We prove cancellation theorems for reciprocity sheaves and cube-invariant modulus sheaves with transfers of Kahn--Saito--Yamazaki, generalizing Voevodsky's cancellation theorem for $\mathbf{A}^1$-invariant sheaves with transfers. As an application, we get some new formulas for internal hom's of the sheaves $Ω^i$ of absolute Kähler differentials.

Reciprocity sheaves

We start developing a notion of reciprocity sheaves, generalizing Voevodsky's homotopy invariant presheaves with transfers which were used in the construction of his triangulated categories of motives. We hope reciprocity sheaves will eventually lead to the definition of a larger triangulated category of motivic nature, encompassing non homotopy invariant phenomena.

Steinberg symbols and reciprocity sheaves

We study multilinear symbols on fields taking values in reciprocity sheaves. We prove that any such symbol satisfying natural axioms automatically has Steinberg-type relations, which is a manifestation of the geometry of modulus pairs lying behind.

K-groups of reciprocity functors

In this work we introduce reciprocity functors, construct the associated K-group of a family of reciprocity functors, which itself is a reciprocity functor, and compute it in several different cases. It may be seen as a first attempt to get close to the notion of reciprocity sheaves imagined by B. Kahn. Commutative algebraic groups, homotopy invariant Nisnevich sheaves with transfers, cycle modules or Kähler differentials are examples of reciprocity functors. As commutative algebraic groups do, reciprocity functors are equipped with symbols and satisfy a reciprocity law for curves.

Cancellation theorem for framed motives of algebraic varieties

The machinery of framed (pre)sheaves was developed by Voevodsky [V1]. Based on the theory, framed motives of algebraic varieties are introduced and studied in [GP1]. An analog of Voevodsky's Cancellation Theorem [V1] is proved in this paper for framed motives stating that a natural map of framed $S^1$-spectra $$M_{fr}(X)(n)\to\underline{\textrm{Hom}}(\mathbb G,M_{fr}(X)(n+1)),\quad n\geq 0,$$ is a schemewise stable equivalence, where $M_{fr}(X)(n)$ is the $n$th twisted framed motive of $X$. Unramified logarithmic Hodge-Witt cohomology and $\mathbb{P}^1$-invariance

Let $X$ be a smooth proper variety over a field $k$ and suppose that the degree map $\mathrm{CH}_0(X \otimes_k K) \to \mathbb{Z}$ is isomorphic for any field extension $K/k$. We show that $G(\mathrm{Spec} k) \to G(X)$ is an isomorphism for any $\mathbb{P}^1$-invariant Nisnevich sheaf with transfers $G$. This generalize a result of Binda-Rülling-Saito that proves the same conclusion for reciprocity sheaves. We also give a direct proof of the fact that the unramified logarithmic Hodge-Witt cohomology is a $\mathbb{P}^1$-invariant Nisnevich sheaf with transfers.

Cancellation theorem for Grothendieck-Witt-correspondences and Witt-correspondences
