This article presents a relationship between the sharp constant of the Sobolev inequality and the initial criterion to the global existence of degenerate parabolic-parabolic Keller-Segel system with the diffusion exponent $\frac{2n}{2+n}<m<2-\frac{2}{n}$. The global weak solution obtained in this article does not need any smallness assumption on the initial data. Furthermore, a uniform in time $L^{\infty}$ estimate of the weak solutions is obtained via the Moser iteration, where the constant in $L^p$ estimate for the gradient of the chemical concentration has been exactly formulated in order to complete the iteration process.
We study the solutions of the two-dimensional Keller-Segel system describing chemotaxis. The Keller-Segel system as well as the properties of the blow-up set has been extensively studied. In this paper we obtain generalized solutions for the Keller-Segel system in the sense of measures as the limit of two-different regularizations of it. We will show that the resulting limit measures, that are in some suitable sense global weak solutions of the Keller-Segel system, depend in the regularization.

The existence and nonexistence of global in time solutions is studied for a class of equations generalizing the chemotaxis model of Keller and Segel. These equations involve Lévy diffusion operators and general potential type nonlinear terms.
The focus of this paper is on solutions to a two-dimensional Keller-Segel system containing sub-logistic sources. We show that the presence of sub-logistic terms is adequate to prevent blow-up phenomena even in strongly degenerate Keller-Segel systems. Our proof relies on several techniques, including parabolic regularity theory in Orlicz spaces, variational arguments, interpolation inequalities, and the Moser iteration method.

We investigate nonlinear dynamics near an unstable constant equilibrium in the classical Keller-Segel model. Given any general perturbation of magnitude $δ$, we prove that its nonlinear evolution is dominated by the corresponding linear dynamics along a fixed finite number of fastest growing modes, over a time period of $ln(1/δ)$. We study a new nonlocal approach to the mathematical modelling of the Chemotaxis problem, which describes the random motion of a certain population due a substance concentration. Considering the initial-boundary value problem for the fractional hyperbolic Keller-Segel model, we prove the solvability of the problem. The solvability result relies mostly on fractional calculus and kinetic formulation of scalar conservation laws.

The global existence of classical solutions to the fully parabolic system is established provided that the ratio of the chemotactic coefficient to the motility of cells is not too large.
In this paper we study the initial boundary value problem for the system $u_t-Δu^m=-\mbox{div}(u^{q}\nabla v),\ v_t-Δv+v=u$. This problem is the so-called Keller-Segel model with nonlinear diffusion. Our investigation reveals that nonlinear diffusion can prevent overcrowding. To be precise, we show that solutions are bounded as long as $m>q>0$, thereby substantially generalizing the known results in this area. Furthermore, our result seems to imply that the Keller-Segel model can have bounded solutions and blow-up ones simultaneously.

We construct weak global in time solutions to the classical Keller-Segel system cell movement by chemotaxis in two dimensions when the total mass is below the well-known critical value. Our construction takes advantage of the fact that the Keller-Segel system can be realized as a gradient flow in a suitable functional product space. This allows us to employ a hybrid variational principle which is a generalisation of the minimising implicit scheme for Wasserstein distances introduced by Jordan, Kinderlehrer and Otto (1998).
We introduce the planar helical flows on three dimensional torus and study the dissipation enhancement of such flows. We then use such flows as transport flows to solve the three dimensional advective Kuramoto-Sivashinsky and Keller-Segel equations. The global well-posedness of the Kuramoto-Sivashinsky equation is achieved when the linearized operator does not have growing mode in the direction orthogonal to the flow. The global classical solution of the three dimensional Keller-Segel is ensured for any size of the torus with arbitrarily large initial data.

The Coulomb interaction force is regularised with a cutoff of size $N^{- α}$, with arbitrary $α\in (0, 1 / 2)$. In particular we obtain a quantitative result for the maximal distance between the real and mean-field $N$-particle trajectories.
As it is well known, the parabolic-elliptic Keller-Segel system of chemotaxis on the plane has global-in-time regular nonnegative solutions with total mass below the critical value $8π$. Solutions with mass above $8π$ blow up in a finite time. We show that the case of the parabolic-parabolic Keller-Segel is different: each mass may lead to a global-in-time-solution, even if the initial data is a finite signed measure. These solutions need not be unique, even if we limit ourselves to nonnegative solutions.
We consider a Keller-Segel model coupled to the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations in spatial dimensions two and three. We establish the local existence of regular solutions and present some blow-up criteria for both cases that equations of oxygen concentration is of parabolic or hyperbolic type. We also prove global existence and decay estimate in time under the some smallness conditions of initial data.
In this paper, we consider the Cauchy problem for a generalized parabolic-elliptic Keller-Segel equation with fractional dissipation and the additional mixing effect of advection by an incompressible flow. Under suitable mixing condition on the advection, we study well-posedness of solution with large initial data. We establish the global $L^\infty$ estimate of the solution through nonlinear maximum principle, and obtain the global classical solution.
We investigate the one-dimensional Keller-Segel model where the diffusion is replaced by a non-local operator, namely the fractional diffusion with exponent $0<α\leq 2$. We prove some features related to the classical two-dimensional Keller-Segel system: blow-up may or may not occur depending on the initial data. More precisely a singularity appears in finite time when $α<1$ and the initial configuration of cells is sufficiently concentrated. On the opposite, global existence holds true for $α\leq1$ if the initial density is small enough in the sense of the $L^{1/α}$ norm.

We study the convergence of a generalized nonlinear variant of the Keller-Segel to the degenerate Cahn-Hilliard system. We study the existence of steady states to the Keller-Segel system with linear chemotactical sensitivity function on a smooth bounded domain in $\mathbb R^N,$ $N\ge3,$ having rotational symmetry. We find three different types of chemoattractant concentration which concentrate along suitable $(N-2)-$dimensional minimal submanifolds of the boundary. The corresponding density of the cellular slime molds exhibit in the limit one or more Dirac measures supported on those boundary submanifolds.
We study the global in time existence of solutions to the parabolic-elliptic Patlak-Keller-Segel system of multi-species populations. We prove that if the initial mass satisfies an appropriate notion of sub-criticality, then the system has a solution defined for all time. We explore the gradient flow structure in the Wasserstein space to study the question of existence. Moreover, we show that the obtained solution satisfies energy dissipation inequality.

We consider a Liouville-type PDE on a smooth bounded planar domain, which is related to stationary solutions of the Keller-Segel's model for chemotaxis. We prove existence of solutions under some algebraic conditions on the parameters. In particular, if the domain is not simply connected, then we can find solution for a generic choice of the parameters. We use variational and Morse-theoretical methods.
We consider the parabolic-elliptic Patlak-Keller-Segel (PKS) model of chemotactic aggregation in two space dimensions which describes the aggregation of bacteria under chemo-taxis. When the mass is equal to $8π$ and the second moment is finite (the doubly critical case), we give a precise description of the dynamic as time goes to infinity and extract the limiting profile and speed. The proof shows that this dynamic is stable under perturbations.
A simple proof of the existence of solutions for the two-dimensional Keller-Segel model with measures with all the atoms less than $8π$ as the initial data is given. This result has been obtained by Senba--Suzuki and Bedrossian--Masmoudi using different arguments. Moreover, we show a uniform bound for the existence time of solutions as well as an optimal hypercontractivity estimate.
The existence of generalised global supersolutions with a control upon the total muss is established for the parabolic-parabolic Keller-Segel system with logarithmic sensitivity for any space dimension. It is verified that smooth supersolutions of this sort are actually classical solutions. Unlike the previously existing constructions, neither is the chemotactic sensitivity coefficient required to be small, nor is it necessary for the initial data to be radially symmetric. We study stationary solutions to the Keller--Segel equation on curved planes. We prove the necessity of the mass being $8 π$ and a sharp decay bound. Notably, our results do not require the solutions to have a finite second moment, and thus are novel already in the flat case. Furthermore, we provide a correspondence between stationary solutions to the static Keller--Segel equation on curved planes and positively curved Riemannian metrics on the sphere. We show that the Keller-Segel model in one dimension with Neumann boundary conditions and quadratic cellular diffusion has an intricate phase transition diagram depending on the chemosensitivity strength. Explicit computations allow us to find a myriad of symmetric and asymmetric stationary states whose stability properties are mostly studied via free energy decreasing numerical schemes. The metastability behavior and staircased free energy decay are also illustrated via these numerical simulations.
We prove the uniqueness of Hölder continuous weak solutions via duality argument and vanishing viscosity method for the Keller-Segel system of porous medium type equations coupled to the Stokes system in dimensions three. An important step is the estimate of the Green function of parabolic equations with lower order terms of variable coefficients, which seems to be of independent interest.
We consider a coupled Patlak-Keller-Segel-Navier-Stokes system in $\mathbb{R}^2$ that describes the collective motion of cells and fluid flow, where the cells are attracted by a chemical substance and transported by ambient fluid velocity, and the fluid flow is forced by the friction induced by the cells. We consider the boundary value problem $-Δu + u =λe^u$ in $Ω$ with Neumann boundary condition, where $Ω$ is a bounded smooth domain in $\mathbb R^2$, $λ>0.$ This problem is equivalent to the stationary Keller-Segel system from chemotaxis. We establish the existence of a solution $u_λ$ which exhibits a sharp boundary layer along the entire boundary $\partialΩ$ as $λ\to 0$. We consider a coupled system consisting of the Navier-Stokes equations and a porous medium type of Keller-Segel system that model the motion of swimming bacteria living in fluid and consuming oxygen. We establish the global-in-time existence of weak solutions for the Cauchy problem of the system in dimension three. In this paper we consider a one-dimensional fully parabolic quasilinear Keller-Segel system with critical nonlinear diffusion. We show uniform-in-time boundedness of solutions, which means, that unlike in higher dimensions, there is no critical mass phenomenon in the case of critical diffusion. To this end we utilize estimates from a well-known Lyapunov functional and a recently introduced new Lyapunov-like functional in [3].
In this paper, we proposed a coupled Patlak-Keller-Segel-Navier-Stokes system, which has dissipative free energy. On the plane $\rr^2$, if the total mass of the cells is strictly less than $8π$, classical solutions exist for any finite time, and their $H^s$-Sobolev norms are almost uniformly bounded in time. For the radially symmetric solutions, this $8π$-mass threshold is critical. On the torus $\mathbb{T}^2$, the solutions are uniformly bounded in time under the same mass constraint.

The existence of weak solutions and upper bounds for the blow-up time for time-discrete parabolic-elliptic Keller-Segel models for chemotaxis in the two-dimensional whole space are proved. For various time discretizations, including the implicit Euler, BDF, and Runge-Kutta methods, the same bounds for the blow-up time as in the continuous case are derived by discrete versions of the virial argument. The theoretical results are illustrated by numerical simulations using an upwind finite-element method combined with second-order time discretizations.
We investigate in this note the dynamics of a one-dimensional Keller-Segel type model on the half-line. On the contrary to the classical configuration, the chemical production term is located on the boundary. We prove, under suitable assumptions, the following dichotomy which is reminiscent of the two-dimensional Keller-Segel system. This note is devoted to several inequalities deduced from a special form of the logarithmic Hardy-Littlewood-Sobolev, which is well adapted to the characterization of stationary solutions of a Keller-Segel system written in self-similar variables, in case of a subcritical mass. For the corresponding evolution problem, such functional inequalities play an important role for identifying the rate of convergence of the solutions towards the stationary solution with same mass.
Starting from the quantitative stability result of Bianchi and Egnell for the 2-Sobolev inequality, we deduce several different stability results for a Gagliardo-Nirenberg-Sobolev inequality in the plane. Then, exploiting the connection between this inequality and a fast diffusion equation, we get a quantitative stability for the Log-HLS inequality. Finally, using all these estimates, we prove a quantitative convergence result for the critical mass Keller-Segel system.
