Periods of second kind differentials of (n,s)-curves

For elliptic curves, expressions for the periods of elliptic integrals of the second kind in terms of theta-constants, have been known since the middle of the 19th century. In this paper we consider the problem of generalizing these results to curves of higher genera, in particular to a special class of algebraic curves, the so-called $(n,s)$-curves. General derivative Thomae formula for singular half-periods

The paper develops the result of second Thomae theorem in hyperelliptic case. The main formula, called general Thomae formula, provides expressions for values at zero of the lowest non-vanishing derivatives of theta functions with singular characteristics of arbitrary multiplicity in terms of branch points and period matrix. Thomae formula for Abelian covers of $\mathbb{CP}^{1}$

Abelian covers of $\mathbb{CP}^{1}$, with fixed Galois group $A$, are classified, as a first step, by a discrete set of parameters. Any such cover $X$, of genus $g\geq1$ say, carries a finite set of $A$-invariant divisors of degree $g-1$ on $X$ that produce non-zero theta constants on $X$. Constructing genus 3 hyperelliptic Jacobians with CM

Given a sextic CM field $K$, we give an explicit method for finding all genus 3 hyperelliptic curves defined over $\mathbb{C}$ whose Jacobians are simple and have complex multiplication by the maximal order of this field, via an approximation of their Rosenhain invariants. Building on the work of Weng, we give an algorithm which works in complete generality, for any CM sextic field $K$, and computes minimal polynomials of the Rosenhain invariants for any period matrix of the Jacobian. Arithmetic-geometric means for hyperelliptic curves and Calabi-Yau varieties

In this paper, we define a generalized arithmetic-geometric mean $μ_g$ among $2^g$ terms motivated by $2τ$-formulas of theta constants. By using Thomae's formula, we give two expressions of $μ_g$ when initial terms satisfy some conditions. One is given in terms of period integrals of a hyperelliptic curve $C$ of genus $g$. The other is by a period integral of a certain Calabi-Yau $g$-fold given as a double cover of the $g$-dimensional projective space $\mathbf{P}^g$.
