The $μ$-$τ$ reflection symmetry $(ν_{e},\thinspaceν_μ,\thinspaceν_τ)\rightarrow(\overlineν_{e},\thinspace\overlineν_τ,\thinspace\overlineν_μ)$ and the TM1 mixing (a PMNS matrix with the first column fixed to the TBM form) are both well compatible with experiments. If both approaches are simultaneously assumed, all lepton mixing parameters except for $θ_{13}$ are predicted. In particular, one expects maximal CP violation ($|δ|=90^{\circ}$), maximal atmospheric mixing ($θ_{23}=45^{\circ}$), a slightly less-than-TBM solar mixing angle ($θ_{12}\approx34^{\circ}$), as well as values of $0$ or $π$ for the two Majorana phases. We study the renormalization stability of this highly predictive framework when neutrino mass is described by an effective Weinberg operator and by the type I seesaw mechanism, both in the Standard Model and with supersymmetry.
In this paper, we make an attempt to combine the neutrino trimaximal (TM1 and TM2) mixings and $μ$-$τ$ reflection symmetry in the type-I seesaw model. Such a scenario is highly restrictive and predictive: in addition to three right-handed neutrino masses, there are only five real parameters; all the lepton flavor mixing parameters except for $θ^{}_{13}$ will be predicted. The relations between the model parameters and the measurable neutrino parameters will be derived. The implications of this scenario for leptogenesis will be explored in detail. A further reduction of this scenario to the mor…
In this paper, we consider the imbedding of the popular and well-motivated trimaximal mixing and $μ$-$τ$ reflection symmetry (which can help us shape the forms of the neutrino mass matrix) in the minimal seesaw model (which contains much fewer parameters than the general seesaw model) with two TeV-scale right-handed neutrinos (for realizing a low-scale seesaw) of nearly degenerate masses (for realizing a resonant leptogenesis). However, either for the trimaximal mixing scenario (which is realized through the Form Dominance approach here) or for the $μ$-$τ$ reflection symmetry scenario, leptoge…
In this paper, we impose a magic symmetry on the neutrino mass matrix $m_ν$ with universal four-zero texture and diagonal reflection symmetries. Due to the magic symmetry, the MNS matrix has trimaximal mixing inevitably. Since the lepton sector has only six free parameters, physical observables of leptons are all determined from the charged leptons masses $m_{ei}$, the neutrino mass differences $Δm_{i1}^{2}$, and the mixing angle $θ_{23}$. This scheme predicts $\sin θ_{13} = 0.149$, that is almost equal to the latest best fit, as a function of the lepton masses $m_{e, μ}$ and the mass differen…
We propose a flavour theory of leptons implementing an $A_4$ family symmetry. Our scheme provides a simple way to derive trimaximal neutrino mixing from first principles, leading to simple and testable predictions for neutrino mixing and CP violation. Dark matter mediates neutrino mass generation, as in the simplest scotogenic model.
The measurement of the reactor angle by the Daya Bay and RENO experiments in 2012 has ruled out the tri-bimaximal paradigm. Adopting an S4 family symmetry, we propose direct models of the trimaximal type TM1 in which the tri-bimaximal Klein symmetry of the neutrino sector is broken to a residual Z2 symmetry. In such a scenario, the solar mixing angle is decreased compared to its tri-bimaximal value by about one degree, thus bringing it in excellent agreement with experimental observation. The atmospheric mixing angle, on the other hand, depends on the CP violating Dirac phase delta. Imposing C…
We construct two flavor models based on $S_4$ family symmetry and generalised CP symmetry. In both models, the $S_4$ family symmetry is broken down to the $Z^{SU}_2$ subgroup in the neutrino sector, as a consequence, the trimaximal $\text{TM}_1$ lepton mixing is produced. Depending on the free parameters in the flavon potential, the Dirac CP is predicted to be either conserved or maximally broken, and the Majorana CP phases are trivial. The two models differ in the neutrino sector. The flavon fields are involved in the Dirac mass terms at leading order in the first model, and the neutrino mass…
Trimaximal mixing is the mixing hypothesis with maximal symmetry. In trimaximal mixing there remains a still worrying conflict between the large values of $Δm^2$ preferred by the atmospheric fits (possibly supported by the early K2K data) and reactor limits on $ν_e$-mixing. However, the latest solar results do seem to point to energy-independent (ie. `no-scale') solar solutions, like the trimaximal solution.
We discuss a minimal flavour model with twin modular symmetries, leading to trimaximal TM$_1$ lepton mixing in which the first column of the tri-bimaximal lepton mixing matrix is preserved. The model involves two modular $S_4$ groups, one acting in the neutrino sector, associated with a modulus field value $τ_{SU}$ with residual $Z^{SU}_2$ symmetry, and one acting in the charged lepton sector, associated with a modulus field value $τ_{T}$ with residual $Z^{T}_3$ symmetry. Apart from the predictions of TM$_1$ mixing, the model leads to a new neutrino mass sum rule which implies lower bounds on …
We present a model which employs the seesaw mechanism with five right-handed neutrinos, leading to trimaximal and CP-conserving lepton mixing. Tri-bimaximal mixing is a natural limiting case of our model which occurs when one particular vacuum expectation value is real and preserves the mu-tau interchange symmetry of the Lagrangian. Our model allows for leptogenesis even in the case of exact tri-bimaximal mixing.
We construct a supersymmetric $S_4$ flavor symmetry model with one of the trimaximal neutrino mixing patterns, the so-called TM$_1$, by using the novel way to stabilize flavons, which we proposed recently. The flavons are assumed to have tachyonic supersymmetry breaking mass terms and stabilized by higher-dimensional terms in the potential. We can obtain the desired alignment structure of the flavon vacuum expectation values to realize neutrino masses and mixings consistent with the current observations. This mechanism naturally avoids the appearance of dangerous cosmological domain walls.
Recent T2K, MINOS and Double CHOOZ results, together with global fits of mixing parameters, indicate a sizeable reactor angle theta13 ~ 8 deg which, if confirmed, would rule out tri-bimaximal (TB) lepton mixing. Recently two of us studied the vacuum alignment of the Altarelli-Feruglio A4 family symmetry model including additional flavons in the 1' and 1" representations, leading to so-called "trimaximal" neutrino mixing and allowing a potentially large reactor angle. Here we show how such a model may arise from a Supersymmetric (SUSY) Grand Unified Theory (GUT) based on SU(5), leading to sum r…
In the seesaw framework, in the basis of $M^{}_{\rm R}$ being diagonal, we explore the simplified textures of $M^{}_{\rm D}$ that can naturally yield the trimaximal neutrino mixings and their consequences for the neutrino parameters and leptogenesis. We first formulate the generic textures of $M^{}_{\rm D}$ that can naturally yield the trimaximal mixings and then examine if their parameters can be further reduced. Our analysis is restricted to the simple but instructive scenario that there is only one phase parameter $ϕ$ responsible for both the CP violating effects at low energies and leptoge…
We analyze neutrino mass matrices having one texture zero, assuming that the neutrino mixing matrix has either its first (TM$_1$) or second (TM$_2$) column identical to that of the tribimaximal mixing matrix. We found that all the six possible one texture zero neutrino mass matrices are compatible with the present neutrino oscillation data when combined with TM$_1$ or TM$_2$ mixing. These textures have interesting predictions for the presently unknown parameters such as the effective Majorana neutrino mass, the Dirac CP violating phase and the neutrino mass scale. We also present a way to theo…
Recent T2K results indicate a sizeable reactor angle theta_13 which would rule out exact tri-bimaximal lepton mixing. We study the vacuum alignment of the Altarelli-Feruglio A4 family symmetry model including additional flavons in the 1' and 1" representations and show that it leads to trimaximal mixing in which the second column of the lepton mixing matrix consists of the column vector (1,1,1)^T/sqrt{3}, with a potentially large reactor angle. In order to limit the reactor angle and control the higher order corrections, we propose a renormalisable S4 model in which the 1' and 1" flavons of A4…
Although the measurement of the reactor angle has killed tribimaximal lepton mixing, its descendants survive with charged lepton corrections, or in less constrained forms such as trimaximal mixing and/or mu-tau symmetry, each with characteristic predictions. Such patterns may be enforced by a remnant of some non-Abelian discrete family symmetry, possibly together with a generalised CP symmetry, which could originate from continuous gauge symmetry and/or superstring theory in compactified extra dimensions, as a finite subgroup of the modular symmetry.
Recently T2K gives hint in favor of large reactor angle. Most of the models, with tri-bimaximal mixing at the leading order, can not reproduce such a large mixing angle since they predict typically corrections for the reactor angle of the order of the Cabibbo angle. In this letter, we discuss the possibility to have large reactor angle within the T2K region with maximal atmospheric mixing angle and trimaximal solar mixing angle, through the deviation from tri-bimaximal. We derive the structure of neutrino mass matrix that leads to the large reactor angle leaving maximal atmospheric angle and t…
We propose a next-to-minimal supersymmetric Standard Model (NMSSM) extended by an $\mathbb{A}_{4}\times \boldsymbol{Z}_{3}$ flavor symmetry and three right-handed neutrinos providing a detailed study of the neutrino sector and a solution to the domain wall problem. In this proposal, neutrino masses are generated through Type I seesaw mechanism while the mixing angles are described by the trimaximal mixing realized using the NMSSM singlet S and only two flavon fields. The phenomenology of neutrino parameters is studied for normal and inverted mass hierarchies. In particular, we numerically eval…
We investigate the consequences of $μ-τ$ reflection symmetry in presence of a light sterile neutrino for the $3+1$ neutrino mixing scheme. We discuss the implications of total $μ-τ$ reflection symmetry as well partial $μ-τ$ reflection symmetry. For the total $μ-τ$ reflection symmetry we find values of $θ_{23}$ and $δ$ remains confined near $π/4$ and $\pm π/2$ respectively. The current allowed region for $θ_{23}$ and $δ$ in case of inverted hierarchy lies outside the area preferred by the total $μ-τ$ reflection symmetry. However, interesting predictions on the neutrino mixing angles and Dirac C…
We obtain predictions of lepton mixing parameters for direct models based on Delta(6n^2) family symmetry groups for arbitrarily large n in which the full Klein symmetry is identified as a subgroup of the family symmetry. After reviewing and developing the group theory associated with Delta(6n^2), we find many new candidates for large n able to yield reactor angle predictions within 3 sigma of recent global fits. We show that such Delta(6n^2) models with Majorana neutrinos predict trimaximal mixing with reactor angle theta_{13} fixed up to a discrete choice, an oscillation phase of either zero …
We postulate that the neutrino mass matrix in the lepton flavour basis is an S3 group matrix in the natural representation of S3. This immediately requires one neutrino to be trimaximally mixed, as suggested by the solar neutrino data. We go on to postulate that the charged-lepton mass matrix in the neutrino mass-basis is an S3 class matrix in the natural representation of the S3 class-algebra, leading to exact tri-bimaximal mixing, which is compatible with data overall. The tri-bimaximal mixing matrix is seen to be closely related to the S3 character table, and is properly the S2 C S3 table o…
The neutrino $μ$-$τ$ reflection symmetry has been attracting a lot of attention as it predicts the interesting results $θ^{}_{23} = π/4$ and $δ= \pm π/2$. But it is reasonable to consider breakings of such a symmetry either from the theoretical considerations or on the basis of experimental results. We thus perform a systematic study for the possible symmetry-breaking patterns and their implications for the mixing parameters. The general treatment is applied to some specific symmetry breaking arising from the renormalization group effects for illustration.
Recent stringent experiment data of neutrino oscillations induces partial symmetries such as $Z_{2}$, $Z_{2}\times CP$ to derive lepton mixing patterns. New partial symmetries expressed with elements of group algebras are studied. A specific lepton mixing pattern could correspond to a set of equivalent elements of a group algebra. The transformation which interchanges the elements could express a residual $CP$ symmetry. Lepton mixing matrices from $S_{3}$ group algebras are of the trimaximal form with the $μ-τ$ reflection symmetry. Accordingly, elements of $S_{3}$ group algebras are equivalent…
The neutrino mass matrix has remnant CP symmetry expressed in terms of the lepton mixing matrix, and vice versa the remnant CP transformations allow us to reconstruct the mixing matrix. We study the scenario that all the four remnant CP transformations are preserved by the neutrino mass matrix. The most general parameterization of remnant CP transformations is presented. The lepton mixing matrix is completely fixed by the remnant CP, and its explicit form is derived. The necessary and sufficient condition for conserved Dirac CP violating phase is found. If the Klein four flavor symmetry genera…
We explore the feasibility of the discrete flavor symmetry $S_3$ to explain the pattern of neutrino masses and mixings. In the flavor basis, the neutrino mass matrix is taken to be invariant under $S_3$ symmetry at the zeroth order. The effects of breaking $S_3$ symmetry by matrices invariant under different $S_2$ subgroups of $S_3$ are studied. The resulting retrocirculant perturbation matrix leads to the perturbed $S_3$ neutrino mass matrix having a trimaximal eigenvector as suggested by the solar neutrino data. It is found that after the third order perturbation the neutrino mixings only de…
There are six leptonic unitarity triangles (LUTs) defined by six orthogonality conditions of the three-family lepton flavor mixing matrix in the complex plane. In the framework of the standard model or the minimal supersymmetric standard model, the evolutions of sides and inner angles of the six LUTs from a superhigh energy scale $Λ_{\rm H}^{}$ to the electroweak scale $Λ_{\rm EW}^{}$ due to the renormalization-group equation (RGE) running are derived in the integral form for both Dirac and Majorana neutrinos. Furthermore, the LUTs as an intuitively geometrical language are applied to the desc…
Generalised CP transformations are the only known framework which allows to predict Majorana phases in a flavour model purely from symmetry. For the first time generalised CP transformations are investigated for an infinite series of finite groups, $Δ(6n^2)=(Z_n\times Z_n)\rtimes S_3$. In direct models the mixing angles and Dirac CP phase are solely predicted from symmetry. $Δ(6n^2)$ flavour symmetry provides many examples of viable predictions for mixing angles. For all groups the mixing matrix has a trimaximal middle column and the Dirac CP phase is 0 or $π$. The Majorana phases are predicte…
In the canonical seesaw mechanism we require the relevant neutrino mass terms to be invariant under the $S^{}_3$ charge-conjugation transformations of left- and right-handed neutrino fields. Then both the Dirac mass matrix $M^{}_{\rm D}$ and the right-handed neutrino mass matrix $M^{}_{\rm R}$ are well constrained, so is the effective light Majorana neutrino mass matrix $M^{}_ν$ via the seesaw formula. We find that these mass matrices can be classified into 22 categories, among which some textures respect the well-known $μ$-$τ$ permutation or reflection symmetry and flavor democracy. It is als…

Applying the $A_4$ symmetry in the scenario of unimodular second scheme of trimaximal $TM_2$ mixing matrix, where the charged lepton mass matrix is diagonal and the nature of neutrinos are Majorana, we investigate and analyze feasible two zeros neutrino mass matrices. Among the seven possible two-zero textures with $A_4$ symmetry, we have found that only two textures, namely the texture with $(e, e)$ and $(e,μ)$ vanishing element of mass matrix and its permutation, are consistent with the experimental data in the non-perturbation method. We also obtain new significant relations between phases …
We embed $μ-τ$ reflection symmetry into the minimal seesaw formalism, where two right-handed neutrinos are added to the Standard Model of particle physics. Assuming that both the left- and right-handed neutrino fields transform under $μ-τ$ reflection symmetry, we obtain the required forms of the neutrino Dirac mass matrix and the Majorana mass matrix for the right-handed neutrinos. To investigate the neutrino phenomenology at low energies, we first consider the breaking of $μ-τ$ reflection symmetry due to the renormalization group running, and then systematically study various breaking schemes…
We perform a comprehensive study of family symmetry models based on $A_4$ combined with the generalised CP symmetry $H_{\rm{CP}}$. We investigate the lepton mixing parameters which can be obtained from the original symmetry $A_4\rtimes H_{\rm{CP}}$ breaking to different remnant symmetries in the neutrino and charged lepton sectors. We find that only one case is phenomenologically viable, namely $G^ν_{\rm{CP}}\cong Z^{S}_2\times H^ν_{\rm{CP}}$ in the neutrino sector and $G^{l}_{\rm{CP}}\cong Z^{T}_3\rtimes H^{l}_{\rm{CP}}$ in the charged lepton sector, leading to the prediction of no CP violati…
The $μ-τ$ reflection symmetry of the lepton mixing matrix accommodates maximal atmospheric mixing ($θ_{23}=π/4$) as well as maximal Dirac CP phase ($δ=\pm π/2$) for the Dirac case. In the standard parametrization of the PMNS matrix the reflection symmetric nature is not directly visible while substituting the maximal values of the mixing parameters. This issue has been addressed in this paper. It is found that the reflection symmetry in the 'standard' PMNS matrix can be restored by allowing maximal values of the Majorana CP phases ($α$, $β$) as well, along with maximal $δ$. To accommodate non-…
Nonstandard interactions (NSIs), possible subleading effects originating from new physics beyond the Standard Model, may affect the propagation of neutrinos and eventually contribute to measurements of neutrino oscillations. Besides this, $ μ-τ$ reflection symmetry, naturally predicted by non-Abelian discrete flavor symmetries, has been very successful in explaining the observed leptonic mixing patterns. In this work, we study the combined effect of both. We present an $S_4$ flavor model with $μ-τ$ reflection symmetry realized in both neutrino masses and NSIs. Under this formalism, we perform …
This is a review article about neutrino mass and mixing and flavour model building strategies based on discrete family symmetry. After a pedagogical introduction and overview of the whole of neutrino physics, we focus on the PMNS mixing matrix and the latest global fits following the Daya Bay and RENO experiments which measure the reactor angle. We then describe the simple bimaximal, tri-bimaximal and golden ratio patterns of lepton mixing and the deviations required for a non-zero reactor angle, with solar or atmospheric mixing sum rules resulting from charged lepton corrections or residual t…
The solar and baseline neutrino oscillation data suggest bimaximal neutrino mixing among the first two generations, and trimaximal mixing between all three neutrino flavors. It has been conjectured that this indicates the existence of an underlying symmetry for the leptonic fermion mass textures. The experimentally measured quantities however, are associated to the latter indirectly and in a rather complicated way through the mixing matrices of the charged leptons and neutrinos. Motivated by these facts, we derive exact analytical expressions which directly link the charged lepton and neutrino…
In this paper, we attempt to implement the neutrino $μ$-$τ$ reflection symmetry (which predicts $θ^{}_{23} = π/4$ and $δ= \pm π/2$ as well as trivial Majorana phases) in the minimal seesaw (which enables us to fix the neutrino masses). For some direct (the preliminary experimental hints towards $θ^{}_{23} \neq π/4$ and $δ\neq - π/2$) and indirect (inclusion of the renormalization group equation effect and implementation of the leptogenesis mechanism) reasons, we particularly study the breakings of this symmetry and their phenomenological consequences.
The $μ$-$τ$ reflection symmetry is compatible with current neutrino oscillation data and easily realized under family symmetries. We prove that this symmetry preserves $θ_{23}=45^\circ$, $δ=\pm90^\circ$, $ρ,σ=0,90^\circ$, and can be embedded into the seesaw mechanism. The $μ$-$τ$ reflection symmetry preserved at a high energy scale $Λ_\text{FS}$ will be broken by radiative corrections and result in deviations of $θ_{23}$ from $45^\circ$ and $δ$ from $\pm90^\circ$ at the electroweak scale. We develop an analytical method to derive the corrections to all the mixing parameters. We perform a numer…
We examine the possibility that the lepton mixing matrix may exhibit a strong form of mu-tau universality, in which corresponding elements of the mu- and tau-neutrino flavour eigenstates have equal moduli, and find that it is consistent with present data on neutrino oscillations. We point out that in the Dirac case, this is equivalent to symmetry under mu-tau reflection, ie. the combined operation of mu-tau flavour exchange in the MNS matrix with a CP transformation on the whole leptonic sector. We give the most general form for such a mixing matrix, examine the lepton mass matrices under such…
We consider minimal type-I seesaw framework to realize $ μ-τ$ reflection symmetry in the low-energy neutrino mass matrix, $ M_ν $. Considering DUNE experiment, we scrutinize its potential to measure the precision of 2-3 mixing angle, $ θ_{23} $ and the Dirac CP-phase, $ δ$ for the given symmetry. Later, we examine the precision of these two parameters considering NuFit-3.2 data as one of the important true points. To study the low-energy phenomenology, we further discuss various breaking patterns of such an exact symmetry. Moreover, for each breaking scenario we perform the capability test of …
The $μ$-$τ$ reflection symmetry serves as a unique basis for understanding the observed neutrino mixing as it can lead us to the interesting results $θ^{}_{23} = π/4$ and $δ= -π/2$ which stand close to the current experimental results. But a precise measurement for $θ^{}_{23}$ and $δ$ will probably force us to modify the neutrino mixing $U^{(0)}$ from such a symmetry. Here we perform a study for modifications to $U^{(0)}$ in the forms of $U^{(1)\dagger} U^{(0)}$ and $U^{(0)} U^{(1)}$ where $U^{(1)}= R^{(1)}_{ij}$ (for $ij = 12, 23$ and 13) with $R^{(1)}_{ij}$ denoting a real orthogonal rotatio…
We extend the treatment of neutrinos within the context of SIM(2) Very Special Relativity (VSR) by adding a new discrete symmetry that we call Light Cone Reflection (LCR). We construct a Lagrangian that exhibits both VSR and LCR symmetry, and find that the spectrum involves two neutrinos, one tachyonic and the other not, with the same absolute value of the mass parameter. We argue that LCR symmetry offers a rationale for introducing tachyonic neutrinos.
In previous work we developed a model of neutrinos based on a new symmetry, Light Cone Reflection (LCR), that interchanges spacelike and timelike intervals. In this paper we start with the four-dimensional model, and construct a two-dimensional avatar that obeys the same equations of motion, and preserves both the light-cone reflection symmetry and the chiral symmetry of the original theory. The avatar also contains the interaction that rendered the four-dimensional model gauge invariant. In an addendum, we make some remarks about how to determine the scalar field that enters into the definiti…
We study a $μ- τ$ reflection symmetry in neutrino sector realized at the GUT scale in the context of the seesaw model. In our scenario, the exact $μ- τ$ reflection symmetry realized in the basis where the charged lepton and heavy Majorana mass matrices are diagonal, leads to vanishing lepton asymmetries. We find that, in the minimal supersymmetry extension of the seesaw model with appropriate values of $\tanβ$, the renormalization group (RG) evolution from the GUT scale to seesaw scale can induce a successful leptogenesis. It is shown that the right amount of the baryon asymmetries $η_B$ can b…
We introduce a new symmetry, Light-Cone Reflection (LCR), which interchanges timelike and spacelike intervals. Our motivation is to provide a reason, based on symmetry, why tachyons might exist, with emphasis on application to neutrinos. We show that LCR, combined with translations, leads to a much larger symmetry. We construct an LCR-invariant Lagrangian, and discuss some of its properties. In a simple example, we find complete symmetry in the spectrum between tachyons and ordinary particles. We also show that the theory allows for the introduction of a further gauge invariance related to chi…
In this letter, we consider exact $μ-τ$ reflection symmetries for quarks and leptons. Fermion mass matrices are assumed to be four-zero textures for charged fermions $f = u,d,e$ and a symmetric matrix for neutrinos $ν_{L}$. By a bi-maximal transformation, all the mass matrices lead to $μ-τ$ reflection symmetric forms, which seperately satisfy $T_{u} \, m_{u,ν}^{*} \, T_{u} = m_{u,ν}$ and $T_{d} \, m_{d,e}^{*} \, T_{d} = m_{d,e}$. Reconciliation between the $μ-τ$ reflection symmetries and observed $\sin θ_{13}$ predicts $δ_{CP} \simeq 203^{\circ}$. Moreover, imposition of universal texture $(m_…
The minimal seesaw framework, embroiling the Dirac neutrino mass matrix $ M_D $ and the Majorana neutrino mass matrix $ M_R $, is quite successful to explain the current global-fit results of neutrino oscillation data. In this context, we consider most predictive forms of $ M_D $ and $ M_R $ with two simple parameters, respectively. Considering these matrices, we obtain the low energy neutrino mass matrix under type-I seesaw formalism which obeys $ μ-τ$ reflection symmetry and predicts $ θ_{23} = π/4$ and $ δ= \pm π/2 $. In the given set-up, we also evaluate the Baryon Asymmetry of the Univers…
The $μτ$-reflection symmetry is a simple symmetry capable of predicting all the unknown CP phases of the lepton sector and the atmospheric angle but too simple to predict the absolute neutrino mass scale or the mass ordering. We show that by combining it with a discrete abelian symmetry in a nontrivial way we can additionally enforce a texture-zero and obtain a highly predictive scenario where the lightest neutrino mass is fixed to be in the few meV range for two normal ordering (NO) solutions or in the tens of meV in one inverted ordering (IO) solution. The rate for neutrinoless double beta d…
In the context of the relationship between physics of cosmological dark matter and symmetry of elementary particles a wide list of dark matter candidates is possible. New symmetries provide stability of different new particles and their combination can lead to a multicomponent dark matter. The pattern of symmetry breaking involves phase transitions in very early Universe, extending the list of candidates by topological defects and even primordial nonlinear structures.
