In this paper, we continue investigating the possible values of the pre-factors $α$ and $β$ in the logarithmic corrected entropy-area relation based on cosmological stability arguments. In a previous study, we have investigated the stability of the entropy-corrected cosmology using an empirical hyperbolic form of the scale factor. We found that the zero values of the two pre-factors are necessary to obtain a stable flat universe with a deceleration-acceleration transition and no causality violation. The necessity of the zero values of the two pre-factors has also been reached in the current work using a hybrid scale factor Ansatz in the entropy-corrected cosmological equations. Investigating the corrected entropy-area relation in different gravitational and cosmological contexts can provide an accurate estimation to the correct values of the pre-factors. The current work opens a discussion on the validity of the correction terms in the logarithmic corrected entropy-area relation on the cosmological scale. The evolution of the cosmic pressure, energy density, equation of state parameter, jerk parameter and the nonlinear energy conditions has been analyzed.
In this paper we consider a model universe with large extra dimensions to obtain a modified black hole entropy-area relation. We use the generalized uncertainty principle to find a relation between the number of spacetime dimensions and the presence or vanishing of logarithmic prefactor in the black hole entropy-area relation. Our calculations are restricted to the microcanonical ensembles and we show that in the modified entropy-area relation, the microcanonical logarithmic prefactor appears only when spacetime has an even number of dimensions.
We investigate the cosmological dynamics of interacting Logarithmic Entropy Corrected Holographic Dark Energy model with Cold Dark Matter. Fixed points are determined and their corresponding cosmological models are presented. Moreover, the dynamical properties of these fixed points are derived.
In this paper, we consider an inflationary model of $f(R)$ gravity with polynomial form plus logarithmic term. We calculate some cosmological parameters and compare our results with the Plank 2015 data. We find that presence of both logarithmic and polynomial corrections are necessary to yield slow-roll condition. Also, we study critical points and stability of the model to find that it is a viable model.
We study the inflation via logarithmic entropy-corrected holographic dark energy LECHDE model with future event horizon, particle horizon and Hubble horizon cut-offs, and compare the results with those of obtained in the study of inflation by holographic dark energy HDE model. In comparison, the spectrum of primordial scalar power spectrum in the LECHDE model becomes redder than the spectrum in HDE model. Moreover, the consistency with the observational data in LECHDE model of inflation, constrains the reheating temperature and Hubble parameter by one parameter of holographic dark energy and t…
This paper is devoted to find the feasible shape functions for the construction of static wormhole geometry in the frame work of logarithmic-corrected $R^2$ gravity model. We discuss the asymptotically flat wormhole solutions sustained by the matter sources with anisotropic pressure, isotropic pressure and barotropic pressure. For anisotropic case, we consider three shape functions and evaluate the null energy conditions and weak energy conditions graphically along with their regions. Moreover, for barotropic and isotropic pressures, we find shape function analytically and discuss its properti…
Here, we peruse cosmological usage of the most promising candidates of dark energy in the framework of $f(T)$ gravity theory. We reconstruct the different $f(T)$ modifed gravity models in the spatially flat FRW universe according to entropy-corrected versions of the holographic and new agegraphic dark energy models in power-law and logarithmic corrections, which describe accelerated expansion history of the universe. We conclude that the equation of state parameter of the entropy-corrected models can transit from quintessence state to phantom regime as indicated by recent observations or can l…
In this letter, we consider the theory of $F(R)$ gravity with the lagrangian density $ £= R+αR^2 + βR^2 \ln βR $. We obtain the constant curvature solutions and find the scalar potential of the gravitational field. We also obtain the mass squared of a scalaron in the Einstein$^,$s frame. We find cosmological parameters corresponding to the recent Plank 2015 results. Finally, we analyze the critical points and stability of the new modified theory of gravity and find that logarithmic correction is necessary to have successful model.
In this paper, we consider AdS black hole in $d$-dimensional space-time and calculate the logarithmic corrected thermodynamics quantities. We study the effects of thermal fluctuations on the thermodynamics of higher dimensional AdS black hole. We exploit such logarithmic corrected quantities to construct Van der Walls black holes solution and study the effects of logarithmic correction on the Van der Waals black holes. We also investigate the effect of thermal fluctuations on the equation of state. We find that the Van der Waals black hole is completely stable in the presence of the logarithmi…
In this paper, we have considered a cosmological model with the non--minimal kinetic coupling terms and investigated its cosmological implications with respect to the logarithmic entropy-- corrected holographic dark energy (LECHDE). The correspondence between LECHDE in flat FRW cosmology and the phantom dark energy model with the aim to interpret the current universe acceleration is also examined.
In this paper, we consider three-dimensional massive gravity's rainbow and obtain black hole solutions in three different cases of Born-Infeld, logarithmic, and exponential theories of nonlinear electrodynamics. We discuss the horizon structure and geometrical properties. Then, we study thermodynamics of these models by considering the first-order quantum correction effects, which appears as a logarithmic term in the black hole entropy. We discuss such effects on the black hole stability and phase transitions. We find that, due to the quantum corrections, the second-order phase transition happ…
In this paper, we consider dyonic charged AdS black hole which is holographic dual of a van der Waals fluid. We use logarithmic corrected entropy and study thermodynamics of the black hole and show that holographic picture is still valid. Critical behaviors and stability also discussed. Logarithmic corrections arises due to thermal fluctuations which are important when size of black hole be small. So, thermal fluctuations interpreted as quantum effect. It means that we can see quantum effect of a black hole which is a gravitational system.
This paper is devoted to study the generalized second law of thermodynamics in $f(T)$ gravity. We use quantum corrections such as power-law and logarithmic corrected entropies to the horizon entropy along with Gibbs' equation in the thermal equilibrium state. We derive $f(T)$ model by taking into account a power-law scale factor through the first modified Friedmann equation which obeys the condition for a realistic model. Two types of horizons, i.e., Hubble and event horizons are used to check the validity of the generalized second law of thermodynamics with corrected entropies. We conclude th…
In this paper, we have considered $F(R,T)$ gravity as a linear function of the curvature and torsion scalars and interacted it with logarithmic entropy corrected holographic dark energy to evaluate cosmology solutions. The model has been investigated by FRW metric, and then the energy density and the pressure of dark energy have calculated. Also we obtained equation of state (EoS) parameter of dark energy and has plotted it with respect to both variable of cosmic time and $e$-folding number. Finally, we have described the scenario in three status: early, late and future time by $e$-folding num…
In this paper, a general entropy-corrected FRW cosmological model has been presented in which a deceleration-to-acceleration transition occurs according to recent observations. We found that the case for the flat universe ($k=0$), supported by observations, is the most stable one where it successfully passes all stability tests. The stability of the model has been studied through testing the sound speed, the classical and the new nonlinear energy conditions. The model predicts a positive pressure during the early-time decelerating epoch, and a negative pressure during the late-time acceleratin…
In this work, we have studied the logarithmic entropy corrected holographic dark energy (LECHDE) model with Granda-Oliveros (G-O) IR cutoff. The evolution of dark energy (DE) density $Ω'_D$, the deceleration parameter, $q$, and equation of state parameter (EoS), $ω_Λ$, are calculated. We show that the phantom divide may be crossed by choosing proper model parameters, even in absence of any interaction between dark energy and dark matter. By studying the statefinder diagnostic and $ω_Λ-ω_Λ^{\prime}$ analysis, the pair parameters $\{r,s\}$ and $(ω_Λ-ω_Λ^{\prime})$ is calculated for flat GO-LECHD…
For analyzing the thermodynamical behavior of two well-known black holes such as RN-AdS black hole with global monopole and $f(R)$ black hole, we consider the higher order logarithmic corrected entropy. We develop various thermodynamical properties such as, entropy, specific heats, pressure, Gibb's and Helmhotz free energies for both black holes in the presence of corrected entropy. The versatile study on the stability of black holes is being made by using various frameworks such as the ratio of heat capacities ($γ$), grand canonical and canonical ensembles, and phase transition in view of hig…
We analyze the rotation curves of 10 spiral galaxies with a newtonian potential corrected with an extra logarithmic term, using a disc modelization for the spiral galaxies. There is a new constant associated with the extra term in the potential. The rotation curve of the chosen sample of spiral galaxies is well reproduced for a given range of the new constant. It is argued that this correction can have its origin from string configurations. The compatibility of this correction with local physics is discussed.
Using the corrected expression of Hawking temperature derived from the tunneling formalism beyond semiclassical approximation developed by \emph{Banerjee} and \emph{Majhi}\cite{beyond}, we calculate the corrected entropy of a high dimensional Schwarzschild black hole and a 5-dimensional Gauss-Bonnet (GB) black hole. It is shown that the corrected entropy for this two kinds of black hole are in agreement with the corrected entropy formula (\ref{entropy of apparent horiozn}) that derived from tunneling method for a $(n+1)$-dimensional Friedmann-Robertson-Walker (FRW) universe\cite{FRW}. This fea…
In this paper, we use corrected $f(R)$ gravitational model which is polynomial function with a logarithmic term. In that case, we employ the slow-roll condition and obtain the number of cosmological parameter. This help us to verify the swampland conjectures which is guarantee the validation of low - energy quantum field theory. The obtained results shown that the corresponding model is consistent with the swampland conjectures. Also the upper and lower limit of the parameter \textcolor{red}{$n$} are \textcolor{blue}{0.15} and \textcolor{blue}{0.0033}. Finally, by using scalar spectrum index $…
This work is to study the generalized second law (GSL) of thermodynamics in tachyon cosmology where the boundary of the universe is assumed to be enclosed by a dynamical apparent horizon. The model is constrained with the observational data. The two logarithmic and power law corrected entropy is also discussed and conditions to validate the GSL and corrected entropies are obtained.
In this paper we investigate the inflationary phenomenology of an Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet theory with the extension of a logarithmic modified $f(R)$ gravity, compatible with the GW170817 event. The main idea of our work is to study different results for an almost linear Ricci scalar through logarithmic corrections and examine whether such model is viable. First of all, the theoretical framework under slow-roll evolution of the scalar field is presented and also developed the formalism of the constant-roll evolution making predictions for the non- Gaussianities of the models is developed , since …
The modified field equations are written in logarithmic and power law versions of entropy corrected models in Einstein's gravity in the background of FRW universe. In one section, a brief review of the Ho$\check{\text r}$ava-Lifshitz gravity is discussed and the modified field equations in logarithmic and power law versions of entropy corrected models in Ho$\check{\text r}$ava-Lifshitz gravity are formulated. The stability analysis for these models are performed by describing the dynamical system. In another section, a brief review of the fractal universe is presented and the modified field eq…
There has been substantial interest, as of late, in the quantum-corrected form of the Bekenstein-Hawking black hole entropy. The consensus viewpoint is that the leading-order correction should be a logarithm of the horizon area; however, the value of the logarithmic prefactor remains a point of notable controversy. Very recently, Hod has employed statistical arguments that constrain this prefactor to be a non-negative integer. In the current paper, we invoke some independent considerations to argue that the "best guess" for the prefactor might simply be zero. Significantly, this value complies…
We consider a massive black hole in four dimensional AdS space and study the effect of thermal fluctuations on the thermodynamics of the black hole. We consider thermal fluctuations as logarithmic correction terms in the entropy. We analyse the effect of logarithmic correction on thermodynamics potentials like Helmholtz and Gibbs which are found decreasing functions. We study critical points and stability and find that presence of logarithmic correction is necessary to have stable phase and critical point.
In the framework of Brans-Dicke cosmology, we have studied the interacting power-law and logarithmic entropy-corrected holographic dark energy models with different cut-offs. The Brans-Dicke parameter is investigated versus the conditions for the acceleration and phantom phases to show that which entropy corrected model can exhibit acceleration with or without the phantom phase at early and present time universes. Moreover, the classical stability or instability of the interacting power-law and logarithmic entropy-corrected holographic dark energy models with different cut-offs is determined a…
Recently, there has been a lot of attention devoted to resolving the quantum corrections to the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy of the black hole. In particular, the coefficient of the logarithmic term in the black hole entropy correction has been of great interest. In this paper, the black hole is corresponded to a canonical ensemble in statistics by radiant spectrum, resulted from the black hole tunneling effect studies and the partition function of ensemble is derived. Then the entropy of the black hole is calculated. When the first order approximation is taken into account, the logarithmic term…
The tunneling approach beyond semiclassical approximation has been used to calculate the corrected Hawking temperature and entropy for various black holes and FRW universe model. We examine their derivations, and prove that the quantity $H$ in the corrected temperature is the explicit function of the only free parameter $\mathcal{A}$ (which is an auxiliary parameter defined by $\mathcal{A}=\hbar S_{BH}$). Our analysis improves previous calculations, and indicates that the leading order logarithmic correction to entropy is a natural result of the corrected temperature and the first law of therm…
Bekenstein-Hawking Black hole thermodynamics should be corrected to incorporate quantum gravitational effects. Generalized Uncertainty Principle(GUP) provides a perturbational framework to perform such modifications. In this paper we consider the most general form of GUP to find black holes thermodynamics in microcanonical ensemble. Our calculation shows that there is no logarithmic pre-factor in perturbational expansion of entropy. This feature will solve part of controversies in literatures regarding existence or vanishing of this pre-factor.
A matter bouncing entropy-corrected cosmological model has been suggested. The model allows only positive curvature with negative pressure and no violation of the null energy condition. The result obtained in this paper is supported by some recent theoretical works where the combination of positive spatial curvature and vacuum energy leads to non-singular bounces with no violation of the null energy condition. An important feature of the current model is that evolutions of the cosmic pressure, energy density and equation of state parameter are independent of the values of the prefactors $α$ an…
We apply the generalized second law of thermodynamics to discriminate among quantum corrections (whether logarithmic or power-law) to the entropy of the apparent horizon in spatially Friedmann-Robertson-Walker universes. We use the corresponding modified Friedmann equations along with either Clausius relation or the principle of equipartition of the energy to set limits on the value of a characteristic parameter entering the said corrections.
Applying Clausius relation, $δQ=TdS$, to apparent horizon of a FRW universe with any spatial curvature, and assuming that the apparent horizon has temperature $T=1/(2π\tilde {r}_A)$, and a quantum corrected entropy-area relation, $S=A/4G +α\ln A/4G$, where $\tilde {r}_A$ and $A$ are the apparent horizon radius and area, respectively, and $α$ is a dimensionless constant, we derive modified Friedmann equations, which does not contain a bounce solution. On the other hand, loop quantum cosmology leads to a modified Friedmann equation $H^2 =\frac{8πG}{3}ρ(1-ρ/ρ_{\rm crit})$. We obtain an entropy ex…
We investigate the effect of thermal fluctuations on the thermodynamics of a Lovelock-AdS black hole. Taking the first order logarithmic correction term in entropy we analyze the thermodynamic potentials like Helmholtz free energy, enthalpy and Gibbs free energy. We find that all the thermodynamic potentials are decreasing functions of correction coefficient $α$. We also examined this correction coefficient tmust be positive by analysing $P-V$ diagram. Further we study the P-V criticality and stability and find that presence of logarithmic correction in it is necessary to have critical points …
Based on the universality of the entropy-area relation of a black hole, and the fact that the generalized uncertainty principle (GUP) adds a logarithmic correction term to the entropy in accordance with most approaches to quantum gravity, we argue that the GUP-corrected entropy-area relation is universal for all black objects. This correction to the entropy produces corrections to the thermodynamics. We explicitly calculate these corrections for three types of black holes: Reissner--Nordström, Kerr, and charged AdS black holes, in addition to spinning black rings. In all cases we find that the…
In this work, we study the parameterized black hole solution by applying the Newman-Janis approach and also examine the Hawking temperature. We consider a Lagrangian field equation associated with the generalized uncertainty principle to study the motion of boson particles. By using semi-classical phenomenon, we analyze the modified Hawking temperature and graphically check the effects of deformation, rotation and correction parameter on black hole geometry. Furthermore, we investigate the logarithmic corrected entropy and also analyze the graphical behavior of deformation and quantum gravity …
The quantum scenario concerning Hawking radiation, gives us a precious clue that a black hole has its temperature directly connected to its area gravity and that its entropy is proportional to the horizon area. These results have shown that there exist a deep association between thermodynamics and gravity. The recently introduced Barrow formulation of back holes entropy, influenced by the spacetime geometry, shows the quantum fluctuations effects through Barrow exponent, $Δ$, where $Δ=0$ represents the usual spacetime and its maximum value, $Δ=1$, characterizes a fractal spacetime. The quantum…
In this paper we investigate how to describe in a unified way a constant-roll inflationary era with a dark energy era, by using the theoretical framework of $F(R)$ gravity. To this end, we introduce some classes of appropriately chosen $F(R)$ gravity models, and we examine in detail how the unification of early and late-time acceleration eras can be achieved. We study in detail the inflationary era, and as we demonstrate it is possible to achieve a viable inflationary era, for which the spectral index of primordial curvature perturbations and the scalar-to-tensor ratio can be compatible with t…
The holographic dark energy (HDE) is considered to be the most promising candidate of dark energy. Its definition is originally motivated from the entropy-area relation which depends on the theory of gravity under consideration. Recently a new definition of HDE is proposed with the help of quantum corrections to the entropy-area relation in the setup of loop quantum cosmology. Using this new definition, we investigate the model of interacting dark energy and derive its effective equation of state. Finally we establish a correspondence between generalized Chaplygin gas and entropy-corrected hol…
The investigation of quantum gravity effects in order to avoid the big bang singularity is a requisite, so that the idea of oscillating universes is introduced as an alternative for standard cosmological model. Therefore, the Friedmann equations arising from the quantum corrections of entropy-area relation provide the possibility of studying the oscillating universes. Addition to necessity of surveying the bouncing solutions, however, the values of unknown constant parameters are still a matter of open debate. In this paper, we consider modified Friedmann equations with logarithmic entropy cor…
A simple regular black hole solution satisfying the weak energy condition is obtained within Einstein--non--linear electrodynamics theory. We have computed the thermodynamic properties of this black hole by a careful analysis of the horizons and we have found that the usual Bekenstein--Hawking entropy gets corrected by a logarithmic term. Therefore, in this sense our model realizes some quantum gravity predictions which add this kind of correction to the black hole entropy. In particular, we have established some similitudes between our model and a quadratic generalized uncertainty principle. …
In this paper we shall study the inflationary aspects of a logarithmic corrected $R^2$ Starobinsky inflation model, in the presence of a Kalb-Ramond field in the gravitational action of $F(R)$ gravity. Our main interest is to pin down the effect of this rank two antisymmetric tensor field on the inflationary phenomenology of the $F(R)$ gravity theory at hand. The effects of the Kalb-Ramond field are expected to be strong during the inflationary era, however as the Universe expands, the energy density of the Kalb-Ramond field scales as $\sim a^{-6}$ so dark matter and radiation dominate over th…
By considering the logarithmic correction to the energy density, we study the behavior of Hubble parameter in the holographic dark energy model. We assume that the universe is dominated by interacting dark energy and matter and the accelerated expansion of the universe, which may be occurred in the early universe or late time, is studied.
In this paper, we continue the analysis of the effective model of quantum Schwarzschild black holes recently proposed by some of the authors in [1,2]. In the resulting spacetime the central singularity is resolved by a black-to-white hole bounce, quantum effects become relevant at a unique mass independent curvature scale, while they become negligible in the low curvature region near the horizon and classical geometry is approached asymptotically. This is the case independently of the relation between the black and white hole masses, which are thus freely specifiable independent observables. A…
We investigate further the recent analysis \cite{R.Banerjee2}, based on a Hamilton-Jacobi type approach, to compute the temperature and entropy of black holes beyond the semiclassical approximation. It is shown how non spherically symmetric geometries are inducted in the general formalism by explicitly considering the BTZ black hole. The leading (logarithmic) and non leading corrections to the area law are obtained.
We show the importance of the Voros product in defining a noncommutative Schwarzschild black hole. The corrected entropy/area-law is then computed in the tunneling formalism. Two types of corrections are considered; one, due to the effects of noncommutativity and the other, due to the effects of going beyond the semiclassical approximation. The leading correction to the semiclassical entropy/area-law is logarithmic and its coefficient involves the noncommutative parameter.
Motivated by the holographic principle, it has been suggested that the dark energy density may be inversely proportional to the area $A$ of the event horizon of the universe. However, such a model would have a causality problem. In this work, we consider the entropy-corrected version of the holographic dark energy model in the non-flat FRW universe and we propose to replace the future event horizon area with the inverse of the Ricci scalar curvature. We obtain the equation of state (EoS) parameter $ω_Λ$, the deceleration parameter $q$ and $Ω_D'$ in the presence of interaction between Dark Ener…
We emphasize the importance of the Voros product in defining a noncommutative inspired Reissner-Nordström black hole. The entropy of this black hole is then computed in the tunneling approach and is shown to obey the area law at the next to leading order in the noncommutative parameter $θ$. Modifications to entropy/area law is then obtained by going beyond the semi-classical approximation. The leading correction to the semiclassical entropy/area law is found to be logarithmic and its coefficient involves the noncommutative parameter $θ$.
In this paper we consider the generalized uncertainty principle in the tunneling formalism via Hamilton-Jacobi method to determine the quantum-corrected Hawking temperature and entropy for 2+1-dimensional noncommutative acoustic black holes. In our results we obtain an area entropy, a correction logarithmic in leading order, a correction term in subleading order proportional to the radiation temperature associated with the noncommutative acoustic black holes and an extra term that depends on a conserved charge. Thus, as in the gravitational case, there is no need to introduce the ultraviolet c…
Recently, there has been much attention devoted to resolving the quantum corrections to the Bekenstein--Hawking (black hole) entropy. In particular, many researchers have expressed a vested interest in fixing the coefficient of the sub-leading logarithmic term. In the current paper, we are able to make some substantial progress in this direction by utilizing the generalized uncertainty principle (GUP). Notably, the GUP reduces to the conventional Heisenberg relation in situations of weak gravity but transcends it when gravitational effects can no longer be ignored. Ultimately, we formulate the…
In this work we consider the entropy-corrected version of interacting holographic dark energy (HDE), in the non-flat universe enclosed by apparent horizon. Two corrections of entropy so-called logarithmic 'LEC' and power-law 'PLEC' in HDE model with apparent horizon as an IR-cutoff are studied. The ratio of dark matter to dark energy densities $u$, equation of state parameter $w_D$ and deceleration parameter $q$ are obtained. We show that the cosmic coincidence is satisfied for both interacting models. By studying the effect of interaction in EoS parameter, we see that the phantom divide may b…
