An exact parity replicates the Standard Model giving a Mirror Standard Model, SM $\leftrightarrow$ SM$'$. This "Higgs Parity" and the mirror electroweak symmetry are spontaneously broken by the mirror Higgs, $\left\langle H'\right\rangle = v' \gg \left\langle H\right\rangle$, yielding the Standard Model Higgs as a Pseudo-Nambu-Goldstone Boson of an approximate $SU(4)$ symmetry, with a quartic coupling $λ_{SM}(v') \sim 10^{-3}$. Mirror electromagnetism is unbroken and dark matter is composed of $e'$ and $\bar{e}'$. Direct detection may be possible via the kinetic mixing portal, and in unified theories this rate is correlated with the proton decay rate. With a high reheat temperature after inflation, the $e'$ dark matter abundance is determined by freeze-out followed by dilution from decays of mirror neutrinos, $ν' \rightarrow \ell H$. Remarkably, this requires $v' \sim (10^8 - 10^{10})$ GeV, consistent with the Higgs mass, and a Standard Model neutrino mass of $(10^{-2} - 10^{-1})$ eV, consistent with observed neutrino masses. The mirror QCD sector exhibits a first order phase transition producing gravitational waves that may be detected by future observations. Mirror glueballs decay to mirror photons giving dark radiation with $ΔN_{\rm eff} \sim 0.03 - 0.4$. With a low reheat temperature after inflation, the $e'$ dark matter abundance is determined by freeze-in from the SM sector by either the Higgs or kinetic mixing portal.
We investigate the cosmology of the minimal model of neutral naturalness, the mirror Twin Higgs. The softly-broken mirror symmetry relating the Standard Model to its twin counterpart leads to significant dark radiation in tension with BBN and CMB observations. We quantify this tension and illustrate how it can be mitigated in several simple scenarios that alter the relative energy densities of the two sectors while respecting the softly-broken mirror symmetry. In particular, we consider both the out-of-equilibrium decay of a new scalar as well as reheating in a toy model of twinned inflation, …
One of the important features of the littlest Higgs model with T-parity, called the $LHT$ model, is that it introduces the mirror fermions, which are the T-parity partners of the standard model fermions. In this paper, we discuss production of the mirror quark associated with mirror neutrino via $eγ$ and $ep$ collisions. We find that, in wide range of the parameter space, the mirror quark can be copiously produced at the International $e^{+}e^{-}$ Linear Collider $(ILC)$ and $ep$ collider $(THERA)$ experiments. The production rates of certain signal events, which are related the main two-body …
Little Higgs models are an interesting alternative to explain electroweak symmetry breaking without fine-tuning. Supplemented with a discrete symmetry (T-parity) constraints from electroweak precision data are naturally evaded and also a viable dark matter candidate is obtained. T-parity implies the existence of new (mirror) fermions in addition to the heavy gauge bosons of the little Higgs models. In this paper we consider the effects of the mirror fermions on the phenomenology of the littlest Higgs model with T-parity at the LHC. We study the most promising production channels and decay chai…
In addition to being a solution to the little hierarchy problem, the Mirror Twin Higgs provides a natural setting for Asymmetric Dark Matter. In its incarnation with only one Higgs doublet and its mirror copy, dark matter would however almost certainly consist mostly of mirror atoms, which is severely ruled out by constraints on dark matter self-interactions. By adding a second Higgs doublet and its mirror, the vevs of the different Higgses can be arranged such that dark matter consists mostly of mirror neutrons, which is cosmologically viable. In this paper, it is shown that current constrain…
Existence of a mirror world in the universe is a fundamental way to restore the observed parity violation in weak interactions and provides the lightest mirror nucleon as a unique GeV-scale dark matter particle candidate. The visible and mirror worlds share the same spacetime of the universe and are connected by a unique space-inversion symmetry -- the mirror parity (P). We conjecture that the mirror parity is respected by the fundamental interaction Lagrangian, and study its spontaneous breaking from minimizing the Higgs vacuum potential. The domain wall problem is resolved by a unique soft b…
Recently CMS and ATLAS announced that they have measured the Higgs boson parity. In fact, these results allow to define parity for a small class of models only. For the majority of models the used approach provides no information about Higgs parity.
Recently CMS and ATLAS announced that they had measured the Higgs boson parity. Here we note that their approach can determine this parity only under the additional assumption that this particle has a definite parity. If parity conservation is violated in the Higgs sector, the parity of observed "Higgs" boson does not exist. The approach used in the mentioned experiments does not allow to observe such opportunity. In this sense titles of mentioned CMS and ATLAS publications are misleading.
In a Mirror Twin World with a maximally symmetric Higgs sector the little hierarchy of the Standard Model can be significantly mitigated, perhaps displacing the cutoff scale above the LHC reach. We show that consistency with observations requires that the Z2 parity exchanging the Standard Model with its mirror be broken in the Yukawa couplings. A minimal such effective field theory, with this sole Z2 breaking, can generate the Z2 breaking in the Higgs sector necessary for the Twin Higgs mechanism. The theory has constrained and correlated signals in Higgs decays, direct Dark Matter Detection a…
In the SO(5) x U(1) gauge-Higgs unification model in the Randall-Sundrum warped space there results the conservation of the H parity. The H parity is assigned to all 4D fields including excited modes in Kaluza-Klein towers. The neutral Higgs boson is the lightest particle of odd H parity, consequently becoming absolutely stable. Its mass is found to be 70 \sim 135 GeV for the warp factor z_L = 10^5 \sim 10^{15}.
Motivated by the search for flavor-changing neutral current (FCNC) top quark decays at the LHC, we calculate rare Higgs three body decay $H\rightarrow Wbc$ induced by top-Higgs FCNC coupling in the littlest Higgs model with T-parity(LHT). We find that the branching ratios of $H\rightarrow Wbc$ in the LHT model can reach $\mathcal O(10^{-7})$ in the allowed parameter space.
ATLAS and CMS have provided hints for the existence of a Higgs-like particle with mass of about 144 GeV with production cross section into standard decay channels which is about 50% that of the standard model Higgs boson. We show that this 50% suppression is exactly what the mirror matter model predicts when the two scalar mass eigenstates, each required to be maximal admixtures of a standard and mirror-Higgs boson, are separated in mass by more than their decay widths but less than the experimental resolution. We discuss prospects for the future confirmation of this interesting hint for non-s…
In this paper we present a model for the spontaneous breaking of parity with two Higgs doublets and two neutral Higgs singlets which are even and odd under D-parity. The condition $ v_R >>v_L $ can be satisfied without introducing bidoublets and it is induced by the breaking of D-parity through the vacuum expectation value of the odd Higgs singlet. Examples of left-right symmetric and mirror fermions models in grand unified theories are presented.
We summarized our report on leptonic flavor violating Higgs decay into mu + tau under the scheme of a generic supersymmetric standard model without R parity. With known experimental constraints imposed, important combinations of R-parity violating parameters which can give notable branching ratios are listed.
In twin Higgs models, a discrete Z2 symmetry between the standard model Higgs and the twin Higgs is introduced to address the hierarchy problem. In this work, we propose another discrete symmetry in twin Higgs: the T parity, which maps the twin Higgs quadruplet into its mirror copy. The T parity brings us a whole group of T-odd particles, and leads to a promising dark matter candidate. We present one realization of the T parity twin Higgs scenario by implementing the $SU(2)_L \times SU(2)_R \times U(1)_1 \times U(1)_2$ gauge symmetry in twin Higgs model. In this specific setup, the T-odd U(1) …
Higgs boson productions at the LHC will serve as a sensitive probe of various little Higgs models. In this work we comparatively study two littlest Higgs models with different T-parity constructions through examining their effects in three production processes of the Higgs boson at the LHC, namely the productions of a single Higgs, a Higgs-pair, as well as a Higgs boson associated with a pair of top and anti-top quarks. The two models are characterized by predicting a top partner canceling the Higgs mass quadratic divergence contributed by the top quark with even and odd T-parity, respectively…
This review describes the history of discovery of violation of spatial parity P, charge conjugation parity C, combined parity CP. The hypothesis of existence of mirror particles was called upon by its authors to restore the symmetry between left and right. The review presents the emergence and evolution of the concepts ``mirror particles'' and ``mirror matter''. It could serve as a concise guide to the ``mirror-land''. An important part of the review is the list of about 250 references with their titles.
In this work we study a mirror model with inverse seesaw neutrino masses in which symmetry breaking scales are fixed from bounds in the neutrino sector. The Higgs sector of the model has two doublets and neutral singlets. The mirror model can be tested at the LHC energies in several aspects. Two very distinctive signatures of the mirror model are a new neutral gauge boson $Z^{\prime}$, with a high invisible branching ratio, and a heavy Majorana neutrino production through the decay $Z^{\prime} \rightarrow N +\bar ν$. This result is compared with heavy Majorana production through heavy pair pro…
Little Higgs models may provide a viable alternative to supersymmetry as an extension of the Standard Model. After the introduction of a discrete $Z_2$ symmetry, dubbed T-parity into Little Higgs models they also contain a promising dark matter candidate. We investigate a heavy neutrino as a dark matter candidate in the Simplest Little Higgs with T-parity (SLHT) model. First we calculate relic density constraints on the parameter space of the model and then discuss collider signatures for the SLHT dark matter.
The supersymmetric standard model of particle interactions is extended to include two Higgs triplet superfields at the TeV scale, carrying two units of lepton number. Realistic tree-level Majorana neutrino masses are obtained in the presence of soft, i.e. bilinear, R-parity nonconservation.
In this letter, we report on lepton flavor violating Higgs decay into mu+tau in the framework of the generic supersymmetric standard model without R parity and list interesting combinations of R-parity violating parameters. We impose other known experimental constraints on the parameters of the model and show our results from the R-parity violating parameters. In our analysis, the branching ratio of Higgs to mu+tau can exceed 10^{-5} within admissible parameter space.
In the littlest Higgs model with T-parity, we studied the contributions of the new particles to the top-quark pair production via $e^{+}e^{-}$ collision at the International Linear Collider. We calculated the top-quark pair production cross section and found this process can generate significantly relative correction. The result may be a sensitive probe of the littlest Higgs model with T-parity.
We analyze double Higgs boson production at the Large Hadron Collider in the context of Little Higgs models. In double Higgs production, the diagrams involved are directly related to those that cause the cancellation of the quadratic divergence of the Higgs self-energy, providing a robust prediction for this class of models. We find that in extensions of this model with the inclusion of a so-called T-parity, there is a significant enhancement in the cross sections as compared to the Standard Model.
We discuss possible manifestations of R parity breaking in the Higgs sector. We illustrate this with three examples: high-energy mono-photon production at LEP, calculation of limits on associated production of invisibly decaying Higgs bosons and discussion of non-standard scalar decays in the MSSM with broken R parity.
In the framework of the littlest Higgs model with T-parity (LHT), we study the contributions of the T-even and T-odd particles to the branching ratio R_b. We find that the precision data of R_b can give strong constraints on the masses of T-odd fermions.
We consider the supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model with neutrino Yukawa interactions and R-parity violation. We found that R-parity breaking term λνH_u H_d leads to an additional F-type contribution to the Higgs scalar potential, and thus to the masses of supersymmetric Higgs bosons. The most interesting consequence is the modification of the tree-level expression for the lightest neutral supersymmetric Higgs boson mass. It appears that due to this contribution the bound on the lightest Higgs mass may be shifted upwards, thus slightly opening the part of the model parameter space e…
In the littlest Higgs model with T-parity (LHT), we study the $t$-channel single top production in association with a Higgs boson at 8 and 14 TeV LHC. We find that the cross section can be enhanced obviously in this model compared to the Standard Model. By performing a simple parton-level simulation through $pp\rightarrow t(\rightarrow \ell^{+}νb)h(\rightarrow b\bar{b})j$ at 14 TeV LHC, we find that the observability of the signal is promising in the favorable parameter space.
Mirror universe is a fundamental way to restore parity symmetry in weak interactions. It naturally provides the lightest mirror nucleon as a unique GeV-scale asymmetric dark matter particle candidate. We conjecture that the mirror parity is respected by the fundamental interaction Lagrangian, and its possible soft breaking arises only from non-interaction terms in the gauge-singlet sector. We realize the spontaneous mirror parity violation by minimizing the vacuum Higgs potential, and derive the corresponding Higgs spectrum. We demonstrate that the common origin of CP violation in the visible …
Little Higgs models are an interesting extension of the Standard Model at the TeV scale. They provide a simple and attractive mechanism of electroweak symmetry breaking. We review one of the simplest models of this class, the Littlest Higgs model, and its extension with T parity. The model with T parity satisfies precision electroweak constraints without fine-tuning, contains an attractive dark matter candidate, and leads to interesting phenomenology at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC).
Little Higgs models offer an interesting approach to weakly coupled electroweak symmetry breaking without fine tuning. The original little Higgs models were plagued by strong constraints from electroweak precision data which required a fine tuning to be reintroduced. An economical solution to this problem is to introduce a discrete symmetry (analogous to R-parity of SUSY) called T-parity. T-parity not only eliminates most constraints from electroweak precision data, but it also leads to a promising dark matter candidate. In this paper we investigate the dark matter candidate in the littlest Hi…
We apply the orbifold grand unified theory (GUT) mechanism to the noncommutative Higgs model. An assignment of $Z_{2}$ parity to the "constituent fields" induces parity assignments of both the gauge and Higgs bosons, because these bosons are treated as some kind of composite field in this formalism. As a result, some of the gauge bosons and the colored triplet Higgs boson receive heavy mass comparable to the GUT scale, and the gauge symmetry is broken. No particles appear other than the SM ones in the massless states.
Inspired by the recent CMS $h \to μτ$ excess, we calculate the lepton flavor violating Higgs decay $h \to μτ$ in the littlest Higgs model with T-parity (LHT). Under the constraints of $\ell_i \to \ell_j γ$, $Z \to \ell_i \bar{\ell}_j$ and Higgs data, we find that the branching ratio of $h \to μτ$ can maximally reach $\mathcal O(10^{-4})$. We also investigate the correlation between $h \to μτ$, $τ\to μγ$ and $Z \to μτ$, which can be used to test LHT model at future $e^+e^-$ colliders.
We study Higgs boson production and decay in a certain class of Little Higgs models with T-parity in which some T-parity partners of the Standard Model (SM) fermions gain their masses through Yukawa-type couplings. We find that the Higgs boson production cross section of a 120 GeV Higgs boson at the CERN LHC via gg fusion process at one-loop level could be reduced by about 45%, 35% and 20%, as compared to its SM prediction, for a relatively low new particle mass scale f = 600, 700 and 1000 GeV, respectively. On the other hand, the weak boson fusion cross section is close to the SM value. Furth…
It is shown that the radiation of a charged Higgs boson off a third-generation quark (charged-Higgs-strahlung) provides an important channel for the discovery of the charged Higgs at hadron colliders. Equivalently, in supersymmetric models with explicit lepton-number (R-parity) violation, sleptons may also be produced in association with quarks (slepton-strahlung). Higgs- and slepton-strahlung production cross sections are given for both the Tevatron and the LHC. The LHC cross sections imply that heavy ${\cal{O}}$(TeV) charged Higgs bosons can be produced via charged-Higgs-strahlung and that s…
In supersymmetric models with R parity violation, constraints on superpartner masses are significantly weaker than in models which conserve R parity. We find in regions of parameter space where a neutral gaugino or third generation scalar is decoupled from the Z and/or traditional gaugino mass relationships do not hold allow some particles to be light enough to allow them to be the decay products of the Higgs. For example, surprisingly a stau could be lighter than 30 GeV if it decays hadronically. We estimate the Higgs bounds when one of these decays dominates and find allowed Higgs masses wel…
We present a very promising method for a measurement of the Higgs boson parity using the H/A -> tau^+ tau^- --> rho^+ nu rho^- nu --> pi^+ pi^0 nu pi^- pi^0 nu decay chain. The method is both model independent and independent of the Higgs production mechanism. Angular distributions of the tau decay products which are sensitive to the Higgs boson parity are defined and are found to be measurable using typical properties of a future detector for an e^+ e^- linear collider. The prospects for the measurement of the parity of a Higgs boson with a mass of 120 GeV are quantified for the case of e^+ e…
The Higgs boson production processes $e^{+}e^{-}\to ZH$, $e^{+}e^{-}\to \bar{ν_{e}}ν_{e}H$, and $e^{+}e^{-}\to t\bar{t}H$ are very important for studying Higgs boson properties and further testing new physics beyond the standard model($SM$) in the high energy linear $e^{+}e^{-}$ collider($ILC$). We estimate the contributions of the littlest Higgs model with T-parity($LHT$ model) to these processes and find that the $LHT$ model can generate significantly corrections to the production cross sections of these processes. We expect the possible signals of the $LHT$ model can be detected via these p…
We study the impact of large trilinear R-parity violating couplings on the lightest CP-even Higgs boson mass in supersymmetric models. We use the publicly available computer codes SARAH and SPheno to compute the leading two-loop corrections. We use the effective potential approach. For not too heavy third generation squarks (< 1 TeV) and couplings close to the unitarity bound we find positive corrections up to a few GeV in the Higgs mass.
Motivated by the recent LHC Higgs data and null results in searches for any new physics, we investigate the Higgs couplings and naturalness in the littlest Higgs model with T-parity. By performing the global fit of the latest Higgs data, electroweak precise observables and $R_{b}$ measurements, we find that the scale $f$ can be excluded up to 600 GeV at $2σ$ confidence level. The expected Higgs coupling measurements at the future collider TLEP will improve this lower limit to above 3 TeV. Besides, the top parnter mass $m_{T_{+}}$ can be excluded up to 880 GeV at $2σ$ confidence level. The futu…
Flavor changing neutral current processes are studied in the littlest Higgs model with T-parity. It is found that the logarithmic divergence reported earlier in Z boson flavor changing processes is exactly canceled by contributions from additional interaction terms of heavy fermions and the Z boson. Phenomenological impact on the K --> pi nu nu_bar processes is discussed.
In supersymmetric models the lightest Higgs boson may decay with a sizable branching ratio into a pair of light neutralinos. We analyze such decays within the context of the minimal supersymmetric standard model with R-parity violation, where the neutralino itself is unstable and decays into Standard Model fermions. We show that the R-parity violating couplings induce novel Higgs decay signals that might facilitate the discovery of the Higgs boson at colliders. At the LHC, the Higgs may be observed, for instance, through its decay -via two neutralinos- into final states containing missing ener…
In the present paper we have developed a concept of parallel ordinary (O) and mirror (M) worlds. We have shown that in the case of a broken mirror parity (MP), the evolutions of fine structure constants in the O- and M-worlds are not identical. It is assumed that E_6-unification inspired by superstring theory restores the broken MP at the scale \sim 10^{18} GeV, what unavoidably leads to the different E_6-breakdowns at this scale: E_6 \to SO(10)\times U(1)_Z - in the O-world, and E'_6 \to SU(6)'\times SU(2)'_Z - in the M-world. Considering only asymptotically free theories, we have presented t…
We consider the collider signals arising from kinetic mixing between the hypercharge gauge boson of the Standard Model and its twin counterpart in the Mirror Twin Higgs model, in the framework in which the twin photon is massive. Through the mixing, the Standard Model fermions acquire charges under the mirror photon and the mirror Z boson. We determine the current experimental bounds on this scenario, and show that the mixing can be large enough to discover both the twin photon and the twin Z at the LHC, or at a future 100 TeV hadron collider, with dilepton resonances being a particularly cons…
The decay t -> c V (V=γ, Z, g) process in the mirror twin Higgs models with the colorless top partners are studied in this paper. We found that the branching ratios of these decays can in some parameter spaces alter the standard model expectations greatly and may be detectable according to the currently precision electroweak measurements. Thus, the constraints on the model parameters may be obtained from the branching fraction of the decay processes, which may serve as a robust detection to this new physics model.
Gluons inside an unpolarized proton are in general linearly polarized. This polarization can, in principle, be used to determine the spin and parity of the newly found Higgs-like boson at the LHC. We focus here on the calculation of the degree of polarization.
We analyze the prospects of measuring the parity of Higgs particles in the Standard Model and its supersymmetric extensions. Higgs decays are discussed in this context as well as production processes including, in particular, the fusion of Higgs particles in linearly polarized photon--photon collisions.
We review some properties of Bilinear R-Parity Violating models: simple extensions of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model motivated by spontaneous breaking of R-Parity. We concentrate on the relaxation of the bounds on the charged Higgs mass imposed by the measurement of B(b -> s gamma), the effect on the mass of the lightest neutral Higgs boson, the radiative breaking of the electroweak symmetry, the unification of bottom and tau Yukawa couplings, and the relation of these phenomena to the radiatively generated tau-neutrino mass.
In this paper we consider the effects of the T-parity violating anomalous Wess-Zumino-Witten-Term in the Littlest Higgs model. Apart from tree level processes, the loop induced decays of the heavy mirror particles into light standard model fermions lead to a new and rich phenomenology in particular at breaking scales f below 1 TeV. Various processes are calculated and their signatures at present and future colliders are discussed. As a byproduct we find an alternative production mechanism for the Higgs boson.
We perform the one-loop induced charged lepton flavor violating decays of the neutral Higgses in an extended mirror fermion model with non-sterile electroweak-scale right-handed neutrinos and a horizontal $A_4$ symmetry in the lepton sector. We demonstrate that for the 125 GeV scalar $h$ there is tension between the recent LHC result ${\cal B}(h \to τμ) \sim $ 1% and the stringent limits on the rare processes $μ\to e γ$ and $τ\to (μ$ or $e) γ$ from low energy experiments.
The theoretically clean channel B+ -> tau+ nu shows a close to 3sigma discrepancy between the Standard Model prediction and the data. This in turn puts a strong constraint on the parameter space of a two-Higgs doublet model, including R-parity conserving supersymmetry. The constraint is so strong that it almost smells of fine-tuning. We show how the parameter space opens up with the introduction of suitable R-parity violating interactions, and release the tension between data and theory.
R-parity violation modifies the phenomenology of supersymmetric models considerably. We study a version of NMSSM, which contains right-handed neutrinos and in which spontaneous R-parity violation is possible. We study the ensuing effects of spontaneous breaking to the Higgs decay modes, taking into account the measured mass of the Higgs boson and experimental constraints, including rare decays. We find that a possible light scalar, dominantly a sneutrino, helps to increase the Standard Model (SM) Higgs-like scalar mass to the measured value. At the same time, a lighter stop than in the MSSM is…
We consider two copies of the Standard Model, interchanged by an exact parity symmetry, P. The observed fermion mass hierarchy is described by suppression factors $ε^{n_i}$ for charged fermion $i$, as can arise in Froggatt-Nielsen and extra-dimensional theories of flavor. The corresponding flavor factors in the mirror sector are $ε'^{n_i}$, so that spontaneous breaking of the parity P arises from a single parameter $ε'/ε$, yielding a tightly constrained version of Minimal Mirror Twin Higgs, introduced in our previous paper. Models are studied for simple values of $n_i$, including in particular…
We present the results of an extensive analysis of lepton flavour violating decays in the Littlest Higgs model with T-parity (LHT). As lepton flavour violation is highly suppressed in the Standard Model by small neutrino masses, the LHT effects turn out to be naturally huge and could be seen in the near future experiments.
In this work, we investigate the Higgs-boson production processes $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrow ZH$, $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrow ν_{e}\bar{ν_{e}}H$ and $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrow e^{+}e^{-}H$ in the littlest Higgs model with T-parity. We present the production cross sections, the relative corrections and some distributions of the final states. In the allowed parameter space, we find that the relative corrections of the three production channels are negative, the relative correction of the $ZH$ production can reach $-7.5\%$ and the relative corrections of the $ν_{e}\bar{ν_{e}}H$ and $e^{+}e^{-}H$ production ca…
We analyse hadronically quiet trilepton signatures in the T-parity conserving Littlest Higgs model and in R-parity conserving supersymmetry at the Large Hadron Collider. We identify the regions of the parameter space where such signals can reveal the presence of these new physics models above the Standard Model background and distinguish them from each other, even in a situation when the mass spectrum of the Littlest Higgs model resembles the supersymmetric pattern.
In the littlest Higgs model with T-parity, we study associated production of a Higgs and a single top quark at the 14 TeV LHC. We focus on the Higgs to two photons decay and the semileptonic top decay channel. By performing a fast detector simulation, we find that the $thj$ search in the selected channel can excluded the top partner mass $m_{T_{+}}$ up to 805 (857) GeV for case A (case B) at $2σ$ confidence level at 14 TeV LHC with the integrated luminosity $L= 3 \rm ab^{-1}$.
We show that there are regions in the parameter space of the Littlest Higgs model with T-parity, allowed by electroweak precision data, where the Higgs boson can decay invisibly into a pair of heavy photons A_H with a substantial branching ratio. For a symmetry breaking scale f in the range 450-600 GeV, the BR(H -> A_H A_H) can be up to 95% for an intermediate mass Higgs, and from 20% down to a few percents for a Higgs boson of mass 200 GeV or above. The total decay width of the Higgs boson can thereby be enhanced by an order of magnitude compared to the Standard Model for Higgs masses around …
The Higgs-pair production process at the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC), which will provide a way to test the Higgs boson self-coupling, may be sensitive to new physics. In the framework of the littlest Higgs model with T-parity, such Higgs-pair production can proceed through additional loop diagrams and thus the production rate can be quite different from the Standard Model (SM) prediction. Our calculations show that, due to the loop contributions of both T-even and T-odd quarks predicted in this model, the production rate can be significantly enhanced relative to the SM prediction and also…
Higgs decays to Z boson pairs may be exploited to determine spin and parity of the Higgs boson, a method complementary to spin-parity measurements in Higgs-strahlung. For a Higgs mass above the on-shell ZZ decay threshold, a model-independent analysis can be performed, but only by making use of additional angular correlation effects in gluon-gluon fusion at the LHC and gamma-gamma fusion at linear colliders. In the intermediate mass range, in which the Higgs boson decays into pairs of real and virtual Z bosons, threshold effects and angular correlations, parallel to Higgs-strahlung, may be ado…
The Little Higgs model with T-parity (LHT) belongs to the non-minimal flavour violating model. This model has new sources of flavour and CP violation both in quark and leptonic sectors. These new sources of flavour violation originates by the interaction of Standard Model (SM) fermions with heavy gauge bosons and heavy (or mirror) fermions. In this work we will present the impact of the new flavour structure of T-parity models on flavour violations in leptonic sector.
