)$ are mostly $Qqq\bar{q}q$ while $Λ_c(2286)$ and $Ξ_c(2470)$ are mostly $Qqq$. The masses of negative-parity baryons are predicted. We also derive a sum rule and the extended Goldberger-Treiman relation that the masses of…
It is shown, that if the pentaquark $Θ^+ = uudd\bar{s}$ baryon can be represented by the local quark current $η_Θ$, its decay $Θ^+ \to n K^+ (p K^0)$ is forbidden in the limit of chirality conservation. The $Θ^+$decay width $Γ$ is proportional to $α^2_s < 0 | \bar{q} q | 0 >^2$, where $<0 | \bar{q} q | 0 >$, $q = u,d,s$ is quark condensate, and, therefore, is strongly suppressed. Also the polarization operator of the pentaquark current with isospin 1 is calculated using the operator product expansion and estimation for it mass is obtained .
We discuss a possible interpretation for the pentaquark baryon $Θ^+$ which has an exotic quantum number of strangeness $S = +1$. The role of the pion which modifies the structure of single-particle levels of quarks is examined. When the pion field is sufficiently strong, the ground state of five quarks for $Θ^+$ acquires positive parity. If this is the case, an excited state may appear slightly above the ground state with negative parity.
I present results of a heavy hadron chiral perturbation theory analysis of the decays and masses of the recently discovered excited charm mesons. The present data on the electromagnetic branching ratios are consistent with heavy quark symmetry predictions and disfavor a molecular interpretation of these states. I also discuss model independent predictions for the strong decays of pentaquarks in the 10-bar representation of SU(3) which can be used to constrain the angular momentum and parity quantum numbers of these states.
The structure of the pentaquark state uudd-sbar is studied in the chiral SU(3) quark model as well as in the extended chiral SU(3) quark model, in which the vector meson exchanges are included. Four configurations of JP=1/2- and four of JP=1/2+ are considered. The results show that the isospin T=0 state is always the lowest one for both JP=1/2- and JP=1/2+ cases in various models. But the theoretical value of the lowest one is still about 200-300 MeV higher than the experimental mass of $Θ$. It seems that a dynamical calculation should be done for the further study.
We demonstrate that a five quark state of positive parity with an internal P-wave structure - usually pictured as a composite of an antiquark and two diquarks in a P-wave state - can couple to nucleons and Goldstone particles in a chirally invariant way. The corresponding decay width is generally not suppressed. A pentaquark of positive or negative parity with an internal S-wave structure, which may be viewed as a composite of an antiquark and two chirally different diquarks in an S-state, does not couple to nucleons and light mesons in the limit of an unbroken chiral symmetry. It is stable in…
The newly confirmed pentaquark state $P_c(4312)$ has been treated as a weakly bound $(Σ_c\bar{D})$ state by a well-established chiral constituent quark model and by a dynamical calculation on quark degrees of freedom where the quark exchange effect is accounted for. The obtained mass $4308$ MeV agrees with data. In this work, the selected strong decays of the $P_c(4312)$ state are studied with the obtained wave function. It is shown that the width of the $Λ_c\bar{D}^*$ decay is overwhelmed and the branching ratios of the $p\,η_c$ and $p\,J/ψ$ decays are both less than 1 percentage.
In the framework of the quark combination, we derive the yield formulas and study the yield ratios of the hidden-charm pentaquark states in ultra-relativistic heavy ion collisions. We propose some interesting yield ratios which clearly exhibit the production relationships between different hidden-charm pentaquark states. We show how to employ a specific quark combination model to evaluate the yields of exotic $P_c^+(4380)$, $P_c^+(4450)$ and their partners on the basis of reproducing the yields of normal identified hadrons, and execute the calculations in central Pb+Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{…
We adopt the chiral perturbation theory to calculate the $Σ_{c}^{(*)}\bar{D}^{(*)}$ interaction to the next-to-leading order (NLO) and include the couple-channel effect in the loop diagrams. We reproduce the three $P_c$ states in the molecular picture after including the $Λ_{c}\bar{D}^{(*)}$ intermediate states. We also discuss some novel observations arising from the loop diagrams.
We discuss the magnetic moments of the recently discovered exotic baryons Theta(+) and Xi(--) and their multiplet partners in the framework of a naive additive quark model. These baryons are set up as pentaquark states where four quarks and a single antiquark are located in their ground state orbit. The pentaquark states are classified as members of the flavor SU(3) octet and antidecuplet with spin-parity J^P = (1/2)^- and (3/2)^-, where we determine the magnetic moments of these pentaquark states.
We thoroughly compare the bound state and rigid rotator approaches to three--flavored chiral solitons. We establish that these two approaches yield identical results for the baryon spectrum and kaon--nucleon $S$--matrix in the limit that the number of colors ($N_C$) tends to infinity. After proper subtraction of the background phase shift the bound state approach indeed exhibits a clear resonance behavior in the strangeness $S=+1$ channel. We present a first dynamical calculation of the widths of the $Θ^+$ and $Θ^*$ pentaquarks for finite $N_C$ in a chiral soliton model.
We discuss certain general features of the pentaquark picture for the theta, its 10bar_F partner, Xi_{3/2}, and possible heavy quark analogues. Models employing spin-dependent interactions based on either effective Goldstone boson exchange or effective color magnetic exchange are also used to shed light on possible corrections to the Jaffe-Wilczek and Karliner-Lipkin scenarios. Some model-dependent features of the pentaquark picture (splitting patterns and relative decay couplings) are also discussed in the context of these models.
In a conventional covark model we constructed the Theta pentaquark wave function using vector diquarks and calculating the mass spectrum of this exotic pentaquark.
We explore the consequences of heavy flavour, heavy quark spin and heavy antiquark-diquark symmetries for hadronic molecules within an effective field theory framework.. Owing to heavy antiquark-diquark symmetry, the doubly heavy baryons have approximately the same light-quark structure as the heavy antimesons. As a consequence, the existence of a heavy meson-antimeson molecule implies the possibility of a partner composed of a heavy meson and a doubly-heavy baryon. In this regard, the D\bar D* molecular nature of the X(3872) will hint at the existence of several baryonic partners with isospin…
In the framework of the chiral quark model, we investigate the hidden strange pentaquark system of the $Nϕ$ state with the quantum numbers of IJ=$\frac{1}{2}$$\frac{3}{2}$. The results show that the $Nϕ$ state can be bound through the interaction of the $σ$ meson exchange plus the effect of the channel coupling, which means that the effect of the channel coupling has an influence on the existence of this bound state.
We show that in hidden local symmetry theory with the vector manifestation (VM), a K^+ can be bound to skyrmion to give the Theta^+ pentaquark with spin 1/2 and even parity which is consistent with large N_c counting. The vector meson K^* subject to the VM in the chiral limit plays an essential role in inducing the binding.
We present in this talk recent results of the magnetic moments of the baryon antidecuplet within the framework of the chiral quark-soliton model in the chiral limit. The dynamic parameters of the model are fixed by using the experimental data for those of the baryon octet. Sum rules for the magnetic moments are derived. We found that the magnetic moments of the baryon antidecuplet have opposite signs to their charges. The magnetic moments of the neutral baryon antidecuplet turn out to be compatible with zero.
We study the recently discovered Theta^+ baryon in the context of the perturbative chiral quark model. The basic configuration of the Theta^+ is set up as a pentaquark bound state, where the single particle wave functions are the ground state solutions of a confining potential. We classify the resulting pentaquark multiplets as the J^P=1/2^- and 3/2^- flavor SU(3) antidecuplet. The full mass spectrum of the multiplets is determined by including meson and gluon cloud contributions inducing flavor SU(3) breaking. Mainly due to the semi-perturbative gluon effects the resulting 3/2^- antidecuplet …
In this talk I report on a thorough comparison between the bound state and rigid rotator approaches to generate baryon states with non--zero strangeness in chiral soliton models. This comparison shows that the scattering amplitude in the bound state approach contains contributions generated by the exchange of the rigid pentaquark excitation, and that the two approaches are consistent with each other in the large $N_C$ limit. The comparison paves the way to unambiguously compute the width of the $Θ^+$ pentaquark in chiral soliton models.
We investigate the hidden-charm pentaquarks as superpositions of $Λ_c \bar{D}^{(*)}$ and $Σ_c^{(*)} \bar{D}^{(*)}$ (isospin $I = 1/2$) meson-baryon channels coupled to a $uudc\bar{c}$ compact core by employing an interaction satisfying the heavy quark and chiral symmetries. Our model can consistently explain the masses and decay widths of $P_c^+(4312)$, $P_c^+(4440)$ and $P_c^+(4457)$ with the dominant components of $Σ_c \bar D$ and $Σ_c \bar D^\ast$ with spin parity assignments $J^P = 1/2^{-}, 3/2^{-}$ and $1/2^{-}$, respectively. We analyze basic properties of the $P_c$'s such as masses and …
The chiral partner structure of heavy baryons is studied using the bound state approach by binding the heavy-light mesons to nucleon as soliton in an effective Lagrangian for the pseudoscalar and vector mesons based on the hidden local symmetry. In the heavy-light meson sector, we regard the $H$-doublet and $G$-doublet as chiral partners and couple them to light meson with minimal derivative. We find that the chiral partner of $Λ_c(1/2^+,2286)$ is the $Λ_c(1/2^-,3/2^-)$ heavy quark doublet with the mass of about 3.1\,GeV but not ($Λ_c(1/2^-,2595)$, $Λ_c(3/2^-,2625)$) which might be interpreted…
Along with masses of pion and sigma meson modes, their dissociation into quark medium provide a detail spectral structures of the chiral partners. Present article has studied a finite size effect on that detail structure of chiral partners by using the framework of Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model. Through this dissociation mechanism, their diffusions and conductions are also studied. The masses, widths, diffusion coefficients, conductivities of chiral partners are merged at different temperatures in restore phase of chiral symmetry, but merging points of all are shifted in lower temperature, when one…
The spectra of pentaquarks, some of them being observed recently, are discussed within topological soliton model and compared with simplified quark picture. Results obtained within chiral soliton model depend to some extent on the quantization scheme: rigid rotator, soft rotator, or bound state model. The similarity of spectra of baryon resonances obtained within quark model and chiral soliton model is pointed out, although certain differences take place as well, which require careful interpretation. In particular, considerable variation of the strange antiquark mass in different SU(3) multipl…
We compute the spectra of exotic pentaquarks and monopole excitations of the low--lying ${1/2}^+$ and ${3/2}^+$ baryons in a chiral soliton model. Once the low--lying baryon properties are fit, the other states are predicted without any more adjustable parameters. This approach naturally leads to a scenario in which the mass spectrum of the next to lowest--lying $J^π={1/2}^+$ states is fairly well approximated by the ideal mixing pattern of the $\mathbf{8}\oplus\bar{\mathbf{10}}$ representation of flavor SU(3). We compare our results to predictions obtained in other pictures for pentaquarks an…
We study the hadronic molecular structure of hidden heavy pentaquarks - new exotic states composed of charmed/bottom baryons and $D(D^*)/B(B^*)$ mesons. Based on the observation of three pentaquark candidates $P_c^+(4312)$, $P_c^+(4440)$, and $P_c^+(4457)$ by the LHCb Collaboration we consider the classification of possible flavor partners composed of charmed baryons and $D(D^*)$ mesons within the hadronic molecular approach. We extend this classification to the bottom sector. Using phenomenological Lagrangians we construct baryon-meson bound states governed by the Weinberg-Salam compositeness…
We investigate the electric form factors and charge radii of the pentaquark baryons within the framework of the chiral quark-soliton model. We consider the rotational $1/N_c$ and linear $m_s$ corrections, assuming isospin symmetry and employing the symmetry-conserving quantization. The flavor-decomposed charge densities of the $Θ^+$ are presented. The electric form factors and charge radii of the charged pentaquark baryons turn out to be very similar to those of the corresponding octet baryons. The charge radii of the neutral pentaquark baryons are obtained to be very tiny and positive. The st…
