Entropy flows and functional inequalities in convex sets

Convex Sobolev inequalities and spectral gap

This note is devoted to the proof of convex Sobolev (or generalized Poincaré) inequalities which interpolate between spectral gap (or Poincaré) inequalities and logarithmic Sobolev inequalities. We extend to the whole family of convex Sobolev inequalities results which have recently been obtained by Cattiaux and Carlen and Loss for logarithmic Sobolev inequalities. Convexity of solutions and Brunn-Minkowski inequalities for Hessian equations in $\R^3$

A family of functional inequalities: Lojasiewicz inequalities and displacement convex functions

For displacement convex functionals in the probability space equip\-ped with the Monge-Kantorovich metric we prove the equivalence between the gradient and functional type Łoja\-sie\-wicz inequalities. \chg{We also discuss the more general case of $λ$-convex functions and we provide a general convergence theorem for the corresponding gradient dynamics. Certain Ostrowski type inequalities for generalized s-convex functions

In this paper, we first obtain a generalized integral identity for twice local differentiable functions. Then, using functions whose second derivatives in absolute value at certain powers are generalized s convex in the second sense, we obtain some new Ostrowski type inequalities.

Sharp trace Gagliardo-Nirenberg-Sobolev inequalities for convex cones, and convex domains

We find a new sharp trace Gagliardo-Nirenberg-Sobolev inequality on convex cones, aswell as a weighted sharp trace Sobolev inequality on epigraphs of convex functions. This is done by using a generalized Borell-Brascamp-Lieb inequality, coming from the Brunn-Minkowski theory.

A note on some Poincaré inequalities on convex sets by Optimal Transport methods

We show that a class of Poincaré-Wirtinger inequalities on bounded convex sets can be obtained by means of the dynamical formulation of Optimal Transport. This is a consequence of a more general result valid for convex sets, possibly unbounded.

Subelliptic geometric Hardy type inequalities on half-spaces and convex domains

Gagliardo-Nirenberg-Sobolev inequalities for convex domains in $\mathbb{R}^d$

A special type of Gagliardo-Nirenberg-Sobolev (GNS) inequalities in $\mathbb{R}^d$ has played a key role in several proofs of Lieb-Thirring inequalities. Recently, a need for GNS inequalities in convex domains of $\mathbb{R}^d$, in particular for cubes, has arised. The purpose of this manuscript is two-fold. First we prove a GNS inequality for convex domains, with explicit constants which depend on the geometry of the domain. Later, using the discrete version of Rumin's method, we prove GNS inequalities on cubes with improved constants.
