Precursors of Short Gamma-Ray Bursts in the SPI-ACS/INTEGRAL Experiment

We have analyzed the light curves of 519 short gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) detected in the SPI-ACS/INTEGRAL experiment from December 2002 to May 2014 to search for precursors. Both the light curves of 519 individual events and the averaged light curve of 372 brightest bursts have been analyzed. In a few cases, we have found and thoroughly studied precursor candidates based on SPI-ACS/INTEGRAL, GBM/Fermi, and LAT/Fermi data. A statistical analysis of the averaged light curve for the entire sample of short bursts has revealed no regular precursor. Upper limits for the relative intensity of precursors have been estimated. No convincing evidence for the existence of precursors of short GRBs has been found. We show that the fraction of short GRBs with precursors is less than 0.4% of all short bursts.

Extended Emission from Short Gamma-Ray Bursts Detected with SPI-ACS/INTEGRAL

The short duration (T90 < 2 s) gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) detected in the SPI-ACS experiment onboard the INTEGRAL observatory are investigated. Averaged light curves have been constructed for various groups of events, including short GRBs and unidentified short events. Extended emission has been found in the averaged light curves of both short GRBs and unidentified short events. It is shown that the fraction of the short GRBs in the total number of SPI-ACS GRBs can range from 30 to 45%, which is considerably larger than has been thought previously.

Timing properties of gamma-ray bursts detected by SPI-ACS detector on board of INTEGRAL

We study timing properties of a large sample of gamma-ray bursts (GRB) detected by the Anti-Coincidence Shield (ACS) of the SPI spectrometer of INTEGRAL telescope. Calibration of the INTEGRAL SPI Anti Coincidence Shield with Gamma Ray Bursts observations

Population synthesis of gamma-ray bursts with precursor activity and the spinar paradigm

We study statistical properties of long gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) produced by the collapsing cores of WR stars in binary systems. Fast rotation of the cores enables a two-stage collapse scenario, implying the formation of a spinar-like object. A burst produced by such a collapse consists of two pulses, whose energy budget is enough to explain observed GRBs. Gamma-Ray Observations of Nova Sgr 2015 No. 2 with INTEGRAL

INTEGRAL observed the nova V5668 Sgr around the time of its optical maximum on March 21, 2015. Studies at UV wavelengths showed spectral lines of freshly produced Be-7. A precursor interpretation for the Crab supernova 1054 A.D. very early light curve

In spite that the Crab supernova in 1054 A.D. was studied over the years, it is still not clear what type of event produced the explosion. Observation of the second LIGO/Virgo event connected with binary neutron star merger S190425z in the gamma-ray range
