Stimulated by the BESIII observation of $X(2100)$, $X(2500)$, and $η(2225)$, we try to pin down new pseudoscalar meson nonets including these states. The analysis of mass spectra and the study of strong decays indicate that $X(2120)$ and $η(2225)$ associated with $π(2070)$ and the predicted kaon $K(2150)$ may form a new pseudoscalar meson nonet. In addition, more experimental data for $X(2100)$ are necessary to determine its structure of nonets. Then, $X(2500)$, $X(2370)$, $π(2360)$, and the predicted kaon $K(2414)$ can be grouped into another new nonet. These assignments to the discussed pseudoscalar states can be further tested in experiment.
We have performed a numerical analysis of branching ratios and direct CP-asymmetries of B meson decays to two light pseudoscalar nonets with deltaS=1 using QCD improved factorization. The parameters related to B meson including its semileptonic form factors, strange quark mass and the CKM phase angle have been varied over a limited range and phenomenological parameters used to parameterize divergences in hard spectator scattering and weak annihilation have been varied over a wide range simultaneously with an aim to achieve a fit of branching ratios and some direct CP-asymmetries. A good fit fo…
We study the origins of the inaccuracies of Schwinger's nonet mass, and the Sakurai mass-mixing angle, formulae for the pseudoscalar meson nonet, and suggest new versions of them, modified by the inclusion of the pseudoscalar decay constants. We use these new formulae to determine the pseudoscalar decay constants and mixing angle. The results obtained, f_8/f_π=1.185\pm 0.040, f_9/f_π=1.095\pm 0.020, f_η/f_π=1.085\pm 0.025, f_{η^{'}}/f_π=1.195\pm 0.035, θ=(-21.4\pm 1.0)^o, are in excellent agreement with experiment.
A chiral Lagrangian containing, besides the usual meson fields, their first radial excitations is constructed. The Lagrangian is derived by bosonization of a Nambu--Jona-Lasinio (NJL) type quark model with separable nonlocal interactions. The nonlocality is described by form factors corresponding to 3-dimensional excited state wave functions. The spontaneous breaking of chiral symmetry is governed by the standard NJL gap equations. A simple SU(2)xSU(2) version of the model is used to demonstrate all low-energy theorems to hold valid in the chiral limit. A more realistic U(3)xU(3) model with 't…
In this article, we take the point of view that the $0^{++}$ nonet mesons below $1 GeV$ are diquark-antidiquark states $(qq)_{\bar{3}}(\bar{q}\bar{q})_3$, and devote to determine their masses in the framework of the QCD sum rules approach with the interpolating currents constructed from scalar-scalar type and pseudoscalar-pseudoscalar type diquark pairs respectively. The numerical results indicate that the $0^{++}$ nonet mesons may have two possible diquark-antidiquark substructures.
Within the context of a generalized linear sigma model that includes two nonets of scalar mesons (a two-quark nonet and a four-quark nonet) and two nonets of pseudoscalar mesons (a two-quark nonet and a four-quark nonet) a collective description of scalar and pseudoscalar mesons below and above 1 GeV is studied. The quark contents of these states are probed; estimates on their quark components are extracted; and prediction for pi pi scattering amplitude is made. An overview of these studies is presented here.
Theoretical understanding of experimental results from relativistic heavy-ion collisions requires a microscopic approach to the behavior of QCD n-point functions at finite temperatures, as given by the hierarchy of Dyson-Schwinger equations, properly generalized within the Matsubara formalism. The convergence of sums over Matsubara modes is studied. The technical complexity of finite-temperature calculations mandates modeling. We present a model where the QCD interaction in the infrared, nonperturbative domain, is modeled by a separable form. Results for the mass spectrum of light quark flavor…
First part of the paper is devoted to applying the confinement mechanism proposed earlier by the author to estimate the possible parameters of the confining SU(3)-gluonic field in neutral kaons. The estimates obtained are consistent with the widths of the electromagnetic decays $K^0,\bar{K}^0\to2γ$ too. The corresponding estimates of the gluon concentrations, electric and magnetic colour field strengths are also adduced for the mentioned field at the scales of the mesons under consideration. The second part of the paper takes into account the results obtained previously by the author to estima…
We analyze the restoration pattern of the members of the scalar and pseudoscalar meson nonets under chiral $O(4)$ and $U(1)_A$ symmetries. For that purpose, we exploit QCD Ward Identities (WI), which allow one to relate susceptibilities with quark condensates, as well as susceptibility differences with meson vertices. In addition, we consider the low-energy realization of QCD provided by $U(3)$ Chiral Perturbation Theory (ChPT) at finite temperature to perform a full analysis of the different correlators involved. Our analysis suggests $U(1)_A$ partner restoration if chiral symmetry partners a…
We study the origins of the inaccuracies of Schwinger's nonet mass, and the Sakurai mass-mixing angle, formulae for the pseudoscalar meson nonet, and suggest new versions of them, modified by the inclusion of the pseudoscalar decay constants. We use these new formulae to determine the pseudoscalar decay constants and mixing angle. The results obtained, $f_8/f_π= 1.185\pm 0.040,$ $f_9/f_π=1.095\pm 0.020,$ $f_η/f_π= 1.085\pm 0.025,$ $f_{η^{'}}/f_π=1.195\pm 0.035,$ $θ= (-21.4\pm 1.0)^o,$ are in excellent agreement with experiment.
We analyze quark-mass and $1/N_c$ corrections to all of the radiative transitions between the vector-meson nonet and the pseudoscalar-meson nonet within a chiral effective Lagrangian approach. We perform fits of the available coupling constants to experimental data and discuss the corresponding approximations. In terms of five (six) coupling constants, we obtain a reasonably good description of the 12 experimental decay rates.
We point out that meson spectrum indicates the existence of a degenerate chiral nonet in the energy region around 1.4 GeV with a slightly inverted spectrum with respect to a qq nonet. Based on this observation, the approximately linear rising of the mass of a hadron with the number of constituent quarks, and the existence of a cuasidegenerate pseudoscalar nonet, we conjecture the existence of a tetraquark chiral nonet in this energy region with chiral symmetry implemented directly. We realize this idea in a chiral model and take into account the mixing of the tetraquark chiral nonet with a con…
Motivated by the possibility that nonets of scalar mesons might be described as mixtures of "two quark" and "four quark" components, we further study a toy model in which corresponding chiral nonets (containing also the pseudoscalar partners) interact with each other. Although the "two quark" and "four quark" chiral fields transform identically under SU(3)$_L \times$ SU(3)$_R$ transformations they transform differently under the U(1)$_A$ transformation which essentially counts total (quark + antiquark) content of the mesons. To implement this we formulate an effective Lagrangian which mocks up…
Two-body decay widths of lowest lying and next-to-lowest lying scalar and pseudoscalar mesons are studied in Generalized Linear Sigma Model (GLSM) of low-energy QCD. This model which considers mixing between "two quark" and "four quark" chiral nonets has been employed to investigate various decays and scatterings in low energy region of QCD. In this paper, $Γ[f_0(980) \rightarrow K \bar{K}]$ and $Γ[a_0(980) \rightarrow K \bar{K}]$ are obtained and it is shown that two-body decay widths of lowest lying mesons are well predicted by this model while for the next-to-lowest lying mesons, only some …
By the application of a linear mass spectrum to a composite system of both the pseudoscalar and scalar meson nonets, we find three mass relations for the masses of the scalar states which suggest the $q\bar{q}$ assignment for the scalar meson nonet: $a_0(1320),$ $K_0^\ast (1430),$ $f_0(1500),$ $f_0'(980).$
The mechanism where flavour symmetry is broken spontaneously is demonstated for a model involving nonets of pseudoscalar and vector mesons. Degenerate bare nonets of vector and pseudoscalar mesons coupling sufficiently strongly to each others lead to unstable self-consistency equations, such that the SU3$_f$ symmetric spectrum breaks down into a stable isospin symmetric mass spectrum similar to the physical spectrum.
Both the mass spectra and the wave functions of the light pseudoscalar ($π,K,η,η'$) and vector($ρ,K^{*},ω,ϕ$) mesons are analyzed within the framework of the light-cone constituent quark model. A gaussian radial wave function is used as a trial function of the variational principle for a QCD motivated Hamiltonian which includes not only the Coulomb plus confining potential but also the hyperfine interaction to obtain the correct $ρ-π$ splitting. For the confining potential, we use (1) harmonic oscillator potential and (2) linear potential and compare the numerical results for these two cases. …
A new meson mass relation for meson nonet is given after considering mixing with glueball. The mixing between pseudoscalar mesons and pseudoscalar glueball will decrease the mass of glueball by about 500 Mev. So, according to the predicted mass of the pure pseudoscalar glueball given by lattice calculation and effective Hamiltonian, the expected mass of mixed pseudoscalar glueball is about 1.7 Gev. This result is helpful for experimemtal search for the mixed Isoscalar pseudoscalar glueball.
It is pointed out that the omission of the effects of the transition between quarkonia or the assumption that the transition between quarkonia is flavor-independent would result in the inconsistent results for the pseudoscalar meson nonet. It is emphasized that the mass relation of the non-ideal mixing meson nonets should incorporate the effects of the flavor-dependent transition between quarkonia. The new mass relations of a meson nonet are presented.
The contributions of one-loop diagrams with dynamical vector mesons to masses and decay constants of pseudoscalar mesons are determined. Hereby, a relativistic Lagrangian for both the pseudoscalar-meson octet and the vector-meson nonet is used. The vector mesons are given in the antisymmetric tensor representation. Both the differences between static and dynamical vector mesons and the differences between calculations with and without vector mesons are studied as functions of the light quark mass.
We study the SU(3) linear sigma model for the pseudoscalar mesons in the Gaussian Functional Approximation (GFA). We use the SU(3) linear sigma model Lagrangian with nonet scalar and pseudo-scalar mesons including symmetry breaking terms. In the GFA, we take the Gaussian Ansatz for the ground state wave function and apply the variational method to minimize the ground state energy. We derive the gap equations for the dressed meson masses, which are actually just variational parameters in the GFA method. We use the Bethe-Salpeter equation for meson-meson scattering which provides the masses of t…
We re-examine the problem of simultaneously describing in a consistent way all radiative and leptonic decays of light mesons (V -> P gamma, P -> V gamma, P -> gamma gamma, V -> e^+ e^-). For this purpose, we rely on the Hidden Local Symmetry model in both its anomalous and non--anomalous sectors. We show that the SU(3) symmetry breaking scheme proposed by Bando, Kugo and Yamawaki, supplemented with nonet symmetry breaking in the pseudoscalar sector, allows one to reach a nice agreement with all data, except for the K^{*+/-} radiative decay. An extension of this breaking pattern allows one to a…
Underlying mixing of scalar mesons is studied in $η'\rightarrow ηππ$ decay within a generalized linear sigma model of low-energy QCD which contains two nonets of scalar mesons and two nonets of pseudoscalar mesons (a quark-antiquark nonet and a four quark nonet). The model has been previously employed in various investigations of the underlying mixings among scalar mesons below and above 1 GeV (as well as those of their pseudoscalar chiral partners) and has provided a coherent global picture for the physical properties and quark substructure of these states. It is found that the linear sigma m…
Within a linear sigma model framework, possible mixing between two chiral nonets (a two quark nonet, and a four quark nonet) below 2 GeV is studied. Incorporating the U(1)$_A$ behavior of the underlying QCD, and working in the isospin invariant limit, the mass spectra of the I=0, $I=1/2$ and I=1 pseudoscalars, and the $I=1/2$ scalars are studied, and estimates of their quark content are presented. It is found, as expected, that the ordinary and the excited pseudoscalars generally have much less two and four quark admixtures compared to the respective scalars. As by-products, several quantities…
A short review on light scalar mesons is performed both in experiment and theory. A naive model, constrained by D branching ratios, is derived in order to make predictions on the wave functions of the $f_0(600)$ and $a_0(980)$ mesons. This leads us to compute transition form factors between the pseudoscalar $B$ and scalar mesons.
The octet-singlet mixing angle $θ_P$ in the pseudoscalar meson nonet is deduced from the rich set of accurate data on $J/ψ$ decays into a vector and a pseudoscalar meson. Corrections due to non-ideal $ω$-$ϕ$ mixing have been included for the first time and turn out to be crucial to find $θ_P = -16.9 \pm 1.7$ degrees, which is appreciably less negative than previous results coming from similar analyses.
We have recently extended the scalar-pseudoscalar sector of a generalized NJL Lagrangian that includes all NLO non derivative interactions in Nc counting (including explicit symmetry breaking ones) in order to incorporate the spin 1 mesons in the low-lying ground state of QCD [1]. Upon bosonization, the well known mixing of the scalar-vector and of the pseudoscalar- axial-vector fields occurs in the quadratic part of the Lagrangian. We show that a linearized diagonalization of these terms can be effected in a completely general way without compromising the underlying symmetries of the Lagrangi…
The σ(600) and κ(900), observed in the phase shift analyses, satisfy rather well the mass and width relation predicted by the SU(3)LsM and the SU(3)LsM with the vector and axial-vector meson nonets, and deserve to be the members of scalar σ-nonet, together with the observed resonances a_0(980) and f_0(980), as a chiral partner of pseudoscalar π-nonet. In the phase shift analyses an introduction of repulsive background phase δ_{BG} is essential, whose origin has a close connection to the λϕ^4 interaction in LsM. It is argued that the members of this σ-nonet, "Chiralons", have different properti…
We expand the study of the pseudoscalar glueball and its first excited state by constructing an interaction Lagrangian which produces the two- and three-body decays of the pseudoscalar glueball, $J^{PC}=0^{-+}$, into the (pseudo)scalar and the excited (pseudo)scalar mesons as well as by constructing other two different chiral Lagrangians which describe the two- and three-body decays of the first excited pseudoscalar glueball, $J^{PC}=0^{*-+}$, into the (pseudo)scalar and the excited (pseudo)scalar mesons. We compute the decay channels for the ground state of a pseudoscalar glueball with a mass…
Recently, the tetraquark mixing framework has been proposed as a possible structure for the two light-meson nonets in the $J^P=0^+$ channel, the light nonet composed of $a_0(980)$, $K_0^*(700)$, $f_0(500)$, $f_0(980)$, and the heavy nonet of $a_0(1450)$, $K_0^*(1430)$, $f_0(1370)$, $f_0(1500)$. Among various signatures, we report in this work that their partial decay widths collected from various experimental data in Particle Data Group (PDG) can support this mixing scheme also. In particular, we demonstrate that the couplings of the light nonet to two pseudoscalar mesons estimated from the pa…
We study two nonets of excited vector mesons, predominantly corresponding to radially excited vector mesons with quantum numbers $n\hspace{0.08cm} ^{2S+1}L_{J}$ $=2^3S_1$ and to orbitally excited vector mesons with quantum numbers $n\hspace{0.08cm} ^{2S+1}L_{J}=1^3D_1$. We evaluate two types of decays of these mesons: into two pseudoscalar mesons and into a pseudoscalar and a ground-state vector meson. We compare the results with experimental data taken from PDG. We also make predictions for the strange-antistrange state in the $1^3D_1$ nonet denoted as $ϕ(1930)$, which has not yet been discov…
We carry out a $U$-spin symmetry analysis for CP violation in $B^- $ decays into three light $π^-π^-π^+$, $π^- K^-K^+$, $K^-K^-K^+$ and $K^- π^-π^+$ mesons. We clarify some subtle points in constructing decay amplitudes with $U=0$ formed by the two negatively charged light mesons in the final states. $U$-spin conserving momentum independent and momentum dependent decay amplitudes, and $U$-spin violating decay amplitudes due to quark mass difference are constructed.
We rederive the new SU(3) multiplet mass formula 2M^2(s\bar{s})+3M^2(n\bar{n}, I=1)=4M^2(s\bar{n})+M^2(n\bar{n},I=0) (n=u,d}, obtained in our previous paper by using Regge phenomenology, for the pseudoscalar and scalar mesons in the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model with instanton-induced interaction. We apply this formula to the problem of the correct q\bar{q} assignment for the scalar meson nonet. Our results strongly favor the masses of the scalar isoscalar mostly octet and mostly singlet states in the vicinity of 1.45 GeV and 1.1 GeV, respectively
The evidence for the low mass J^{PC}=0^{++} states is reconsidered. We suggest classifying the isoscalars f_0(980) and f_0(1500) as members of the 0^{++} nonet, with a mixing rather similar to that of the pseudoscalars η' and η. The broad state called f_0(400-1200) or `sigma'' and the state f_0(1370) are considered as different signals from a single broad resonance, which we take to be the lowest-lying 0^{++} glueball. The main arguments in favor of these hypotheses are presented and compared with theoretical expectations.
We show that the κ, a_0(980), σand the f_0(980) resonances constitute the lightest scalar nonet in three different and complementary ways. First, by establishing the continuous movement of the poles from the physical to a SU(3) limit. Second, by performing an analysis of the couplings of the scalar mesons to pairs of pseudoscalars and third, by analysing the couplings of the scalars with meson-meson SU(3) scattering eigenstates. Every of the last two methods agree that the mixing angle between the singlet and the octet I=0 states is θ= 19^o\pm 5 degrees, so that the σis mainly the singlet and …
This paper is the SU(3) extension of the dynamically generated SU(2) linear $σ$ model Lagrangian worked out previously using dimensional regularization. After discussing the quark-level Goldberger-Treiman relations for SU(3) and the related gap equations, we dynamically generate the meson cubic and quartic couplings. This also constrains the meson-quark coupling constant to $g=2π/\sqrt3$ and determines the SU(3) scalar meson masses in a Nambu-Jona-Lasinio fashion. Finally we dynamically induce the U(3) pseudoscalar and scalar mixing angles in a manner compatible with data.
We consider the vector meson mixing scheme and mass splitting within the framework of an extended $U(3)_L\bigotimes U(3)_R$ chiral effective field theory based on the hidden local symmetry approach where, the pseudoscalar and vector meson nonets play the role of dynamic variables. Unlike other variants of this model, we show that the diagonalization of the vector meson mass matrix and the assumption that its eigenvalues are identical with the physical meson masses, determines the mixing scheme as well as the model free parameters. We show that VMD can be derived from our lagrangian and that fo…
We present a VMD based model aiming to describe all radiative decays of light mesons. We show that the SU(3) breaking mechanism proposed by Bando, Kugo and Yamawaki (BKY), supplemented by nonet symmetry breaking in the pseudoscalar sector are sufficient to provide a nice description of all data, except the charged K* radiative width. It is also shown that nonet symmetry breaking has effects which cannot be disantangled from those produced by coupling of glue to the eta' meson. Coupling of glue to $η$ is not found to be required by the data. Asssuming the charged K* radiative width is indeed at…
We study the decays of the pseudotensor mesons $[ π_{2}(1670) , K_{2}(1770) , η_{2}(1645) , η_{2}(1870) ]$ interpreted as the ground-state nonet of $1^1 D_{2}$ $\bar{q}q$ states using interaction Lagrangians which couple them to pseudoscalar, vector, and tensor mesons. While the decays of $π_2 (1670)$ and $K_2 (1770)$ can be well described, the decays of the isoscalar states $η_2 (1645)$ and $η_2 (1870)$ can be brought in agreement with experimental data only if the mixing angle between nonstrange and strange states is surprisingly large (about $-42^\circ$, similar to the mixing in the pseudos…
Scalar glueball is implemented in single nonet linear sigma model (SNLSM) which basically includes lowest lying scalar and pseudoscalar mesons. Our new version of SNLSM involves mixing among scalar matter fields and glueball field which is enforced by scale symmetry considerations and the associated anomaly. Performing iterative Monte Carlo simulations, it is found that among the three candidates of scalar glueball, i.e., $f_0(1370)$, $f_0(1500)$ and $f_0(1710)$, only $f_0(1500)$ is predominately a glueball state with the mass prediction of $1.566 \pm 0.046$ GeV and the other two are predomina…
We discuss the theoretical expectations and phenomenological evidence for the lightest glueballs and the members of the meson nonet with quantum numbers J^PC=0^{++}. We reconsider the recent evidence for candidate states with masses below ~1700 MeV, but include also the results from earlier phase-shift analyses. Arguments are presented to classify the scalars f_0(980) and f_0(1500) as members of the 0^{++} nonet, with a mixing rather similar to that of the pseudoscalars eta' and eta. The S-wave states called f_0(400-1200) and f_0(1370) are considered as different signals from a single broad re…
While the ground-state tensor ($J^{PC}=2^{++}$) mesons $a_{2}(1320)$, $K_{2}^{\ast}(1430)$, $f_{2}(1270)$, and $f_{2}^{\prime}(1525)$ are well known experimentally and form an almost ideal nonet of quark-antiquark states, their chiral partners, the ground-states axial-tensor ($J^{PC}=2^{--}$) mesons are poorly settled: only the kaonic member $K_2(1820)$ of the nonet has been experimentally found, whereas the isovector state $ρ_2$ and two isoscalar states $ω_2$ and $ϕ_2$ are still missing. Here, we study masses, strong, and radiative decays of tensor and axial-tensor mesons within a chiral mode…
The available data on the a0(980), f0(980), f0(1300) and K*0(1430) mesons are fitted as a distorted 0++ nonet using only 6 parameters and a very general model. This includes all light two-pseudoscalar thresholds, constraints from Adler zeroes, flavour symmetric couplings, unitarity and physically acceptable analyticity. One finds that with the large overall coupling there can appear two physical resonance poles from only one q bar q state. Thus the f0(980) and f0(1300) resonance poles are two manifestations of the same s bar s state. On the other hand, the u bar u state, when unitarized and st…
The spectrum and the mixing angle of the light scalar nonet mesons are studied using the extended Nambu-Jona-Lasinio (NJL) model as well as the improved ladder approximation (ILA) of QCD with U_A(1) symmetry breaking interaction. The U_A(1) breaking is represented by the Kobayashi-Maskawa-'t Hooft (KMT) interaction. The strength of the KMT interaction in the NJL model is determined so as to reproduce the electromagnetic decays of the ηmeson. That in the ILA approach is determined so as to reproduce the pseudoscalar meson spectrum. In the extended NJL model, we study the qualitative features of…
A chiral U(3)*U(3) Lagrangian containing, besides the usual meson fields, their first radial excitations is constructed. The Lagrangian is derived by bosonization of the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio quark model with separable non-local interactions, with form factors corresponding to 3-dimensional ground and excited state wave functions. The spontaneous breaking of chiral symmetry is governed by the NJL gap equation. The first radial excitations of the pions, kaons and vector meson nonet are described with the help of five different form factors. Each form factor contains only one arbitrary parameter. T…
We point out that the spectrum of pseudoscalar and scalar mesons exhibits a cuasi-degenerate chiral nonet in the energy region around 1.4 GeV whose scalar component has a slightly inverted spectrum. Based on the empirical linear rising of the mass of a hadron with the number of constituent quarks which yields a mass around $1.4 $GeV for tetraquarks, we conjecture that this cuasi-chiral nonet arises from the mixing of a chiral nonet composed of tetraquarks with conventional bar{q}q states. We explore this possibility in the framework of a chiral model assuming a tetraquark chiral nonet around 1…
The observation of the light hybrid candidate $η_1(1855)$ by the BESIII Collaboration brings great opportunities for advancing our knowledges about exotic hadrons in the light flavor sector. We show that this observation provides a crucial clue for establishing the $J^{P(C)}=1^{-(+)}$ hybrid nonet. Based on the flux tube model picture, the production and decay mechanisms for the $J^{P(C)}=1^{-(+)}$ hybrid nonet in the $J/ψ$ radiative decays into two pseudoscalar mesons are investigated. In the $I=0$ sector, we find that the SU(3) flavor octet and singlet mixing is non-negligible and apparently…
Starting from a relativistic Lagrangian for pseudoscalar Goldstone bosons and vector mesons in the antisymmetric tensor representation, a one-loop calculation is performed to pin down the divergent structures that appear for the effective low-energy action at chiral orders Q^2 and Q^4. The corresponding renormalisation-scale dependences of all low-energy constants up to chiral order Q^4 are determined. Calculations are carried out for both the pseudoscalar octet and the pseudoscalar nonet, the latter in the framework of chiral perturbation theory in the limit of a large number of colours.
The electromagnetic structure of the pseudoscalar meson nonet is completely described by the sophisticated Unitary&Analytic model, respecting all known theoretical properties of the corresponding form factors.
Similarly to the electromagnetic pseudoscalar-meson transition form factors one can define also strange-quark vector current pseudoscalar-meson transition form factors, contributing only to a behaviour of the isoscalar parts of the previous ones. Their explicit form is found by constructing unitary and analytic models of the strange pseudoscalar-meson transition form factors dependent only on $ω$ and $ϕ$ coupling constant ratios as a free parameters. Numerical values of these ratios are then determined from the corresponding pseudoscalar-meson transition form factors by employing the $ω$-$ϕ$ m…
Following the re-establishment of the σ(600) and the κ(900), the light scalar mesons a_0(980) and f_0(980) together with the σ(600) and the κ(900) are considered as the chiral scalar partner of pseudoscalar nonet in SU(3) chiral symmetry, and the high mass scalar mesons a_0(1450), K^*_0(1430), f_0(1370) and f_0(1710) turned out to be considered as the L=1 q\bar{q} scalar mesons. We assume that the high mass of the L=1 q\bar{q} scalar mesons is caused by the mixing with the light scalar mesons. For the structure of the light scalar mesons, we adopted the qq\bar{q}\bar{q} model in order to expla…
The effective quark interactions that break explicitly the chiral SU(3)_L X SU(3)_R and U_A(1) symmetries by current-quark mass source terms are considered in NLO in $N_c$ counting. They are of the same order as the 't Hooft flavor determinant and the eight quark interactions that extend the LO Nambu-Jona-Lasinio Lagrangian, and complete the set of non-derivative and spin 0 interactions relevant for the $N_c$ scheme. The bosonized Lagrangian at meson tree level describes accurately the empirical ordering and magnitude of the splitting of states in the low lying pseudoscalar and scalar meson no…
The firm understanding of standard quark-antiquark states (including excited states) is necessary to search for non-conventional mesons with the same quantum numbers. In this work, we study the phenomenology of two nonets of excited vector mesons, which predominantly correspond to radially excited vector mesons with quantum numbers $n$ $^{2S+1}L_{J}=2$ $^{3}S_{1}$ and to orbitally excited vector mesons with quantum numbers $n$~ $^{2S+1}L_{J}=1$ $^{3}D_{1}$. We evaluate the decays of these mesons into two pseudoscalar mesons and into a pseudoscalar and a ground-state vector meson by making use …
We discuss for some particular non supersymmetric theories a generalized symmetry that includes both the scale and axial transformations and leads to a single current that may contain also a pseudoscalar term. The method, inspired by the superconformal anomalies has important application for low energy effective models where it allows the introduction of a single complex glueball field with a scalar and a pseudoscalar component on the same footing with the complex meson nonets fields made of quarks. Both axial and trace and axial anomalies are satisfied in accordance to the meson structure and…
In this work, we investigate additional signatures to support the tetraquark mixing framework that has been recently proposed as a possible structure for the two nonets, namely $a_0 (980)$, $K_0^* (800)$, $f_0 (500)$, $f_0 (980)$ in the light nonet, $a_0 (1450)$, $K_0^* (1430)$, $f_0 (1370)$, $f_0 (1500)$ in the heavy nonet. First, we advocate that the two nonets form the flavor nonet approximately satisfying the Gell-Mann--Okubo mass relation. Then we reexamine the mass ordering generated from the tetraquark nonets and show that this mass ordering is satisfied by the two nonets although the o…
