We present the Sommerfeld enhanced Dark Matter (DM) annihilation into gamma ray for a class of three-loop radiative neutrino mass models with large electroweak multiplets where the DM mass is in O(TeV) range. We show that in this model, the DM annihilation rate becomes more prominent for larger multiplets and it is already within the reach of currently operating Imaging Atmospheric Cherenkov telescopes (IACTs), High Energy Stereoscopic System (H.E.S.S.). Furthermore, Cherenkov Telescope Array (CTA), which will begin operating in 2030, will improve this sensitivity by a factor of $\mathcal{O}{(10)}$ and may exclude a large portion of parameter space of this radiative neutrino mass model with larger electroweak multiplet. This implies that the only viable option is the model with lowest electroweak multiplets i.e. singlets of $SU(2)_{L}$ where the DM annihilation rate is not Sommerfeld enhanced and hence it is not yet constrained by the indirect detection limits from H.E.S.S. or future CTA.
We investigate the relation between the annihilation of dark matter (DM) particles into lepton pairs and into 2-body final states including one or two photons. We parametrize the DM interactions with leptons in terms of contact interactions, and calculate the loop-level annihilation into monochromatic gamma rays, specifically computing the ratio of the DM annihilation cross sections into two gamma rays versus lepton pairs. While the loop-level processes are generically suppressed in comparison with the tree-level annihilation into leptons, we find that some choices for the mediator spin and co…
We investigate a Z3 symmetric model with two-loop radiative neutrino masses. Dark matter in the model is either a Dirac fermion or a complex scalar as a result of an unbroken Z3 symmetry. In addition to standard annihilation processes, semi-annihilation of the dark matter contributes to the relic density. We study the effect of the semi-annihilation in the model and and that those contributions are important to obtain the observed relic density. The experimental signatures in dark matter searches are also discussed, where some of them are expected to be different from the signatures of dark ma…
The spectrum of an isotropic extragalactic $γ$-ray background (EGB) has been measured by the Fermi-LAT telescope at high latitudes. Two new models for the EGB are derived from the subtraction of unresolved point sources and extragalactic diffuse processes, which could explain from 30% to 70% of the Fermi-LAT EGB. Within the hypothesis that the two residual EGBs are entirely due to the annihilation of dark matter (DM) particles in the Galactic halo, we obtain $conservative$ upper limits on their annihilation cross section \sigmav. Severe bounds on a possible Sommerfeld enhancement of the annihi…
The annihilation cross section of TeV scale dark matter particles $χ^0$ with electroweak charges into photons is affected by large quantum corrections due to Sudakov logarithms and the Sommerfeld effect. We calculate the semi-inclusive photon energy spectrum in $χ^0χ^0\to γ+X$ in the vicinity of the maximal photon energy $E_γ= m_χ$ with NLL' accuracy in an all-order summation of the electroweak perturbative expansion adopting the pure wino model. This results in the most precise theoretical prediction of the annihilation rate for $γ$-ray telescopes with photon energy resolution of parametric o…
A possible hint of dark matter annihilation has been found in Cuoco, Korsmeier and Krämer (2017) from an analysis of recent cosmic-ray antiproton data from AMS-02 and taking into account cosmic-ray propagation uncertainties by fitting at the same time dark matter and propagation parameters. Here, we extend this analysis to a wider class of annihilation channels. We find consistent hints of a dark matter signal with an annihilation cross-section close to the thermal value and with masses in range between 40 and 130 GeV depending on the annihilation channel. Furthermore, we investigate in how fa…
We present a formalism for estimating the angular power spectrum of extragalactic gamma-rays produced by dark matter annihilating with any general velocity-dependent cross section. The relevant density and velocity distribution of dark matter is modeled as an ensemble of smooth, universal, rigid, disjoint, spherical halos with distribution and universal properties constrained by simulation data. We apply this formalism to theories of dark matter with p-wave annihilation, for which the relative-velocity-weighted annihilation cross section is σv=a+bv^2. We determine that this significantly incre…
Recent measurements of cosmic-ray electron and positron fluxes by PAMELA and ATIC experiments may indicate the existence of annihilating dark matter with large annihilation cross section. We show that the dark matter annihilation in the big-bang nucleosynthesis epoch affects the light element abundances, and it gives stringent constraints on such annihilating dark matter scenarios for the case of hadronic annihilation. Constraints on leptonically annihilating dark matter models are less severer.
In this paper, we explore the possibility of a linearly polarized gamma-ray signal from dark matter annihilations in the Galactic center. Considering neutral weakly interacting massive particles, a polarized gamma-ray signal can be realized by a two-component dark matter model of Majorana fermions with an anapole moment. We discuss the spin alignment of such dark matter fermions in the Galactic center and then estimate the intensity and the polarizability of the final-state electromagnetic radiation in the dark matter annihilations. For low-mass dark matter, the photon flux at sub-GeV energies…
We study the capabilities of the Fermi-LAT instrument for identifying particle Dark Matter properties as mass, annihilation cross section and annihilation channels, with gamma-ray observations from the Galactic Center. For the potential Dark Matter signal, besides the prompt gamma-ray flux produced in Dark Matter annihilations, we also take into account the flux produced by inverse Compton scattering of the electrons and positrons generated in Dark Matter annihilations off the interstellar photon background. We show that the addition of this contribution is crucial in the case of annihilations…
If weakly-interacting massive particles (WIMPs) make up the galactic dark matter halo, high densities of such particles would exist near massive bodies, such as the sun. The resulting annihilations are believed to produce neutrinos, gamma rays and other decay products. If any significant fraction of such annihiliations occur outside of the sun itself, gamma rays may be observable by detectors on Earth. This paper describes a calculation to determine the fraction of solar-captured WIMP annihiliations which occur outside of the sun. The implications of this result on experimental searches is als…
Several extensions of the Standard Model contain right-handed (sterile) neutrinos in the GeV-TeV mass range. Due to their mixing with the active neutrinos, they may give rise to novel effects in cosmology, neutrino physics, and collider searches. In addition, right-handed neutrinos can also appear as final states from dark matter annihilations, with important implications for dark matter indirect detection searches. In this paper, we use current data from the Fermi Large Area Telescope (6-year observation of dwarf spheroidal galaxies) and H.E.S.S. (10-year observation of the Galactic center) t…
We investigate monoenergetic gamma-ray signatures from annihilations of dark matter comprised of Z^1, the first Kaluza-Klein excitation of the Z boson, in a non-minimal Universal Extra Dimensions model. The self-interactions of the non-Abelian Z^1 gauge boson give rise to a large number of contributing Feynman diagrams that do not exist for annihilations of the Abelian gauge boson B^1, which is the standard Kaluza-Klein dark matter candidate. We find that the annihilation rate is indeed considerably larger for the Z^1 than for the B^1. Even though relic density calculations indicate that the m…
It was recently reported that there may exist monochromatic $γ$-ray emission at $\sim 130$ GeV from the Galactic center in the Fermi Large Area Telescope data, which might be related with dark matter (DM) annihilation. In this work we carry out a comprehensive check of consistency of the results with the DM annihilation scenario, using the 3.7 yrs Fermi observation of the inner Galaxy, Galactic halo, clusters of galaxies and dwarf galaxies. The results found are as follows. 1) Very strong constraints on the DM annihilation into continuous $γ$-rays from the Galactic center are set, which are as…
We point out that there are regions in the MSSM parameter space which successfully provide a dark matter (DM) annihilation explanation for observed positron excess (e.g. PAMELA), while still remaining in agreement with all other data sets. Such regions (e.g. the uplifted Higgs region) can realize an enhanced neutralino DM annihilation dominantly into leptons via a Breit-Wigner resonance through the CP-odd Higgs channel. Such regions can give the proper thermal relic DM abundance, and the DM annihilation products are compatible with current antiproton and gamma ray observations. This scenario c…
We report on a recent work proposing measurements of the deeply virtual Compton amplitude (DVCS) $γ^* \to h \bar h γ$ in the timelike kinematic domain which is accessible at electron-positron colliders via the radiative annihilation process $e^+ e^- \to h \bar h γ$.
In this article, we review the prospects for the Fermi satellite (formerly known as GLAST) to detect gamma rays from dark matter annihilations in the Central Region of the Milky Way, in particular on the light of the recent astrophysical observations and discoveries of Imaging Atmospheric Cherenkov Telescopes. While the existence of significant backgrounds in this part of the sky limits Fermi's discovery potential to some degree, this can be mitigated by exploiting the peculiar energy spectrum and angular distribution of the dark matter annihilation signal relative to those of astrophysical ba…
The status of precision calculations for the processes e+e- --> WW --> 4 fermions is reviewed, paying particular attention to questions of gauge invariance and recent progress concerning photonic radiative corrections.
The annihilation of proton and antiproton to electron-positron pair, including radiative corrections due to the emission of virtual and real photons is considered. The results are generalized to leading and next-to leading approximations. The relevant distributions are derived and numerical applications are given in the kinematical range accessible to the PANDA experiment at the FAIR facility.
A gamma line signal in cosmic-ray observation would be found when Higgs is produced at rest or almost rest by DM annihilation because of decay of 126 GeV Higgs into two gamma. This line signal gives a constraint on Higgs production cross section by DM. We examine this point with simple analysis in this work.
Recent studies have suggested the possibility that the lightest supersymmetric particle is a suitable dark matter candidate. In this theoretical framework, annihilations in high density environments like the center of dark matter haloes may produce an intense flux of gamma-rays. In this paper we discuss the possibility of detecting the signatures of neutralino annihilation in nearby galaxies with next generation ground-based detectors.
The substructures of the Galactic dark matter halo such as dark matter subhalos and dwarf galaxies have very low velocity dispersions, which makes them useful in constraining the scenario of Sommerfeld-enhanced dark matter annihilation. We calculate the velocity distribution of dark matter particles in dark matter halo substructures using the Eddington's formula with NFW density profile. We parametrize the effect of Sommerfeld enhancement of s-wave dark matter annihilation on the gamma-ray flux as the Sommerfeld-enhanced J-factors, and explicitly calculate their values for 15 known dwarf spher…
Process of muon (pion) pair production with small invariant mass in the electron-positron high-energy annihilation, accompanied by emission of hard photon at large angles, is considered. We find that the Dell-Yan picture for differential cross section is valid in the charge-even experimental set-up. Radiative corrections both for electron block and for final state block are taken into account.
The installation of forward detectors in CMS and ATLAS turn the LHC to an effective photon-photon collider. The elastic scattering of the beam-protons via the emission of photons, which can be identified by tagging the intact protons in the forward detectors, provides a powerful diagnostic of the central production of new particles through photon-photon annihilation. In this letter we study the central production of dark matter particles and the potential of LHC to constrain the cross section of this process. By virtue of the crossing symmetry, this limit can immediately be used to constrain t…
Pure leptonic radiative decays of heavy-light mesons are calculated using a very simple non-relativistic model. Dominant contribution originates from photon emission from light initial quark. We find $BR(B^\pm\to\ellνγ)\sim3.5\times10^{-6}$ and $BR(D_s\to \ellνγ)\sim1.7 \times10^{-4}$. The importance of these reactions to clarify the dynamics of the annihilation graph is emphasized.
We give predictions for the branching ratios of several rare radiative B-decays which proceed only through weak annihilation mechanism. In addition to previous analysis we estimate the branching ratios of $\bar{B}^0_s\to D^{*0}γ$ and $B_c^-\toρ^-γ$ decays and obtain $2.87\cdot 10^{-9}$ and $2.59\cdot 10^{-7}$ for them correspondingly. The accuracy of the predictions is at the level of 20\%.
We calculate the flux of cosmic gamma rays expected {}from the annihilation of neutralinos in the Galactic halo. Our calculation of the annihilation cross section to two photons improves the existing calculations by inclusion of exact one-loop diagrams for the amplitudes involving Higgs boson and chargino states as well as those involving fermion and sfermion states. A survey of supersymmetric parameter space shows that numerous models would be observable at the $3σ$ level with an air Cerenkov telescope with an exposure of $10^4 \meter^2 \yr$.
We discuss techniques for obtaining a numerically-stable evaluation of the fully differential cross section for the virtual photon correction to single hard photon bremsstrahlung in two different computational schemes. We also compare the role of finite mass corrections in these schemes.
The process of the muon (pion) pair production with small invariant mass in the electron--positron high--energy annihilation, accompanied by emission of hard photon at large angles, is considered. We find that the Drell--Yan picture for differential cross section is valid in the charge--even experimental set--up. Radiative corrections both for electron block and for final state block are taken into account.
The Monte Carlo event generator PHOKHARA, which simulates hadron and muon production at electron-positron colliders through radiative return, has been extended to final states with three pions. A model for the form factor based on generalized vector dominance has been employed, which is consistent with presently available experimental observations.
Several experiments have reported regions in the TeV sky with an excess of cosmic rays. Here we consider the possibility that the excess cosmic rays are coming from dark matter annihilation in nearby subhalos. We provide motivation for dark matter as the source of the excess and show that dark matter annihilations can naturally produce the cosmic ray anisotropy without the need for exotic dark matter models. We show that viable dark matter explanations of the cosmic ray excess are consistent with current measurements of antiprotons, positrons, and gamma-rays. Additionally, we show that the dar…
We study the indirect detection of neutralino dark matter using positrons and gamma rays from its annihilation in the galactic halo. Considering the HESS data as the spectrum constituting the gamma--ray background, we compare the prospects for the experiments GLAST and PAMELA in a general supergravity framework with non--universal scalar and gaugino masses. We show that with a boost factor of about 10, PAMELA will be competitive with GLAST for typical NFW cuspy profiles.
In this talk, we present the predictions for a number of radiative decays $B_{(s)}\to Vγ$, with the vector meson in the final state, which proceed through the weak-annihilation mechanism. Within the factorization approximation, we take into account the photon emission from the $B$-meson loop and from the vector-meson loop. The highest branching ratios for the weak-annihilation reactions reported here are ${\cal B}(\bar B^0_s\to J/ψγ)=1.5\cdot 10^{-7}$ and ${\cal B}(B^-\to \bar D_s^{*-}γ)=1.7\cdot 10^{-7}$, the estimated accuracy of these predictions being at the level of 20%.
In co-annihilation scenarios, the weakly interacting dark matter particle (WIMP) is close in mass to another particle that can decay into the WIMP. As a result, both particles freeze out at roughly the same time in the early universe, and both contribute to the effective dark matter annihilation cross-section. Since the heavier particle does not need to be weakly interacting, the co-annihilation processes are in general subject to sizeable radiative corrections. Here this is analyzed for the example of neutralino-stop co-annihilation in supersymmetry. The leading QCD corrections are calculated…
In view of the current interest in combining different observations to constraint annihilating WIMP dark matter, we examine the relation between the Sommerfeld effect at the recombination epoch and in the galactic halo. By considering an up-to-date collection of interpolations of cosmic rays lepton data (AMS-02 2014, Fermi and PAMELA), as dark matter annihilation signals, we show that current cosmic rays measurements and recent Planck 2015 constraints from CMB anisotropies almost overlap for dark matter masses of the order of few $TeV$, although great theoretical uncertainties afflict cosmic r…
Boost factors of dark matter annihilation into antiprotons and electrons/positrons due to the clumpiness of dark matter distribution are studied in detail in this work, taking the Sommerfeld effect into account. It has been thought that the Sommerfeld effect, if exists, will be more remarkable in substructures because they are colder than the host halo, and may result in a larger boost factor. We give a full calculation of the boost factors based on the recent N-body simulations. Three typical cases of Sommerfeld effects, the non-resonant, moderately resonant and strongly resonant cases are co…
I discuss contributions to the diffuse gamma-ray background from decay and annihilation of weakly interacting massive particles (WIMPs). I first review the calculation of the cosmological abundance of a WIMP and show that it is simply related to the cross section for annihilation of the WIMP into lighter particles. The diffuse extragalactic background radiation (DEBRA) from WIMP decay is then discussed. I show how observational upper limits to the DEBRA can be used to constrain properties of WIMPs that decay to photons, and I present additional new constraints that unitarity of the annihilatio…
We investigate a scenario where the recently discovered non-thermal hard X-ray emission from the Ophiuchus cluster originates from inverse Compton scattering of energetic electrons and positrons produced in weakly interacting dark matter pair annihilations. We show that this scenario can account for both the X-ray and the radio emission, provided the average magnetic field is of the order of 0.1 microGauss. We demonstrate that GLAST will conclusively test the dark matter annihilation hypothesis. Depending on the particle dark matter model, GLAST might even detect the monochromatic line produce…
High resolution simulations reveal that in the cold dark matter scenario the structures form hierarchically and a large number of substructures survive in the galactic halos. The substructures can be probed if they emit gamma rays via dark matter annihilation. We calculated the gamma ray fluxes from the dark matter annihilations in the substructures of our Galaxy within the frame of the minimal supersymmetric extension of the standard model. The uncertainties of the prediction from both the low energy supersymmetry and especially from the density profiles of dark matter in the substructures ar…
We calculate the radiative corrections to the annihilation of the Dark Matter particles into leptons. Lepton masses are taken into account. As the Dark Matter particles are considered both Dirac and Majorana fermions. We sum up all the leading logarithms contributions where it is possible. We show that in the Dirac fermion case the resulting cross-section is consistent with the renormalization group prediction: the cross-section have the Drell-Yan form. Whereas, in the Majorana fermions case we have two essentially different limits of the resulting cross-section and quantitively the answer str…
The ampitude of the $B\toργ$ decay induced by the flavour-changing neutral currents contains the penguin contribution and the weak-annihilation contribution generated by the 4-quark operators in the effective Hamiltonian. The penguin contribution is known quite well. We analyse the weak-annihilation which is suppressed by the heavy-quark mass compared to the penguin contribution. In the factorization approximation, the weak annihilation amplitude is represented in terms of the leptonic decay constants and the meson-photon matrix elements of the weak currents. The latter contain the $Bγ$, $ργ$ …
We present the contributions from all types of one-loop corrections to the scattering amplitude for the pair production of polarized charginos or neutralinos from polarized electron-positron annihilation. The contributions are classified in terms of ``prototypes'' distinguished by the number of particles inside the loops and their spins. The results are quoted in terms of the Veltman-Passarino functions in terms of general couplings and internal masses. The results can therefore be applied to any supersymmetric extension of the Standard Model or indeed to any polarized fermion pair production …
Complete one-loop electroweak radiative corrections to the cross section of the process $e^+e^- \to μ^-μ^+ (τ^-τ^+)$ are evaluated with the help of the \SANC system. Higher-order contributions of the initial state radiation are computed in the QED structure function formalism. Numerical results are given for the center-of-mass energy range $\sqrt{s}=5, ~7$~GeV for various polarization degrees of the initial particles.
The lowest order radiative correction to the differential cross-section of process of muon pair production with emission of hard photon at high energy electron-positron annihilation are calculated. Taking into account the emission of additional soft and hard photon the cross-section can be put in the form of Drell-Yan process in leading logarithmical approximation. Applying the crossing transformation we obtain the cross section of radiative electron-muon high-energy scattering process. Virtual and soft photon emission contributions of non-leading form are tabulated for several typical kinemat…
We propose a Two-Loop induced radiative neutrino model with hidden gauged $U(1)$ symmetry, in which a dark matter of Dirac fermion arises. The relic density gets contribution from annihilation and semi-annihilation due to a residual $\mathbb{Z}_3$ parity. After imposing the requirement of neutrino oscillation data and lepton flavour violation bounds, we find out that the semi-annihilation plays a crucial role in order to satisfy the relic density constraint $0.117 < Ωh^2 < 0.123$, by proceeding near either one of two deconstructive scalar resonances. Our numerical analysis demonstrates the all…
Annihilation of high energy, $\sim 10^{21}$eV, neutrinos on big bang relic neutrinos of $\sim 1$eV mass, clustered in the Galactic halo or in a nearby galaxy cluster halo, has been suggested to generate, through hadronic Z decay, high energy nucleons and photons which may account for the detected flux of >10^{20}eV cosmic-rays. We show that the flux of high energy nucleons and photons produced by this process is dominated by annihilation on the uniform, non-clustered, neutrino background, and that the energy generation rate of 10^{21}eV neutrinos required to account for the detected flux of >1…
The $γ$-ray and neutrino emissions from dark matter (DM) annihilation in galaxy clusters are studied. After about one year operation of Fermi-LAT, several nearby clusters are reported with stringent upper limits of GeV $γ$-ray emission. We use the Fermi-LAT upper limits of these clusters to constrain the DM model parameters. We find that the DM model distributed with substructures predicted in cold DM (CDM) scenario is strongly constrained by Fermi-LAT $γ$-ray data. Especially for the leptonic annihilation scenario which may account for the $e^{\pm}$ excesses discovered by PAMELA/Fermi-LAT/HES…
We discuss a little-studied class of weak decay modes sensitive to only one quark topology at leading order in G_F: M --> m gamma, where M,m are mesons with completely distinct flavor quantum numbers. Specifically, they proceed via the annihilation of the valence quarks through a W and the emission of a single hard photon, and thus provide a clear separation between CKM and strong interaction physics. We survey relevant calculations performed to date, discuss experimental discovery potential, and indicate interesting future directions.
Observations by the Fermi-LAT telescope have uncovered a significant $γ$-ray excess toward the Milky Way Galactic Center. There has been no detection of a similar signal in the direction of the Milky Way dwarf spheroidal galaxies. Additionally, astronomical observations indicate that dwarf galaxies and other faint galaxies are less dense than predicted by the simplest cold dark matter models. We show that a self-interacting dark matter model with a particle mass of roughly 50 GeV annihilating to the mediator responsible for the strong self-interaction can simultaneously explain all three obser…
Evaluating the relic density of dark matter is an interesting possibility to constrain the parameter space of new physics models. However, this calculation is affected by several sources of uncertainty. On the particle physics side, considerable progress has been made in the recent years concerning the calculation of the annihilation cross-section of dark matter, which is needed in this context. In particular, within the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model, the theoretical uncertainty has been reduced through the calculation of loop corrections. The present contribution gives an overview ove…
We obtain predictions for a number of radiative decays $B_{(s)}\to Vγ$, $V$ the vector meson, which proceed through the weak-annihilation mechanism. Within the factorization approximation, we take into account the photon emission from the $B$-meson loop and from the vector-meson loop; the latter subprocesses were not considered in the previous analyses but are found to have sizeable impact on the $B_{(s)}\to Vγ$ decay rate. The highest branching ratios for the weak-annihilation reactions reported here are ${\cal B}(\bar B^0_s\to J/ψγ)=1.5\cdot 10^{-7}$ and ${\cal B}(B^-\to \bar D_s^{*-}γ)=1.7\…
We consider an extension of the Standard Model by a singlet scalar that accounts for the dark matter of the Universe. Within this model we compute the expected gamma ray flux from the annihilation of dark matter particles in a consistent way. To do so, an updated analysis of the parameter space of the model is first presented. By enforcing the relic density constraint from the very beginning, the viable parameter space gets reduced to just two variables: the singlet mass and the higgs mass. Current direct detection constraints are then found to require a singlet mass larger than 50 GeV. Finall…
A class of meson decay modes sensitive to only one quark topology at leading G_F order (annihilation of valence quarks through a W) is described. No experimental observations, nor even upper limits, have been reported for these decays. This work presents a simpleminded (order-of-magnitude) calculation of their branching fractions, and compares to results of previous calculations where available. Although rare, one of these modes (D_s^+ --> rho^+ gamma) might already be observable at charm experiments, two others (D^+ --> K^{*+} gamma, B^+ --> D_s^{*+} gamma) should appear at the B factories, a…
Atmospheric Cerenkov Telescopes, including HESS and MAGIC, have detected a spectrum of gamma-rays from the galactic center region which extends from $\sim$200 GeV or lower, to at least $\sim$10 TeV. Although the source of this radiation is not yet known, the spectrum appears to behave as a simple power-law, which is not the expectation for gamma-rays generated through the annihilation of dark matter particles. If instead we conclude that the source of these gamma-rays is astrophysical in origin, this spectrum will constitute a background for future dark matter searches using gamma-rays from th…
We consider the possibility that ultra-high energy cosmic rays originate from the annihilation of relic superheavy dark-matter particles. We find that a cross section of <sigma_A v> ~ 10^{-26}cm^2 (M_X/10^{12}GeV)^{3/2} is required to account for the observed rate of super-GZK events if the superheavy dark matter follows a Navarro-Frenk-White density profile. This would require extremely large-l contributions to the annihilation cross section. We also calculate the possible signature from annihilation in sub-galactic clumps of dark matter and find that the signal from sub-clumps dominates and …
A brief review of the indirect detection signatures of dark matter is given. In particular, detection methods of dark matter particle annihilation to antimatter and gamma-rays are reviewed. With the GLAST satellite soon to be launched, a crucial window in the energy range of a few GeV up to 300 GeV will open. The good angular and energy resolution of the instrument means that structures predicted by cold dark matter models can be searched for. Large, currently planned ground-based imaging Cherenkov telescope arrays, may further improve the limits, or discover a signal, if the current understan…
Radiative corrections to the annihilation of proton--antiproton into electron--positron are revisited, including virtual and real (soft and hard) photon emission. This issue is relevant for the time-like form factors measurements planned at the PANDA experiment at the FAIR facility, in next future. The relevant formulas are given. A stand-alone Monte-Carlo integrator is developed on the basis of the calculated radiative cross section and its application to the PANDA experiment is illustrated.
