We systematically study the interesting relations between the quantum elliptic Calogero-Moser system (eCM) and its generalization, and their corresponding supersymmetric gauge theories. In particular, we construct the suitable characteristic polynomial for the eCM system by considering certain orbifolded instanton partition function of the corresponding gauge theory. This is equivalent to the introduction of certain co-dimension two defects. We next generalize our construction to the folded instanton partition function obtained through the so-called "gauge origami" construction and precisely obtain the corresponding characteristic polynomial for the doubled version, named the elliptic double Calogero-Moser (edCM) system.
The main result of this note is the proof of degenerate quantum integrability of quantum spin Calogero--Moser systems and the description of the spectrum of quantum Hamiltonians in terms of the decomposition of tensor products of irreducible representations of corresponding Lie algebra.
The rational Calogero-Moser model of n one-dimensional quantum particles with inverse-square pairwise interactions (in a confining harmonic potential) is reduced along the radial coordinate of R^n to the `angular Calogero-Moser model' on the sphere S^{n-1}. We discuss the energy spectrum of this quantum system, its degeneracies and the eigenstates. The spectral flow with the coupling parameter yields isospectrality for integer increments. Decoupling the center of mass before effecting the spherical reduction produces a `relative angular Calogero-Moser model', which is analyzed in parallel. We …
A two-dimensional integrable system being a deformation of the rational Calogero-Moser system is constructed via the symplectic reduction, performed with respect to the Sklyanin algebra action. We explicitly resolve the respective classical equations of motion via the projection method and quantize the system.
In previous work, we introduced a class of integrable spin Calogero-Moser systems associated with the classical dynamical r-matrices with spectral parameter, as classified by Etingof and Varchenko for simple Lie algebras. Here the main purpose is to establish the Liouville integrability of these systems by a uniform method.
We compute the full expression of the second Poisson bracket structure for N=2 and N=3 site rational classical Calogero-Moser model. We propose an r-matrix formulation for N=2. It is identified with the classical limit of the second dynamical boundary algebra previously built by the authors.
We examine the Hamiltonian structures of some Calogero-Moser and Ruijsenaars-Schneider N-body integrable models. We propose explicit formulations of the bihamiltonian structures for the discrete models, and field-theoretical realizations of these structures. We discuss the relevance of these realizations as collective-field theory for the discrete models.
We explicitly construct a supersymmetric $so(n)$ spin-Calogero model with an arbitrary even number $\cal N$ of supersymmetries. It features $\frac{1}{2}{\cal N}n(n{+}1)$ rather than ${\cal N}n$ fermionic coordinates and a very simple structure of the supercharges and the Hamiltonian. The latter, together with additional conserved currents, form an $osp({\cal N}|2)$ superalgebra. We provide a superspace description for the simplest case, namely ${\cal N}{=}2$ supersymmetry. The reduction to an $\cal N$-extended supersymmetric goldfish model is also discussed.
We give detailed description for continuous version of the classical IRF-Vertex relation, where on the IRF side we deal with the Calogero-Moser-Sutherland models. Our study is based on constructing modifications of the Higgs bundles of infinite rank over elliptic curve and its degenerations. In this way the previously predicted gauge equivalence between L-A pairs of the Landau-Lifshitz type equations and 1+1 field theory generalization of the Calogero-Moser-Sutherland models is described. In this paper the ${\rm sl}_2$ case is studied. Explicit changes of variables are obtained between the rat…
We apply a recently introduced reduction procedure based on the embedding of non-crystallographic Coxeter groups into crystallographic ones to Calogero-Moser systems. For rational potentials the familiar generalized Calogero Hamiltonian is recovered. For the Hamiltonians of trigonometric, hyperbolic and elliptic type, we obtain novel integrable dynamical systems with a second potential term which is rescaled by the golden ratio. We explicitly show for the simplest of these non-crystallographic models how the corresponding classical equations of motion can be derived from a Lie algebraic Lax pa…
We present a relationship between the Calogero-Moser particles confined in harmonic oscillator potentials and a representation theory of the infinite dimensional Lie algebra which is a semi-direct sum of Virasoro algebra and its module. More precisely, it is a correspondence of excited states of the model and singular vectors in Verma modules over the algebra. This is found by a free field realization of the time evolution operator of the model. We investigate the Verma modules and some explicit example of singular vectors are given.
We summarize recent results on the construction of Lax pairs with spectral parameter for the twisted and untwisted elliptic Calogero-Moser systems associated with arbitrary simple Lie algebras, their scaling limits to Toda systems, and their role in Seiberg-Witten theory. We extend part of this work by presenting a new parametrization for the spectral curves for elliptic spin Calogero-Moser systems associated with SL(N).
Liouville integrability of classical Calogero-Moser models is proved for models based on any root systems, including the non-crystallographic ones. It applies to all types of elliptic potentials, i.e. untwisted and twisted together with their degenerations (hyperbolic, trigonometric and rational), except for the rational potential models confined by a harmonic force.
We construct integrable generalizations of the elliptic Calogero-Sutherland-Moser model of particles with spin, involving noncommutative spin interactions. The spin coupling potential is a modular function and, generically, breaks the global spin symmetry of the model down to a product of U(1) phase symmetries. Previously known models are recovered as special cases.
The most general momentum independent dynamical r-matrices are described for the standard Lax representation of the degenerate Calogero-Moser models based on $gl_n$ and those r-matrices whose dynamical dependence can be gauged away are selected. In the rational case, a non-dynamical r-matrix resulting from gauge transformation is given explicitly as an antisymmetric solution of the classical Yang-Baxter equation that belongs to the Frobenius subalgebra of $gl_n$ consisting of the matrices with vanishing last row.
We construct the $r$-matrix for the generalization of the Calogero-Moser system introduced by Gibbons and Hermsen. By reduction procedures we obtain the $r$-matrix for the $O(N)$ Euler-Calogero-Moser model and for the standard $A_N$ Calogero-Moser model.
Calogero-Moser models and Toda models are well-known integrable multi-particle dynamical systems based on root systems associated with Lie algebras. The relation between these two types of integrable models is investigated at the levels of the Hamiltonians and the Lax pairs. The Lax pairs of Calogero-Moser models are specified by the representations of the reflection groups, which are not the same as those of the corresponding Lie algebras. The latter specify the Lax pairs of Toda models. The Hamiltonians of the elliptic Calogero-Moser models tend to those of Toda models as one of the periods …
We compute the $r$-matrix for the elliptic Euler-Calogero-Moser model. In the trigonometric limit we show that the model possesses an exact Yangian symmetry.
The space of solutions of the rational Calogero-Moser hierarchy, and the space of solutions of the KP hierarchy whose tau functions are monic polynomials in $t_1$ with coefficients depending on $t_n$, $n > 1$, are identified, generalizing earlier results of Airault-McKean-Moser and Krichever.
A relationship between the action-angle variables and the canonical transformation relating the rational Calogero-Moser system to the free one is discussed.
It is shown that the Calogero-Moser models based on all root systems of the finite reflection groups (both the crystallographic and non-crystallographic cases) with the rational (with/without a harmonic confining potential), trigonometric and hyperbolic potentials can be simply supersymmetrised in terms of superpotentials. There is a universal formula for the supersymmetric ground state wavefunction. Since the bosonic part of each supersymmetric model is the usual quantum Calogero-Moser model, this gives a universal formula for its ground state wavefunction and energy, which is determined pure…
It is shown that from some solutions of generalized Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equations one can construct eigenfunctions of the Calogero-Sutherland-Moser Hamiltonians with exchange terms, which are characterized by any given permutational symmetry under particle exchange. This generalizes some results previously derived by Matsuo and Cherednik for the ordinary Calogero-Sutherland-Moser Hamiltonians.
The complete solutions of the spin generalization of the elliptic Calogero Moser systems are constructed. They are expressed in terms of Riemann theta-functions. The analoguous constructions for the trigonometric and rational cases are also presented.
Explicit solutions for one completely-integrable system of Calogero-Moser type in external fields are found in case of three and four interacting particles. Relation between coupling constant, initial values of coordinates and time of falling into the singularity of potential is derived.
Classical Calogero-Moser models with rational potential are known to be superintegrable. That is, on top of the r involutive conserved quantities necessary for the integrability of a system with r degrees of freedom, they possess an additional set of r-1 algebraically and functionally independent globally defined conserved quantities. At the quantum level, Kuznetsov uncovered the existence of a quadratic algebra structure as an underlying key for superintegrability for the models based on A type root systems. Here we demonstrate in a universal way the quadratic algebra structure for quantum ra…
We show that elliptic Calogero-Moser system and its Lax operator found by Krichever can be obtained by Hamiltonian reduction from the integrable Hamiltonian system on the cotangent bundle to the central extension of the algebra of SL(N,C) currents.Elliptic deformation of Yang-Mills theory is presented.
A generalisation of the classical Calogero-Moser model obtained by coupling it to the Gaudin model is considered. The recently found classical dynamical r-matrix [E. Billey, J. Avan and O. Babelon, PAR LPTHE 93-55] for the Euler-Calogero-Moser model is used to separate variables for this generalised Calogero-Moser model in the case in which there are two Calogero-Moser particles. The model is then canonically quantised and the same classical r-matrix is employed to separate variables in the Schrödinger equations.
We quantize the spin Calogero-Moser model in the $R$-matrix formalism. The quantum $R$-matrix of the model is dynamical. This $R$-matrix has already appeared in Gervais-Neveu's quantization of Toda field theory and in Felder's quantization of the Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov-Bernard equation.
We construct polynomial Poisson algebras of observables for the classical Euler-Calogero-Moser (ECM) models. The conserved Hamiltonians and symmetry algebras derived in a previous work are subsets of these algebras. We define their linear, $N \rightarrow \infty$ limits, realizing $\w_{\infty}$ type algebras coupled to current algebras.
The classical order parameters for the $\N=2$ supersymmetric SU(N) gauge theory with matter in the adjoint representation are exhibited explicitly as conservation laws for the elliptic Calogero-Moser system. Central to the construction are certain elliptic function identities, which arise from considering Feynman diagrams in a theory of free fermions with twisted boundary conditions.
In this review we explain interrelations between the Elliptic Calogero-Moser model, integrable Elliptic Euler-Arnold top, monodromy preserving equations and the Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov-Bernard equation on a torus.
We present a brief account of a series of recent results on twisted and untwisted elliptic Calogero-Moser systems, and on their fundamental role in the Seiberg-Witten solution of gauge theories with one massive hypermultiplet in the adjoint representation of an arbitrary gauge algebra G.
We investigate the quantum Calogero-Moser model and reveal its hidden symmetries, i.e., the $W_{1+\infty}$ and Virasoro-Witt 3-algebras. In the large $N$ limit, we note that these two infinite dimensional 3-algebras reduce to the $w_{\infty}$ and special Virasoro-Witt 3-algebras which satisfy the fundamental identity condition, respectively.
A new generalization of the Jack polynomials that incorporates fermionic variables is presented. These Jack superpolynomials are constructed as those eigenfunctions of the supersymmetric extension of the trigonometric Calogero-Moser-Sutherland (CMS) model that decomposes triangularly in terms of the symmetric monomial superfunctions. Many explicit examples are displayed. Furthermore, various new results have been obtained for the supersymmetric version of the CMS models: the Lax formulation, the construction of the Dunkl operators and the explicit expressions for the conserved charges. The ref…
A novel realization is provided for the scattering states of the $N$-particle Calogero-Moser Hamiltonian. They are explicitly shown to be the coherent states of the singular oscillators of the Calogero-Sutherland model. Our algebraic treatment is straightforwardly extendable to a large number of few and many-body interacting systems in one and higher dimensions.
We introduce spin Calogero-Moser systems associated with root systems of simple Lie algebras and give the associated Lax representations (with spectral parameter) and fundamental Poisson bracket relations. The associated integrable models (called integrable spin Calogero-Moser systems in the paper) and their Lax pairs are then obtained via Poisson reduction and gauge transformations. For Lie algebras of $A_{n}$-type, this new class of integrable systems includes the usual Calogero-Moser systems as subsystems. Our method is guided by a general framework which we develop here using dynamical Lie…
The solitons of affine Toda field theory are related to the spin-generalised Ruijsenaars-Schneider (or relativistic Calogero-Moser) models. This provides the sought after extension of the correspondence between the sine-Gordon solitons and the Ruijsenaars-Schneider model.
In this paper, we construct a new Lax operator for the elliptic Calogero-Moser model with N=2. The nondynamical r-matrix structure of this Lax operator is also studied . The relation between our Lax operator and the Lax operator given by Krichever is also obtained.
Recent results are surveyed pertaining to the complete integrability of some novel n-particle models in dimension one. These models generalize the Calogero-Moser systems related to classical root systems. Quantization leads to difference operators instead of differential operators.
Calogero-Moser systems are classical and quantum integrable multi-particle dynamics defined for any root system $Δ$. The {\em quantum} Calogero systems having $1/q^2$ potential and a confining $q^2$ potential and the Sutherland systems with $1/\sin^2q$ potentials have "integer" energy spectra characterised by the root system $Δ$. Various quantities of the corresponding {\em classical} systems, {\em e.g.} minimum energy, frequencies of small oscillations, the eigenvalues of the classical Lax pair matrices, etc. at the equilibrium point of the potential are investigated analytically as well as n…
Yang-Mills gauge theory models on a cylinder coupled to external matter charges provide powerful means to find and solve certain non-linear integrable systems. We show that, depending on the choice of gauge group and matter charges, such a Yang-Mills model is equivalent to trigonometric Calogero-Moser systems and certain known spin generalizations thereof. Choosing a more general ansatz for the matter charges allows us to obtain and solve novel integrable systems. The key property we use to prove integrability and to solve these systems is gauge invariance of the corresponding Yang-Mills model…
The elliptic Calogero-Moser Hamiltonian and Lax pair associated with a general simple Lie algebra $\G$ are shown to scale to the (affine) Toda Hamiltonian and Lax pair. The limit consists in taking the elliptic modulus $τ$ and the Calogero-Moser couplings $m$ to infinity, while keeping fixed the combination $M = m e^{i πδτ}$ for some exponent $δ$. Critical scaling limits arise when $1/δ$ equals the Coxeter number or the dual Coxeter number for the untwisted and twisted Calogero-Moser systems respectively; the limit consists then of the Toda system for the affine Lie algebras $\G^{(1)}$ and $(\…
Calogero-Moser models can be generalised for all of the finite reflection groups. These include models based on non-crystallographic root systems, that is the root systems of the finite reflection groups, H_3, H_4, and the dihedral group I_2(m), besides the well-known ones based on crystallographic root systems, namely those associated with Lie algebras. Universal Lax pair operators for all of the generalised Calogero-Moser models and for any choices of the potentials are constructed as linear combinations of the reflection operators. The consistency conditions are reduced to functional equati…
Hidden symmetry of the quantum Calogero-Moser system with the inverse-square potential is explicitly demonstrated in algebraic sense. We find the underlying algebra explaining the super-integrability phenomenon for this system. Applications to related multi-variable Bessel functions are also discussed.
The classical (dynamical) $R$-matrices for the 2- and 3-body Calogero-Moser models with elliptic potentials are given. The 3-body case has an interesting nontrivial structure that goes beyond the known ansatz for momentum independent $R$-matrices. The $R$-matrices presented include the dynamical $R$-matrices of Avan and Talon as degenerate cases of the elliptic potential.

A few years ago, Matsuo and Cherednik proved that from some solutions of the Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov (KZ) equations, which first appeared in conformal field theory, one can obtain wave functions for the Calogero integrable system. In the present communication, it is shown that from some solutions of generalized KZ equations, one can construct wave functions, characterized by any given permutational symmetry, for some Calogero-Sutherland-Moser integrable models with exchange terms. Such models include the spin generalizations of the original Calogero and Sutherland ones, as well as that with $δ$…
We introduce an integrable time-discretized version of the classical Calogero-Moser model, which goes to the original model in a continuum limit. This discrete model is obtained from pole solutions of a discretized version of the Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equation, leading to a finite-dimensional symplectic mapping. Lax pair, symplectic structure and sufficient set of invariants of the discrete Calogero-Moser model are constructed. The classical $r$-matrix is the same as for the continuum model.
We introduce spin Calogero-Moser systems associated with root systems of simple Lie algebras and give the associated Lax representations (with spectral parameter) and fundamental Poisson bracket relations. Our analysis is based on a group-theoretic framework similar in spirit to the standard classical $r$-matrix theory for constant $r$-matrices.
We discuss the large N limit of Calogero-Moser models for the classical infinite families of simple Lie algebras A_N, B_N, C_N and D_N. We show that the limit defines two different Conformal Field Theories with central charge c>1. The value of c and the dimension of the primary field are dictated by the underlying algebraic symmetries of the model.
In this paper, we construct a new Lax operator for the elliptic $A_{n-1}$ Calogero-Moser model with general $n(2\leq n$) from the classical dynamical twisting,in which the corresponding r-matrix is purely numeric (nondynamical one). The nondynamical r-matrix structure of this Lax operator is obtained, which is elliptic $Z_n$-symmetric r-matrix.
We exhibit the elliptic Calogero-Moser system as a Hitchin system of G-principal Higgs pairs. The group G, though naturally associated to any root system, is not semi-simple. We then interpret the Lax pairs with spectral parameter of [dP1] and [BSC1] in terms of equivariant embeddings of the Hitchin system of G into that of GL(N).
