Jets from boosted heavy particles have a typical angular scale which can be used to distinguish them from QCD jets. We introduce a machine learning strategy for jet substructure analysis using a spectral function on the angular scale. The angular spectrum allows us to scan energy deposits over the angle between a pair of particles in a highly visual way. We set up an artificial neural network (ANN) to find out characteristic shapes of the spectra of the jets from heavy particle decays. By taking the Higgs jets and QCD jets as examples, we show that the ANN of the angular spectrum input has similar performance to existing taggers. In addition, some improvement is seen when additional extra radiations occur. Notably, the new algorithm automatically combines the information of the multi-point correlations in the jet.
In this paper we introduce a new approach to study jet substructure in the center-of-mass frame of the jet. We demonstrate that it can be used to discriminate the boosted heavy particles from the QCD jets and the method is complimentary to the existing other jet substructure algorithms. Applications to searches for hadronically decaying W/Z+jets and heavy resonance that decays to a WW final state are also discussed.

In this paper we study the identification of boosted hadronically decaying top quarks using jet substructure in the center-of-mass frame of the jet. We demonstrate that the method can greatly reduce the QCD jet background while maintaining high identification efficiency of the boosted top quark even in a very high pileup condition. Applications to searches for heavy resonances that decay to a $t\bar{t}$ final state are also discussed.
We present a perturbative QCD factorization formula for substructures of an energetic Higgs jet, taking the energy profile resulting from the $H\to b\bar b$ decay as an example. The formula is written as a convolution of a hard Higgs decay kernel with two $b$-quark jet functions and a soft function that links the colors of the two $b$ quarks. We derive an analytical expression to approximate the energy profile within a boosted Higgs jet, which significantly differs from those of ordinary QCD jets. This formalism also extends to boosted $W$ and $Z$ bosons in their hadronic decay modes, allowing…
We initiate the study of the time substructure of jets, motivated by the fact that the next generation of detectors at particle colliders will resolve the time scale over which jet constituents arrive. This effect is directly related to hadronization, which transforms partons into massive hadrons with a distribution of velocities. We review the basic predictions for the velocity distribution of jet hadrons, and suggest an application for this information in the context of boosted object tagging. By noting that the velocity distribution is determined by the properties of the color string which …
Study of polarization of heavy particles is an important branch of research in today's collider studies. The massive $W$ boson has two types of polarization states, which usually are studied via the angular distribution of its decay products. We have studied polarization of hadronic and boosted $W$ boson using jet substructure technique at 14 TeV LHC. Two different methods, viz. N-subjettiness and Soft Drop, were used to find the subjets, which are approximately considered to be the two hadronic decay products of $W$, inside boosted $W$ jets. These subjets were then used to find the distributi…
In this paper we study the identification of the b quark inside a boosted hadronically decaying top quark in the center-of-mass frame of the jet. We demonstrate that the method can be used to greatly reduce the QCD jet background even in a very high pileup condition. The method has a much smaller fake rate for QCD jets compared to typical b quark identification algorithms in jets at the same signal efficiency. When combining the b quark identification in the center-of-mass frame of the jet with jet substructure information, we can improve the rejection rate of QCD jet background by almost an o…
Top polarization is an important probe of new physics that couples to the top sector, and which may be discovered at the 14 TeV LHC. Taking the example of the MSSM, we argue that top polarization measurements can put a constraint on the soft supersymmetry breaking parameter A_t. In light of the recent discovery of a Higgs-like boson of mass ~125 GeV, a large A_t is a prediction of many supersymmetric models. To this end, we develop a *detector level* analysis methodology for extracting polarization information from hadronic tops using boosted jet substructure. We show that with 100 fb^(-1) of …
Jets with transverse energy of few TeV are becoming now common in LHC data. Most of these jets are produced by QCD processes and some from the collimated decay of highly boosted objects like W, Z, H0 and top-quark. The study of such QCD jets may shed light on QCD showering processes and the identification of the jets coming from decays may test the Standard Model under extreme conditions and may also provide the first hints for Physics Beyond the Standard Model. A short review of jet algorithms, Correction procedures for pile-up effects and commonly used substructure observables are described.
We study jet substructures of a boosted polarized top quark, which undergoes the semileptonic decay $t\to b\ellν$, in the perturbative QCD framework. The jet mass distribution (energy profile) is factorized into the convolution of a hard top-quark decay kernel with the bottom-quark jet function (jet energy function). Computing the hard kernel to leading order in QCD and inputting the latter functions from the resummation formalism, we observe that the jet mass distribution is not sensitive to the helicity of the top quark, but the energy profile is: energy is accumulated faster within a left-h…
Jet substructure techniques are playing an essential role in exploring the TeV scale at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), since they facilitate the efficient reconstruction and identification of highly-boosted objects. Both for the LHC and for future colliders, there is a growing interest in using jet substructure methods based only on charged-particle information. The reason is that silicon-based tracking detectors offer excellent granularity and precise vertexing, which can improve the angular resolution on highly-collimated jets and mitigate the impact of pileup. In this paper, we assess how…
We propose a novel jet substructure observable of boosted tops that is related to the linear polarization of the $W$ boson in boosted top quark decay, which results in a $\cos2ϕ$ angular correlation between the $t\to bW$ and $W\to f\bar{f'}$ decay planes. We discuss in detail the origin of such linear polarization by applying Wigner's little group transformation. We show that the unique $\cos2ϕ$ angular correlation only exists in the boosted regime but not in the top quark rest frame. We construct an experimental observable for such correlation based on the transverse energy deposition asymmet…
This report of the BOOST2012 workshop presents the results of four working groups that studied key aspects of jet substructure. We discuss the potential of the description of jet substructure in first-principle QCD calculations and study the accuracy of state-of-the-art Monte Carlo tools. Experimental limitations of the ability to resolve substructure are evaluated, with a focus on the impact of additional proton proton collisions on jet substructure performance in future LHC operating scenarios. A final section summarizes the lessons learnt during the deployment of substructure analyses in se…
We study jet substructures of a boosted polarized top quark, which undergoes the hadronic decay $t\to b u\bar d$, in the perturbative QCD framework, focusing on the energy profile and the differential energy profile. These substructures are factorized into the convolution of a hard top-quark decay kernel with a bottom-quark jet function and a $W$-boson jet function, where the latter is further factorized into the convolution of a hard $W$-boson decay kernel with two light-quark jet functions. Computing the hard kernels to leading order in QCD and including the resummation effect in the jet fun…
Jet substructure has emerged as a critical tool for LHC searches, but studies so far have relied heavily on shower Monte Carlo simulations, which formally approximate QCD at leading-log level. We demonstrate that systematic higher-order QCD computations of jet substructure can be carried out by boosting global event shapes by a large momentum Q, and accounting for effects due to finite jet size, initial-state radiation (ISR), and the underlying event (UE) as 1/Q corrections. In particular, we compute the 2-subjettiness substructure distribution for boosted Z -> q qbar events at the LHC at next…
Two Higgs doublet extensions of the standard model, such as supersymmetry, predict the existence of charged Higgs bosons. We explore the reach for TeV-scale charged Higgs bosons through their associated production with top quarks, and their decay to boosted top jets and $μ_x$ tagged boosted bottom jets, at a 14 TeV CERN Large Hadron Collider and at a 100 TeV Future Circular Collider. In particular, we show the moderate $\tanβ$ "wedge" region of parameter space cannot be probed at the Large Hadron Collider for TeV-scale $H^\pm$ because the cross section is too small. However, a 100 TeV future p…
We discuss the constraints on new physics from Higgs production through vector boson fusion in the context of an effective field theory that preserves Standard Model gauge symmetries. We find that the constraints on dimension-6 operators are significantly improved over those from the VBF signal strength by studying the Higgs transverse momentum distribution. Focusing on the $\mathcal{O}_{HW}$ operator, we find that boosted VBF decaying to photons yields constraints competitive with boosted WW production in the fully leptonic final state, and calculate projected limits for both at the 14 TeV LH…
Higgs Bosons produced via gluon-gluon fusion (ggF) with large transverse momentum ($p_T$) are sensitive probes of physics beyond the Standard Model. However, high $p_T$ Higgs Boson production is contaminated by a diversity of production modes other than ggF: vector boson fusion, production of a Higgs boson in association with a vector boson, and production of a Higgs boson with a top-quark pair. Combining jet substructure and event information with modern machine learning, we demonstrate the ability to focus on particular production modes. These tools hold great discovery potential for boosted…
Based on the jet image approach, which treats the energy deposition in each calorimeter cell as the pixel intensity, the Convolutional neural network (CNN) method has been found to achieve a sizable improvement in jet tagging compared to the traditional jet substructure analysis. In this work, the Mask R-CNN framework is adopted to reconstruct Higgs jets in collider-like events, with the effects of pileup contamination taken into account. This automatic jet reconstruction method achieves higher efficiency of Higgs jet detection and higher accuracy of Higgs boson four-momentum reconstruction th…
The production of the Standard Model Higgs boson in association with a vector boson, followed by the dominant decay to $H \rightarrow b\bar{b}$, is a strong prospect for confirming and measuring the coupling to $b$-quarks in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=14$ TeV. We present an updated study of the prospects for this analysis, focussing on the most sensitive highly Lorentz-boosted region. The evolution of the efficiency and composition of the signal and main background processes as a function of the transverse momentum of the vector boson are studied covering the region $200-1000$ GeV, comparing…

The Higgs production and decay rates offer a new way to probe new physics beyond the Standard Model. While dynamics aiming at alleviating the hierarchy problem generically predict deviations in the Higgs rates, the current experimental analyses cannot resolve the long- and short-distance contributions to the gluon fusion process and thus cannot access directly the coupling between the Higgs and the top quark. We investigate the production of a boosted Higgs in association with a high-transverse momentum jet as an alternative to the $t\bar{t}h$ channel to pin down this crucial coupling. Present…
We present an investigation of the dependence of searches for boosted Higgs bosons using jet substructure on the perturbative and non-perturbative parameters of the Herwig++ Monte Carlo event generator. Values are presented for a new tune of the parameters of the event generator, together with the an estimate of the uncertainties based on varying the parameters around the best-fit values.
At the Large Hadron Collider, numerous physics processes expected within the standard model and theories beyond it give rise to very high momentum particles decaying to multihadronic final states. Development of algorithms for efficient identification of such "boosted" particles while rejecting the background from multihadron jets from light quarks and gluons can greatly aid in the sensitivity of measurements and new particle searches. This paper presents a new method for identifying boosted high-mass particles using event shapes in Lorentz-boosted reference frames. Variables calculated in the…
We show how generalized energy correlation functions can be used as a powerful probe of jet substructure. These correlation functions are based on the energies and pair-wise angles of particles within a jet, with (N+1)-point correlators sensitive to N-prong substructure. Unlike many previous jet substructure methods, these correlation functions do not require the explicit identification of subjet regions. In addition, the correlation functions are better probes of certain soft and collinear features that are masked by other methods. We present three Monte Carlo case studies to illustrate the u…
Observables which discriminate boosted topologies from massive QCD jets are of great importance for the success of the jet substructure program at the Large Hadron Collider. Such observables, while both widely and successfully used, have been studied almost exclusively with Monte Carlo simulations. In this paper we present the first all-orders factorization theorem for a two-prong discriminant based on a jet shape variable, $D_2$, valid for both signal and background jets. Our factorization theorem simultaneously describes the production of both collinear and soft subjets, and we introduce a n…
Jet substructure is playing a central role at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) probing the Standard Model in extreme regions of phase space and providing innovative ways to search for new physics. Analytic calculations of experimentally successful observables are a primary catalyst driving developments in jet substructure, allowing for a deeper understanding of observables and for the exploitation of increasingly subtle features of jets. In this paper we present a field theoretic framework enabling systematically improvable calculations of groomed multi-prong substructure observables, which bui…
We introduce the energy flow polynomials: a complete set of jet substructure observables which form a discrete linear basis for all infrared- and collinear-safe observables. Energy flow polynomials are multiparticle energy correlators with specific angular structures that are a direct consequence of infrared and collinear safety. We establish a powerful graph-theoretic representation of the energy flow polynomials which allows us to design efficient algorithms for their computation. Many common jet observables are exact linear combinations of energy flow polynomials, and we demonstrate the lin…
We study high-pt jets from QCD and from highly-boosted massive particles such as tops, W, Z and Higgs, and argue that infrared-safe observables can help reduce QCD backgrounds. Jets from QCD are characterized by different patterns of energy flow compared to the products of highly-boosted heavy particle decays, and we employ a variety of jet shapes, observables restricted to energy flow within a jet, to explore this difference. Results from Monte Carlo generators and arguments based on perturbation theory support the discriminating power of the shapes we refer to as planar flow and angularities…
The inclusive Higgs production rate through gluon fusion has been measured to be in agreement with the Standard Model (SM). We show that even if the inclusive Higgs production rate is very SM-like, a precise determination of the boosted Higgs transverse momentum shape offers the opportunity to see effects of natural new physics. These measurements are generically motivated by effective field theory arguments and specifically in extensions of the SM with a natural weak scale, like composite Higgs models and natural supersymmetry. We show in detail how a measurement at high transverse momentum o…
By representing each collider event as a point cloud, we adopt the Graphic Convolutional Network (GCN) with focal loss to reconstruct the Higgs jet in it. This method provides higher Higgs tagging efficiency and better reconstruction accuracy than the traditional methods which use jet substructure information. The GCN, which is trained on events of the $H$+jets process, is capable of detecting a Higgs jet in events of several different processes, even though the performance degrades when there are boosted heavy particles other than the Higgs in the event. We also demonstrate the signal and bac…
We present the study of the $WH$ and $ZH$ search with the Higgs Boson decayed to $b\bar{b}$ at the Large Hadron Collider. The Higgs Boson and the Vector Boson are required to be boosted, and the Higgs Boson is reconstructed with Jet Trimming Technique. The statistical significance for 30$fb^{-1}$ data is 4.5 $σ$, which is comparable to the previous result.
The Higgs field in the standard model (SM) may couple to new physics sectors related with dark matter and/or massive neutrinos. In this paper we propose a novel signature, the boosted di-Higgs boson plus \ET (which is either a dark matter or neutrino), to probe those new physics sectors. In a large class of models, in particular the supersymmetric SMs and low scale seesaw mechanisms, this signature can play a key role. The signature has clear background, and at the $\sqrt s=$14 TeV high luminosity (HL-)LHC, we can probe it with production rate as low as $\sim$ 0.1 fb. We apply it to benchmark …
We explore the challenging but phenomenologically interesting hierarchical mass spectrum of the Inert Doublet Model where relatively light dark matter along with much heavier scalar states can fully satisfy the constraints on the relic abundance and also fulfill other theoretical as well as collider and astrophysical bounds. To probe this region of parameter space at the LHC, we propose a signal process that combines up to two large radius boosted jets along with substantial missing transverse momentum. Aided by our intuitive signal selection, we capture a hybrid process where the di-fatjet si…
It is widely considered that, for Higgs boson searches at the Large Hadron Collider, WH and ZH production where the Higgs boson decays to b anti-b are poor search channels due to large backgrounds. We show that at high transverse momenta, employing state-of-the-art jet reconstruction and decomposition techniques, these processes can be recovered as promising search channels for the standard model Higgs boson around 120 GeV in mass.
Jet substructure tools have proven useful in a number of high-energy particle-physics studies. A particular case is the discrimination, or tagging, between a boosted jet originated from an electroweak boson (signal), and a standard QCD parton (background). A common way to achieve this is to cut on a measure of the radiation inside the jet, i.e. a jet shape. Over the last few years, analytic calculations of jet substructure have allowed for a deeper understanding of these tools and for the development of more efficient ones. However, analytic calculations are often limited to the region where t…
It has recently been demonstrated with Monte Carlo studies that combining the well-known Y-splitter and trimming techniques gives rise to important gains in the signal significance achievable for boosted electroweak boson tagging at high $p_t$. Here we carry out analytical calculations that explain these findings from first principles of QCD both for grooming via trimming and via the modified mass-drop tagger (mMDT). We also suggest modifications to Y-splitter itself, which result in great simplifications to the analytical results both for pure Y-splitter as well as its combination with genera…
The LHC searches for the CP-odd Higgs boson is studied (with masses from 300 GeV to 1 TeV) in the context of the general two-Higgs-doublet model. With the discovery of the 125 GeV Higgs boson at the LHC, we highlight one promising discovery channel of the hZ. This channel can become significant after the global signal fitting to the 125 GeV Higgs boson in the general two-Higgs-doublet model. It is particularly important in the scenario where two CP-even Higgs bosons in the two-Higgs-doublet model have the common mass of 125 GeV. Since the final states involve a Standard-Model-like Higgs boson,…
The Higgs boson may well be a composite scalar with a finite extension in space. Owing to the momentum dependence of its couplings the imprints of such a composite pseudo Goldstone Higgs may show up in the tails of various kinematic distributions at the LHC, distinguishing it from an elementary state. From the bottom up we construct the momentum dependent form factors to capture the interactions of the composite Higgs with the weak gauge bosons. We demonstrate their impact in the differential distributions of various kinematic parameters for the $pp\rightarrow Z^*H\rightarrow l^+l^-b\bar{b}$ c…
Collider signals of dark photons are an exciting probe for new gauge forces and are characterized by events with boosted lepton jets. Existing techniques are efficient in searching for muonic lepton jets but due to substantial backgrounds have difficulty constraining lepton jets containing only electrons. This is unfortunate since upcoming intensity frontier experiments are sensitive to dark photon masses which only allow electron decays. Analyzing a recently proposed model of kinetic mixing, with new scalar particles decaying into dark photons, we find that existing techniques for electron je…
The CP-violating version of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) is an example of a model where experimental data do not preclude the presence of light Higgs bosons in the range around 10 -- 110 GeV. Such light Higgs bosons, decaying almost wholly to b-bbar pairs, may be copiously produced at the LHC, but would remain inaccessible to conventional Higgs searches because of intractable QCD backgrounds. We demonstrate that a significant number of these light Higgs bosons would be boosted strongly enough for the pair of daughter $b$-jet pairs to appear as a single `fat' jet with substr…
The top quark, being the heaviest particle of the Standard Model, is a prime candidate of where physics beyond the SM might currently hide before our eyes. There are many natural extensions of the SM that rely on top compositeness, and the top quark could follow the paradigm of revealing a substructure when it is probed at high enough momentum transfers. Observing high $p_T$ top final states naturally drives us towards boosted hadronic analyses that can be tackled efficiently with jet substructure techniques. In this paper we analyse the prospects of constraining exemplary non-standard QCD top…
In the wake of the Higgs discovery and over the long haul of the LHC run, one should keep a lookout for kinematic anomalies in the most massive known trio of coupled particles, $t \bar{t} h$. After surveying the scope of prior constraints on chromomagnetic dipole and Higgs-gluon kinetic couplings, we focus on surpluses of boosted-$p_T$ Higgs bosons fomented by these momentum dependent dimension-six operators in $t \bar{t} h$ final states. We uncover a number of simple, $p_T$ weighted angular variables useful for discriminating Standard Model from dimension-6 boosted Higgs distributions, and ma…
Electroweak processes in high-energy lepton collisions are considered in a situation where the incident center-of-mass energy lies below the reaction threshold, but is boosted to the required level by subsequent laser acceleration. Within the framework of laser-dressed quantum field theory, we study the laser-boosted process $\ell^+ \ell^- \to HZ^0$ in detail and specify the technical demands needed for its experimental realization. Further, we outline possible qualitative differences to field-free processes regarding the detection of the produced Higgs bosons.
We demonstrate that the Sommerfeld correction to CDM annihilations can be appreciable if even a small component of the dark matter is extremely cold. Subhalo substructure provides such a possibility given that the smallest clumps are relatively cold and contain even colder substructure due to incomplete phase space mixing. Leptonic channels can be enhanced for plausible models and the solar neighbourhood boost required to account for PAMELA/ATIC data is plausibly obtained, especially in the case of a few TeV mass neutralino for which the Sommerfeld-corrected boost is found to be $\sim10^4-10^5…
We explore the scale-dependence and correlations of jet substructure observables to improve upon existing techniques in the identification of highly Lorentz-boosted objects. Modified observables are designed to remove correlations from existing theoretically well-understood observables, providing practical advantages for experimental measurements and searches for new phenomena. We study such observables in $W$ jet tagging and provide recommendations for observables based on considerations beyond signal and background efficiencies.
We present a novel method to discover the Higgs boson in new physics event samples at the LHC. Our technique applies to broad classes of models where the Higgs has a significant branching fraction to b-bbar. We exploit the recently developed techniques for discovering a boosted Higgs using jet substructure. Our requirements of new physics are quite general: there must be features in the new physics event sample that allow a clean separation from standard model background, and there should be Higgs bosons produced in association with the new physics. We demonstrate that this method superbly fin…
We consider a renormalizable messenger sector with magic messenger fields instead of usual SU(5) complete multiplets. We derive the soft supersymmetry breaking terms and show that the gaugino sector can be parameterized by only two parameters. These parameters can be chosen appropriately to obtain various patterns of gaugino masses and different ratios among them. The sfermion sector can also be characterized by two independent parameters which can be adjusted to change the relative masses of squarks and sleptons. A judicious choice of parameters also allows us to achieve the lightest Higgs bo…
We study techniques for identifying highly boosted top jets, where the subsequent top decay products are not isolated. For hadronic boosted tops, we consider variables which probe the jet substructure in order to reduce the background from QCD jets with large invariant mass. Substructure variables related to two-body kinematics are least sensitive to the modeling of parton shower, while those which involve multi-body kinematics may still have discrimination power. For leptonic boosted tops, we consider variables which characterize the separation between the lepton--although not isolated by con…
In the upcoming LHC run we will be able to probe the structure ofthe loop--induced Higgs--gluon coupling through kinematics. First, we establish state-of-the-art simulations with up to two jets to next-to-leading order including top mass effects. They allow us to search for deviations from the low-energy limits in boosted Higgs production. In addition, the size of the top mass effects suggests that they should generally be included in Higgs studies at the LHC. Next, we show how off-shell Higgs production with a decay to four leptons is sensitive to the same top mass effects. We compare the pot…
We study the observability of new interactions which modify Higgs-pair production via vector-boson fusion processes at the LHC and at future proton-proton colliders. In an effective-Lagrangian approach, we explore in particular the effect of the operator $h^2 W_{μν}^a W^{a,μν}$, which describes the interaction of the Higgs boson with transverse vector-boson polarization modes. By tagging highly boosted Higgs bosons in the final state, we determine projected bounds for the coefficient of this operator at the LHC and at a future 27 TeV or 100 TeV collider. Taking into account unitarity constrain…
I present a new scheme for tagging boosted heavy flavor jets called "$μ_x$ tagging" and its application to TeV-scale physics beyond the Standard Model. Using muons from B hadron decay to define a particular combination "x" of angular information, and jet substructure variables, we identify a clean ($ε_{\mathrm{fake}}/ε_b\sim 1/100$) good efficiency ($ε_b = 14\%$) tag. I demonstrate the usefulness of this new scheme by showing the reach for discovery of leptophobic $Z^\prime\to b\bar b$ and $tH^\pm\to t t b$.
Top-partners -- vector-like quarks which mix predominantly with the top quark -- are simple extensions of the standard model present in many theories of new physics such as little Higgs models, topcolor models, and extra dimensions. Through renormalizable mixing with the top quark, these top-partners inherit couplings to the Higgs boson. Higgs bosons produced from the decay of top-partners are often highly boosted and ideal candidates for analyses based on jet substructure. Using substructure methods, we show that light Higgs bosons decaying to b b-bar can be discovered at the 14 TeV LHC with …
We study a class of realizations of the Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model that is motivated by dark matter and Higgs data, and in which the lightest pseudoscalar Higgs boson mass is smaller than twice the bottom quark mass and greater than twice the tau lepton mass. In such scenarios, the lightest pseudoscalar Higgs boson can be copiously produced at the LHC from the decay of heavier superpartners and will dominantly further decay into a pair of tau leptons that is generally boosted. We make use of a boosted object tagging technique designed to tag such a ditau jet, and estimate th…
We introduce a new jet shape -- N-subjettiness -- designed to identify boosted hadronically-decaying objects like electroweak bosons and top quarks. Combined with a jet invariant mass cut, N-subjettiness is an effective discriminating variable for tagging boosted objects and rejecting the background of QCD jets with large invariant mass. In efficiency studies of boosted W bosons and top quarks, we find tagging efficiencies of 30% are achievable with fake rates of 1%. We also consider the discovery potential for new heavy resonances that decay to pairs of boosted objects, and find significant i…
The two-Higgs-doublet model contains extra Higgs bosons, with mass ranges spanning from several hundred GeV to about 1 TeV. We study the possible experimental searches for the neutral Higgs bosons of $A$ and $H$ at the future high-luminosity LHC runs. Besides of the conventional search modes that are inspired by the supersymmetric models, we discuss two search modes which were not quite addressed previously. They are the decay modes of $A\to hZ$ and $A/H \to t \bar t$. Thanks to the technique of tagging boosted objects of SM-like Higgs bosons and top quarks, we show the improved mass reaches f…
TemplateTagger is a C++ package for jet substructure analysis with Template Overlap Method. The code operates with arbitrary models within fixed-order perturbation theory and arbitrary kinematics. Specialized template generation classes allow the user to implement any model for a decay of a boosted heavy object. In addition to template overlap, the code provides ability to calculate other template shape and energy flow observables. We describe in detail the structure of the package, as well as provide examples of its usage.
