Abreu-Sena-Dias have constructed two distinct families of scalar-flat Kähler non-compact toric metrics using Donaldson's rephrasing of Joyce's construction in action-angle coordinates. In this paper and using the same set-up, we show that these are the only J-complete scalar-flat Kähler metrics on any given strictly unbounded toric surface. We also show that the asymptotic behaviour of such a metric determines it uniquely.
Anti-diagonal toric generalized K$\ddot{a}$hler structures of symplectic type on a compact toric symplectic manifold were investigated in \cite{Wang2} . In this article, we consider \emph{general} toric generalized K$\ddot{a}$hler structures of symplectic type, without requiring them to be anti-diagonal. Such a structure is characterized by a triple $(τ, C, F)$ where $τ$ is a strictly convex function defined in the interior of the moment polytope $Δ$ and $C, F$ are two constant anti-symmetric matrices. We prove that underlying each such a structure is a \emph{canonical} toric K$\ddot{a}$hler s…
This is a sequel of \cite{Wang}, which provides a general formalism for this paper. We mainly investigate thoroughly a subclass of toric generalized K$\ddot{a}$hler manifolds of symplectic type introduced by Boulanger in \cite{Bou}. We find torus actions on such manifolds are all \emph{strong Hamiltonian} in the sense of \cite{Wang}. For each such a manifold, we prove that besides the ordinary two complex structures $J_\pm$ associated to the biHermitian description, there is a \emph{third} canonical complex structure $J_0$ underlying the geometry, which makes the manifold toric K$\ddot{a}$hler…
For the sake of hyperk{ä}hler SYZ conjecture, finding holomorphic Lagrangian fibrations becomes an important issue. Toric hyperk{ä}hler manifolds are real dimension $4n$ non-compact hyperk{ä}hler manifolds which are quaternion analog of toric varieties. The $n$ dimensional residue circle action on it admitting a hyperk{ä}hler moment map. We use the complex part of this moment map to construct a holomorphic Lagrangian fibration with generic fiber diffeomorphic to $(\mathbb{C}^*)^n$, and study the singular fibers.
Toric hyperk{ä}hler manifolds are quaternion analog of toric varieties. Bielawski pointed out that they can be glued by cotangent bundles of toric varieties. Following his idea, viewing both toric varieties and toric hyperk{ä}her manifolds as GIT quotients, we first establish geometrical criteria for the semi-stable points. Then based on these criteria, we show that the cotangent bundles of compact toric varieties in the core of toric hyperk{ä}hler manifold are sufficient to glue the desired toric hyperk{ä}hler manifold.
We construct new explicit toric scalar-flat K{ä}hler ALE metrics on weighted projective spaces of non-compact type, which we use to obtain smooth extremal K{ä}hler metrics on appropriate resolutions of orbifolds. In particular, we obtain new extremal metrics certain resolutions of weighted projective spaces of compact type.
We introduce a class of almost homogeneous varieties contained in the class of spherical varieties and containing horospherical varieties as well as complete symmetric varieties. We develop K{ä}hler geometry on these varieties, with applications to canonical metrics in mind, as a generalization of the Guillemin-Abreu-Donaldson geometry of toric varieties. Namely we associate convex functions with hermitian metrics on line bundles, and express the curvature form in terms of this function, as well as the corresponding Monge-Amp{è}re volume form and scalar curvature. We then provide an expression…
We study compatible toric Sasaki metrics with constant scalar curvature on co-oriented compact toric contact manifolds of Reeb type of dimension at least 5. These metrics come in rays of transversal homothety due to the possible rescaling of the Reeb vector fields. We prove that there exist Reeb vector fields for which the transversal Futaki invariant (restricted to the Lie algebra of the torus) vanishes. Using existence result of [25], we show that a co-oriented compact toric contact 5-manifold whose moment cone has 4 facets admits a finite number of rays of transversal homothetic compatible …
We show that, up to biholomorphism, there is at most one complete $T^n$-invariant shrinking gradient Kähler-Ricci soliton on a non-compact toric manifold $M$. We also establish uniqueness without assuming $T^n$-invariance if the Ricci curvature is bounded and if the soliton vector field lies in the Lie algebra $\mathfrak{t}$ of $T^n$. As an application, we show that, up to isometry, the unique complete shrinking gradient Kähler-Ricci soliton with bounded scalar curvature on $\mathbb{CP}^{1} \times \mathbb{C}$ is the standard product metric associated to the Fubini-Study metric on $\mathbb{CP}^…
In [11] it was proved that, given a compact toric Sasaki manifold of positive basic first Chern class and trivial first Chern class of the contact bundle, one can find a deformed Sasaki structure on which a Sasaki-Einstein metric exists. In the present paper we first prove the uniqueness of such Einstein metrics on compact toric Sasaki manifolds modulo the action of the identity component of the automorphism group for the transverse holomorphic structure, and secondly remark that the result of [11] implies the existence of compatible Einstein metrics on all compact Sasaki manifolds obtained fr…
We prove uniqueness and existence theorems for four-dimensional asymptotically flat, Ricci-flat, gravitational instantons with a torus symmetry. In particular, we prove that such instantons are uniquely characterised by their rod structure, which is data that encodes the fixed point sets of the torus action. Furthermore, we establish that for every admissible rod structure there exists an instanton that is smooth up to possible conical singularities at the axes of symmetry. The proofs involve adapting the methods that are used to establish black hole uniqueness theorems, to a harmonic map form…
Let (X,L) be a polarized projective complex manifold. We show, by a simple toric one-dimensional example, that Mabuchi's K-energy functional on the geodesically complete space of bounded positive (1,1)-forms in the first Chern class of L, endowed with the Mabuchi metric, is not strictly convex modulo automorphisms. However, under some further assumptions the strict convexity in question does hold in the toric case. This leads to a uniqueness result saying that a finite energy minimizer of the K-energy (which exists on any toric polarized manifold (X,L) which is uniformly K-stable) is uniquely …
We study non-archimedean $μ$-entropy for toric variety as a further exploration of $μ$K-stability. We show the existence of optimizer of toric non-archimedean $μ^λ$-entropy for $λ\in \mathbb{R}$ and the uniqueness for $λ\le 0$. For the proof of existence, we establish a Rellich type compactness result for convex functions on simple polytope. We also reveal a thermodynamical structure on toric non-archimedean $μ$-entropy. This observation allows us to interpret the enigmatic parameter $T = - \fracλ{2π}$ as temperature and non-archimedean $μ$-entropy as entropy of an infinite dimensional composi…
On a given compact complex manifold or orbifold $(M,J)$, we study the existence of Hermitian metrics $\tilde g$ in the conformal classes of Kähler metrics on $(M,J)$, such that the Ricci tensor of $\tilde g$ is of type $(1,1)$ with respect to the complex structure, and the scalar curvature of $\tilde g$ is constant. In real dimension $4$, such Hermitian metrics provide a Riemannian counter-part of the Einstein--Maxwell (EM) equations in general relativity, and have been recently studied in \cite{ambitoric1, LeB0, LeB, KTF}. We show how the existence problem of such Hermitian metrics (which we …
