We prove orthogonality and compute explicitly the (quadratic) norms for super-Jack polynomials $SP_λ((z_1,\ldots,z_n),(w_1,\ldots,w_m);θ)$ with respect to a natural positive semi-definite, but degenerate, Hermitian product $\langle\cdot,\cdot\rangle_{n,m}^\prime$. In case $m=0$ (or $n=0$), our product reduces to Macdonald's well-known inner product $\langle\cdot,\cdot\rangle_n^\prime$, and we recover his corresponding orthogonality results for the Jack polynomials $P_λ((z_1,\ldots,z_n);θ)$. From our main results, we readily infer that the kernel of $\langle\cdot,\cdot\rangle_{n,m}^\prime$ is spanned by the super-Jack polynomials indexed by a partition $λ$ not containing the $m\times n$ rectangle $(m^n)$. As an application, we provide a Hilbert space interpretation of the deformed trigonometric Calogero-Moser-Sutherland operators of type $A(n-1,m-1)$.
We construct a linear basis for the polynomial eigenfunctions of a family of deformed Calogero-Moser-Sutherland operators naturally associated with hypergeometric polynomials. In our construction the eigenfunctions are obtained as linear combinations of polynomials which generalise the (super) Schur polynomials. As a byproduct, we obtain explicit series representations for the super Jack polynomials.
We consider the generalised Calogero-Moser-Sutherland quantum integrable system associated to the configuration of vectors $AG_2$, which is a union of the root systems $A_2$ and $G_2$. We establish the existence of and construct a suitably defined Baker-Akhiezer function for the system, and we show that it satisfies bispectrality. We also find two corresponding dual difference operators of rational Macdonald-Ruijsenaars type in an explicit form.
We develop a theory for the Hermite-Krichever Ansatz on the Heun equation. As a byproduct, we find formulae which reduce hyperelliptic integrals to elliptic ones.
Explicit solutions of the classical Calogero (rational with/without harmonic confining potential) and Sutherland (trigonometric potential) systems is obtained by diagonalisation of certain matrices of simple time evolution. The method works for Calogero & Sutherland systems based on any root system. It generalises the well-known results by Olshanetsky and Perelomov for the A type root systems. Explicit solutions of the (rational and trigonometric) higher Hamiltonian flows of the integrable hierarchy can be readily obtained in a similar way for those based on the classical root systems.
We propose and develop the Bethe Ansatz method for the Heun equation. As an application, holomorphy of the perturbation for the BC_1 Inozemtsev model from the trigonometric model is proved.
We obtain isomonodromic transformations for Heun's equation by generalizing Darboux transformation, and we find pairs and triplets of Heun's equation which have the same monodromy structure. By composing generalized Darboux transformations, we establish a new construction of the commuting operator which ensures finite-gap property. As an application, we prove conjectures in part III.
A new approach to the finite-gap property for the Heun equation is constructed. The relationship between the finite-dimensional invariant space and the spectral curve is clarified. The monodromies are calculated and are expressed as hyperelliptic integrals. Applications to the spectral problem for the $BC_1$ Inozemtsev model are obtained.
A new generalization of the Jack polynomials that incorporates fermionic variables is presented. These Jack superpolynomials are constructed as those eigenfunctions of the supersymmetric extension of the trigonometric Calogero-Moser-Sutherland (CMS) model that decomposes triangularly in terms of the symmetric monomial superfunctions. Many explicit examples are displayed. Furthermore, various new results have been obtained for the supersymmetric version of the CMS models: the Lax formulation, the construction of the Dunkl operators and the explicit expressions for the conserved charges. The ref…
Using a technique based on the Yangian Gelfand-Zetlin algebra and the associated Yangian Gelfand-Zetlin bases we construct an orthogonal basis of eigenvectors in the Calogero-Sutherland Model with spin, and derive product-type formulas for norms of these eigenvectors.
We investigate common algebraic structure for the rational and trigonometric Calogero-Sutherland models by using the exchange-operator formalism. We show that the set of the Jack polynomials whose arguments are Dunkl-type operators provides an orthogonal basis for the rational case.
We study the hole propagator of the Calogero-Sutherland model with SU(2) internal symmetry. We obtain the exact expression for arbitrary non-negative integer coupling parameter $β$ and prove the conjecture proposed by one of the authors. Our method is based on the theory of the Jack polynomials with a prescribed symmetry.
We extend the study on the algebraic structure of the $su(n)$ color Calogero-Sutherland models to the case of $gl(n|m)$ color CS model and show that the generators of the super-Yangian $Y(gl(n|m))$ can be obtained from two $gl(n|m)$ loop algebras. Also, a super $W_{\infty}$ algebra for the SUSY CS model is constructed.
The wave functions of the Calogero-Sutherland model are known to be expressible in terms of Jack polynomials. A formula which allows to obtain the wave functions of the excited states by acting with a string of creation operators on the wave function of the ground state is presented and derived. The creation operators that enter in this formula of Rodrigues-type for the Jack polynomials involve Dunkl operators.
We give the construction of quantum Lax equations for IRF models and difference versions of Calogero-Moser-Sutherland models introduced by Ruijsenaars. We solve the equations using factorization properties of the underlying face Hopf algebras/elliptic quantum groups. This construction is in the spirit of the Adler-Kostant-Symes method and generalizes our previous work to the case of face Hopf algebras/elliptic quantum groups with dynamical R-matrices.
We consider the gl(N)-invariant Calogero-Sutherland Models with N=1,2,3,... in a unified framework, which is the framework of Symmetric Polynomials. By the framework we mean an isomorphism between the space of states of the gl(N)-invariant Calogero-Sutherland Model and the space of Symmetric Laurent Polynomials. In this framework it becomes apparent that all gl(N)-invariant Calogero-Sutherland Models are manifestations of the same entity, which is the commuting family of Macdonald Operators. Macdonald Operators depend on two parameters $q$ and $t$. The Hamiltonian of gl(N)-invariant Calogero-S…
The Schrödinger operators with exchange terms for certain Calogero-Sutherland quantum many body systems have eigenfunctions which factor into the symmetric ground state and a multivariable polynomial. The polynomial can be chosen to have a prescribed symmetry (i.e. be symmetric or antisymmetric) with respect to the interchange of some specified variables. For four particular Calogero-Sutherland systems we construct an eigenoperator for these polynomials which separates the eigenvalues and establishes orthogonality. In two of the cases this involves identifying new operators which commute with …
The Hamiltonian of the trigonometric Calogero-Sutherland model coincides with some limit of the Hamiltonian of the elliptic Calogero-Moser model. In other words the elliptic Hamiltonian is a perturbed operator of the trigonometric one. In this article we show the essential self-adjointness of the Hamiltonian of the elliptic Calogero-Moser model and the regularity (convergence) of the perturbation for the arbitrary root system. We also show the holomorphy of the joint eigenfunctions of the commuting Hamiltonians w.r.t the variables (x_1, >..., x_N) for the A_{N-1}-case. As a result, the algebra…
We discuss the simultaneous diagonalization of a family of commuting difference operators by Koornwinder's multivariable generalization of the Askey-Wilson polynomials. The operators constitute a complete set of quantum integrals for a difference version of the $n$-particle quantum Calogero-Sutherland system related to the root system $BC_n$.
We consider the physical properties of elementary excitations of the Calogero-Sutherland (CS) model with SU(K) internal symmetry. From the results on the thermodynamics of this model, we obtain the charge, spin, and statistics of elementary excitations. Combining this knowledge and the known results on the dynamics in the spinless CS model, we propose the expression for the dynamical correlation functions of the SU(K) CS model. In the asymptotic region, we confirm the consistency of our results with predictions from conformal field theory.
Spin generalization of the relativistic Calogero-Sutherland model is constructed by using the affine Hecke algebra and shown to possess the quantum affine symmetry $\uqglt$. The spin-less model is exactly diagonalized by means of the Macdonald symmetric polynomials. The dynamical density-density correlation function as well as one-particle Green function are evaluated exactly. We also investigate the finite-size scaling of the model and show that the low-energy behavior is described by the $C=1$ Gaussian theory. The results indicate that the excitations obey the fractional exclusion statistics…
It is known that the trigonometric Calogero-Sutherland model is obtained by the trigonometric limit (τ\to \sqrt{-1} \infty) of the elliptic Calogero-Moser model, where (1,τ) is a basic period of the elliptic function. We show that for all square-integrable eigenstates and eigenvalues of the Hamiltonian of the Calogero-Sutherland model, if \exp (2π\sqrt{-1} τ) is small enough then there exist square-integrable eigenstates and eigenvalues of the Hamiltonian of the elliptic Calogero-Moser model which converge to the ones of the Calogero-Sutherland model for the 2-particle and the coupling constan…
We propose to parametrize the configuration space of one-dimensional quantum systems of N identical particles by the elementary symmetric polynomials of bosonic and fermionic coordinates. It is shown that in this parametrization the Hamiltonians of the A_N, BC_N, B_N, C_N and D_N Calogero and Sutherland models, as well as their supersymmetric generalizations, can be expressed -- for arbitrary values of the coupling constants -- as quadratic polynomials in the generators of a Borel subalgebra of the Lie algebra gl(N+1) or the Lie superalgebra gl(N+1|N) for the supersymmetric case. These algebra…
