In the paper is presented computer modelling of BSM physics, such as Dark matter candidates, di-jet resonances and new Higgs bosons with the help of MCFM program.
Inclusive production cross sections of the possible exotic state X(3872) in proton-proton, pionp-roton and proton-antiproton collisions are calculated using a statistical based model, which is previously used to describe inclusive charmed and bottomed hadron production cross sections in the low energy region. With the extensions made here, the model is capable to include tetraquarks as well, using the diquark picture of tetraquarks. The evaluated cross section ratio of $Ψ(2S)$ and $X(3872)$ at $\sqrt{s}=7$ TeV agrees well with the measured value.
I present theoretical calculations for Higgs-boson and top-quark production, including high-order soft-gluon corrections. I discuss charged-Higgs production in association with a top quark or a $W$ boson, as well as single-top and top-antitop production. Total cross sections as well as transverse-momentum and rapidity distributions of the top quark or the Higgs boson are presented for various LHC energies.
The energy reconstruction of high-energy muons depends on the energy loss characteristics. Accurate knowledge of the cross sections of the energy loss processes is necessary for precise measurements of the energy spectrum of muons and muon-induced neutrinos. The cross sections of the two most dominant processes, electron pair production and bremsstrahlung are calculated exact in the coupling parameter $Zα$ to the electromagnetic field of a nucleus for realistic extended screened nuclei. An analytical parametrization of the mass and nuclear-charge dependence of the cross section is given.
We study the cross sections for the inclusive production of $ψ(2S)$ and $X(3872)$ hadrons in $pp$ collisions at the LHC at two different center-of-mass energies and compare with experimental data obtained by the ATLAS, CMS, and LHCb collaborations.
The deep inelastic scattering mode of $t\overline{t}$ pair production at the proposed LHeC and FCC-eh is considered. We present a method to extract the top reduced cross section related to the transversal structure function $F_{2}(x,Q^{2})$ parameterization. Numerical calculations with known kinematics of the LHeC and FCC-eh colliders are demonstrated. The results obtained for charm and beauty pair production are comparable with the experimental data. We show that for a wide range of the momentum transfer into the top quark pair, the reduced cross section is well described by center-of-mass en…
We present for the first time the inclusive cross section for associated Higgs boson production with a massive gauge boson at next-to-next-to-next-to-leading order in QCD. Furthermore, we introduce n3loxs, a public, numerical program for the evaluation of inclusive cross sections at the third order in the strong coupling constant. Our tool allows to derive predictions for charged- and neutral-current Drell-Yan production, gluon- and bottom-quark-fusion Higgs boson production and Higgs boson associated production with a heavy gauge boson. We discuss perturbative and parton distribution function…
We recently estimated pion+X production via proton collisions with a polarized proton target to enable the Collins fragmentation function to be determined via future experiments. In the present article we first estimate the Silvers differential cross section obtianed from experiments with the target proton having both positive and negative polarizations, and then estimate the Sivers Function using quark distribution functions.
The vector bosons production at the Large Hadron Collider makes it possible to investigate in detail the basic structure of electroweak interactions. Besides the LHC with a good accuracy will be measure production of weak bosons ($pp \to W^+W^-$). The production of weak bosons with photon ($pp \to W^+W^-γ$) provides an increasingly powerful handle at higher center-of-mass energies. We present phenomenological results for $WWγ$ production in proton-proton interaction at the Large Hadron Collider. In this paper, we calculate the total and differential cross sections. We consider the dependence o…
In the framework of perturbative QCD and nonrelativistic bound state formalism, we calculate the production of $B_c$ and $B_c^*$ mesons at the conditions of the CDF and LHCb experiments. We derive first estimations for the $B_c$ wave function from a comparison with the available data.
I present high-order calculations, including soft-gluon corrections, for single-top and top-antitop production cross sections and differential distributions. For single-top production, results are presented for the three different channels in the Standard Model, for associated production with a charged Higgs, and for processes involving anomalous couplings. For top-antitop pair production, total cross sections and top-quark transverse-momentum and rapidity distributions are presented for various LHC energies.
For the search for electroweak (EW) particles in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) as well as for future precision analyses of these particles an accurate knowledge of their production and decay properties is mandatory. We evaluate the cross sections for the chargino, neutralino and slepton production at e+e- colliders in the MSSM with complex parameters (cMSSM). The evaluation is based on a full one-loop calculation of all possible production channels including soft and hard photon radiation. The dependence of the cross sections on the relevant cMSSM parameters is analyzed nume…
