In this paper, we define a finite sum analogue of multiple polylogarithms inspired by the work of Kaneko and Zaiger and prove that they satisfy a certain analogue of the shuffle relation. Our result is obtained by using a certain partial fraction decomposition due to Komori-Matsumoto-Tsumura. As a corollary, we give an algebraic interpretation of our shuffle product.
We show that the shuffle algebras for polylogarithms and regularized MZVs in the sense of Ihara, Kaneko and Zagier are both free commutative nonunitary Rota-Baxter algebras with one generator. We apply these results to show that the full sets of shuffle relations of polylogarithms and regularized MZVs are derived by a single series. We also take this approach to study the extended double shuffle relations of MZVs by comparing these shuffle relations with the quasi-shuffle relations of the regularized MZVs in our previous approach of MZVs by renormalization.
We give an explicit formula for the shuffle relation in a general double shuffle framework that specializes to double shuffle relations of multiple zeta values and multiple polylogarithms. As an application, we generalize the well-known decomposition formula of Euler that expresses the product of two Riemann zeta values as a sum of double zeta values to a formula that expresses the product of two multiple polylogarithm values as a sum of other multiple polylogarithm values.
We give a finite analogue of the well-known formula $\mathrm{Li}_{\underbrace{1, \ldots, 1}_n}(t) = \frac{1}{n!}\mathrm{Li}_1(t)^n$ of multiple polylogarithms for any positive integer n by using the shuffle relation of finite multiple polylogarithms of Ono-Yamamoto type. Unlike the usual case, the terms regarded as error terms appear in this formula. As a corollary, we obtain $"t \leftrightarrow 1 - t"$ type new functional equations of finite multiple polylogarithms of Ono-Yamamoto type and Sakugawa-Seki type.
We consider multiple polylogarithms in a single variable at non-positive integers. Defining a connected graded Hopf algebra, we apply Connes' and Kreimer's algebraic Birkhoff decomposition to renormalize multiple polylogarithms at non-positive integer arguments, which satisfy the shuffle relation. The q-analogue of this result is as well presented, and compared to the classical case.

We provide a method to construct new associators out of Drinfel'd's KZ associator. We obtain two analytic families of associators whose coefficients we can describe explicitly by a generalization of multiple zeta values. The two families contain two different paths that deform the Drinfel'd KZ associator into the trivial associator 1. In this paper we define a continuous version of multiple zeta functions. They can be analytically continued to meromorphic functions on $\mathbb{C}^r$ with only simple poles at some special hyperplanes. The evaluations of these functions at positive integers (continuous multiple zeta values) satisfy the shuffle product. We give a detailed analysis about the depth structure of continuous multiple zeta values. There are also sum formulas for continuous multiple zeta values. Lastly we calculate some special continuous multiple zeta values in terms of special values of multiple polylogarithms.
